You do not need to know how it will all work out, you just need to keep moving forward "as though" it will.

Even if you don't know how things are going to work out next Tuesday, there's something that you CAN do, TODAY. Do what you can do today. Make that phone call. Prepare for the success you expect to enjoy. If you intend to sell a widget, have you got the widget in hand, ready to sell? If you intend to make a business deal, do you know what you're bringing to the table, and what you expect to receive in return? Is it vague, or is it in writing?

Do what you can do TODAY to prepare for the success. There will ALWAYS be something that pops into your mind of something you CAN do... stop ignoring it! Get up and do what the thought says to do. That's called learning to recognize and follow your intuition.

Whether you want to call it your gut instinct, inspiration, intuition, or the inner voice, it's time to start paying attention to it and trusting that it's leading you to where you decided to go when you set the goal.

If you're not getting any nudges one way or the other, then it's time to set a goal! No more vague wishings... I'm talking about something you absolutely intend to accomplish, no matter how long it takes. What is it in life that you are THAT committed to?

You can expect the nudgings to come once you've made the decision of what, specifically, you intend to accomplish.

Remember, it is always "Goal first, Way Second," not the other way around. I remember thinking there were snakes under my bed, or monsters in the closet. Even though there wasn't any such thing hiding in my room, the fear was as real as if my life was truly in danger.

I'd lay there with the covers bundled around my neck, after having seen an episode of "Cliff Hangers" back in the 1970's - something about vampires, and it took a long time before I could go to bed without worrying about something swooping in to suck my blood.

Well, my daughter is ten, and something has planted the idea in her mind that someone is going to break in and kill her after bedtime. What a horrible thought! I have tried everything I can think of to help her go to bed in peace. We've used music, prayer, EFT, reading, and still, bedtime continued to trouble her.

Finally last night we had a breakthrough.

When she began again to express her worries, the more she talked about them, the more emotional and worked up she became. I stopped her and said, "Kayli, what are the odds, or the chance, that someone out there really wants to kill you?? I mean really?"

She answered, "Maybe 5%..."

I responded, "Uh, maybe more like half of a half, of a half, of a quarter, of a fraction of a percent!!! What are you doing to people out there that I don't know about, that is SO bad, that they would want to break in and kill... YOU? (Of all people!)"

She quietly said, "I don't know..."

So I went on, "Are you clipping your toenails and putting them in someone's cereal??"

With that, she began to giggle.

"Are you putting Charlie's poop in people's hamburgers?? What are you doing to people that would make them so mad that your life is in danger?? Are you flipping boogers onto someone's windshield or putting eyeballs in their fruit cocktail??"

With each nonsensical scenario, I had her giggling nearly to tears... as well as the other kids in the room. They begged for more and more, and even in the morning, the first thing out of my son's mouth was, "Tell me another one, mom!"

This solution wasn't calculated or intentional. I didn't know it would work so well. I was beside myself and wanted to throw up my hands after trying every psychological tool I was aware of. (So often the solution to our problems shows up after we've exhausted all known possible solutions!)

Anyway, apparently attaching another emotion like laughter to something fearful can flip a switch.

Even as an adult, I've noticed that when I feel fear about something, if I can turn it into something I can laugh about, the mood changes, I relax, I stop visualizing the worst-case scenario, and I can have peace.

In truth, anything that helps us think peacefully in spite of a tense situation is going to be beneficial. That's because when our hearts and minds are at peace, we are subconsciously receptive to unseen guidance that leads us to make good choices. On the other hand, when we remain in, and operate out of fear, we cut ourselves off from some of the good and wonderful experiences that life has to offer.

Fear is deception. Think on hopeful things; imagine best-case scenarios, and you'll naturally draw yourself toward results that more closely reflect them. If you find that hard to do, learn to laugh at your fears, and they just might dissipate for good.

My Secret Dream (you might not believe it)

More than two decades ago I spotted a jackrabbit, and it led me to do quite a few crazy things. I saw it; and it caused me to spend grocery money on odd items (like more than a hundred seminars and countless success programs). It caused me to stay up late and go for days without stopping for a decent meal. Then, after seven years of chasing it, it was mine.

What do you suppose could cause me to behave this way? A mansion? A Mercedez? A giant diamond ring?

Believe it or not, it was simply the privilege of having time to put my house in order. Housekeeping. The joy of homemaking. Mothering. Wifering. Keeping my family running smoothly without concerns about money. That's what drove me.

Ever since I was a little girl, I looked forward to all of it. But nothing of the picture I painted in my mind had anything to do with bills piling up. So when my husband and I became parents and found ourselves consumed with worry over money issues, I knew that even though I had achieved the wife and mother part, I hadn't completely achieved my dream until I could let go of money concerns and clean my house and read to my kids and take life at a pace that was peaceful. Even when my husband's work paid really well, I couldn't stop worrying about long-term financial security.

So like I said, after seven years of chasing that rabbit, the ability to slow down and put my house in order was mine. But I didn't stop to enjoy it like I thought I would have... because the minute I caught that rabbit, my heart changed.

Suddenly I felt consumed with passion for helping others experience the breakthrough we had enjoyed. So the orderly home once again had to wait. I saw images of other mothers who were seeking the same thing as I had wanted all those years, and I saw myself in a unique position to bring what we had learned to people of all backgrounds in a new and unique way.

Essentially, I spotted another rabbit.

This new rabbit caused me to to spend money on odd items (like more than $100,000 in more advanced seminars and business development programs). It caused me to stay up late and go for days without stopping for a decent meal. It made me bend over a computer for thousands of hours to tearfully learn web development and write books and articles. It caused me to talk to people who intimidated me and cancel social commitments that weren't going to help me obtain it. It caused me to lose sleep, and even after a long days of chasing it, it still made me lay awake at night.

I learned once again that on the way to accomplishing anything good of significance, it is common for things to first get messier. As Price Pritchett described in his book You2 (You Squared), in the middle of a life-saving surgery it would appear that there has been a murder in the room.

So it was with me as I worked to create something that would help me help others have financial peace of mind. Trevan was more free to help me raise all these kids, and after so many years of laundry piling up while I worked at the computer, and after so many years of spills waiting for days to be cleaned up, and living in rooms where you couldn't even see the floor, you have no idea how much joy I get out of slowing down, enjoying my kids, and cleaning my house!

It is living the dream to spend an hour or two at bedtime reading with my kids. It's living the dream to stay caught up on laundry. It is a PRIVELEDGE to vacuum the floor, or to discuss with my fifteen year-old his French Revolution assignment. It's a JOY to organize the pantry, and go through the kids' drawers to pull out the articles of clothing that don't fit anymore. It's a dream come true to fold the towels and put them on the shelf before they're needed again! I LOVE to load the dishwasher and see the counters wiped clean!

On occasion we've had hired help. It's nice to have a clean house without lifting a finger. But I've discovered that there's something I get - psychic income of sorts - when I'm the one personally responsible for the home being orderly. Maybe it's because I went for so long not having time to do it even when I wanted to.

Maybe I'll do it enough that I'll eventually get it out of my system and hire help again so that my time can be spent on more meaningful contributions. But for now, I'm living my dream and loving it.

So you see, it doesn't matter what your dream is... it's yours to pursue and enjoy and it doesn't have to be anything that impresses anyone else. I'd also like to point out that sometimes one rabbit leads to other rabbits that help you make a greater contribution and bring you greater joy than if you only stopped to enjoy the first one, and no others.

Anyway, even now we're still very busy, and some of the day-to-day responsibilities fall behind (including housekeeping) when we're gathering new rabbits as they come along, but it's interesting to me to remember that the dream of being free to enjoy homemaking was the fuel that was originally responsible for the creation of The Jackrabbit Factor, Hidden Treasures, and everything else we provide at ThoughtsAlive.com.

It's sort of ironic, if you think about it. With that in mind, I can't wait to hear YOUR story when you describe what happens to you as you chase your rabbits, and then what happens after you ultimately catch them. Maybe we should start a new thread on the forums called, "A funny thing happened on the way to my dream..."

One thing is certain: I have had to overcome a LOT of challenges and I've learned a lot of lessons along the way. The most significant lessons learned have been carefully documented and placed in the Family Time & Money Freedom Home Study Course, because Trevan and I vowed that if we ever figured out how to get out of the mess we were in, we'd make it a priority to share what we learned, so that other families wouldn't have to suffer as long as we did.

For example, something important I learned is that the feeling of financial security does not necessarily come from a big pile of money in the bank. Financial security is simply knowing that you are capable of handling whatever comes your way when it comes... and that is something you can have here and now, even before you earn another penny. (I encourage you to just join the 12-week FTMF program so I can really help you learn how it works!)

