Basically, a p*ssy ruiner is a man [or woman] that takes a woman to such extreme levels of freakiness and Earth-shattering, squirtastic orgasms, that any man who comes after just can’t measure up – leaving her p*ssy forever ruined [until she runs into that person again]. Well, the reality about the Nani-Ruiner is that there is a female equivalent: The Spoiler.

But here’s the crazy thing about The Spoiler: It doesn’t have as MUCH to do with sex as it has to do with the ENTIRETY of the relationship. The Spoiler is a woman who does the MOST for a man without getting or even expecting to receive the MOST from him. This is a woman who will give a dude full-blown wifey treatment, while he treats her like Diddy treats Kim Porter. She is faithful – even though he doesn’t have to be, attentive to all his needs – even though he doesn’t have to be regarding hers, and fully committed to satisfying all of his physical and emotional desires – even though he doesn’t come close to doing this for her. Why is she every woman’s worst nightmare: Because her actions allow sorry-ass dudes to think that their interactions are indicative of a normal relationship.

See, The Spoiler makes half-ass-effort-giving men EXPECT to receive KING treatment while not simultaneously treating his woman like a QUEEN and that becomes his concept of normative behaviour in a relationship. And after having The Spoiler as an ex, when the dude meets a woman with sense who believes in fair and equitable treatment between both parties, he will STRUGGLE to act right, because at the end of the day he believes SHE is being a HARD-ASS when she is just acting with common sense.

Dudes who have dated Spoilers in the past, will expect things like being pampered ALL the time, even when his ass was home all day not doing a DAMN thing. He will expect a half-hour blow job right as she walks through the door after she worked a 10 hour shift like THAT’S not an excessive and wild request. They will even bust on your work clothes and expect YOU to go wash it, dry it and iron it right after.

Can a man who has been with a Spoiler change into a better spouse? That, I’m not sure of. But I know TRYING to change him is the easiest way to lose your damn mind. I will say this though: Life would be a LOT easier for ALL parties if Spoilers realized their true worth from the start and simply ceased to exist. That way, a lot of men would stop losing GOOD women because they were too damn spoiled by an accommodating-ass ex.

A couple weeks ago I was watching the Heat/Knicks game on TV and saw some ol’ bullish*t that truly alarmed me: This nigga Amare Stoudemire picked up a Slam magazine from 1996 and decided he was gonna rock some corny-ass braids in public like that sh*t is still hot in the streets. I don’t give a DAMN what reason he’s wearing them for, he looks CORNY as hell as a grown-ass man with short ass plats like a skinny-jean wearing, Junior High student in Atlanta. I guess I really haven’t been paying the playoffs enough attention, but seeing it that day made me ask one question: “Where the HELL is his girl?!”

Now I don’t know if he’s still dating/smashing/or lusting after Ciara, but whoever the woman is in his life has to HELP keep this negro stay on point. When I made this statement, a young woman nearby said “oh please! Why is it HER responsibility to keep him on point?” To which I replied “Because 90% of people in the world need a style-coach to keep them on point [that number grows to 98% of people if you only look at those in relationships] and in the context of a relationship, women not only DEMAND that their opinion is the most important but also demand it is the SOLE voice of analyzing his level of attraction.” The poor woman looked back at me like I asked her to decipher The Da Vinci code, and it was at that moment I realized this was something better left to blogging, than explaining to a random person.

A man’s sense of style is a HUGE contributing factor to a woman’s attraction in that man. When a woman meets a man, most are just as interested in the cleanliness of his shoes and how his outfit is put together, as they are in his build and handsomeness [or maybe a close second]. But the point is, women will take his style heavily into account – but what MOST women may not realize is that 90% of us have a “fashion coach” in our lives. For some of us it’s our sister, brother, cousin, best friend, close female friend, mother, etc. Now understand, a fashion coach is not someone we have a “Tim Gunn Style & Accessories” meeting with, but it’s basically just someone who tells us “Nigga, is you really gonna leave the house like THAT?” Their role is NOT to coach us on what to wear – it’s to coach us on how to NOT walk around looking FROWSY as hell – and THIS role is automatically transferred onto the girlfriend once dude gets into a relationship.

