My nephew is a handful to say the least but he manages to put a smile on my face and when he says he loves me or "steals my sugar" I feel this warmth in my heart. So when Christmas rolled around I wanted to make him something special for his tree and being that he LOVES dinosaurs I had to make him some cute Dino ornaments.

The great thing about these ornaments is they are EASY to make and VERY inexpensive. All you need to do is go to a Dollar Tree (or any dollar store) get bags of Dino's and some eye hooks. I got 3 bags of Dino's with eight in each bag. They were so easy to make. I pre poked a hole using a fork and just screwed the eye hooks in. My nephew loves them and well so do I.

For months I have been back in South Carolina and I have avoided writing on my blog. It hasn't been because I don't have plenty to say because I do. But I didn't know how to put into words what was going on in my life and honestly I still don't. However I am happy in the fact that I am back in South Carolina.

So far in the five months I have been home it has been a whirl wind of seeing family and friends and getting used to this wonderful Carolina weather. Like today it is 75* outside and we are in December. Meanwhile back in Denver it's cold and dreary lol.

So here it comes... I hope you're ready for the new adventures in my life. I sure am.

Love Lost

Love lost isn't just between a man and a woman. It can be between two friends or family members who grow apart.

I have lost my "loves" in friends, family and men in the past few years. I can only assume that while it is painful that there is already a plan set for us to do things separately and that if we are meant to be "together" then we will find our ways back to each other. Well probably not the men lol because when I throw one of those away I REALLY throw those away.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss the friends that I have grown apart from. No matter how things are now I still remember the good times we had in the past.

Family members are harder to argue and fuss or even grow apart from really. But it does happen and is sad to see someone you love and not have the connection you had with them before.

I hope that one day my "lost loves" and I reconnect and we find the joy in each others company again.

The Move

Well I am here! Well I have been here for a month now. It was a quick move and I was lucky to have a friend drive with me else it would have taken a lot longer probably!

We loaded up my SUV and hit the road. The main things I had to pack in my SUV you might ask? Well that would be ALL of my shoes and clothes and my craft stuff and seeing machine. I would be heartbroken if I lost of didn't have those things.

I was super lucky that I was able to get a job doing something I am good at when I first arrived here. So I have been working hard bringing home the bacon lol and spending time with family and friends catching up on three years of missed moments.

I can't wait to start to get this house in complete order and start adding pieces of me to the mix. I am currently working on a dog bed for the back of my SUV so that my dog doesn't slide around all over the place and has somewhere to lay down after running into muddy ditches lol.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

It's official...

On June 27, 2012 this girl from South Carolina will be packing up her SUV and be making the long journey from Denver, CO to Conway, SC!!! I am super excited to be moving closer to my family and share new adventures with you all in one of my favorite states!

It will be a 2.5 day journey with Lisa who is going to fly out and help me navigate the road home... There will be lots of pictures to share along the way and hopefully there will be a big ball of twine to take a picture with.

This move also means a whole new house to put my personal spin on and new people to craft with. I can't wait to share this new journey with you!!!

I love donuts!!! I love how the melt in your mouth when they have just been made and I especially love when I am able to get them from one of the following and luckily I have recently found a Krispy Kreme about 15/20 miles away and I am more than happy to drive that for donuts *wink*. Wall Art

Thanks to an awesome sale at Michaels and a great coupon to go with it I was able to but 17 tubes of paint, 4 canvas' and a stencil for $12.00. I was so super excited about it because I needed something for my bedroom wall so I stepped up to the plate so to speak and go to work.

I painted a base of gray on all four canvas' and then started to put my stencil on. At first I was just going to use yellow but it needed to be toned down some so I lined up the white after it dried. It turned out so pretty and I love how it looks on my wall. It makes the plain white walls look a little more polished.

So my beautiful friend Morgan is going to have a baby (very soon) and so I wanted to make her something that she loved. So she picked out some fabric and what she wanted me to make her and this is what she picked out.

I hope she loves this is as much as I do...

Hey y'all, so there was a "pin" on Pinterest showing how to not have jars of grease laying around your kitchen counter and so I tried it and I have to say it worked. All I did was get a bowl down and and line it with tin foil before pouring the grease in after a little bit the grease went solid and all I had to do was ball it up and throw it away. No more jars of grease for me...

Do any of you have any nifty kitchen ideas like this you do?

When Is Enough Really Enough?

When do you say enough being nice towards someone you find yourself trying harder and harder to like? When do you say, you know what you were cool the first "10 minutes" we were friends but you're on my nerve and I need you to go away now...

My time is now. I clean out my social media's a lot. I don't follow people who frustrate and/or annoy me. I am very quick to un-follow people who I can no longer respect on any basic level. When you seek out to make me look like a fool then it is time for you to go. I am friends with all types of people but I we have things in common and it more than makes up for what we don't have in common or have differences on. But when I lose that with you it is time for the door to be opened and your parting gift to be handed to you as you leave.

Reasons I will un-follow someone:

You complain CONSTANTLY. There is never a good day and you are always whining.
I have met you in person and find you to lack in moral character.
You seek out to make me look like a fool. If you think you are better than me, that is GREAT but please take your superiority somewhere else and be friends with someone who is obviously more to your level.
You say completely inappropriate things 24/7. Hey, I say things that I shake my head at. But I don't say them 24/7 and I limit when I do and try very hard to stop myself from hitting enter if I know I am going to reallllllly offend someone.
You act as if you are doing people a favor by breathing. I honestly don't think that most people know people like this... However, I do. I have known several and it never ceases to amaze me.
You treat others like dirt. You walk on their feelings and your opinion is always right. In social media your opinion is yours to share and to be thrown out and about. But when you do it in a manner that says you aren't open for a discussion about the issue then why are you even here? Turn off your comments section so that others can't intrude upon your life.

These are just a few reasons. There is no reason for any of these. There is a balance in life. And while I am all about giving someone a chance I am not about the ridiculousness that someone can try and produce in my life. We all want to be happy and it's up to us as individuals to make sure that happens. Have you ever had to un-friend someone? How did it make you feel?

Day 8 .... Window

The "challenge" today was window. So I took a picture of my bedroom window if I was to actually have the window open in the morning. I can tell you that it never happens lol. My window faces East and I would get blinded if I tried to have a relaxing morning in bed w/ the blinding light. However this picture gives me the warm fuzzies even if I was blinded while taking it lol.

Vicky is a member of my family even though it's not thru blood and the girl honestly makes me crazy sometimes and vice versa but that is how it is with bestfriends who are like sisters. This was after my brothers wedding in 2008. Janson (her husband) called us on the way home and asked for something from Lowes. So of course we stopped. Me in my bridesmaid gown and Vicky in her pretty "goin' to church" outfit ... Needless to say we were out of place but it's moments like these that we talk about now.
