I read this statement "People say you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. Truth is, you knew what you had, you just never thought you’d lose it. Anonymous" and many things came to mind. Just a couple are 1.) Stop taking people for granted! 2.) Appreciate who God has placed in your life, whether for a season or a lifetime, God has used them to touch your life for a reason so be

Have you ever taken the time to look at the details of a flower? Or considered how a person can talk on the phone while breathing and walking, then reach up and scratch their head but never miss a heart beat or flow of blood? Who could think of, let alone orchestrate, the intricacies of human nature and the delicacies of our world? ...and how is it that in the midst of the craziness of life

My walk with Christ began at an early age, as I am the daughter, grand-daughter and niece of Pastors; however, my desire to FOLLOW Christ and lead a life pleasing to Him began in early adulthood. I was raised knowing the importance of salvation and "needing to be saved to make it to heaven" but it was the vicissitudes of life that taught me the significance of developing a "real" relationship

According to Wikipedia - "A championship ring is a ring presented to members of winning teams in professional sports leagues, and, in North America, college tournaments." If all the members of a winning team, win and are rewarded for winning, wouldn't it make sense for EVERYone on the team to play their position in order to guarantee success? Far too often team members are after their

...and the celebration continues. :) Today I am grateful for my husband. Since high school I have been able to talk to him, laugh with him, cry with him, dream with him, learn from him and grow with him. While neither of us are perfect, nor do we have the perfect relationship, we are perfect for each other. In those moments of frustration, aggravation, and irritation he is still the one God

The celebration hasn't stopped and my gratitude is continuous. Today I am thankful for growth. Growth is a process we should learn to embrace. As children we grow without realizing it, until we put on the pants our parents bought a few months earlier only for them to now dangle at our ankles. Being that as adults we do not really hit regular physical growth spurts, what areas do we really

Today is the first day of August, my birth month. I enjoy using this month as a time to reflect on my growth during the past year and set goals for the upcoming year. One thing I am certain of, beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am TRULY BLESSED! Everyday I am able to share my life with four awesome people...my husband and three children. Today, I pray that Casey Anthony will develop a REAL relationship with our Lord and Savior. I pray her family finds healing through the love of Christ. I pray the jurors are not haunted by their decision, but find a peace that surpasses all understanding as they keep their minds stayed on Jesus. I pray the lawyers will grow from this experience as they evaluate what they could have done

Why do you do what you do... Attention? Money? Love? In whatever you do let your motives be pure. Don't do that or say this simply because of what you want or expect in return. Do it because it is the right thing for you to do and let whatever you get in return be "extra". Stop expecting so much from others and freely give to help others. When you freely give, you are free to receive.

It never fails that what you can't have you want and what you don't have you feel you need. This became real evident to me as I recently completed a 40-day fast. It seemed as though I NEEDED every bit of food and coffee, I was sacrificing for a greater cause. Yet now that the fast is over and I can pretty much eat and drink whatever I want, I am not even pressed. (I can not tell you the