Having that financial peace of mind then literally prepares you to receive more than you would have received if you had remained in a stressful, worried state of mind. That's just the way it works. Having the right mindset puts you on a thought-frequency to discover solutions to the problems you face. The solution to every problem is only an idea away... and so the money you need in any given moment is closer than most people ever imagine. It all begins with gaining a heightened awareness of the laws of success as introduced in the Jackrabbit Factor Ecourse.

So your dream might not be to clean your own house and read to your kids at night without the nagging thought that you should be doing something to produce income. But whatever it may be, it is possible - or you wouldn't have conceived it in the first place. Do the nutsy things that it leads you to do.

It will pay off... when the time is right, it will pay off... by law it must! And then don't be suprised if you can't help but feel driven to bring others along with you. It's a great adventure and well worth the effort.

Prosperity Perspective: Who Pushed the Apple?

Two brothers sit beneath a tree after a long journey. One is a quantum physicist, the other a theologian. They are both hungry, and soon the wind blows and the tree sheds an armful of fruit.

The physicist says, "How remarkable it is that my thoughts can cause the wind to blow so that the tree would drop these apples."

The theologian says, "How wonderful it is that God heard my prayer and blessed us with these apples!"

The scientist replies, "Well, the apples dropped because of natural law."

The theologian responds, "Ah, but the apples dropped when they did because God heard and answered my prayer."

After bantering back and forth for quite some time, the two brothers parted ways and were brothers no more... and the Great Unseen Force of the Universe, (with all the names it bears) was sad... and preserved the rest of the apples on the tree for creatures bearing softer, purer hearts.

The Law of Attraction is an amazing phenomenon, and it has stirred up quite a controversy between people who want to know how it works in connection with their belief in God, and those who prefer to explore how it works from completely secular sources.

Let me just level the playing field here, so that brothers don't have to part:

Truth Fits. Period.

If something is true, it will not contradict something else that is true. In the case of the falling apples, both explanations fit the experience, so each man may adhere to his own belief without necessarily squelching the other. Nor is either one of them required to adopt the other man's point of view.

They both have apples and should both be grateful. End of argument.

It reminds me of a story I heard of several blind men who were brought to an elephant, having had no previous experience with one. They each described the elephant, and each had something very different to say. One man after reaching forward and feeling the animal's side said, "An elephant is like a wall." Another man holding the elephant's leg said, "No, this is not like a wall at all, an elephant is like a pillar!" Another blind man who had grasped its tail exclaimed, "No, an elephant is like a rope!" One holding a tusk described it as a spear and the one holding its nose described it as a tree branch.

The men continued in a heated argument, each one absolutely certain that he was right and the others had to be wrong, until a wise man was able to explain that they were all right because the elephant did, in fact, have all of the features described.

Life is like the elephant. There are scientific ways to look at life and there are spiritual ways to look at the same life. We understand life best when we consider ALL possible aspects and see how they can fit together.

I've had readers tell me how grateful they are that they have found a place to learn about the law of attraction from a perspective that includes God. Other readers wish I'd do it more, while some wish I'd do it less.

With that in mind, imagine if we were on a field trip to the zoo and the elephant keeper was going to tell us about the elephant. Should we be offended if he neglects to call our attention to the abdomen? Should be be bent out of shape if he talks too much of its head and nose? If he says something about the insides of the elephant, (parts we can't immediately see or prove) should we reject his whole presentation simply because he included something that required some faith to accept?

No, I think we'd just enjoy the presentation and graciously take the parts that provided answers to our own individual questions, leaving the rest without fuss or fanfare.

You'll find people who teach the law of attraction in spiritual terms, and you'll find others who describe it in more scientific terms. Both offer valuable insight that can help all of us improve the quality of our lives.

If religious or spiritual terms offend you, then simply substitute them with terms that fit your frame of reference. Call it Source Energy or Power or the Universe... or whatever keeps you from rejecting good information.

If the lack of spiritual or religious terms makes you nervous, then when you read material from those who use other terms, simply make appropriate substitutions as YOU go along and continue studying material that helps YOU gather all useful information about how life works.

If you think about it, we're all in this together, trying to build a happy life for our families, and we can really learn from one another by building on common ground. In this study of the law of attraction, there is plenty of common ground to build upon.

Personally, I don't see any contradiction. Together, both explanations have helped me understand life better. I believe God created the Universe and uses natural laws to deliver the goods.

It would be absurd to think that when an apple breaks from a tree, God needs to rush over and push it down... fortunately, the law of gravity is already in place.

So I thank God for the goods. Others may thank the laws. In my opinion, both God and natural laws played a part, so I have no argument with the scientist.

When we live in harmony with the law of attraction, the "goods" of His creation will naturally find their way to us. By law they will, and we can depend on it. God understands all of the laws perfectly, and provides counsel in holy writings that supports the more secular descriptions of the phenomenon. I also believe he inspires scientists to discover truth about his creation to help us all improve our quality of life. Again, truth fits.

Quantum physics (and the commentaries in layman's terms) have helped me understand how my thoughts can literally shape my circumstances. Theology has helped me understand who I am and why I'm here on this planet in the first place, and has kept me grounded so that I can use what I've learned as wisely as possible.

The purpose of my business is to help families achieve prosperity through teaching the 7 Laws and how they work... laws that work whether or not a person believes they exist, and whether or not they believe in God.

Gravity pulls an apple to the ground whether or not you believe in the law, and whether or not you believe that a God created it.

When we understand and consciously live in harmony with the laws to build wealth, the prosperity comes just as dependably as the apple falling to the ground when it breaks from the tree.

That the results are dependable does not void the existence of God, nor does giving Him thanks for the resulting prosperity nullify the existence of the laws that delivered it.

For more on this topic, read Hidden Treasures: Heaven's Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters available in Paperback, Audio CDs, or Ebook. We've decided to give you a sneak peek at one of the threads in hopes it will help you make the decision to join us there! We want you to experience the progress that other graduates have experienced, and if this can add to your motivation, then that's what I'm copying it here for:

"Thanks for asking about my final, Tammy. The experience was, of course, amazing, humbling, inspiring, and I think at times unbelievable.

"I struggled with my goal and after submitting it had some back and forth with Leslie in which she sensed my hesitation (she's so intuitive) with my goal because I thought it was.....how do I put this....a pipe dream. :) But in the spirit of Jackrabbit, and being believing, I wrote it up. Well we decided that maybe I should go for a goal I thought would be more within MY power and not the Powers That Be, because lets face it. His time line is always an unknown. So I wrote up a second goal and did not completely disregard the first. I started concentrating on both with more emphasis on the second.

"The first goal was to sell my spec. house, find a buyer for my current house, and find a building lot for my family that was EXACTLY what we were looking for (the list is long). My second goal was to construct the first 15 pages of my web site by a certain date. As you can see two totally different goals. I started working on my web site quite diligently and a funny thing happened; the first goal started falling into place, only better than I could have imagined.

"We miraculously found a building lot that we had never seen before in a subdivision we have driven through COUNTLESS times. It even has trees and some other things we thought were an impossibility. WOW! it was not even for sale. My husband just knocked on the owner's door and started wheeling and dealing. It was amazing. I still have not sold my spec, but a truly amazing thing has happened there. Because the house has not sold we had an opportunity to show it to some land developers and investors who LOVED what we did. They then contracted with my husband to design and build as one of three exclusive builders in a new development! Did not see that coming! We were just trying to expose the house to people to get it sold. There was a dollar amount I wanted to make on our spec home that I listed in my goal. Well, sadly it has taken so long to sell it we have whittled away at all that profit in interest payments. BUT, with this new business opportunity we will far surpass that expected profit. And, I think I may have a buyer for my current home.

"Things are happening almost everyday. When I ordered this course the first of November it was simply to learn more and keep my spirits up. I had no idea what I would learn would bring so much.

"Well, I feel like I am tootin my own horn here. Congratulations to all!

"One thing I would like to hear from all of us having success (and maybe we need a new thread) is this: Is anyone else feeling uncomfortable, aside from elation of course, with their new success? Last night I started to panic that we were actually getting what we wanted and were we ready for it. I do get relief from the home study course where Leslie states this is normal, but I would like to hear from others. Don't get me wrong. I feel so grateful and ready, just an unexpected nervousness as well. I probably just need to get to bed earlier :)"

Start your journey today... or if you're already in the course, don't give up until you've attained Honors Graduate status!

