Listen to the wisdom of your body. When you adopt a certain habit / behavior, ask yourself, “Am I feeling good or bad?” If your body sends a signal of discomfort or distress, stop what you are doing. If your body feels comfort / satisfaction, continue what you are doing.

2. The power is not in the past or the future, it is now. Live in the present. Do not struggle against the flow of the unwise. In short, no sense in worrying. Take it one step at a time.

3. Meditate. Make time for silence. Pay close attention to your inner life.

4. Drop your need for social / external approval. You are the sole judge of your worth, not society.

5. Respond to every situation no matter how painful. Anger will only delay your healing.

6. Know that your outer world is guided by your inner world. Attune your wants or desires from within to reflect from without.

7. Withhold judgment. Everything in your life can be forgiven and understood. Don’t judge others, least of all yourself.

8. Don’t contaminate your system with toxic food, emotions, actions.

9. Replace fear with love. Remembering a past hurt will only weaken your capacity to love again without fear.

10. You are connected to the earth and to every person in this planet. Raise your consciousness to embrace this truth.

Eating plan

Five nights a week, eat fish or poultry (boiled, broiled, roasted). Remove skin before eating.
Have a large raw salad (not more than 1 tsp of oil in dressing).
Eat a small boiled potato.
Avoid alcohol as much as you can.
Don’t have dessert everyday. Skip a day in between desserts.
Take chromium pecolinate complex (200 mg 1-3 times daily) before exercise to speed up weight loss.
Take amino acids argimen 2000 mg and ornethine before bedtime when cells are regenerating. For the natural release of growth hormones, best on an empty stomach and taken with water or juice. (Caution: contraindicated for children and persons with herpes or schizophrenic conditions)
Truths to remember
Cells are influenced by every feeling, thought and action. Thus if you think old, you will speed up the clock.
Stress hormones play a huge and critical part in aging. Therefore when you make a lifestyle change, your cells will respond better by producing less stress hormones.
Taking drugs like growth hormones may have an anti-aging effect on the body but, science still doesn’t know its long-term side effects. Once withdrawn, you are hooked because it isn’t permanent. Studies show that even if an abnormal hormone balance causes aging, what can have a more dramatic effect on your look is the message you send your body. In short, by enhancing your sense of fulfillment and happiness you can prolong your youthful looks. But the responsibility for changing your awareness is up to you.
Here are some more pointers:
Never rush through your meal. Eat calmly.
Don’t be controlled by deadlines.
Eat freshly picked vegetables. Don’t eat leftovers which are considered harmful.
Food preparation should only be raw or boiled—nothing fried.
Light eating is better than heavy eating.
Affirm youthfulness: Because life is a creative endeavor, you are constantly creating and recreating yourself. Believe that you can and you will.
Affirm “Life flows through me endlessly.”
Love and light!

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. Examples of services a VA can do include web design and maintenance, word processing, meeting and event planning, desktop publishing, internet research, e-mail coordination, business start-up consultations and so much more. This can be the perfect work-at-home opportunity for many with good computer and Internet skills. Following are several Do’s and Don’ts to keep in mind for starting and operating your Virtual Assisting business.

DO -- Decide on a targeted market and initially focus your marketing efforts in that area. By developing a “niche” in your field, your reputation spreads quickly and soon you become a recognized expert. Several specialties include: medical, legal or business transcription, resume consulting, transaction coordination -- real estate industry, desktop publishing, manuscript preparing, academic typing, e-mail support, internet research, etc.

DO -- Be creative about where you can find business. The Internet offers a large variety of potential for clients just waiting for you to contact them. Actively network and don’t limit your marketing to simply placing a few ads in newspapers or the Yellow Pages. You want to find where there might be a need—and go fill it!

DO -- Write a complete business plan and marketing plan. Too many leave out this vital step and waste valuable time unorganized and without a clear-cut goal and direction for their business. When starting a business you will have tons of ideas floating around. You need to materialize all these and put them into a workable plan of action.

DO -- Develop a website that looks sensational! Your website is often the first connection a potential client has with your services. It must immediately let them know that they are dealing with a professional. Your site must then have the POWER to draw them to you and contact you. Let them see that you value quality by the look and feel of it. Additional tips include letting them know what services you offer and why you are qualified to offer those services by mentioning your experience and education. Be sure to include points on why you stand out among the rest and are the BEST! For example, if you have been featured in articles, radio shows, etc., have them listed with the dates. (See my example on www.virtualwordpublishing.com)

DO -- Learn everything you can about starting a business. Knowledge is power and the more you know, the greater your chances for success. Look to online services and message boards and chats to talk with other Virtual Assistants operating a business. Remember these are often run by pros who have been in business for years and are willing to share their experience. For example, I mentor and manage virtual assisting boards on HBWM.com, Bizymoms.com, Momspreneursonline.com and VAnetworking.com. With 20 year’s experience, I often know what works and what doesn’t in starting a business and staying successful, so my experience can prove beneficial.

