I and wptm are not dead. I just start a new intership at Apple in Cupertino, so WPTM got some delay.

But this news is to show you that I’m still believe in the futur of this plugin.

By the way, I’m not going to do a WP MU version because the next version of WP ( 3.0 ), is going to merge the 2 systems.

I just update my wordreference command. It is now using the Ubiquity standard. It also try to find the default translation : from the language of the page ( in the html tag) to your default language.

I also work on a track flight command, a command to track parcel send by UPS, FedEx, … with their tracking number. Imagine, you just select the number, and write the command track this, and that’s it.

It also be cool to have a command to get the traffic status of an area, or direction between to point.

I’m also thinking about a command which lunch every Application on a computer … like enseo did.

I just wrote a Ubiquity command for it.

The command allow you to search an expression in the tutos, the forum or in the news of the website.

Write « sdz » or « siteduzero » to lunch the command, add your expression and then the target.

It is a french command ( for a french website).

Why official ? Well I contacted Mike Kellogg, the administrator of th site to discuss about that tools. He is okay for that, so I can now tell about it !

I put online the version 0.61 of my Firefox plugin : Wemov.

This plugin insert a big virtual keyboard in Firefox and a tool to easily display pictures.

It is design to use a Nintendo WiiMote instead of a mouse.

This version was made on Windows, in june with my school team. So I’m not sur it is stable or working.

Finally we got our wave with the invitation. I have 8 invitations. The domain change, it is no more under sandbox.

To do that you need to have access to Google Wave.

First install the plugin for Wordpress wavr. You can got it here.

Install it ( upload, activate).

This plugin need a wave ID to work. Well how we get that ?

First go in your google Wave.

Look at the top menu menu.

You see the menu Debug ? Here you can find a lot of options for your wave. A lot of them are obscur for me. But See the « Get Current Wave ID » Item ?

Click on it ! Yeah !

Now go in Wordpress. Create a New post. Put a title, You can write some text. To start the wave write

[toto id="XXXXXX"]

Replace toto by wave. I didn’t write wave to not start a wave .
The quote  »  » around the id code are optional.

And that’s it. You can do every thing in Google Wave know.

You can also take a look in the plugin option to configure some visual options.

Well, for the moment nobody will able to see and answer. But it is fun ! Me I wait for my invitation !

I will not adding new function inside it. I now work on a new plugin. This plugin will help WordPress administrator to manage large database of gmaps marker in a WordPress blog.

Ok, so imagine that you have a blog and you need to mark on a map some interesting point. You can do it manually. It is long, hard to support, and not very efficient. More over it is a static presentation.
For example, on my other website energies2demain.com (fr) I tried to list all the dam in the world. I know, there is a lot of them.
So first I make a static list, with a page, separate in different country, than static link to Google map. I took me forever to add a single dam. And for the visitor isn’t very « user friendly ».

So I start to imagine a system to manage the marker. In the administration panel, the administrator will have different menu : item to manage marker, visualisation to manage how the marker are classified ( as a result how the user can access to them) and item type.

In item type you define your own kind of item. A default item as just coordinate. If I use my example of the dam, I can the power, the size, …
So then when I’m going to add a new item, i will have to write the power, the size of the dam.

The visualisation are an other part. It is like a menu. You create root category for example Dam type or Country, and add subcategory like France, Germany, Japan. You will able to add as many subcategories that you want.

For each item type, it will be possible to define several visualisation.

So when the user will go to the page of the visualisation, He will first select if he wants to see all the dam in Germany or all the arch-gravity dam. The google map is going to refresh to display all the marker that reflect the choice.

Some other features are planned. Please let me know what do you think of this idea.
