There. I've said it.
I finally said it.
I finally said it in a medium that would last longer than my average twit.
I finally said it.

And it FEELS GOOD!

This coming from a person who was wronged by one of these idiots but, begrudgingly, made to pay because the law is blind to see such predicament.

Some may agree while some may disagree. Some may even bully me 'til they're blue to the face. I don't care!
I have my reasons for saying such and it is in no way a mindless rant.

Think about this for a moment...

All modes of transportation has that potential to harm or even kill a person, animal, or plant. But through the years people dying from such modes of transportation are decreasing. And it is not entirely due to the technological advancements that made transportation safer. People made it safer. They made it safer by crafting and adhering to rules, protocols, regulations, and norms that make transportation safe. It helps a lot when they dashed it with liberal showers of 'sentido kumon'.

True, people still die from horrific accidents brought about by supposed technologically advanced vehicles. But, mind you, nearly all of it happened when the safety protocol/traffic rules and regulations where bent, broken, ignored, or bypassed.

True, public utility drivers also exhibit the same idiocy when driving their rolling coffins but their actions are motivated by dire economic circumstances. Hence it effectively made their livelihood a "survival of the fittest" with a "last man standing" attitude when it comes to catching that prized commuter.

Big bike riders are civilized and certainly more decent and hence it isn't fair to lump them up with these imbeciles of the road.

At this point let me make one thing clear, I am not saying ALL XRM riders are idiots. There are a few good men who adhere to civility and decency whenever they ride. But a sizable chunk are really, really, rotten to the core. Ika nga, a bunch of rotten apples mixed with a few good apples will make them good apples yucky.

Having said that, let me draw your attention to the topic and the argument I've proposed:

In a nutshell, Vroom-Vroom XRM riders are idiots. Let me count the ways:

1. They are noisy: Too noisy to a point that psychologists would accuse them of overcompensation.
2. They do not know how to use side-mirrors: They swerve from one lane to another without so much as a "How-do-you-do".
3. They do not know how to use their brakes: Whenever some hapless chap crosses their path they'll gun their little engines and race pass them even to the point of hitting anyone who blocks their way.
4. They are color blind: They can't see the lane markings on the road. All they see are asphalt black or concrete gray. Given they don't see such markings, it isn't too far a stretch to assume they do not know what it means or what it is for whenever they encounter one.
5. They have no sense of direction: Sane civilized drivers know innately that left-hand drive cars roll on the right side of the road. Ergo, it is implied that you drive ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. Vroom-Vroom XRM riders can't seem to grasp this concept. I think it is alien to them for whenever they ride their glorified BMX bikes they always ride on the left-side of the road. And to make it more thrilling, they ride abreast with cars on the right side while playing chicken on cars driving on the opposite side. What is life without adventure, ika nga.
6. They do not understand what the "sidewalk" is for: For Vroom-Vroom XRM riders, the "sidewalk" or "PEDESTRIAN sidewalk" is an extension of the road and hence fair game to them. This is somehow akin to a Bond-like obstacle course while they race through the city in search for the next clue (ala Amazing Race).
7. They like cramped spaces: Vroom-Vroom XRM riders will squeeze their way thru almost anything just to get ahead. They'll pass on the right between you and the curb (while we secretly wish they'd hit the ditch and crash). They'll pass in-between cars (or trucks) on a double-lane road. They'll pass on the left between you and an oncoming car, after which they'll cut-you off at speed just to switch lanes. They'll make a wide hook (cutting you off in the process) just to turn on the same side they originated. Worse, they'll cut-off an elderly woman with a cane holding a child on one hand and a bag of groceries on the other just for the shrill thrill of it.
8. They have poor vision: That is THE primary reason why they keep their headlights on and keep it at bright. They turn it on even at high-noon, like some signal for a Western-type Duel.
9. They are rude: When they fail to push you out of your rightful lane or cut them off when they try to recklessly swerve into your lane, they'll give you this dirty look and curse you to the heavens saying you've wronged them or violated their God-given right to bully you to submission. Never mind if you weren't violating any law or regulation. Basta you've messed their juju and inadvertently smashed their trip. Never would they apologize for their actions because in their head they think they're right, they're beyond reproach. Heck, even the traffic officers and policemen seem to think they're right too.
10. They do not understand the concept of traffic flow or traffic direction: To these Vroom-Vroom XRM riders, the only traffic direction is THEIR DIRECTION no matter if it is contrary to the traffic flow of the said road. They'll clog the opposite lane just to get ahead of the pack and they'll deliberately ride against traffic flow just because it is too much of a bother to 'go with the traffic flow'.
11. They are perpetual quitters: Vroom-Vroom XRM riders have this habit of cutting you off at speed but failing to maintain that momentum to allow the other motorists behind to move along at the pre-specified pace. Kinda like their taunting you to a dangerous game of tag-you're-it. They also have a nasty tendency of overtaking you but quitting midway 'coz their little engine faltered (or so we think).
12. They are dare-devils at OUR own expense: these Vroom-Vroom Riders protect their elbows with helmets while they zip thru the highway like a bat out of hell. They'll even provoke and heckle you by their near-misses and reckless disregard to the safety of others. The sad part is that when they do figure in an accident and sustained injury, the effin' police will charge you for reckless imprudence. The absurdity of this S.O.P is beyond logic that it came to a point that I sincerely believed that when a Vroom-Vroom XRM rider hit a tree the police will file charges against the tree!
13. They do not know the concept of lane segregation: All motorists know this simple rule: in a highway, the inner lane is the FAST lane while the outer lane is the SLOW lane. Effin Vroom-Vroom XRM riders chose to ride their bicycles on the inner lane at a blazing speed of 40KPH! To top this off, they think it is fun if they do this in groups riding abreast while the rest of us are forced to follow along.