DO -- Join associations that are targeted for our Industry. A few of the more popular ones are IAVOA.com and IVAA.com, but there are many others. By connecting with these associations and being active, you learn from them what works and what doesn’t and you are able to post your questions to associate members via list serves often getting answers to your questions within minutes.

DO -- Read, read, read. By frequently continuing to increase your skills and your knowledge of your profession, the end result is a more confident satisfied you. Every tip you get from a book can be a new tool in your business. I recommend highlighting areas from several books and adding them to your library. Keep in mind that you might not use that idea today, but it might apply to specialties you might add down the road.

DO -- Enjoy!! There’s no greater feeling than landing that first client or finishing your first big project. Plus, wait until you get the opportunity to tell someone you own and operate your own virtual assisting business. It sure beats I’m a secretary at .... Plus, when you enjoy your business it shows. Your clients will sense your positive attitude and want to be a part of your team.

DON'T – Under price your services. The average virtual assistant today makes $25 to $70 an hour, depending on their skills, services offered, location, and years of experience. Don’t make the mistake of assuming if you charge the lowest prices, you’ll get the most work. You won’t. Instead, you’ll end up working outrageous hours for peanuts! Clients will pay more for professional services. When a potential client discovers you’re charging a lower rate than standard, they often feel they will receive a quality of services that is also lower.

DON'T -- Overextend yourself. One of the common mistakes many virtual assistants make is to accept too much work and then not be able to accurately complete it. Learn to say no or have a back-up helper who can assist you with any overflow work. Remember one of the most important ingredients for success is keeping your clients satisfied. If you overextend yourself and make a lot of errors, it will jeopardize your business.

DON'T -- Get discouraged. It takes time to get a business going. Plan ahead and have money saved in reserve. Don’t buy items until you have found the best possible price and there is an absolute need. This advance planning takes the pressure off of having to make money NOW. If things are slow and the phone just isn’t ringing ... MAKE IT RING!! There’s plenty of work out there, you just need to aggressively pursue it.

Finally, the most important ingredient for success is your belief in yourself. If you believe that with your skills and experience, you can own your own business, then there’s nothing stopping you. DREAMS DO COME TRUE. SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO MAKE THEM HAPPEN.

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. Seriously, there is a lot to take in but don't worry, you'll get there. It's fantastic learning new things on a daily basis whereas before, back in the real world, your brain was becoming stagnant. People would ask you questions and you would respond as if on auto pilot. That's no way to live! As a new virtual secretary you will become a new person, totally alive with all senses operating at peak performance. Try to keep it under control otherwise you'll burn out. If this happens, step away from the computer! For at least one day anyway.

The first thing you'll need in order to succeed is belief in yourself. I think it also helps to have supportive people around you. If you don't have this at home then seek out a virtual assistant forum. Definitely do this even if you do have a great support network at home. What you learn from other virtual assistants will be invaluable in the early stages of setting up your business.

Early on I came across a very helpful bunch at the Yahoo! Group - VAIG - Virtual Assistants International Group. From there I found other similar groups and resources to help me start my business. I'm happy with this group because they are on my time zone. They are also extremely friendly and helpful, especially to new virtual assistants who are so inquisitive. The group is open to any virtual assistants or aspiring virtual assistants from anywhere in the world but you may find one in your time zone where you feel immediately at home.

One of the most popular virtual assistant networks in Australia is A Clayton's Secretary. They have all of the resources you'll need to set up and get started. Because I'm a member here I'm able to access the job leads board which is a source of new jobs and clients. The great thing about this is that if one virtual assistant has too much work she can outsource it to another virtual assistant. I have picked up a lot of work this way and it was the perfect stepping stone to my own clients.

The virtual assistant industry is definitely one where you will receive help from your so called "competitors". Other virtual assistants are happy to share their experiences, be they good or bad, for you to learn from. No more office angst, rush hour traffic, required business attire or limited vacation and sick days. But being a successful freelancer requires discipline, commitment and a proactive nature to ensure that your business thrives.

As a freelance worker, you don’t have a boss – you have many bosses. The people who employ you to do a job for them are all your bosses and must be treated with the same respect as any other boss. This means getting projects done on time and showing up to work each day, even if it is the comfort of your own home.

