Today, Sen. Noynoy filed his certificate of Candidacy for the Presidential Race in 2010. It's official. He really is running for the presidency.

My thoughts. Yes, I believe that he is a capable leader and he can actually win the election with only Sen. Manny Villar his biggest opponent with Gibo running in far behind. I have said this many times, I believe that it's Noynoy's legacy to be president and that he will become president. Will he win this time? I'm not really certain, I believe that he is not as ready as he will be had he decided to run maybe on the next presidential elections, but heck, as everybody else is saying, it was the call of the people and his mom's death, well it was the match that lit that candle, so to speak. And with the support of his family, more so, his sister Kris, he might just make it. and when he does I just hope that he will make a good president for the country. I really just hope that he is the one that can really this country into a better tomorrow.

A long time

It's been a while since I posted here, it's just I've been trying to rest my back from staying in a fixed position for a time, it really hurts when I sit for long periods so I've been refraining from using the computer much, so I really haven't posted much of anything this past 2 weeks I think.

Anyways, much has been going on I can't seem to organize my thoughts.
First, 1st quarter of school year is over, my children are off to a good start I should say, My eldest who is in grade 2 is 4th honor in her class and I'm proud. And my youngest who is in kindergarten only had 2 mistakes on his 1st assessment examination and again I'm proud and happy. We celebrated by eating out and we received a blessing from one of their aunts (a cousin of my hubby) so we were able to buy new toys for the children as well and I'm happy again.

But much of my stress has been coming in from worrying about my mom, who lives with my sister and brother in Canada, but I'm saving that for another post, just watch out for it, I'm composing my thoughts about it already and maybe I'll even get some advice coming from my readers...
hahahaha..

Well ciao for now and I hope to post again sooner rather than later..

A lesson well learned

Yesterday was Sunday so we went to mass and ate at the mall and bought some toys for the children and such. It was a very hot day indeed that the early air-conditioning of the mall weren't enough to really conquer the heat. So it was quite hot, but I didn't notice, no, I noticed actually but just didn't take notice. We went home and after a brief rest I started doing the laundry.

I went to the toilet to pee and noticed that my urine was orange in color, it was unusual for me but I shrugged it off (again) later on, I pee-ed again and still the orange color persisted this time it was more darker orange, so I thought to myself, what could be making my pee orange.. so looked through the net and realized that one common reason for orange pee was dehydration. Oh my goodness.. I looked back at my day and realized that I haven't drank any water for the day. For breakfast I had coffee and for lunch I had soft drinks then at home I didn't drink at all. It is such a shocker for me since I have tried to drink lots of water and with the heat I should have taken in more. And I should have known that, I even keep reminding my children to drink plenty of water, an advice I should have taken myself.... Now I'm working at hydrating myself, drinking water and that nasty nasty (for me anyways) oral re-hydration salt plus Gatorade.

I have learned my lesson well and know that hydration is very important not only for the children but for myself as well.

26th death of Ninoy

Today marks the 26th death anniversary of Ninoy Aquino and it has always been a significant event for the Filipino people and now more so, since Cory Aquino just also passed away.

It is interesting to note how many Filipinos commemorate this event, some went to mass, while others trek to the streets while still others visited the grave of the Aquinos.

I myself just said a little prayer for the eternal repose of their souls and for peace and better politics in the country.

still having problems with internet

I think mostly that internet connection is back to normal back from where I am, but it still sometimes goes erratic and stuff and that is giving me problems trying to update mysites and stuff... I'm having a hard time trying to stay active on some of my sites since everything just goes woolly on me sometimes and its creating havoc on my daily routine.. grrr..
I really just hope that this resolves soon...

It's Tuesday, almost a week has passed since president Cory Aquino has been laid to rest but her grave and that of Ninoy, her husband's is still receiving a lot of 'visitors'.

Last night, Kris has gone back to work, I saw her on back on her show last night, but still talking about her mom (not surprised) and still teary eyed, and the senator is also back to work in the senate.

But I think there's still a lot stuff that they are sorting out with regards to the death of their mom and the country is still reeling from its loss...

But the backlash is also a b*tch. Willie Revillame, who's on indefinite leave from his show, is receiving a lot of bad vibes due to unsavory comments during one of his shows, another is the noise of Noynoy, her son, running for a higher position, stuff regarding Cory's stuff and where it's supposed to go.

I think eventually everything will die down and that everything will return to 'normal' but for now yellow ribbons still abound over the highways and on station id's and everything, but somehow its not as irritating as it should have been.

Maybe I too am still affected by her death.. yeah who knows.. by the looks of it. I'm still writing about it...

hahaha...

A Farewell to Philippine President

I spent most of the day watching as President Cory Aquino is finally laid to rest, the service was finished at around 830pm, it was long since it started early in the morning, I was touched by Kris Aquino's recounts of her mother and continue to pray for them. I was also somewhat shocked to see Noynoy, shedding tears. It was touching for me to see him cry since for the most part I really haven't seen him cry during the wake but as they were sealing his mother's final resting place I saw his tears falling.

Today is such a sad day, as the Filipino people lay to rest one of its foremost leader for democracy and peace. I do not think that Mrs. Aquino was the perfect president, nor was she a perfect mother or a perfect person, but she did the best she could without compromising her dignity and integrity and that is what is most important for me.

I bid farewell to a president well loved, may she rest in peace and may the family and the people that grieves for her take comfort in the knowledge that she is with the Lord and with her beloved husband Ninoy and that she is free from all pain and suffering that she had endured her on earth.