It is with fervent desire that I am able to communicate my point across and hopefully made my argument clearer to you. If not, then I suggest you go out of the house more. You need the sunlight and a bit of exercise.

Recent skirmishes of the MILF terrorists with the AFP while the peace talks are ongoing is disturbing. The audacity of their attacks and their seemingly brazen disregard to the laws of the land are a clear testament of their true character. MILF terrorists are TERRORISTS! Plain and simple. Like their abu sayaff comrades, their only motive/objective is power. Power over land, power over people, power over riches. Fighting for the Bangsa Moro people? That's a lame excuse to break-away from MNLF and continue on with terrorist activities! Their only intention is to prop themselves up past their rival MNLF counterparts. If their intentions were for the bangsa moro people, then they should have made ARMM effective by running according to the virtues of transparency, accountability, and public service. Instead they allowed ARMM to descend to its pits and continue on with their business of war. War is profitable, war is business and it gives riches to the MILF officers.

Seeing that MILF is all about the money, then why is PeNoy blind and his subordinates idiots in not recognizing this? Peace? C'mon! They're the gangrenous limb that keeps Mindanao deeply infected with poverty! If they're really for peace then why don't they surrender their comrades who murdered soldiers and civilians with such barbaric monstrosity? Why don't they let the wheels of justice turn and give due punishment for those who murdered, pilfered, mutilated, extorted, and abducted? Why?

Simple answer, the hierarchy is in full knowledge of these acts and condones it! War is their business and it is VERY profitable!

As expected, PeNoy lost his balls again when confronted with issues of conviction and principle. Sugar coating Malacanan's pronouncements doesn't hide the fact that PeNoy FAILED to protect and uphold the law! This is also true for the PH gov peace panel who allow terrorists spit and piss pn their eyes and say "that's not polite". They represent the government for crissake! They should be hardliners with these terrorists! Instead they cuddle them as babies and slap them on their wrists for behaving badly. For the citizenry, it means PeNoy is soft on terrorists and murderers but wants the head of the Arroyos! WTF!

Take the case of the Ampatuans, Zaldy spewed the name of Arroyo and PeNoy is willing to bend over to accomodate him! What more for these masquerading terrorists?

MILF, as an organization, does not have the right to represent the Bangsa Moro people for one plain reason: they are TERRORISTS! Their business is to wage war for money. They don't care about the Bangsa Moro people, in fact, they even kill them with indiscriminate bombings! The military doesn't displace the Moros, it is the MILF that displaces them! Their armed struggle for money IS THE CAUSE of military involvement in their communities. Remove these terrorists from Mindanao and for sure peace will follow. It is not the military nor gov who caused instability, it is THEM (MILF, Abu Sayaff, CPP-NPA)! All of them are terrrorists serving the higher purpose of providing money for the comfort of their commanders! Their ultimate purpose is to make their leaders RICH!