Freelancers learn to prioritize. Make a list each day of what needs to get done and do them in the order of importance. It may mean returning someone’s call first and then starting on that newsletter second. Meeting deadlines is crucial in the freelance world, so organization is key.

Divide your day into sections. Use the first third of your day to work on current projects, the second third for marketing your business through advertising, newsletters and other means, and the last third on networking, which includes making contacts with new potential employers.

Consider searching for new employers and job opportunities in craigslist/manila as well as bestjobs.ph. That's where I got my Luck! Good Luck to us, may we succeed!!!

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. Most of us think that sleep is simply restorative: we go about our day, become tired and then fall asleep at night, during which we recover our energies for the coming day, similar to a battery being recharged.

In fact, sleep is far more complex. Sleep is regulated by two different systems -- the circadian (24-hour) system and the sleep-wake system -- which, together, determine alertness, performance and the timing of sleep.

I better get some sleep now, i want to meet God but as of the moment I still want to be busy here on earth. Because this is the time when extended families get together to celebrate, exchange gifts, and eat way more food and just be happy.

But for me, the nearly awaited Christmas season puts the sad feelings inside my lungs, its hard to breath while thinking about the Noche Buena and the exchange of gifts..This will no longer happen--more to be endured than enjoyed. It brings me painful memories of a happy childhood then at the blink of my eye went unimaginable, death of my Dad, misfortunate events in my life, a big war against me and my mom..well its really overwhelming. All of the surroundings just seem to glitter and the happiness of the people excited for this season is just mearly intensifying those memories

     .

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. They told us to come back tomorrow for the release of my Police Clearance. Me and my hubby decided not to get a postal ID for some reasons, we said " bahala na, Yung Police Clearance nlng muna..." We are now running low in cash that is why we need to save. Sabi ng hubby ko, tiis tiis lang muna till magkapera n kami. Its not that far from our payday naman na..so all is well. On our way home i felt so sad kasi i dont want to go home yet, i still want to stay outdoors. Naisip ko, ok na din...wala n nga kaming extra money for "gala"...uwi nalang kami...

At home, im somehow refreshed, its really nice to walk in the rain specially when your down.
We played with our baby PaoPao...hes a baby golden labrador, 2 months old. Ive been in that situation before and all of those times in the back of my head i was telling myself to stop. but this time, with my spiderman (heehee), the back of my mind is just telling me to let my fears go and just fall. ive never been treated this well, nor had somebody just stare at me and smile. ive never had a guy give me back all of the feelings that i was putting into the relationship. but my spiderman has no shame in showing me how he feels. i cant stop smiling when im with him, no i even when im not with him im smiling just because im thinkin about him. i am the luckiest...

-his MaryJane Watson

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. My sister is someone who wants everything her own way and she thinks that she is perfect and she can have all of us follow her lead because she is supporting our needs... My mom doesnt understand what I feel, whenever i tell her that i am left out and misunderstood she will not care and think that im stupid. She sees me as a pain in the neck and i should follow my sisters footsteps and be a good daughter... I want to prove her tha I am a good daughter and I love her so much, but she just dont give importance to what I do and everything i say, whenever I am at home from work,we would just always argue or fight or fight about small things. i cry and cry till my heart stops... i swear everything is falling apart...I just wish that everything turns out right soon. I love my family. SO MUCH> I wish tonight my mom dreams of me, i wish that she see me in her dreams crying for her love and understanding. I know that everyone needs money and our family is in a financial crisis now. My sister is the only one who supports us at the moment and it brings her so much pressure because she is a single mom for her two sons and at the same time she sends money to my mom... I want to help her someday, hopefully by the 15th of this month i can have my first salary from working as a Virtual Assistant so that I can pay off some of my debts to my sister and I can provide my mom some of her needs...

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. Nobody knows better than me that it's the little things that matter. I'm down to earth and reserved, romance works best for me when it's not dressed up like a big stereotype. I'm pretty sure that i am one of the last people on earth to propose in skywriting! After all, I think that things are best done with a little discretion and common sense, in love and out.

For me JLo explained it best when she sang, "My love don't cost a thing." So true! It's the little things in life that show just how important I am to the ones who love me.

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occurs to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved road, straight flat road to no where. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet effect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experience can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things. Make everyday count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high, hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don`t, no one ever will..

