I am a bit nauseated ever since I realized that it was a suicide.
Not everyone is lucky enough to have a peaceful death and in fact there is nothing called ‘right to peaceful death’. So a peaceful death comes only when the devil and cannibals are busy.

But I realized ‘this’ human being was lucky enough to have a peaceful death and that too when no cannibals were waiting for him! But I was wrong. He had his own way and killed himself. May be he didn’t want others faithful care.
Like him she could not escape from the dystopia. She is suffering and dying, waiting for the mercy from the so called ‘superpower’. She is almost like a living corpse now, I can see the devil sitting near to her and laughing at me when I see her.

I feel like she is living to show us the pain of death, the other part of life or the pain of transition from life to death.

This is all about my experience with Reliance and Tikona broadband connection or in other words this is how Reliance and Tikona broadband earn!

Reliance:
It was an electric post that pulled me to this trouble.
The offers and unlimited plans of reliance, pasted on the electric posts and apartment gates attracted me towards ringing them. The collection of application and documents happened on the same day and was told that the connection will be ready within maximum of 3 working days. At that point of time I felt the same confidence level in him that Anna Hazare has in getting the holy Lokpal passed.
The very next day I received a mail that included my Login details of the broadband connection from broad minded people. But that was it and then never I received any updates from them and made me to sing ‘The End’.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday the days passed and I felt the immense feeling of losing the 500 rupees that I handed over to the agent in the form of cheque. The agent never picked my call, customer care responded as per the dialogues written in their script. Finally with the help of ‘cancellation of cheque’ option in HDFC I saved my 500 rupees unlike my other friends.

Reliance part two:
After I got shifted to a new room, again the posters on electric posts and their unlimited plans and offers motivated me to call the Reliance customer care with request for a connection, but this time with a hypochondria effect. The result was the same again. Similar to the last time, the fast process got stuck with the collection of the 500 rupees cheque. Again my longing for an unlimited stable broadband connection remained in infinity as of Sachin’s 100th international ton.

Tikona
This time the protagonist is Tikona. Mumbai based wireless broadband service provider; but the name appears as if they are influenced by Japan/Chinese names.

Tikona has already a ‘superior’ name in this field for providing the internet connection with high, higher and highest fluctuation in the speed.
But the lack of options and the mettle in me made me to go for Tikoneese connection. Again with the help of electrical post broadband directory I called the Tikoneese man, and to my surprise they came with a demo that night only, took the money of 1200 and send me the user id and password on the same night. The next day the connection was set. A super fast service in providing the connection!
But that was it! From the next day my dialed numbers was filled with Tikona customer care numbers and for a week I got visitors in the form of Tikoneese engineers with their acolyte. But no change in the lethargic connectivity and I realized that my hard earned 1200 Indian currency was a donation to the Tikona Charity Fund.
Now I have requested Tikoneese customer care to disconnect my connection and refund the amount, which I am pretty sure is not going to happen, same like the Government’s plan to bring FDI in retail this year!! And decided to stay with the TataDocomo3G stick services, although expensive the service is best.

<georss:box>12.724026199999999 77.2787057 13.2191712 77.91041969999999</georss:box>

Spam Brilliance

More than a song it resembles like a poem that requires much analysis for its meaning. Some interpretations relate it to Heideggerian and Nietzsche’s philosophy and some intellectuals relates it with Morrison’s break up with his girl friend.
This time the protagonist was not me, but my pal who is a fresh graduate (in fact an experienced graduate as he completed his B tech degree with the thorough study of 6 years) and I was just giving him a company (Jane! I am done with the battle of finding a job). We reached the venue before the time. It was a small company even though the selection procedure didn’t seem to be small. The selection criteria included a ‘harsh’ written test followed by a technical round.

The outside look of the company actually raised my friend’s confidence level and started planning like ‘will spend 1 year in this firm, gain experience and jump to a better company’. We saw 3-4 guys roaming over there with similar dress code as of my friend’s that made us to reach a precised conclusion that they were also getting ready for the same battle. But still there was no change in the confidence bar of my friend as he was well prepared and competitors was not much in number.

But gradually the number of candidates increased and we got surprised not only because of the number of candidates for this small company job but for finding guys from different parts of country, who came only for attending the interview. And all were fresh engineering graduates with good score.

And it was time for written test followed by the technical interview. In between HR of the company started explaining like ‘there will be initial fee of 60000 as part of training cost and further you will be paid 5000/- per month’ which is a regular scenario in all the small companies as they wanted to gain some profit from these interviews even. This announcement made some of the candidates to say goodbye. We stayed back as my friend was even ready to pay for the sake of a job like the majority of fresher graduates in India. Unfortunately he was not selected stating the reason of his low score in the semester exams and the interviewer even didn’t consider him to ask a few questions to test his potential (No surprise it’s the marks in paper that decides caliber of one in India).