Prosperity Ideal: Unifying the Family

Tonight was our weekly family night, an evening set aside to spend time with the kids and improve our family relationships through activities and instruction. However, more often than we'd like, it's actually the only family argument to open and close with prayer (as songwriter Michael Mclean once lamented). Nevertheless, we persist. We trust that the habit alone serves as an adhesive to help our kids feel like they belong to something important as they grow and prepare to face the world on their own.

Tonight was contentious, probably because of me. Honestly, I didn't feel like "playing." I was in an emotional slump and my head ached (a Law of Rhythm thing). But because it has long been established as a weekly tradition, my kids began asking me what we were going to be doing that evening. Trying to brush the topic aside until I could rest my headache away, my answer was simply, "I just don't know yet."

My 12 year-old begged me to take them to the park for dodge ball... a family favorite. My 15 year-old had too much homework so we compromised and played some in the back yard with him first. Then he was back to the books and the rest of us headed off to the park for some more serious battles.

I loosened up, forgot my headache. Eventually I got off the swingset with the baby and began playing dodge ball, too. Holding the baby helped... the family was gentle when tossing it in my direction, and I won at least one of the rounds. There was still the usual sibling-to-sibling bickerings, but I believe everyone had plenty of fun.

Finally it was time to go home. We gathered to the van and Trevan (my husband) realized that the keys had been locked inside. Nathan suggested we call Jacob to drive them over. But our other set of keys had already disappeared months ago and since we never needed the second set, we had never troubled ourselves with finding or replacing it. Besides, Jacob isn't old enough to drive.

Trevan suggested we say a prayer. We huddled together and he asked God to allow the door to somehow be unlocked so that we wouldn't have to walk the mile home. Then he said, "But if not, help us to enjoy the walk."

The front passenger window was cracked about 2 1/2 inches. First we tried to see if any of the kids' arms were skinny enough and long enough to reach the door lock. No good.

In the front window laying in front of a couple books, we spotted a mechanic's wire claw thing (about two feet long, used for grabbing little things that get dropped inside an engine). I asked Trevan where the keys were and he said they were in the passenger cup holder in the center console. I asked if he thought that wire grabber would be long enough to reach them but it looked pretty short compared to how far we'd have to reach.

It was the only remotely possible option at that point, so we got to work trying to obtain that claw. None of us could reach it through the window crack. Kayli suggested we use one of the badminton rackets that we had brought with us. We first tried to use it to pull the lock up (to no avail). Then we tried to use it to bring the claw closer, but there was a big "Jane Eyre" book on the dash and in the way.

The window opening was about 2.5 inches wide at the top, but only about 1.5 inches at the front bottom - the closest opening to the front dash where the claw rested. Trevan pulled the window down to give me an additional 1/2 inch or so, and though I couldn't reach the claw, I realized I could reach the dash mat. So I grabbed it and pulled it toward me until the claw was within reach.

Next we had to use the claw to reach the keys. But no matter who tried, the closest we could get to the cup holder with that claw was at best 4 inches. We were SO CLOSE! How can we get that close, have so much success getting this far only to have our efforts fail now? There had to be a way.

Trevan discovered that if a person could be elevated, their arm could get into that window opening better and reach a little farther. But there wasn't anything to stand on except the wheel, two feet to the right of where we needed to be. Long story short, we got those keys. After quite a few attempts, we found the perfect combination:

After Trevan and then Nathan tried, I took my turn standing on the wheel, leaning 45 degrees onto Trevan to the left. Nathan supported me from behind so I wouldn't fall backwards off of Trevan. Trevan also pulled the window down enough for me to get my forearm in, and then miraculously my elbow passed through. I was able to reach in far enough to use the grabber to get the keys and bring them out. For a moment there I felt as if my arm might break before having the chance to carefully bring it back out, being in all the way in like that, two feet off the ground leaning at that precarious angle.

Gratefully it all worked out. After a round of "high-fives" we paused to give thanks, and tried to help the kids see that everything we needed had been there all along... we just had to ask, and then get to work finding the right combination. Every failure along the way led us to think of the next idea, one after the other until we found the solution. One thing that we did NOT do, was fret and fuss, moan and complain. We've learned that solutions are best (and sometimes ONLY) discovered by a person who is at peace.

I believe all of life's challenges can be approached and conquered in the same way: Ask for what you want, be prepared to accept "no" for an answer, (be at peace here and now) and then get to work finding the way to make the desired results a reality.

The solution WAS there all along, but only became apparent after a series of frustrating attempts. If we had given up at any point along the way, we would not have discovered it. Not until we had exhausted all possibilities would we have finally tightened our shoelaces and started home on foot... but in any case, our family night was a success because we were unified, if only for 20 or 30 minutes, for a common purpose. It felt great! Coming together like that to solve a problem as a family turned out to be ten times more gratifying than the best game of dodgeball could ever be.

Read more about prosperity principles in action at our Forums!

How to Know if You’re Close to The Victory

In previous posts, I've used the comparison of giving birth to a child ... to giving birth to a dream. This analogy helps us comprehend how we could possibly know whether we are close to finally achieving a goal or reaching our dream.

Think about the first struggles you faced after setting a big goal. At first the discomfort, as in labor, is just bad enough to get your attention, but certainly tolerable. Near the end, the pains are (for many) as if you're at the door of death itself.

During that final transition, the surges come so quickly and then last so long that it would seem there is no relief in the middle whatsoever.

When they come that way, fast a furious, back to back, it's nature's way of saying that it's almost over. Each pain is associated with progress, though it often cannot be measured, and sometimes appears fruitless.

So if you have a dream, and things are looking really, really bad, and you're getting hit by one challenge after another with scarcely room to catch your breath in the middle, you are poised for the most glorious success you can imagine if you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Sometimes the relief only shows up at the moment you have come to the absolute end of all you can do. So, you simply cannot allow yourself to give up any sooner. Sometimes it comes when you've cut off all possibility of retreat.

A person who has not experienced this level of commitment could never possibly feel the exhilaration of the victory that corresponds to it. There are no words to describe it, although you may experience a degree of it vicariously through others who've had books or movies made about them, like Rudy Rutteger or Will Stoneman.

To sum up, I love how this poet makes the point:

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;

And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

(Author Unknown)

So now it's your turn. Be the hero in your family. Don't give up on your dream for freedom, and show it by taking yet another step forward.

Prosperity Question: Must there be a struggle at all?

As described in the Phase 2 lessons of The Jackrabbit Factor Ecourse, we live in a Universe governed by natural laws, including the Law of Rhythm. We will have what feel like ups and downs, even when we're on a very focused and determined "rabbit hunt."

The good news is that the discomfort comes in surges. We're given breaks along the way. We have relatively better days in between (and on either side of) the tougher days.

It's like going through labor to bring a child into the world. The labor pains come in surges. The mother is given breaks to have a chance to gather her strength.

Does there need to be a struggle at all? I'm told that some women have learned the art of labor without pain or medication... but I would guess their mental toughness was something that had to be developed, and I don't know how it could have been developed entirely without opportunity to practice during some pain.

The baby will come, with or without the pain. Experienced midwifes however will tell you that the more you fight the pain, the worse it will hurt.

The same thing goes with trying to give birth to a dream. There is work to be done regardless. It hurts less when you don't fight it. Progress happens better when you relax, in spite of hardships and apparent setbacks (which are really only "setbacks" as much as labor pains are considered "setbacks." In reality, each one brings you closer to the goal if you could really see it for what it was.)

One thing is for sure, the joy at the end far surpasses whatever is required along the way. Keep your eye on the prize and remember that NOBODY was ever pregnant forever!

Prosperity Challenge: Is Victory Really Possible?

When challenges come, have you ever doubted whether there really is success to be had on the other side? A continual barrage of setbacks can cause you to question even the possibility of victory.

It was only last month that I myself was beginning to wonder if some of my latest dreams in the making were God's tool just to get me to do what he wanted with the proverbial carrot dangling in front of my face which never gets any closer. In fact, some of my dreams felt like they were more than two long years overdue. All I could do was keep moving my feet in that direction, but I don't know if I had ever been stretched that far. However, instead of teasing me eternally, God let it finally materialize. I'm sobered, and grateful, and I certainly don't take it for granted.

If you're questioning the possibility of victory, know that the success is already there awaiting your arrival, and keep moving in that direction until you reach it. There is no "IF," there's only "WHEN." I know now that it's true on a deeper level than before. I'm a different, and better person for having my own perserverance so severely tested.

I knew the challenges were good, because I had long since learned that with the Law of Attraction, the challenges are actually part of the recipe to the very cake I ordered. But I had begun to wonder if the challenges would ever give way to the victory. Now I know (again) that they eventually do.

Every time I have set a goal of significant magnitude, I have been obliged to face a challenge or two (or three, or a HUNDRED) that had be overcome before I was to finally able to enjoy the victory I sought.