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. For some, this realization is a complete shock and for others, they have seen the writing on the wall for some time now. Breakup signs are often very difficult to spot, primarily because the people involved often do not want to admit that the relationship has failed. And unless something comes along and hits them in the face, telling them it's over; the natural tendency is to try to work through the problems. This happens more so when the couple have been together for a while. The question that remains, therefore, is at what point do you really know that it's over? First lets start with the glaring signs that the relationship is over:

1. You catch your partner in the act of having an unforgivable affair.
2. Your partner uses physical violence against you.
3. You argue non-stop about everything. You can't agree on anything.

The above are obvious, any of the three things occurring above,

ESPECIALLY NUMBER TWO,

are sure signs that the relationship is coming to an, often abrupt, end.
There are however some other signs to look out for. Sometimes it is necessary to accept the painful fact that the relationship you are in is just not good for you.

While I am usually the staunchest advocate for the "you can make it through anything as long as you have love" club, even I have to admit that there are situations where one or both of the partners are just better off apart.

The most common instance of this is when one partner is INTENTIONALLY holding the other partner back.

When two people have separate dreams and goals, friction can occur, especially if neither of them are willing to compromise. In some instances, however, jealousy leads one of the partner's to be excessively controlling of the other. In these situations, if they are

UNRESOLVABLE,

it is better to leave than stay.

Other reasons to leave include:
1. You realize that you don't love your partner.
2. You find yourself thinking more and more about how good single life was.
3. You realize that your partner doesn't love you, but is with you because they don't want to hurt you.
4. You have no common interests or goals.
5. You find that you cannot stand their annoying little habits, and they won't change.
6. You find it impossible to be yourself around your partner.
7. Your partner cuts you down, makes you feel bad about yourself, and constantly devalues your goals and ideas.

Under no circumstances should anyone stay in a relationship that is bad for them, just because they feel that being in a relationship, even a bad one, is better than being alone.

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P. Oh God I wish it wasn't me."

A Quote from Sam's diary in the movie IF ONLY..i watched it again today for the 12th time. (still gives me the tears)

"Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. Yesterday nagswimming ako kasama ang family ng boyfriend ko. Then later that day nainjury sya sa pool, ung shoulder nya nasubsob nung nglalaro sila ng brothers nya. Kaya ayun, masakit ngayon yung shoulder nya, namamaga pa. Being a nursing student for almost 2 years syempre may alam naman ako kahit papano sa mga remedies pantanggal ng maga at inflammation. I told him to apply a cold pack dun sa shoulder nya. 20 minutes na i-massage nya sa shoulder nya yung ice pack, not more than 20 minutes. Tapos after 2 hours or 3 hours ulitin nya yun, para mawala yung pagkamaga. I mean, effective talaga yun kahit isearch nyo pa sa net, eh nagdouble check p nga ako kung tama yung ipapagawa ko sa kanya para naman hindi sya mapasama pa lalo sa ituturo ko. Well, i was right tama naman yung ice compress, kaya i was confident na sabihin sa kanya yun. Then he texted me back, sabi nya "Ney, sabi sakin ni kuya Popo ( his older brother ) wag daw, malalamigan daw lalo mas mapapasama daw pag nilagyan ko ng y elo. Salonpas nalang daw, kung yelo daw dapat kagabi pa eh masyado na daw late kung ngayon ko pa lalagyan." I was like, ah ok... nakakabadtrip! pero i insisted, nagtext ako. I told him " no, ney its ok. Within 48 hours naman pwede pa yan. mawawala pagkamaga. Ung salonpas ok din kaso temporary yun tapos bibili ka pa eh pwede naman ice."
he texted back, " bibili ako mamaya ng salonpas ney, i love you" i said to myself, ok.. shut up angela. Its just so nakakainis, i am so eager to tell him what i know pa naman and para mawala yung sakit na nararamdaman nya pero hindi nya pinakinggan. Stupid of me! ayun i remained calm nung magkausap kami sa phone. Hindi ko na pinagpilitan na gawin nya yung sinabi ko at paniwalaan nya na tama yun. After a few minutes, sabi p nya. " ney, may mali daw dun sa resume na ginawa mo para kay ryan." Duh, ako n nga yung gumawa nagrereklamo pa sila. haay naku i dont wanna be bad. pero sana naappreciate nila kung may problema sana matuto syang gumawa ng paraan para maayos yun, wag na iasa pa sakin. ( to his brother! ) i said nalang sige aayusin ko. Then i told my boyfriend may gagawin ako, (coldly) afterwards i texted him. Maglunch ka na ney, love you.

I typed agad here what i feel...sobrang badtrip ako.. grabe!

noreply@blogger.com (Maria Angela P.