Not every man can maintain his style sense by himself

So just to repeat, I’m NOT saying it’s a woman’s job to TEACH her man how to dress – but it’s DEFINITELY her job to save him from himself when he makes a fashion faux-paus [ESPECIALLY if you live together]. Whenever I see people leaving the house looking RIDICULOUS, the one thing I always think is “damn, they don’t got no friends or mirrors in their house?!” because as much as people deserve to be put on blast for wearing some ol’ BS out there house, their peoples get MORE blame for letting them leave that way. Now you can always say “well, it’s not MY place to tell my grown friend how to not to dress” and in CERTAIN circumstances I am willing to concede that point – but that excuse does NOT work with your man. Just remember, every time that ninja leaves the house, he represents YOU too.

I think we’ve all seen sex scenes in movies where both people are passionately locked together and grinding all over each other, right up to the climax where they BOTH magically BUST at the same time and then roll over fully satisfied and pleased. The idea of mutual nut-busting has been propagated so much in our society, you got dudes out here trying to give women ‘rocket-launch richard’ with the full T-minus 10 countdown so he can cum at the same time as her, which is suppose to equate into AMAZING sex. There’s only ONE problem with this: If he miscounts her proximity to cumming, this dude will end up nutting WAY in advance and that DEFINITELY equals DISAPPOINTING-ASS sex.

The PROBLEM with some dudes is they REALLY think they can successfully complete the selfish streak while simultaneously focusing on pleasing her, without realizing that sometimes she just needs you to be attentive in helping her with her OWN selfish streak.

Our grandparents wanted our parents to achieve higher education and provide themselves with a litany of lucrative career options. Our parents did well for themselves and let us enter the world with the capability to follow our hearts, NOT just working manual labour out of absolute necessity or being an office manager because it’s our unflinching duty – but positively pursue our PASSIONS. Unfortunately, it looks like those days are QUICKLY coming to an end.

Why you ask? Because we are on the verge of a massive impending student debt crisis which is going to SCREW everyone in THIS generation and negatively affect how future generations approach higher education.

When many of us graduated from high school and began our post-secondary schooling, we were presented a choice on what we wanted to take and do for the next 2 to 4 years, and we either avoided declaring as long as possible or switched focuses. We were inundated with the ideal that going to school to get a degree is a FANTASTIC thing, even if it’s getting a degree in a field without any real career opportunities. See, when discovering yourself and your passion is a part of our college experience, it’s more than possible to do that – but is that REALLY feasible in today’s world? Well the truth is, NOT for MANY of us.

Mark Cuban recently called this crisis “The Biggest Economic Problem In America” and he’s RIGHT. The similarities between what’s currently going on with student debt and what we just went through with the housing crisis is alarming. Buyers were lent easy money that they ultimately could not afford with the implied social safety net that in a “worst-case scenario” they could flip or refinance them at a profit.

But then the easy money stopped and flipping and refinancing were no longer options, resulting in the housing market crashing and leaving us with a terrible economic situation we are STILL trying to fight ourselves out of – but look at how much the student debt crisis is similar to this. Students are being lent easy money with the implied social safety net that their education will land them a good job, which in turn will allow them to pay off their debts and live the life they desire – but we KNOW that’s NOT what’s going on right now.

This generation of students have been left in an extremely precarious situation: School costs an arm and a leg [and it rises exponentially every year] yet the unemployment rate is ridiculously high and there are next-to-NO jobs. So what we are doing is giving students MORTGAGE-type student debt and then throwing them into a world where a BA means LITTLE to nothing and the job market is barren and asking them to pay their debt off with the career they don’t have. Cuban accurately points out in his article that outstanding student debt has now outnumbered credit card and auto loan debt.