I can say with certainty that the images of our dreams are ours because they are possible, and are waiting for us at the end of our persistence test.

By the grace of God, it comes. One thing I can say for sure though, is that God does not give us the victory if WE stop preparing for it.

Each time, this goal setting process seems to stretch me to my limits, and beyond. Yes, each time. The more I go through the process, however, the more practice I have in enduring it. Every story of success that I share with you has an untold struggle that went with it. No matter how many times I've succeeded, the process repeats itself to some degree.

Having an understanding of the process doesn't take the process away, it simply makes it bearable and helps me keep doing my part. It gives me peace of mind to realize and be consciously aware of the fact that the darkness, uncertainty, and turmoil in the middle is simply the gift, the opportunity to prove myself. It's where I can exercise my faith like a muscle, demonstrate my drive to press on (though it may feel like I'm crawling to the finish line, bleeding and delirious), and hold fast to my expectancy of the WIN on the other side. Knowing how the Law works, I begin to feel differently about the struggle, and seeing it for what it is, I'm better able to be grateful for it, and thus the sooner I'm able to receive.

Maybe you didn't know this is how the Law of Attraction really works.

Your job is to set the goal, see it done, feel the victory ahead of time, take action when opportunities and/or ideas come along (no matter how frightening they may be), and finally, do not neglect one other final ingredient to the recipe:

Perseverance. Your greatest victories will always follow the most intense struggles.

"Then, what is the law of attraction for if I still have to endure challenges?"

The Law of Attraction simply guarantees you will absolutely be provided with everything you need to accomplish the goal . . . and it will all show up just when you need it, at the right and perfect time . . . never any sooner. It promises that if you can conceive it, you can achieve it.

So what will you accomplish next?

Prosperity Tip: How to Survive the Downs

Have you ever met someone whose finances seem to be falling apart and they’re happy anyway? Have you ever wanted to say, “Hey, what on earth do you have to be happy about?? You’re supposed to be miserable and depressed about your finances!”

There are those who are simply in denial, to be sure, and who hope that the problems will go away if they just ignore them. However, there are others who feel happy even when things are going down because they know a secret. They understand the 7 Laws of Success. Let me explain...

These people feel happy during a downturn because they know the ride never goes downhill forever. By law, it always turns upward again at the bottom - just like on a rollercoaster.

They smile now because they're focused on the longer term; and they're already thinking about the joy of the heights that life will take them to next.

Now, while we’re on this “roller coaster theme,” imagine you’ve saved for years to take your family to an exciting theme park on the other side of the country. You’ve pictured the laughter, the fun, the memories you plan to create: the joy of being together, the food, the free time… it’s all so very wonderful!

Now it’s finally time to take that trip. You enjoy a relaxing plane ride, settle in at the hotel, spend the night, and in the morning you have a full day to take in all of the theme park attractions.

After entering the gate, you notice that just inside the entrance there are two roller coaster rides to choose from. The first one is called "Straight-Shot to Success" and goes like this:

You get on, and it pulls the line of cars all the way to the top of a twenty-story tower where it ….

… lets you off so you can climb down the stairs to do it again.

Look at the level of enthusiasm the people in this picture are demonstrating, just before unloading to climb down and repeat the experience!

Actually, that would make for a pretty boring rollercoaster ride. But in life, isn't that what we often think we want: A steady, predictable, safe and easy climb to success? In truth, if that's what we ended up with, we'd be pretty dissatisfied with the whole experience.

So, let's take a look at the second roller coaster ride called "Joy in the Journey," which instead goes something like this:

You get on, and it pulls you to the top of a big hill and then turns you loose into a series of ups and downs, loops and turns. Everyone is terrified and laughing, all at the same time.

Even when the people plummet at break-neck speeds straight toward the ground, they have a smile on their face.

Now, is that twisted, or what? Are they in denial?

No. They are genuinely enjoying themselves, because they know that the terror is temporary, that it is an illusion, and that it will come to an end. They know that in truth, they are in a controlled, safe environment that is simply giving them the appearance of danger. Deep down, they know everything is going to be okay in the long run.

Which rollercoaster ride do you think would have the longest waiting line? "Straight-Shot to Success," or "Joy in the Journey?"

I choose the latter. Here's what helps me endure the scary parts:

Believe it or not, like a rollercoaster ride, Life itself is a safe environment, even with all its dangers. Contrary to appearances, it truly is a safe place to be. From God’s vantage point, the things we fear are nothing to Him, including death itself.

Do you realize that the life you live is precisely the life you would have chosen all along? THIS is the life that brings you the greatest joy: the life with all the ups and aggravating downs. Be grateful for your downs... and as you allow your heart to swell with gratitude, you're putting yourself into the right mindset to receive the best "ups" that God has to offer.

In reality, the ups and downs we experience are provided in order to help us feel. The change from up to down (or down to up) is precisely what makes it possible for us to recognize the difference from one emotion to the other. Without the downs, the ups would be meaningless. The lows help us feel and appreciate the highs.

Bob Proctor says, “Most people tiptoe through life, trying to make it safely to death.” Do you see the irony in that? Instead, we should have courage and press on toward our dreams with full, fearless intention.

Fear not!

As Mark Twain said, "I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened."

You have a choice of what to think about. So think on the expected highs that put a smile on your face, instead of worrying about the imagined train wreck at the bottom of the hill that hasn't even happened yet.

It is only when your heart is at peace that it is prepared to recieve inspired solutions to your problems.

So, if you're headed in a downward direction, be at peace. The tracks are bent and will surely guide your rollercoaster car up to the top again in time. It’s going to be thrilling! And in fact, by the Law of Rhythm, you're already on your

For a few good laughs

We released The Jackrabbit Factor ebook (El Factor Liebre - Spanish version) for FREE today!

Even though the story was translated professionally, I couldn't help myself from trying to create a webpage to deliver it.

The problem is, I don't really know Spanish.

So I found a free online translation tool and did the best I could. Our professional translator had a good laugh and is now working on fixing the mess I made. It will be fixed very soon.

So just for a few good laughs, I thought I'd share some of the quirky translation errors. It's fun translating the so-called Spanish version back into English to see what happened to the original text. Here's one example:

"Brought to you by ThoughtsAlive.com"

Translated to: "Traído a usted cerca ThoughtsAlive.com"

Which translates back to: "Brought you it surrounds Thoughtsalive.com."

Here's another example:

"Don't worry, the book was translated professionally. We're sorry for the translation errors on this webpage!”

Translated to: "No se preocupe, este libro fue traducido al español profesionalmente. ¡Estamos apesadumbrados para los errores de la traducción en este Web page!"

Which translates back to: “One does not worry, this book was translated the Spanish professionally. We are grieved for the errors of the translation in this Web page!”

Even better, here are a few of my translated glowing testimonials.

"Within a pair of weeks I received the promotion to the director and an important increase of the pay... To Harper"

"I tripled to my retired rent and my husband of its work of the day... To say the information is to change of the life would be an underestimation! Thanks! – Marnie"

"... we will double really to our rent the east next year. Thanks, Leslie, to share these principles... CREALMENTE WORK! What excites more to me, is than there is no limit to which we can reach in the future! Thanks again! It smooths H"

Alas, we are grieved for the "errors of the translation." We believe they will be corrected within a day or two. Until then, feliz lectura!

Please invite your Spanish-speaking friends to get a FREE copy Jackrabbit Factor (in Spanish) professionally translated.

(English speakers can still get it for free at JackrabbitFactor.com.)

Now, if you're ready to take your understanding of the principles from The Jackrabbit Factor to the next level, sign up for the 8-week basic Jackrabbit Factor Ecourse...

...or if you're ready for more advanced concepts, sign up for the complete 12-week Family Time & Money Freedom Course.

There's never been a better time to get started... let me help you experience a powerful transformation toward an amazing new level of peace and prosperity for you and your family!

Prosperity: It's a Language Thing

I’ve been so motivated to release the <a href="http://www.jackrabbitfactor.com/espanol.php"target="newwindow">free Spanish Jackrabbit Factor ebook in a hurry, that although the BOOK was translated professionally, I took it upon myself to translate the webpage that delivers it with an online translation tool.

The results (I’m told) are comical, so the page will be professionally translated within a day or two.

However, as I finished, it hit me like a ton of bricks: I realized that learning to use the principles of prosperity for a better life is like learning to use a whole new language.

At first, you’re bound to make some mistakes. That’s normal. In terms of setting goals, It's happened to me, too. There have been times when I thought I was communicating my desires in a goal statement very clearly, but instead they turned into circumstances that I never intended at all.

