A new study shows that Earth's ability to absorb carbon dioxide from all sources, including man, has remained unchanged for 160 years. As it turns out, there may be no carbon to offset. A major tenet of the global warming religion, straight from the Book of Gore, has been that the ability of the earth to handle increasing CO2 emissions is finite and that once the "tipping point" is reached, the earth will warm uncontrollably. Well, another climate domino has fallen — the myth that man-made CO2 is leading to climate catastrophe.

Contrary to what you might have heard on talk radio or TV, it's not quite that simple. What's true is that the Tax Policy Center, a well-regarded think tank, calculated that 47% of Americans would owe no federal income taxes for 2009, up from the usual 38% who typically owe no income tax on April 15. Most still pay Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes, sales taxes and property taxes (if they own any property).

The Obama administration states it has created or saved 640,000 jobs based on data of those who received loans or grants through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This data is obviously overstated by thousands of jobs. The unemployment rate is 10.8% despite a $787 billion economic stimulus package pushed through Congress in February. The Associated Press review found counts as high as ten times the actual number of jobs created due to stimulus money.

There is a lot of propaganda about this guy, much of it untrue, but the reason it’s out there is because he scares people. People shouldn’t be scared because he’s black (he’s half) or Muslim (he’s not). The New Yorker cartoon is only scary because people don’t get the joke.
