Construction Material Testing Technician Level II - MS Gulf coast - Pascagoula Mobile, MS

DESCRIPTION Thompson Engineering has an immediate need for a PT Construction Material Testing Technician Level II for the Pascagoula, MS. Work hours will fluctuate based on workload. DUTIES Responsibilities will include utilizing a 40 lb gauge to run tests on construction materials, obtain concrete samples from vehicles, make concrete test cylinders and run tests on the samples, as well as deliver samples to the lab. Duties will also include observing construction crews performing related activities, recording the crew performance data, and interacting with clients and contractors. QUALIFICATIONS Min. Req. HS degree or equiv and 2 yrs of CMT exp. to the job specifications listed above and ACI certification. Asphalt and Radiation Safety certifications are preferred.

DESCRIPTION Preparation of engineering drawings utilizing the current version of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation in use by Thompson Engineering. The CAD Technician must represent the Company with quality and timely deliverables in concert with knowledge and understanding of the project objectives. Responsibilites shall include but not be limited to: preparing engineering designs and specifications using good engineering practices with limited supervision; representing Thompson Engineering as an engineering advisor/consultant; researching/designing to achieve practical solutions to particular problems; performing field data collection using various methods, devices, and measurements; working with engineers/contractors/subcontractors as requested by the project managers, engineers, etc.; and drafting /writing reports/documents for internal/external clients.