You know what? That's okay... it's part of the learning process.

Now let's get a little ridiculous:

Imagine going to a Spanish speaking country with nothing more than a basic understanding of the Spanish language and an English/Spanish translation handbook. (By “basic” I mean how much I know: words like “burrito,” “enchilada,” “hola,” “uno, dos, tres…” “Taco Bell,” …You get the idea.)

So you arrive in the foreign country and climb into a taxicab. You open your book and intend to tell the driver, "I want to go someplace quiet and beautiful where I can feel the Spirit of God." So word by word, you search your translation book and say, "Deseo ir en alguna parte tranquilidad y hermoso donde puedo sentir el alcohol del dios."

You spoke clearly and confidently, knowing that you said just what the book told you to say.

What you didn't know was that the driver (who is a native of the country) hears, "Desire to go beautiful tranquility somewhere and where I can feel the alcohol of the God."

Now let me ask you, where do you think he will take you??

When you end up at a saloon instead of a botanical garden or church, you might look at your Spanish book and throw it away saying, "This language doesn't work!!!"

(Pause for reflection...)

Now, have you met anyone who has discovered the language of prosperity through "The Secret" or other books / tools, made an attempt to use it, and then threw it all away because “it” didn't work?

Maybe you've even thought about throwing it all away.

Realize this: the language of faith and prosperity is just that: it’s a language... of the Spirit. It takes time to develop fluency. It takes practice to understand the cause and effect of thinking, feeling, and acting in this new and certain way.

When things don't go the way you expect them to go, accept the results and simply learn from them. Take the lessons that are available in every challenge and let them work in you, so you can get closer to your goal more accurately the next time.

Don't throw away the principles that you know deep down are true, even if the results you get aren't what you expected them to be. When you end up at a saloon instead of a beautiful botanical garden, it wasn't because the "book" or "language" didn't work; the language actually works perfectly. You simply missed one critical word, substituting the word for “Holy Spirit” with the Spanish word for “sprits” (alcohol).

The words we choose as we set goals will also make a critical difference in the final outcome.

Let me give you an example. For a long time I had a goal statement that said, "Money comes to me frequently and easily from multiple sources in increasing quantities on a continual basis. People want my products; God helps his children through me."

After about a year of this, I realized that the part, "People want my products" is exactly what I was getting: thousands of people who wanted my products. But the goal stated that way doesn't exactly translate into revenue.

That's when I changed my statement to more accurately reflect my true desire: "People BUY my products; God helps his children through me."

See the difference? One word can make a big difference.

It's a language thing.

We communicate our desires and receive what we ask for. "Ask and ye shall receive" is a true principle. But this language of faith that we are trying to learn comes from a foreign culture, a way of life that perhaps we remember from somewhere long ago, but has been temporarily forgotten in this mortal realm.

Furthermore, it is important to remember that in God's culture, or “way of life,” when someone asks Him for increased faith, He doesn't necessarily deliver faith, but opportunities to exercise faith. When we ask for financial freedom, He doesn't give us piles of money but opportunities to develop multiple streams of income. When we ask for strength, we are given challenging experiences where we can develop the very strength we asked for. (The movie "Evan Almighty" illustrates this point beautifully - it is a movie I highly recommend.)

The bottom line is this: The more fluent we become in God's language of faith, the more peacefully we will grow toward accomplishing all we truly desire.

Learn more at ProsperYourFamily.com.

What my Daughter Taught Me about Prosperity

Last summer, some of you remember hearing about our family trip when we threw together a few free Stickman Concept presentations along the way. One reason I had so much fun doing them was because I intentionally left my suits at home, kept my hair in a ponytail, and said, "not this time," to all the stuffy protocol of putting on a "professionally impressive, Toastmaster-approved event."

I didn't break my neck making sure everything was perfect; after all, we were on VACATION for crying out loud. Some of you may have seen the one held in Idaho, because we've made it available for your viewing pleasure (for free) here: Stickman Video.

After rolling into town and unloading our things at the hotel venue, I had just enough time to brush my teeth and throw some makeup on in the restroom before racing into the event where about 80 of you waited. In the last moment before meeting you and beginning the presentation, some foundation came flying off my finger and dripped down the front of my sweater. I knew nothing I had was going to remove it, so I wiped it off the best I could, shook my head, and thought, "They'll just have to take me as I am," recognizing this as just other test to see if I will press on, even when things aren't perfect.

When you've got something to do, you just can't get stopped when everything isn't "just so." You do the best you can and let it go.

My children helped us set up the room that night. They had a ball doing it, too... running up and down the aisles, and there wasn't anything breakable in sight, so Mom was happy, too. After setup, most of the kids wanted to go play at our host's home, but 9 year-old Kayli wanted to stay. She had brought a stack of homemade bookmarks in hopes some of the participants would want some before the evening was over. One older brother had chided her, saying, "That's so dumb... it's just paper. Nobody's going to want them." But she wasn't dissuaded.

In fact, she sat quietly through two of our events that week, and by the end of the week she had earned $150 selling "just paper."

Those of you who were at the events were so gracious and encouraging. I know that your encouragement of this little girl will return to you in one form or another, if it hasn't already.

Fast forward seven months. Since those events back in July of 2007, Kayli has hung on to nearly every penny she earned. She payed 10% to charity, and with the remainder, she spent $60 on a box of little canvas bags from www.Uline.com. Originally she intended to create little bags of homemade cookie-dough mixes to put in a few local boutiques, or to sell online. But when the bags arrived, we realized that they just weren't big enough to fit a batch of cookie dough.

At Christmastime, a friend suggested we make gift bags, but we didn't have time to get the idea well enough developed, before Christmas had come and gone. But by the time Valentine's Day was on the horizon, she was ready. Spending the rest of her money on supplies, she put together the Valentine's day bags that we mentioned in one of our last emails, and created 10 to sell.

Her brother again made a cutting remark, which hurt her feelings, but didn't stop her from following her dream. Admittedly, I had a ton of other things to be doing, but she had been so persistent with me that I couldn't refuse her any longer. I dropped everything to take her to the craft store for the rocks, iron-ons, candy, and miniatures. I helped her figure out a good way to assemble them. I created a newsletter announcing them, and we took pictures to include in the announcement.

She sold out of her 10 within a day or two. I initially thought that I'd better get onto the website and post "Sold Out." After all, she had accomplished her goal and was excited that it had all happened so fast. But then I had that second (less convenient) thought that said, "Why not keep going?"

So I dropped everything again and we trapced all over town looking for all the components to make more so we could fill the orders that continued to show up. We cleaned out 3 different Michael's Craft Stores of heart iron-ons and miniature stuffed puppies. She was on Cloud Nine. When it was all over, she had recouped her entire investment and, in fact doubled it.

Her brother didn't have much to say except, "Mom, I want to make something..."

So maybe you're thinking, "Yeah, well any kid could do that if they had a Mom with a website like yours." But before you go there, let me make a point:

I have seven children. I have a website and a newsletter. The opportunity is there for every one of my children... but only ONE of them has ever done something about it.

Life is like that. We're children of God, who has the most expansive distribution network in the Universe. We bring something that we have to offer, and if we bring it with the right mindset: one of expectancy, persistence and determination, then in the right time, I envision God smiling, putting down his work, and taking us under his arm to help us accomplish the thing on which our heart is set.

My kids will often beg for this or that, and they'll wish for that or this, and quite regularly whine when things aren't just so... but once in a while, one of them will step forward with a determination to get my help to accomplish something that they can't completely do on their own, refusing to set it aside any longer. They have a resolved intention to GET IT DONE, whatever it takes. Right or wrong, that's the child who finally gets my undivided attention and help.

I've learned a lot watching my daughter take initiative. She may not know WHAT to do, but she'll lock on to the vision of what the results will be, and she knows that with my help she can accomplish anything.

If you could have God's help with something THIS WEEK, what would you have Him help you do? Are you clear on what it is? Are you determined to do everything in your power to make it happen? Are you willing to pray like it depends on Him but work like it depends on you?

Let's practice operating this week with resolved intention. Decide, first, what you want to accomplish, and then get behind it 100%. Give it all you've got, and envision God helping you as a loving parent who can no longer ignore your requests because you're a determined, persistent, willing and teachable child. Don't hold back. Throw your heart into it, trust God to provide and watch the results be grander than you've ever seen them be.

Fall Forward to Prosperity

Your prosperous ideas are so fragile. They are quiet, powerful packages containing unlimited opportunity.

A single opportunity, the smallest thought… the decision you make on what to do with the thought can either take you closer to your goal or leave you drifting further from it.

The idea pops into your head and can change your life, or it can be discarded, or rejected in a fraction of a second.