So here’s the problem we are facing: We may be facing the end of viewing traditional post-secondary schooling as institutions of higher learning and critical social and interpersonal development, and entering into a new phase where it’s just a place of career initiation and NOTHING more. Basically, don’t even THINK about enrolling unless you already know EXACTLY what career you will be doing and EXACTLY what path you will be taking. For some of you, that’s all university and college is to you right now, and for those of you I say “good choice and good luck” but for the rest of you thinking about going back to school or starting school for the first time: If you aren’t 110% SURE about your potential degree it may HURT you more to get the degree you kinda-want, than not getting a degree at all.

For those you who DON’T know, I just got back from Cuba [bag still unpacked as I write this] and I had something funny happen to me while I was on my way there. For once I decided to buy a magazine instead of just listening to music or watching the corny inflight movie like I always do, and as I perused the newsstand, I saw GQ magazine [which I always like to buy to keep my grown-ass man fly-sh*t rocking] and who do I see? My DUDE D’Angelo.

The article talked about D’Angelo making a comeback and trying to (hopefully) get as big as he once was, and I couldn’t help but feel proud and happy as hell for him [and ME]. I’m proud of dude because I will always have a soft spot in my heart for people who fall from grace [HARD AS F*^K] and then eloquently rebound against all odds. Let’s not forget that Mr. How Does It Feel was THIS dude not too long ago:

But the reason I’m happy for me and him as a pair, is because we use to be a HELL of a duo back in the days, and any dude who was in high school in the mid 90′s should know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. Real dudes and D’Angelo had a fail-proof system back in the days: We bring the girl home, we turn his CD [or cassette] on, he does his thing which equals girls panty’s being moist, equating in a great night for all. When D’Angelo came on the scene there was so much power and intensity behind his voice, his beats and his soul, that it poured through the speakers and virtually unsnapped women’s bra’s for us. But can you imagine, on the verge of his triumphant return, he’s actually getting HATE?!

Yes, there are b*tch-ass men out there talking about “this nigga ain’t all THAT!” and it makes me realize the disconnect between generations of R&B music fans. See, this generations R&B singers are focused on two main things: What THEY can do, that her man CAN’T and how much her man is a B*tch. Basically, thanks to Drake, Trey Songz, et al. the main message in the music has created a sharp contrast between helping dudes get nani and bragging about being the link that separates them from getting any from their own girl. These new-age R&B singers ain’t doing niggas out here ANY favours and for that, I really DON’T blame the large male backlash against the music nowadays.

In my generation, and many of the generations that came before, the male R&B singer was CHERISHED amongst men in the community because he was throwing dudes all kinds of Gary-Payton-accurate alley-oops and all we had to do was SLAM it in [so to speak]. And whereas these new singers fail, D’Angelo is a throwback to the era of singer who women loved because of his sex appeal and MEN loved too because of how his musical sex-appeal enriched OUR love lives by getting women hot and heavy.

A couple weeks ago I was having a discussion with a couple of my homegirls, one of whom was going on a date with a dude she had been seeing for a while. Basically, she decided that tonight was gonna be the night that they got it in for the first time and she was stressing about what type of bra and panty combination she should go with, to which her friend replied “Oh girl, who cares?! It ain’t like that ninja gonna really notice a damn thing anyways!” My reply to her reply: “Uh, B*tch – are you crazy?!”

If there’s one thing men don’t receive enough credit for, it’s our ability to be observant of small things women say and do. We may NOT have the 007 & Macgyver-skills that women have in that category, but to label us across the board as a step above troglodytes is ridiculous. Men DO care about women’s lingerie because it says A LOT about her character and intrinsic personality, from her fashion sense, to her hygiene, to her class all the way down to her frugal nature [with her ol' cheap skate ass].

When a man sees a woman in lingerie for the first time, he scans her body FOUR times, before he decides what his next course of action will be. Men can do this EXTREMELY fast, so don’t let the detail of these explanations fool you – this can be done in less than a minute.