So, PeNoy and members of the peace panel, take off your blindfolds and see whats going on. Murder is not an isolated incident. Lawlessness is not a revolutionary cause. Greed for money, power, and land IS THE ONLY MANTRA OF MILF, ABU SAYAFF, and CPP-NPA! Stop coddling these terrorists and bring them to justice!

The MILF rejected the GPH proposal for autonomy and instead pushed for their own goal of a Bangsa Moro Substate claiming it is what the Bangsa Moro people want.

Wait a freaking minute!?!

A terrorist group claiming to represent the Bangsa Moro people? Like the CPP-NPA claiming to represent the masses while systematically commiting massacres and extortions?!?

Let us dig deeper to MILF's true motives.

MILF is a breakaway group from MNLF during martial law. Democracy was restored, eventually MNLF and GPH agreed to peace and established ARMM. MILF continued to fight, presumably for their own vested interest, MEANING they want their OWN piece of the pie and not willing to share with MNLF/ARMM. They claim ARMM was a failure due to corrupt MUSLIM politicians (that I agree), but did MILF elevated their people out of poverty? No. Did their controlled areas became prosperous under their rule? No. Are they waging a war of attrition so much so that it became their business? Yes. Did the MILF controlled provinces fared better than the rest of Mindanao? No. Did they REALLY cared for and represent the Bangsa Moro people? Big NO! Did they even lift a finger to force the ARMM to become graft and corrupt free so as to achieve their original princples and goals? No because that would hurt their 'bottom line'!

Truth of the matter is, both MILF and CPP-NPA are waging war not on outmoded and failed ideology but for their own vested interests! Their leaders are enjoying the fruits of these atrocities sitting comfy in The Netherlands or their mansions in Mindanao! The ugly truth behind this 'resistance movement' is pure and simple BUSINESS! The business of war is more profitable than any other enterprise! That's why they continue to hang on. If MILF succeeded in creating its own substate do you honestly think they'll do better? Do you honestly think that they will resist the temptation of corruption and instead lift their people to prosperity? My blunt answer is NO! Look at Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Palestine, or even ARMM and thr MILF controlled provinces! They're already rotten to the core with lust for riches and power! They even condoned the Ampatuans and Abu Sayaff! With their vast army and controlled territory, haven't you wondered why they fail to quash Abu Sayaff? Why they fail to promote security and stop kidnappings?

If MILF truly represent the Bangsa Moro people, why are the Sultanate in Mindanao silent? Why aren't they vocal on supporting MILF? Why aren't the Bangsa Moro people rallying behind MILF and support their cause? Simple, they view them as none better than the rest! They're silent for fear of retaliation. One indicator that the Bnagsa Moro loath MILF, they rejoiced on the fall of Camp Abu Bakkar!

So, as a Filipino, would we allow a terrorist to create their own Afghanistan on our own land? As a Bangsa Moro, would we allow a Taliban to reign on your land of birth?

Rock & Roll, in every way, shape, or form, doesn't lose its identity nor it compromises its soul for any circumstance. Rock & Roll may fade today but for sure it will come back better! Like blues, soul, and jazz, Rock & Roll will always be here to immortalize the past, celebrate the present, and influence the future.

The jet-setting Al Haj Ebrahim Murad is enjoying his sake brokering their self-serving deal while splinter groups within the MILF fought for domination!

These terrorists claim to fight for their people, but it is THEM who cause a great deal of misery to their OWN people! Proof, compare their controlled provinces to the rest of Mindanao, which ones are rife with poverty and corruption? And if they're really fighting for the people then why can't they stop the Abu Sayaff? The Ampatuans during their heyday? Or the numerous political despots and their private armies? With all these contradictons to their supposed "principle", do we still give a damn to what they're supposed 'cause' or instead treat them as what they really are, double speaking infidels?

Have you ever wondered why a traffic enforcer would flag you down when you change lanes while making a turn and accuse you of "swerving" and would immediately ask for your license and feel if its "thick enough" to buy him and his cohorts lunch. After haggling for your license you see a Jeepney suddenly veered towards the curb from the inner lane (mind you the thoroughfare has four lanes for each side), stopped on the middle of the 3rd and 4th lane with its back side sticking out to supposedly "protect" its interest in hauling unsuspecting passengers for their ride to hell. At the same time you see a motorcycle with 2 back-riders cruising along at 30-40 KPH zigzagging between sidewalk vendors and pedestrians walking AT THE SIDEWALK. Also at the same time a pissed-off bus driver chases another bus driver who cut him off at the previous intersection with a bravado of a teenager who recently had his student license and is high on solvent, rugby, and what-have-you. The chase is reminiscent of the old action movies wherein the hero is chased by his arch-enemy with its hapless passengers clinging on for dear life. Also at the same time, a group of knuckleheads decided to play Russian Roulette while crossing the street amidst this chaos while using the foot-bridge as cover for the sun..