Each moment you exist is a moment of choice. The next time an idea pops into your head, care for it like a newborn. Protect it. Nourish it. Don’t reject it just because it doesn’t become an adult in a day.

Enjoy the dream of what it could become. Honor it. An idea is God’s way of bringing you solutions to your problems. At times they seem absurd, but they wouldn’t be there if they weren’t possible (and intended) for YOU.

Don’t worry about making mistakes so much that you remain paralyzed. When making a decision, do as Paul Martinelli teaches: ask if it is in line with your Purpose, and ask if it will get you closer to your goal. If the answer is yes to both, then go for it. Don’t be afraid of falling, because everyone will fall sometimes. The question is, are you falling forward or backward?

Fall forward, and keep on keeping on.

How Rude I Was (Or Was I?)

Prosperity is built on faith. It requires thinking truth in spite of appearances and making decisions based on the images of one’s dreams over and above the state of perceived reality. The truth is that there is only abundance in this world. However, perceptions often get in the way of individuals being able to see that truth.

Let me share a recent experience to illustrate:

Saturday night my husband and I returned home late from an event. As usual, we each went to our desks to check email one last time before hitting the sack. Coincidentally, his office is directly below mine, so sometimes I just stomp on the floor if I need him to call me (see, outbound calls from my desk take extra long to connect, and it's just faster to stomp). On the other hand, when he needs to get a hold of me, he just calls my desk phone (because his outbound calls connect quickly as they should).

Well, that night I was extra tired and went to sleep long before he was done. At midnight or so, I heard my office phone ring. I knew Trevan was still up, and he obviously thought I was still in my office, too. So as not to keep him waiting and wondering, I jumped up, ran into my office, picked up the phone before it could go to voice mail, and immediately said, “I’m not still up…”

There was silence on the phone and then a click.

It was at that point that I realized the person on the other end was not Trevan, but some innocent caller trying to get some help from ThoughtsAlive.com. I had answered my business line at midnight in a terribly unprofessional way, and probably made the person on the other line feel confused, embarrassed and horrible.

Even worse, it was some unknown person of a different culture who called from a country on the other side of the planet, according to the country code on my caller ID.

I have since tried to call back to apologize and explain, but have yet been unsuccessful… getting a failed connection, or busy signal. So part of the reason for this article is to say how sorry I am for being rude, in case the caller has opportunity to read this message.

As I went back to sleep, I couldn’t help but put myself in the person’s shoes and wonder how they must have felt. It can be so intimidating to call someone you’ve never met, even when the person answers politely with a very sunny, “Hello!”

(Case in point: I remember being a newlywed, nervous to call even the utility company, because I was afraid I’d stammer, forget why I was calling and maybe mess something up... who knows what I could have messed up, but those were still my fears...)

So here was someone who pays good money to make a long distance international call, who calls for a reason, perhaps to get some help with an order or something, and I answer with “I’m not still up…”!

How rude.

Well, isn’t it interesting that “appearances” did not accurately represent the “truth?”

Let’s analyze the “truth” vs “appearances” here.

Fact: the phone rings

My Assumption: Trevan is calling me from downstairs

Fact: I pick up the phone and say, “I’m not still up.”

Client’s Assumption: I am speaking to the client, expressing annoyance about the late night phone call

My Assumption: I was speaking to Trevan, hurriedly explaining why I hadn’t picked up sooner

Fact: client hangs up

Result: a mess of misunderstandings, and possibly hurt feelings

Lesson: Appearances aren’t always what they seem to be. I would have been happy to speak with a reader at midnight had I known it was a reader who called. The truth: I was (in my mind) speaking to someone else; the appearance: I was annoyed.

So if someone seems rude or unhelpful, you have a choice to assume that they aren’t frustrated with you at all. If they truly are, then you can find out for sure (or get the whole truth) by picturing them as if they are actually reacting to some other concern on their mind, assuming the best, and then inviting additional communication. From this experience I have fresh determination to exert greater effort to respond rather than react when appearances do not seem to be in my favor.

Even if you cannot imagine the truth being anything other than how it appears, release the strain by letting go and trusting that God can and will make something good out of whatever appears to you to be so bad. Then do not retreat. Press on, believing.

When you begin to assume that everything works out for the best for YOU, you’ll respond to apparent setbacks with optimism and understanding, thus yielding more positive results and accelerated progress.

The same principle applies to prosperity. Spend more energy on actions based on the positive results you expect to attain, rather than on reactions to the perceived state of lack you find may yourself in right now. It’s just a perception.

You might be thinking “Yeah, well the bank says I’m broke…” I’m here to tell you that you are richer than you realize. When you can see what I see, you’ll understand what I mean, and start to behave differently too, and when you do, everything changes. It all begins with believing more strongly in what you cannot see: in something that is NOT supported by physical evidence. That’s faith; and faith can move mountains.

If you find what I’m describing to be difficult to do, then all you lack is knowledge about how this process towards increased prosperity really works. When you understand the process, fear, confusion, and uncertainty dissipates and faith prevails.

For a mind-bending explanation as to why you have every REASON to believe you’ll prosper in 2008 in spite of appearances, read Hidden Treasures: Heaven’s Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters before you talk yourself out of it! You'll be so glad you did.

Prosperity Tip: Open your Eyes

Prosperity increases as awareness grows. With your eyes wide open (figuratively speaking), your confidence and faith is strengthened and you set up an attractive force that brings all the good that you need into your life.

Oh, how often I've been consciously aware that I needed to be thinking differently, thinking more faithfully, more confidently... but could not see how. I know how it feels to KNOW that I should be believing in my dreams, but finding myself in a place where I can't remember how. Maybe you know what I mean. If that is where you find yourself right now, this message is for you.

Now, even though there tends to be more conversations among our readers about Jackrabbit Factor (simply because more people have read it), once a person moves on to Hidden Treasures: Heaven’s Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters, THAT’S when the lid really comes off and dreams can finally begin to materialize in a bigger way than ever imagined.

After Jackrabbit Factor came out more than two years ago, people began to discover the astonishing message of the other book, Hidden Treasures, and it organically became an Amazon best seller last September. (At least that’s when I finally noticed. I actually don’t know how long it had been there). In fact, it has continued to show up in the “Money and Values” category top 100 regularly for the last four months.

Why?

Because people like you are really starting to find out how effectively it opens your eyes. It opens them even when you don’t think they’re closed. It shows you how to have faith when you don't know, or maybe have simply forgotten.

The information it contains is so ground-breaking, so profound, and so life changing, that if you have read Jackrabbit Factor, you’ll look back on it like it was kindergarten. If I may borrow a phrase from Bob Proctor... I have license to brag because none of it is mine. The message is universal and true, and I am simply passing it along in the clearest, most understandable way I know how.

Unlike most books on the law of attraction, instead of telling you that you need to think positive, or that you just need to believe, it gives you the reason, the evidence you need, that makes believing easy. How would it feel to know with certainty that the thing you need is on its way? How would you like to know why you CAN be so certain?

Furthermore, the law of attraction is only ONE of the seven laws that you must know, and Hidden Treasures covers ALL of them extensively, and more.

Perhaps you’ve heard about it (Hidden Treasures, formerly called Heavenly Help with Money Matters) for years, but never got around to reading it. Now’s the time to finally get answers to the questions you’ve been asking: the questions that maybe nobody else even knows you’re wondering:

“How can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart?”
“How long do I have to wait before my prayers are answered?”
“How can my catastrophe be a good thing?”

Find out right now through the complete, extensive Hidden Treasures Ecourse or alternatively, the powerful but less comprehensive paperbacks, ebooks, and audio formats are available at our bookstore.)

Pick Your Picnic - Prosperity Secret Revealed

John Sims was traveling with an associate. The associate said, "John, aren't you going to put on your seatbelt?"

John replied with his raspy tenor voice, "Why, are we going to get into a crash?"

"No, but seatbelts save lives..."

John retorted abruptly in his usual blunt way, "Seatbelts don't save lives."

"Of course they do! Once I was driving with my family and something told me to make sure everyone was wearing their seatbelts. So we all belted up, and just as we turned a corner, there was another vehicle coming at us in our lane. Even though it was a head-on collision, we all survived because of those seatbelts!"

John was firm, "No, the seatbelts didn't save your life, whatever told you to put them on saved your life."

Probably a decade has passed since I heard John relate that story. Leaving a lasting impression on me, its message has deepened and taken on new meaning. He's right. It wasn't the seatbelts that saved their lives. True, they played a part in the actual physics of keeping the bodies secure during impact, but the credit belongs to the voice of warning. The "life-saving" seatbelts were there during the entire trip. But the timeliness of the prompting, and the man's response to it, changed the would-be tragedy into a miracle.

