How is August going so far?

I’m parting my hair on the other side.

Have you heard about this? For years and years and years, I’ve been parting my hair on the left. But my hairdresser just told me I need to switch sides. She told me that if you leave your hair parted on one side for too long, you can have breakage and stress on the hair.

Yikes.

I don’t need my hair stressed out.

So I switched and started parting it on the right.

It’s awkward and amazing all at the same time. It adds so much more bounce and height to the hair because it’s not used to going that way, but it’s hard to train, so I’ve been wearing a barette around.

Today I wanted to share some brand new products (brand new to me, at least), but they all have something in common. They are problem solvers that are truly working for me.

1. Fabric Mod Podge

Have you heard of this before?

I’m working on some pillow projects that I’m decopaging fabric onto fabric.

Yes.

It’s a thing.

Think Christmas pillows, fall pillows, and all the fabric projects you’ve been wanting to try, but you didn’t want to sew.

You can decoupage fabric, and this is what you need for a project like this.

2. These make-up remover swabs

Have you ever seen these before?

I’m always messing up on my eyeliner, and I try and use a cotton swab, but it smears the make-up.

And then I found these. You crack them right there at the blue line, and it fills the other tip with make-up remover, which makes it so much easier to touch-up make-up.

3. Blue and white ceramic pumpkins

Look at these blue and white ceramic pumpkins I found.

They came in, and THEY ARE THE CUTEST. I just ordered them in hot pink, too.

4. Electric scissors

I’ve been wanting to try electric scissors for a while now.

And these are amazing.

If you cut any fabric, these will reduce your cutting time by half and save your hands.

They also function as a box cutter, too.

5. Simmer Pot Potpourri

This is officially my new obsession.

I’m going to do an entire post on these—but I’ve been making simmer pots with candle warmers.

Have you tried this before? If not, you are MISSING OUT. You can make about 10 simmer pots (enough for fall) with one of these sets of ingredients.

I was looking for new hand towels and I took a chance on these.

They are actually the Amazon brand, and they are so affordable.

The towels are so soft and come in a set of 8.

I love that there’s no embroidered band, so the towels just have an embroidered border, which I think makes them look higher-end.

8. This travel charger organizer

I got this for my husband for Christmas.

We have so many different chargers for so many different things. This organizer has different comparments and zips up to keep everything in place.

9. These stain wipes

I’ve ordered these several times and I’m so happy I found them.

They are miracle workers and perfect for stains on the go (I like them better than Tide Pens).

You just rip open the packet and apply to the stain.

This smells AMAZING. I just add a little bit when mopping and it makes the bathroom smell amazing.

It comes in tons of different scents, but I ordered it in cinnamon and apple.

It’s the perfect scent for fall.

11. This two-piece set

I saved this for last because it’s the coziest.

It’s the perfect set to transition to fall and comes in several different colors.

It runs true to size, and it’s made of a heathered knit that’s stretchable and cozy.