Its like watching "Cloverleaf" and "Vantage Point" with the intensity of WWE without the scripted acts.

If I were to make sense of it all, I think the traffic enforcer is deeply concerned for your safety so much so that he picked you out of the chaotic boulevard just to point out your supposed "violation" and expect to be handsomely rewarded for his efforts. The rationale for the violation was (this is verbatim according to him) "Bawal ho mag-swirbing dahil mababangga kayo nang mga dyip o bus na dumadaan dito".

I had a blast when I made my first brew, kinda disappointed when there's no crema but nevertheless it still tastes good.
Like my Moka Express, it takes time and effort to produce this magical elixir. Perfect for a lovingly prepared Sunday cup with a typical Sunday spread and your favorite broadsheet.
Another advantage of this mini express is that it warms up the cups while heating up the pressure chamber at the same time. This is due to its small size relative to the size of the stove burner.
Taste is a bit milder than the traditional espresso hence the undertones are indistinguishable but the dominant flavors still stand out.
The best quality of this brewer is its bravado. The way the espresso spurts out of its nozzle and into awaiting and albeit hungry cups and finishing off with a bathe of steam to keep it hot is an art form in itself.

"Look, the meet is discreet. Nobody knew about it. Jones was about to spill the beans on Romualdez and his network when they took us out. Next thing I knew my head is bleeding and Jones is dead. Didn't got the chance to glance on our attacker." Detective Santos said.
"Forget Jones, you have any lead on Mario?" Captain Santiago asked.
"All I know is he's the ringmaster for Romualdez. Nobody really saw him before but one cop claims he knew Mario and saw his face. Too bad he went AWOL, spooked? Definitely." Detective Santos quipped.
"You better find him before they do. Make this case air-tight and jail their sorry ass." Captain Santiago said before stepping out.
Detective Santos went back to his chair and slumped.
"Both cases had hit a wall and there seems to be no way around it. Jones is dead, Pepe is AWOL, no other viable leads for either case. All I know is that they're connected to Romualdez's case. It has to be...." Detective Santos thought, "I got to find Pepe. I got to make sure he's ok."

"Your honor", the usual introduction for men of distinction and authority. Key virtues that are sorely lacking in our elected officials. Remember the phrase "You're not allowed to talk because you have no reputation!" That phrase came from a SENATOR who, not long ago, was CONVICTED of PLUNDER (together with his CONVICTED FATHER) and made an about "angelic" face after being pardoned by their sworn enemy! That "about-face" was made as quick as a drag queen transforming from George to Georgina ! Not to mention the fact that he is not exactly qualified to hold public office (go figure)! The problem with elected officials is that they hide behind their titles and pretend like they're a reincarnated messiah out to castigate everyone that stands in their way. It's as if the law applies to everyone but himself! Just watch the latest senate inquisition and witch-hunt! Remember, the committee's function is to perform inquiries "IN AID OF RE-ELECTION!" They have no power to prosecute or penalize wrongdoers (that power resides in the judiciary). From that "Moro-Moro" show you'll easily see senators who DON'T belong there (either by their mental inequities or simply being an asshole). They throw their questions to respondents with no sense of decorum nor class. They just throw it AT you, right on the face! They masquerade as a "De Kampanilya" lawyer grilling a witness to a pulp but really are fools trying on clothes not fit for them! Tired of the usual rhetoric our so-called "righteous politicians" profess when it comes tocorruption? Here's an idea...

Politicians and government officials charged with corruption shall be deemed GUILTY until proven otherwise...and the burden of proof for their innocence shall rest SQUARELY on the accused shoulders.

For the accusers, They MUST provide solid evidence that can stand solidly against the court's rigorous scrutiny. If they were found to be false, then THEY will suffer the same faith as the accused.

These measures ensure that the accused cannot manipulate the legal system to turn it in its favor or use sloppy police/investigative work to dismiss the case.