President Corazon Aquino dies at 76

Today at 3:18am the former Philippine President Corazon Aquino dies secondary to cardiopulmonary arrest. She was an icon for democracy for the Philippines. She lost the battle against colon cancer.

The government announced a 10 day mourning period, although the family opted for a private funeral rather than a state one.

She will stay at La Salle Greenhills gym till Monday where she will be taken to Manila Cathedral until her interment at Manila Memorial on Wednesday.

My condolences to the family.

Oh no! work-online.org.uk froze their story submitting, means no stories for the meantime.. I hope that the site doesn't end here... I just joined, oh well, so much for that.. but I do hope that this glitch is temporary, but if it's not well I didn't lose to much.
And I have found other sites that I hope will make me some money as well, I'm not gonna place it here yet since I haven't been paid in this sites so I'm not gonna jinx it.. (hahaha)

I came across this site... work-online from one of the members of the other online site I work on mylot. Anyways I just started, it's a simple way to earn if you like to write. I just started so I cannot really tell you much of it yet.. but its basically a website wherein you tell a story incorporating certain keywords and then if they like it, wah-la, you get paid I'll tell you more about it as soon as I get more details and as I progress into the site..

My love-hate relationship

PLDT has been my provider of choice for our internet connection. It is generally stable, fast and we barely have problems, and I love them for it. But when you encounter a problem. erratic connections or cut lines, then you are in for a long wait before any lineman/technician will come to you to fix whatever the problem is, you're early mornings will be filled with filing for the report until the time comes that they finally send someone over to help you with. Unlike their counterpart, the other biggest service provider Bayantel, you don't even have to wait 24 hours before a technician comes to you if you encounter any problem, they are even cheaper but the connection, well at least here in our place is as erratic as the weather. It gets disconnected often and sometimes it slows down.

PLDT is still my provider of choice mainly because of it's stable connection but I just hope that one day they will learn to be more after-sales friendly and that their customer service will improve to a much much more acceptable level

I read on Yahoo! news that Ryan Seacrest cut a deal with the American Idol People.. He will be paid a whopping $15-million a year for 3 years for his hosting prowess on American idol and whatever show they choose for him...

Well I can honestly say he's a good host and American Idol suits him well.... Congratulations Ryan!

Wow! that's 200% increase from his annual $5-mil from his previous contract..

A splitting headache...

My headaches and my heart is pumping. Is there something wrong with me?
My goodness. I have been tired and cranky since last week and I know I'll still be tired and cranky this coming week. Birthdays are coming up, plus some relatives are coming over and I know that this means a lot more chores to do rather than not...
I just hope that somehow thru it all I'll be calmer and don't get my temper all fired up...
I know it's not easy to be here, nor is it easy to be not.. hahaha... but one thing I'm certain I know that if I don't get out of this slump soon. I'll end up hurting more than myself

Getting Tired....

Lately, we let go of our household help and gave her to my mother-in-law since my hubby and I felt that she needed the help more than we so we decided to 'give' her to my mother-in-law.

What does this mean? It means that we are now having to move for ourselves, this week I had to launder clothes and iron em too. We had to take care of the kids, bathing time and eating time, even going to school and cleaning em up after activity. Had to check up, especially with my youngest, during playtime, to make sure his back is dry from sweat and that he drinks plenty of liquid as he plays.

Yes, its tiring but somehow, it gives me pleasure to perform such tasks. I'm happy that I'm moving, moving for my children and hoping also that these increase in activity will help me lose weight as well.

The Michael Jackson Memorial Service

It was getting late... 12MN has passed but the service hasn't started yet, I was thinking that I was going to go to sleep, but heck I already waited this long.. I was tuned in to CNN live from I think it was 8pm, so I decided to wait it out, plus I had a good afternoon nap that I wasn't sleepy yet.
It started at around 1am with a message from Nelson Mandela as read by Smokey Robinson the a long pause since they had a problem with the audio system in the Staples Center, when the audio was fixed a choir started singing and Michael's casket was brought in by his brothers. Mariah and Trey sang I'll be there, Jennifer Hudson, Will you be there, Usher, Gone to soon and some others I cannot remember anymore, There were many touching remarks from some of his friends, Brooke Shields' was especially touching as was Marlon Jackson's. Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson spoke and some other people I don't know.

I was teary eyed the whole show but never did have any tear fell until Paris talked, a short but spoken from heart on how great a father Michael was and how much she loved her father. I don't think anyone ever thought that any of his children would be speaking let alone be whole heartedly touched by what she said. I believe that hearing from his child on how great he was enabled us too peek at a facet of Michael's life that the world is not really privy to and that is what kind of a father he was and it seems that he was very close to his children and that he was really a good father to them.

The service ended around 3:40am, my time again, with his casket being rolled out again by his brothers, with the song man in the mirror playing in the background.

His memorial service was the very beautiful, solemn and celebrated his life, his talent and his death. I think his fans was very much satisfied with the memorial/funeral service except for one thing, I myself had hoped for, that we hoped that it was an open casket.

Start of another school year

tomorrow marks the start of classes for most of the children here at home, although my eldest will start her class by next Monday. My youngest starts his kindergarten tomorrow too. It's amazing how these kids grow up so fast, tomorrow his in kinder, in a little while he'll be off to elementary then high school... oh my...

My daughter starts her school next week at yet again another school I hope that she will be able to adjust well to her new school and I hope that we will be satisfied with the teaching methods of this school, it is not easy to find a good school with an affordable enough tuition.

Well let's all hope for the best this coming year.