I am reminded of a game I played in high school. Planning to take some friends to a picnic, my friend and I prepared a tape recorder which described our every move as we traveled from our starting point to the final destination.

When it came time for the event, we told our unsuspecting friends to wait at a payphone until we called them and told them where to find the hidden tape recorder. Our instructions: "Turn it on and follow the directions explicitly!"

At the end of the journey was the picnic fit for a king. But along the way, we followed our friends, incognito. The most hilarious moments came when they tried to mimic what we had done, but in the wrong places. Having accidentally fallen out of step, our friends found that the description of our actions no longer suited their surroundings and, to us, it became absolutely laughable. If they had only known where they were trying to go, they could have improvised and found their own way.

Sometimes we look at others who have reached an admirable destination in their life, and then imitate their same steps in an effort to achieve their results. We listen to their tapes, read their books, and attend their seminars; and then we do our best to follow what they say. While we can learn a great deal from people who have what we want, we must realize that we're not always on the same sidewalk, so to speak, as they were when they began their journey to the picnic. We've had different life experiences and carry with us a different variety of baggage, all of which makes a difference. We need to have the destination clearly in view, so that when someone else's instructions do not work, we are still able to improvise our way to success.

So, how do you identify your picnic? It's so simple that most people discard the idea as unimportant. This is one reason why few ever discover the power behind it. All you have to do is simply DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT.

If you knew you could not fail, what would your goals be? This is actually the toughest part of achieving success; the part that at least ninety-seven percent of the population will never do. Create a description of the success you desire, and commit it to paper. Write it in the form of a gratitude statement as though it has already happened. Then you are entitled to, and can trust the impressions which come to your mind. By doing this, you've done it: you've 'spotted' your picnic table. As you hang on to the vision, you'll know instinctively just how to get to it, because it will be in clear view. Without it committed to paper, your impressions will seem random and you'll struggle to know what to do next. Perhaps you've already felt that way.

Take control of your life, and experience the exhilaration which comes from proceeding methodically toward your worthy ideal. Your success begins with the dream...and happens after you've done your part to enlist the voice of inspiration on your journey. See it in your mind, commit it to paper, and be grateful for it before it's even yours. This puts you in tune with that 'inner voice', and you'll finally know just what to do, and when.

For more on this topic, read The Jackrabbit Factor.

Prosperity Tip: How to KNOW if You'll Reach the Goal

Setting and achieving a goal is as simple as placing an online order. If you perform each step in the order process, you can be certain that the thing you want is on its way.

Suppose you've set a goal to sell 20 widgets during the month of February. I'll compare the online bookstore (where I recently purchased an antique copy of “As a Man Thinketh”) to Life's Distribution System.

1. Decide what you want.
Just as I can't expect the bookstore to send me a book before submitting my request, neither should you expect clients who will support a vague sales goal. Pick the dollar figure you want to reach so that life can deliver the right clients.

2. Put it in Writing.
Before I could place the order for the book, I had to find the right order page for that book. However, before I could find the right order page, I had to type the right key terms into the search bar. Wouldn't it have been absurd if I had entered "not Catcher in the Rye, not anything written by Poe…" in my search for "As a Man Thinketh?” Even if the search feature was smart enough to exclude all of that, how long would it take me to get to the book I want? Precision saves time. Write what you want, and be as precise as you can.

Don’t talk about "getting out of debt" when you really mean that you want "financial freedom." We must choose our search terms carefully so that we can be taken to the right order page of life. You're not looking for the "debt" order page, so quit using that term!

Vague orders bring vague results and so we never see the connection between our requests and what shows up. Too often we're placing careless orders unknowingly, and then wonder why life doesn't go the way we want it to go.

Now, commit to the thing you want by putting it in writing. It’s like entering it into an imaginary search box. It's the fastest way to get to the right order page. Write it in present tense as though it has already happened. For a deeper explanation on this, read The Jackrabbit Factor.

So, maybe your written statement will say, "February 28th, 2008: I have now sold 20 widgets." Getting it in writing takes you to Life's "order page" . . . but you're not done yet. Neither the book, nor the clients are on their way until you've completed the entire order process.

3. Add to Cart.
In my book buying experience, after entering "As a Man Thinketh" in the search tool, it took me to a long list of different books. Some were brand new reprints; some were from the 1980's. I spent some time narrowing them down, until I found the one that I wanted which was more than 100 years old. Then, after identifying my specific choice, I clicked "Add to Cart." This is a logical step; after all, I can't expect the store to ship the book until I have told them precisely which one I want.

This step is comparable to adding detail to your goal statement. You need to spend time creating a more detailed description of the thing you desire. Instead of "February 28th, 2006: I have now sold 20 widgets," you write, "February 28th, 2006: I am so happy and grateful now that I have sold 20 widgets. I am astounded at how easily the clients came into my life. I am grateful that I was able to provide them something of great value that will help them accomplish their objectives for a price that was fair. We are establishing a positive relationship and expect to do more business together in the future."

Do this step, and you have just added your desired thing to the big Cart in the Sky.

4. Enter your shipping address.
After the book was in my shopping cart, I had to tell the store where to send it. This step assigns the book I want to the location where I am. It brings together two key pieces of information into one virtual place. Without this step, the bookstore cannot send me the book because they have no address for the package.

Goal setting is no different. Just as the book and my address had to merge into one database, the thing you want needs to be merged with your personal information, too. Notice that during this step, it isn't the actual book that came together with my actual house; it is simply a representation of the book that came together with a representation of my house.

The same needs to happen with a representation of the thing you want, and a representation of you. How? Picture it done in your mind. See yourself signing those final contracts. With the power of disciplined thoughts, you merge the thing you want, with the person you are. Your mind is the virtual database where it all must come together before the order is filled.

5. Receive Confirmation.
After I filled in my shipping address, it asked for my credit card info. This is where I "pay the price" for the thing I want.

In setting a sales goal, to "pay the price" traditionally refers to "pounding the pavement," "making the phone calls," "pulling late nights," "skipping lunches," etc.

But that's wrong. At least, it's wrong if you really want to prosper.

The last thing required before you receive the order confirmation is to allow yourself to experience the feelings you expect to feel when the goal is reached. It isn't easy to do, but you need to take your visualization exercise just one step further. Here's an example:

You're signing those final contracts, and shaking the customer's hands, and having the warm exchange of good will. Then you feel the elation well up inside your chest, and you escort them out of the room and close the door after they leave, and feel the cool, metal doorknob in your hand, and hear the heavy wooden door click shut, and you walk to your desk and sit down with a big, huge grin on your face, and tip back for a moment, then reach for the phone to call your spouse, and you hear the dial tones, and then you hear he/she answering, "Hello?" and with tears in your eyes, you tell him/her, "I did it! It was a miracle, but I did it! Let's go out for dinner tonight!" And your spouse screams on the other line and can hardly speak, and the kids are chattering in the background, "What? What's going on??"

That's your price. That's it. (Don't watch yourself doing it, BE yourself doing it. Don't be an outsider looking in, be in it where all you see of yourself is your arms on your armrests and your lap in front of you, and your feet way down there.)

If you spend some time generating those kinds of images in your mind, and feel the exhilaration of success, you've done it. You've paid the price. And, as those feelings swell inside of you and as tears really well up in your eyes, that is your confirmation. Printing that receipt is optional by describing your assurance in this moment on paper, so you can look at it later as a hedge against doubt.

Trust Life to keep its promise, and go about your business in peace. No need for frantic rushing around, pushing, forcing; you've already paid the price. Go about your business with a calm assurance that it is already a done deal.

The right clients are on their way and will connect with you naturally as you go about your day to day activities. Spend time with your family. Enjoy a little recreation. Be at peace. In the right time, you'll have a thought to call so-n-so or follow up with someone else. Simply follow the thought. Do what it dictates. This is the final step:

6. Expect it to Come, and Open the Door.
After I made the payment, and I received my confirmation, the book was on its way. I needed only to expect it, watch for it, refrain from canceling it, and answer the door when it arrived.

As for your goal to sell 20 widgets, if you've gone through the entire order process, and received confirmation, expect it, watch for it, refrain from canceling it with unbelief, and when opportunity knocks (because it will), simply answer the door. By faith it comes to you; by action you receive it.

For more help on this topic, begin with The Jackrabbit Factor, then explore the 12-week homestudy course described at ProsperYourFamily.com.

No Creative Family Christmas Letter this Year, just a blog entry

2007 offered our family our own share of challenges, and through it all we can attest that it is still true that adversity is opportunity.