FIRST SCAN: HYGIENE

We sniff for strange odours and search for weird stains in the FIRST few seconds your bra and panties come into sight. If we smell something resembling Suge Knight’s athlete foot or see something looking like Anton Jackson’s pickle-juice jar from In Living Color, we are OUT.

SECOND SCAN: FIT

If your draws are skidmark-free, the next thing we look for is how perfectly your shape coincides with your lingerie. If your lingerie is too small and things are popping out everywhere, that speaks VOLUMES about your character and your possible self-esteem issues. NOT sexy. If your lingerie is too BIG, it’s gonna make us wonder how much time and efforts you put into keeping your sh*t tight. If you buy new panties as often as you get the tires rotated on your car, then there is a problem. Also, why buy a bra too sizes too big? You’re just reaching at that point. Ladies, you ever see a man rocking a baggy Magnum condom?! Well, it’s just as corny as THAT.

THIRD SCAN: UNIQUE-NESS

All men expect to see pretty much the same thing when we take off a woman’s clothes. A top, a bottom and a lot of transparent-ass lace. But every now and then a woman will come along and surprise you with a whole HEAP of NEXT-LEVEL type-sh*t like garter belts, once-piece lace get-ups and thigh highs – these women get a MILLION more points in a man’s book than the traditional matching black two-piece.

FOURTH SCAN: QUALITY

This is the quickest scan of them all, but it can make the most difference towards whether or not there’s a repeat performance – hell, whether or not he even sees you as a girlfriend material. There’s something about a woman who always her softest place on Earth be guarded and protected by 3rd-rate clothing that is a REAL turn off. I could go on a date with a woman wearing jogging pants and a white tee, and I will STILL expect her to have on some baby blue boy shorts or SOMETHING sexy of HIGH quality. No matter how sexy you dress, some old-ass cotton VIRGINIA Secrets or LA SIENEGA panties are just gonna leave a dude thinking “the f*^k?!”

Now don’t get me wrong, it takes A LOT for a woman’s lingerie to be SO off that a man would NOT go through with getting it in, but ladies, don’t think what y’all wear to bed means NOTHING. It means a LOT more than you probably give it credit for.

Earlier tonight I got into a REALLY heated debate with one of my good friends that left a sour taste in my mouth – for about 23 minutes, and then I kept it moving. If I was to see him again today or next week or net month, we would continue being friends like that conversation never happened. why? Because I make SURE to not have SUCKER-ASS friends around me at ANY time. In fact, most people seem to believe that I have a MILLION friends and I’m “Mr. Super-Social” because I do events, parties and like to talk to different people, but the truth is I only have a FEW close friends, because I realize how much a FROWSY friend can SUCK the joy out of a day with the greatest of ease.

A SUCKER-ASS FRIEND is a person who constantly uses you to dish ALL the weight of their DRAMA, PAIN and ANGER on, not realizing how powerful the transference of their negativity truly is. Like for example: You ever have a friend who ALWAYS tells you a story about some ol’ BS they are going through, and at the end of the tale you ended up feeling drained and emotionally invested? That’s the problem with absorbing TOO much of your SUCKER-ASS friends BS – it starts to become YOUR BS by proxy.

Now understand, I’m NOT saying there’s anything wrong with having friends who confide in you and tell you the grimy details of terrible sh*t they are going through – I mean, hell, what are friends FOR? But understand that this commentary is aimed DIRECTLY at the friends you have in your life who exist ONLY to GIVE you the sordid details of their personal life, GIVE you the dutty descriptions of their drama and GIVE you the frowsy minutia of their frowsy lives – but won’t take a DAMN THING. They GIVE you all the BS you can handle, but the second you turn around and try to unload some stuff off of your chest, they quickly brush it to the side and continue to inundate you with their mess. That’s a SUCKER-ASS friend, because they are SUCKING the life, happiness and joy out of you and not even giving you the opportunity to release your own.