It also prevents the accuser from wrongfully accusing an innocent person lest he suffers the same faith as the accused.

Rationale: Politicians and government officials EVERYWHERE are perceived to be corrupt, no matter what color, race, or creed. Honest politicians and government officials only exist in movies and idealized novels/stories.

If Penoy applied this idea, maybe he'll finally lead us to his "matuwid na landas".

In this century we witnessed the meteoric rise of extreme ideologies followed subsequently by their slow and painful death. Ideologies that are rosy and sweet on paper but wolf in sheep's clothing in reality. We saw the sadist and demonic ideologies of the Third Reichfollowed by the spread of communism as part of partaking the spoils of war and as a direct answer to the spread of American democracy. Though democracy has its flaws, none of it is as glaring and albeit more exploitive as communism. The basic idea of communism is to ensure equality in all aspects to its citizens. In reality, however, its more of an 80:20 split favoring party officers, their leaders, and their families up to the nth degree of consanguinity). This outmoded idea still plagues nations unable to temper its serpent head. The western front of communism collapsed more than a decade ago (from the fall of the Berlin wall to the fall of USSR) but the eastern front stubbornly refuse to follow suit. I likened it to an anarchist movement or a demonic cult wherein they use the powers of suggestion and mind conditioning with the ulterior motive of exploiting them to satisfy their own worldly greed. Take the case of North Korea (no need to explain that one) or the ongoing insurgents in our country (the longest in Asia). For god's sake what the hell are they fighting for? Aren't they convinced that their ideas is as flawed as the medieval concept of a flat earth? Why would they arm teenagers and allow them to die for a useless creed? Isn't it enough that a lot of lives were lost just to provide money for Joma Sison's opulent lifestyle? Why resort to an armed battle if they really want change? A lot of people are effecting change without throwing a single stone and not taking media credit for it! The only reason why this insurgency continues to persist is MONEY! MONEY MONEY MONEY! MONEY for the higher ranking officials and crumbs/morsels for the rank and file. These hoodlums/criminals/terrorist harass, extort, and even kill people just to get MONEY! For what you might ask...they need money to FEED THEIR DEMIGODS! In the end, GREED is still the underlying force that drives these lunatics to fight a war for MONEY!

Why do people steal? Is it because of hunger, need, or desperation?

If they're hungry, then why are they at risk for heart disease because of obesity? Certainly they eat more than the average pinoy to say that they're lacking sustenance. For some of them, they get to eat at posh hotels, restaurants or even serve lavish dinners on their homes on a daily basis. Just look at our elected public "servants", they usually double in size after they're 3rd term while their constituents sheds pounds often without effort. Are they really hungry to steal from us?

Is it because of need? Maybe the need to payback election favors and expenditure! Imagine, you'll shell out millions of pesos to get elected only to be compensated much like a call center agent? Who in their right mind would not steal from us just because of their innate NEED to recover their investment? Take these few points to hammer my message: (1) Have you seen an elected official or his relatives up to the nth degree of consanguinitywho didn't became insanely rich during or after their term? (2) Why do unsightly elements who were studded with gold but looked like a goon from FPJ's movies surround a hot new politician during their campaign, like crocodiles waiting for dinner? (3) Why do provinces stay virtually the same while their mayor upgrades his car/mistress every year? (4) Why do the VP, a congresswoman, and a mayor of a prominent city ALL have the same surname? Do I need to go on?

Is it because of desperation? I think a resounding YES is in order. Desperate to hold on to power to fuel their desire for power and wealth! Maybe these names will make some agree to my point: Marcos, Ampatuan, Arroyo, Binay, Abad, Cojuanco, Villar, Belmonte... Maybe now you got my drift. That's the primary reason why the "Anti-political dynasty bill" is as taboo to lawmakers as holy water to Satan!

So, are these leeches justified to blatantly steal from us and still have the face to show it off? Are we allowing them to bleed us dry while we labored blood, sweat, and tears just to feed our family three squares a day? HELL NO!

Sitting in the middle of traffic, waiting for the stoplight to change from red to green, I veered my radio to 107.5 on a nostalgic trip to keep my sanity while recounting the days of "The station that rocks the nation"...after an Air Supply song I heard this..."107.5 win radio, kailangan bang pag-isipan yan?". W...T...F...!!! Suddenly, as fast as pulling my hand from a flame, I switched off my radio while resisting the urge to rip it out and throw it to the garbage bin fearing the devil will come out of it! After regaining my composure, I switched to listening to my iPod and vowed not to listen to that station again!

