Exactly as expected, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 is now available from Verizon Wireless. The phone costs $99.99 after $100 online discount and with a new 2-year contract. In case you want to choose a 1-year agreement instead, you’ll end up paying $169.99 for the phone, after a similar $100 online discount. Naturally, the phone is available off contract too but it will cost you $359.99.

A good example is France, where the iPhone was only selling on France Telecom’s Orange since December 2007, wheres joining rival operators Bouygues Telecom and SFR, open doors for new customers hence why the amazing sales for the summer quarter.

Among those who couldn’t miss the opportunity to reiterate their wish for dominate the 3D world, the folks from Sony showed off a HUGE 280″ 3D display that got the attention as it’s 21 feet wide and 11 feet tall, can play both 2D and 3D video and is made up of 70 individual 28 inch LED displays.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m waiting for a good excuse to stop playing Wii games altogether. And I haven’t played that many of them in the first place. I certainly have arguments to back up my decision. Like the crappy graphics of the Wii or the fact that its follower, the Wii 2, isn’t going to offer us any significant changes! Add to that the fact that both Microsoft and Sony are adding motion sensing support to their console next year and you’ll understand why I’m more and more determined to ditch the Wii.

Richard Schaeffer is the NSA official who said before the Senate’s Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security that the National Security Agency has been working closely with Microsoft to enhance Windows 7’s security guide, igniting fear that the software giant has deliberately coded a backdoor into the newly announced operating system. But given Microsoft’s announcement today, it’s all speculation, as they have “not and will not put ‘backdoors’ into Windows”.

The company has realized that Apple’s iTunes idea is a goldmine and therefore it’s preparing to launch its own iTunes version which will sell music, movie and books to its customers. Mobile applications could also be included in the future Sony Online Service but let’s not get ahead of ourselves!