And that’s why a LOT of us are walking around so damn miserable. When you are surrounded by loving, caring and intelligent friends who you can have a reciprocal-bullsh*t-exchange relationship with, you will always feel ten times more sane because for all your consoling and validating, you have someone who will do the EXACT same things for you.

And GOD FORBID you get into a dispute with a SUCKER-ASS friend because they will make DAMN-SURE to immerse and overwhelm you with THEIR feelings on how out-of-pocket you been acting, but won’t try to hear a DAMN thing you try to tell them [for some reason, SUCKER-ASS friends are almost always conveniently hearing impaired]. That combination of wilful ignorance and annoyance is enough to drive you insane – and leave your ass is a constantly frowsy mood.

Seeing as we are STILL in spring, PLEASE don’t think that spring cleaning has to solely relate to the maintenance of your homes – it can involve removing FROWSY people from your life too.

For those of you who DON’T know the people in the picture above, that is Bob Marley’s son Rohan and his fiancé, Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana. Also, for those who don’t know, Rohan Marley is also the father of Lauryn Hill’s 5 children and, allegedly, the dude who turned her ass crazy. Since they first met in ’96, on MANY occasions Lauryn Hill has pointedly referred to this dude as her husband [which I SWORE he was], but in fact was just her boyfriend and father of her kids [the last being born in 2008]. But with ALL of that history, Rohan has finally decided to settle down with the woman he TRULY loves – which is NOT L-Boogie – and if she is VEX about that, she has nobody to blame but HERSELF.

As I’ve perused the many comments in the blogosphere on this topic, I find it so hilarious that so many people are RIDICULOUSLY off-base on this very typical, and simple situation. Understandably, the majority of us connected to this pop culture society WANT to rally behind Lauryn because [through her music] we have a greater connection to her than Rohan, but having her back has led to people DISSING THE SH*T out of Rohan because he refused to put a ring on the woman who loved him, supported him, and provided him with 5 beautiful kids all over a 15 year span – yet is willing to put a ring on a chick he’s only been dating since October, 2011. I can’t tell you WHY he never felt it worthy to put a ring on Lauryn, but I can tell you why they were together for so long without the ring: Because SHE accepted it.

There are NO consolation prizes in a relationship. There is no ribbon for Mrs. or Mr. Congeniality. Whatever you WANT from the relationship is what you need to DECLARE at some point, as opposed to just being happy and “going with the flow” hoping things will eventually change one day and you’ll get your way. Lauryn wanted to be married to this man, he did NOT want to be married to her [hence the fact it never occurred] and her method of dealing with this disconnect was to allow him full access to her heart, mind, soul and vagina for a decade and a half. She mental, emotionally, spiritually and physically acquiesced to his lack of commitment and for that, I don’t feel sorry for her ass AT ALL.

She was not entered into a dowery or forced into a dual-cohabitance with this man against her will. Hell, in 96, sexy-ass L-Boogie could have gotten ANY damn man she wanted to.

She was beautiful, intelligent, sexy, classy, rugged, talented, sophisticated, street-smart, edgy, self-concious, socially aware and had dreads nuff dreads wish they could grab a firm hold of when getting it in with her. I mean, how many dudes could resist a woman that could go to a hip-hop festival and out-rap 98% of the men there, and then go to a fashion week show and look more beautiful in the clothes coming down the runway than 98% of the women in there. But alas, she CHOSE Rohan – and then subsequently CHOSE to stay in the relationship with him, that never was what she TRULY wanted.

Ladies & Gentlemen, it’s this simple: In a relationship you don’t get what you GIVE, you get what you ACCEPT. As much as she GAVE husband treatment, she never RECEIVED they wifey treatment she so desired, because she never made that an unflinching and unapologetic REQUIREMENT. So if you want to go ahead and demonize Rohan go right ahead, but ponder this, if HE got what HE wanted out of the relationship with Lauryn [her doing the most WITHOUT a ring], then WHY isn’t he getting that out of Isabeli now? Maybe – just maybe – she let him know HER non-negotiables and gave HIM a choice: Accept it or BOUNCE.