In this day and age, enlightenment and spiritual upliftment seems to become less important than acquisition of wealth and power. Inner peace and contentment has become a novelty for these people that they fail to give any sense of importance nor priority to it. PURSUIT OF MATERIAL WEALTH IS THEIR ONLY PRIORITY! They may acquire it through legitimate channels but some can resort to stealing, coercion, extortion, or blackmail. After acquiring it, they flaunt it to the world like a barbarian king holding the head of a defeated leader and parading it to his troops and then easily dumps it like a 2 dollar whore. It seems that it is their way of compensating for their inadequacies either in their physique or in their egos, much like a high school jock or primadonna obsessed with looks but quite empty "up there". Sadly, it is not restricted to persons fitting this profile, current society dictates that materialism is the NEW road to salvation, a way to instant happiness and gratification. You can see it in media (both TV and print), in top-rated shows wherein they associate happiness to prize money and gyrating women, in malls (specially during sale season), and even in church. Today intelligence is equated to winning game shows or dressing up to look like one. Worse, these ideas were perpetuated by elders and proclaimed as gospel truth! In fact, when you ask a person what are their criteria for marrying a person, very high on the list is wealth. At times its more important than love hence explaining the success of mail to order bride and unlikely inter-racial marriages.
Don't get me wrong, acquisition of wealth IN ITSELF is not bad if done for the sole purpose of improving quality of life or as reward to one's hardwork. It only becomes evil when pursued for the above-mentioned purpose or acquired through the above-mentioned means.

"Hey Mario! Pick up the pace or I'll whack your head!" his Uncle Francisco shouted from across the field.
"Coming uncle!" he shouted back. "These palays are heavy, should be using a tractor to haul it rather than carrying it on my back!" he muttered while loading another bundle to his back.
It's midday in Cabanatuan at the peak of harvest season, rice paddies are thick with palay with its golden seeds crowning its tip. Months of hard work and patience about to pay off. Uncle Francisco silently thanked God for a bountiful harvest with no calamities nor pestilence (unlike the previous year, they almost lost their land because of floods).
"This is enough to put Mario back to college. The tractor can wait." He said to himself while loading bundles of palay to a waiting truck.
"Mario hurry up, the truck will leave in a few minutes!" He called out.
"Here uncle" he handed the bundle to his uncle."When will you get a tractor Uncle? It'll make your life a whole lot easier."
"I don't need it yet," his uncle replied, "it can wait for next season."
"Huh?" Mario said.
"I'm saving the money to put your ass back in college" his Uncle said with a wry smile carving his sun-battered face.
"College? I'm going back to college?" Mario replied with obvious enthusiasm in his voice.
"Yes, but if you screw this up you'll be working your butt here in the palay fields until you die!" warned his uncle. "This is your ticket out, don't waste it."
"I won't, I promise!" Mario exclaimed, his face brimming with hope and excitement.
Mario remembered that day as if it was yesterday. His life was full of promise, a deliverance to a good life that he deserved. But it was not to be...
The following day, thugs from the town's mayor abducted his uncle and forced him to rescind his land. He mounted a fervent but futile opposition but in the end losing his life. Mario saw his whole life crumble with his uncle's death. Not only did they lose their land but also his entire family was driven out of town. He vowed to return one day to avenge his uncle with the same brutality that they inflicted on him. With that resolve, he set his sights to Manila and hopes to come back equipped to fulfill his revenge.

Why is it when you had all the time you want, suddenly you don't know which one to do first? And why is it when you DON'T have time then you conjure all of the things you want to do? Laxity, idleness, and decreased stimulation tends to dull the mind while chaos, confusion, and disorder forces the mind to focus and hence to think clear and straight. That is why we feel more dumb than relaxed a day before we return to our regular grind (work, studies, project), maybe because of anxiety or maybe because our regular grind is uninspiring and routinary. But for a creative mind craving for stimulation, a break/rest/vacation is necessary to "clear the slate" and start fresh. It allows you to think outside the box and tackle things from a fresh perspective. It is also critical that the environment (both for rest and work) is stimulatory with complimentary human interactions to sort of "fan the flames".
Therefore, we need the chaos and confusion of work/profession in order for us to enjoy the lullity and numbing effects of vacation and idleness.
