The simplicity and beauty of this lovely lady’s maternity images really touched me. While these two images are beautiful in colour also, there is just something about the simplicity of black and white that I love. When an image is viewed in black and white you stop looking at the pretty colours and start looking at the subject and at the subject’s soul. This is her, she is simply beautiful, inside and out.

I photographed this older sister back when she was her little sister’s age, and it was fun to see how she had grown. Her little sister is a doll too, and her mom said she has the cutest little cabbage patch kids smile. The little miss really does look like a cabbage patch doll, what a cutie. I can’t tell you how much I LOVE getting to watch little people grow from year to year. It has been so fun to see this little miss since she was in the tummy, a newborn, 1 year old and now two years old. She is a doll and so loved and cherished by her parents. The only thing more fun than photographing kids is seeing the hoops their parents will jump through to get their kids to smile for the camera. There is no such thing as dignity in my studio! Lol! It totally paid off mom and dad, and her pictures are wonderful… Enjoy!

There is nothing like waiting for the birth of your baby. Wondering who this new little person will be. Whose toes will they have? Whose nose? And the anticipation and wondering still doesn’t prepare you for the day you finally meet them and discover, your new little person doesn’t have your nose, or even your husband’s for that matter, but instead, is the spitting image of his great great grandpa. I love that! How random… and how wonderful at the same time, seeing life passed on like that.

Better late than never! I am so behind in sharing session images right now. this little guy is from last month, he is a doll, and as you can see, his sister thinks he is pretty wonderful!

It was so nice to see this gorgeous family again back with their second child! I had the pleasure of photographing their oldest when she was a newborn and it was wonderful to see how she had grown.