Celtics v 76ers

This series never really caused me to have a sense of urgency in wanting to watch, but I have because I love basketball so much. Honestly I have the Celtics winning in 6 games . The 76ers were able to win a game in Boston, but for some reason the Celtics seem to think that the 76ers will lay down and lose. They played with no sense of urgency until the end of the game, but it was too little too late. With Avery injured I expect Ray to slide back into the starting position, too bad because Avery has been great for the Celtics.

Lakers v Thunder

I’m a Kobe fan, but Ron Artest/Metta World Peace makes it hard for me to even think about the Lakers. Spurs v Clippers

Honestly while the Grizzlies after game one didn’t deserve to win that series neither did the Clippers, but one team had to advance and it was them. I don’t know the true nature of the health of Blake and CP3, but it doesn’t matter at this point. Expect lots of flopping on both sides, I swear CP3 and Blake didn’t flop and whine as much until this season.When you step on the court you are considered good enough to be out there playing, so no excuses for the Clippers losing in 5 games.

Heat v Pacers

With Bosh out indefinitely the Heat will still win this series and Bosh will be back in either the next round or at least in time for the finals. Let’s be real Stern won’t let the Heat not make it to the finals. While this game is entertainment for us, it is a business for them so never confuse that fact. The Heat are the better team which isn’t saying much because their bench is trash, but Lebron and Wade are so good that their production is equivalent to 4 or 5 average players. The Pacers are good, but they need to be great and they aren’t. Danny Granger is a good player, but he isn’t a top 10 player and if he is their best player then I feel for them. They just aren’t good enough to beat the Heat. Heat will win the series in 5…and you’re welcome.

Side-note:

- Should the Grizzlies trade Rudy Gay? I feel they should shop him around, his game doesn’t fit their style of basketball that makes the Grizzlies a successful team.

- Congrats to LeBron winning his 3rd MVP award (I wanted KD to win) but LeBron was very deserving of the award so no biggie with him winning. Who the heck gave Joe Johnson 1 vote in the MVP race, seriously? That has to be a joke just like the Hawks, did I say that?

- Kyrie Irving winning the ROY award was fitting, especially considering how bad the Cavs are. I watched them live and witnessed how good this young player is and he can only get better.

- The Nuggets, if they can stay healthy next season, will be a problem. Javale McGee needs to spend the summer with Hakeem Olajuwon to work on his post game, because he has talent despite his lack of basketball IQ. Maybe he could gain his mom’s game face also, but seriously if he improves along with the team staying healthy plus Ty Lawson beasting they will a problem.

- The Hawks need to break this team up and honestly keep Joe because you don’t have a choice contract wise along with Al and Jeff, but everyone else should be on the trading block especially Marvin (bordline bum status). Good luck this offseason Hawks!

- Melo was way too calm with mediocrity and honestly things won’t get better for the Knicks. Their cap room ceases to exist and with the heavy contracts of Melo, Tyson adn mainly Amare they won’t be able to afford to bring in anyone else. Steve Nash would be great for the 2-3 season he has left, because we know Amare got that big contract thanks to Nash. Melo had his best season and made it out the first round with a great pg, so they need to look into that. 30 points on 31 shots isn’t going to cut it, that is ridiculous honestly. 30 points on that many shots isn’t efficient at all and takes away from other players productivity. Also please don’t bring back JR “I jack up bad shots but I don’t care” Smith, don’t do it! Jeremy Lin won’t be the answer, now whether he should’ve have played is questionable but understood since he is in need of another big contract. The Knicks need a total make over, seriously. RIP to Baron Davis’ career, he knee was shredded to pieces making me think there is some curse on the team itself. It was nice while it lasted.