In spite of the challenges, as we continued to study and abide the principles of prosperity, the hardships ultimately bore good fruits, and at Christmastime especially, brought me to a place of deep reflection, and leading me to simplify, simplify, simplify. (Hence, no creative family Christmas letter this time.)

The reward for being ultra selective about the commitments I chose has been astounding, mostly manifesting itself through a dramatic increase of quality time spent with my children, especially through the holidays.

The year began with our two month-old baby taking up most of my attention and energy. Knowing she would be our last, I soaked up the joy of every moment that I could. All unnecessary commitments would be avoided.

Trevan was busy working on Real Estate deals, business deals, and was also developing a keen interest in the financial services industry. By springtime, I was finally ready (and physically able) to move forward on projects that had been put on the back burner during my pregnancy in ’06. I even braved the commitment to be taxi-mom for tennis, karate, soccer, and swim lessons (thanks to the help of a few "assistants" Caitlin L, Erica B, and later Sarah A... who really became more like "adopted big sisters").

By March, I became motivated to spend every spare minute creating a self-directed home study course to make the life-changing material available round-the-clock to all people, even when I am not conducting seminars, which also gives me more time for our busy household of seven children under the age of 15. We, ourselves, are committed to claiming more time with our children before they all start leaving the nest in just a few more years.

One focus in 2007 was to be more financially portable. One primary task was to establish health insurance independent of employment since our eighteen-month COBRA plan was scheduled to expire in May. This was a task that I thought might take 30 days or so, which turned into 150 days so we could settle certain uninsurability issues, but WAS finally accomplished, just in time. We began the process in January, but didn't find out until May why it was GOOD that the transition was such an unexpectedly and painfully long process. (Law of Polarity in action! Keep reading and I'll tell you why it was good...)

Trevan and I finished creating the audio version of our books, accepted a deal for the Turkish translation of Jackrabbit Factor, and begun the process for a Spanish translation which we hope to make available soon.

Along the way there were setbacks which were humbling, and through them all we testify that God continues to be aware of us, and we feel his hand in our affairs.

We know that He is keenly aware of ALL his children and supports them in their trials, even when it is not readily apparent. We have been teaching for years that every adversity contains the seed of equal or greater benefit (Napoleon Hill), so we're very fortunate indeed.

One "opportunity" that I can recall in good humor was the opportunity to stay optimistic through the summer months when our A/C unit quit. I finally had to jump in the pool with my clothes so I could go back inside dripping wet to comfortably continue my work on the home study course. Never mind water damage to anything, as the water readily evaporated before any damage could be done. (Even with our home warranty plan, we had to wait a week for each appointment. Sometimes it would get repaired only to break again later that day, and then we’d have to wait another week for another appointment. We calculate that we were without proper A/C for a combined total of about 6-8 weeks out of the scorching Arizona summer.)

We certainly recognize the tender mercies of the Lord in our near-tragic incident with 3 year-old Bethany which occurred in May during the brief three-week period of time when our COBRA plan overlapped with our new major medical plan. She had been found (by 7 year-old Jared) floating face-down in the deep end of our pool. She was revived after I performed my unskilled version of CPR, took an ambulance ride to the hospital, and spent the night in intensive care.

Gratefully she completely recovered, the co-pay was minimal, and there was no threat of uninsurability because the new plan was barely, but already in place. Had we obtained the new plan four months earlier as I had originally hoped, our out-of-pocket responsibility would have been likely ten times as much.

We're grateful for our good health, and that Nathan’s cardiologist recently announced at his doctor's visit that he would not have to return for three more years because he’s doing so well. In all his life they’ve never let him go three years without a checkup. We’re grateful for a policy which accepted him in spite of his open heart surgery and subsequent follow-ups beginning 12 years ago.

To help offset a few Real Estate setbacks, Trevan took a 3-month contract doing the kind of work he quit two years ago. It reminded us of the Jackrabbit Factor when Richard returns to the path for another sack with a mindset that it is only to help him catch the next rabbit. We of course declined the health insurance option because we were still in the application process for an independent policy and bent on keeping him free to leave anytime. After the contract ended, and one day before shipping our very first run of home study program orders, we determined that our best course of action going forward was to join forces (synergy!) and focus 100% on helping others overcome financial challenges, too. Trevan has moved into the chief leadership role of ThoughtsAlive LLC, affording me time to homeschool the youngest five, and finally learn some new things, like what you can do with a whole chicken.

He and his brother have taken the business to the next level by creating the prosperity forums, and making plans for ThoughtsAlive Memberships so our readers can to store their downloadable purchases in their own online digital product bank. He also set the books up for Amazon's new Kindle reader... something I think I'm just going to have to own one day because it looks so cool and because I love to read.

I'm grateful for his interest, talent, aptitude, and AVAILABILITY to do things that were always beyond my scope of interest and patience to learn. Together (a dream come true), we're moving forward on our goals for helping families across the globe achieve more time and money freedom, faster and more effectively than ever before.

I stay connected with my readers and course participants through the new prosperity forums and this prosperity blog, and collaborate with Trevan daily, dreaming, planning, and growing the business, helping others, one idea at a time.

Other notes on 2007:

Jacob (15) continues with the trumpet, choir, played a season of soccer as keeper, enjoys telling his stories to the girls at school of stitches, singed eyebrows (and other various random mishaps), and had his first EFY experience at BYU this summer.

Nathan (12) continues with the clarinet, has become amazingly independent with his homework, and enjoyed a local “Best of EFY” with his older brother.

Kayli (9) is home schooled and still gets to play violin with the school orchestra. She is a wizard in the kitchen. She handles most of the family sit-down meals and loves to do it up. Often you’ll see a paper name place holder at your seat and given a handmade menu to make your selection from her list of options.

Jared (8) was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in August. He is also homeschooled but spends his Wednesdays in the ELP program at school for gifted students.

Nicholas (6 today) is homeschooled and was much too bored with the kindergarten curriculum. He passed the district’s kindergarten post test and has moved into first grade work.

Bethany (4) is having her last day with the “thumb”. She agreed to enjoy it up until Nicholas’ birthday and if you ask her about it in 2008, she’ll tell you, “I don’t do that anymore.” We’ll keep our thumbs crossed. ;)

Sarah – (1) surpised us all by starting to walk at 8 months. Yesterday I caught her walking down the stairs without using the railing. She has everyone in the family wrapped around her teeny little finger… we just can’t get enough of her adorable one-year-oldness.

Our Stake (local group of church congregations) was reorganized in November, but Trevan still gets to enjoy a voluntary assignment the Scouts, which he loves. I have a new assignment (to be made official in a week) and have MUCH to learn but look forward to serving.

Our summer vacation was spent in Utah and Idaho, squeezing in (presenting) 4 free seminars along the way (here's a video of one of them) and meeting a lot of our readers. We played with cousins, stopped at Lagoon, played at 7 Peaks Water Park, and Bryce National Park. Another major highlight of 2007 not to be forgotten: MY side of the family (who are spread across the country) enjoyed our first family reunion in ten years at our house over Thanksgiving.

Oh yeah... Tuesday mornings in the spring were spent teaching an Abundance class hosted at the home of my friend Jacqueline, who asked me to present my seven week series on the Laws of Success (which has been made available as an 8 CD set called "Working with the 7 Laws of Success". It was an honor, helped me get back into the material after my extended maternity leave, helped us keep our heads in an optimistic place through our challenges (opportunities), and gave us the chance to meet other guest presenters she had invited including John Gray (Mars/Venus) and Loral Langemeier (both featured on “The Secret” movie.)

Since then, I’ve had the honor of speaking for a number of different audiences, including Loral’s Alumni Organization and soon Bob Proctor’s Wealth Lab participants. I accepted an invitation to be on the Executive Idea Council at IdeaOrbit.com, and we were astonished but grateful to discover that our Hidden Treasures book became an Amazon best seller in the Money and Values category, appearing on the list consistently since September. We're gaining more exposure as IdeaMarketers.com's Official Proseprity Experts and SelfGrowth.com's Official Guides to Prosperity. (Selfgrowth is the #1 self-improvement site on the web.) The labor pains we experienced while creating the home study course have been followed by the joy of fulfillment in seeing what it is doing for others.

We send our love and express gratitude for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the wonder of his birth, that through him all things may be overcome which separate us from the Love of God. We’re grateful for the challenges, for his tender mercies, and continual outpouring of blessings whether they show up in the form of relief and abundance, or opportunity for growth and increased humility. May we all feel the peace our family enjoyed at Christmastime, throughout the upcoming year.

Sincerely, Leslie Householder and family<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThoughtsAlive/~4/2138433