These all made some of my thoughts clarified. Let it be the course you did or the course I did or from wherever you/I did, the struggle to find a right job being a fresher is the same (condition exceptional if you get placement from the college or if you are son of an ameer papa with good grip or if you are passed out from IIT or such branded institution where as per all companies the output products from these branded institutions are ultimate dimaag waalaas).

13/07/11 – another 26/11 or 12/03 kind of day for Mumbai.

Outcome: Another bunch of status updates, candle marches, debates…………
Also massive probe by Mumbai ATS and police is going on. (Guess probe on 26/11 is on hold for time being). By side Media is also doing investigations independently for their viewers and TRPs.

On another side, it was quite a different for all celebrities, tweeples as this time they managed to tweet all their sad feelings, retweet the helpline numbers unlike last time where they concentrated only on face book/other updates chiefly. For the next blow up they may have more work along with FB and twitter updates! Google+!!
– ‘Most of the status updates and online help out came from Bollywood actors/actress whose movies were geared up for release!!’

Who told younger India is not doing anything for the homeland? Check their Twitter/Facebook status updates; especially at corruption season or at the time of Blasts, you can feel the true patriotism of young guns. The only difference of younger India’s patriotism is that we only have ‘virtual’ patriotism. Yes! We don’t bother to go out and show our anger/frustration/feelings. Instead we use alternate methods like- posting views on facebook and twitter or use the much easier method, that’s LIKEing the others views and the causes someone created! Uncomplicated isn’t it!!

I too thought of being patriotic; thought of uploading an image of candle in my social networking profile as a mark of condolence/ reverential offering to the blast victims; but got astonished when I found another candle already there in mark of respect for the 26/11 victims and martyrs. Result: reluctance to all these nataks.

As someone who thinks said, it’s always easier to identify problems than to implement solutions.

Mobile Number Portability

Mobile Number Portability – A system that allows mobile customers to switch over to any operator without changing the number.

Recently I tried my hand in this system (MNP) to switch from Vodafone to Airtel.

Result: Success on fourth attempt

Lesson learned !: Even if the procedure of MNP authored by TRAI appears to be simple there are certain extra ‘numbers’ to be used by the customers to make one’s hard work for MNP successful.

If you are a cell phone user, wildly waiting to switch (ditch!) your carrier service provider without changing the number; here are the steps to be followed that may help you to avoid multiple attempts for port out/port in:

1. If yours is a post paid connection make sure it’s is not a corporate plan; if yes change the plan to a basic plan.

2. If the connection is a prepaid type, maintain a minimum balance of five rupees and if post paid make sure your last bill is cleared and outstanding amount is zero (you can continue making calls as this will be included along with your next month’s bill).

3. Make call to the current operator customer care and check whether you are in a contractual period or not; if yes apply for cancelling the contract through customer care or service provider’s store.

4. Once the above mentioned formalities are done with, walk in to your desired mobile operator’s outlet and apply for port in (19/- rupees for prepaid and no charge for postpaid) using the Unique Porting Code (to generate this code message PORT’SPACE’’YOUR PORTING MOBILE NUMBER’ to 1900.

5. After applying for port in with your ‘dream’ service provider, within two working days you will receive a confirmation message from 1901 and the current operator.

6. Within the next 96 hours (working hours) you will receive again another confirmation message about your port out from your current operator and from 1901 that specifies the port out time.

7. On the port out night you will be receiving two welcome messages from your future service provider.

8. Next morning insert the SIM card that was given by your new operator (that you received at the time when you submitted application) and enjoy trouble free calling.

9. If your new SIM card is not working, it can be because of the wrong SIM card given by your new operator; you can get the right SIM by applying for duplicate SIM card that will get activated within four hours of purchase.

10. For post paid users you will get your last bill from the previous operator's on your usual bill date.

11. And for prepaid users there is no provision to carry your balance/plan from previous operator’s service to the new one.

Hope this article will make your PORT OUT/IN easy-easier-easiest!!

Trendslaughter Fest 2011- A review!

After missing out both Invasion Festival and Undergrind 2011, my New Year resolution to attend maximum number of rock gigs finally on track with Trendslaughter Fest 2011.

Thanks to Kyra and the Cyclopean Productions who organized the show.

The show featured Bangladesh Death Metal band ORATOR with supporting bands CULMINAT (Bangalore), DYING EMBRACE (Bangalore), BEVAR SEA (Bangalore) & GORIFIED (Bangalore).

The Kerala based band WAR HORSE CHAINED was also supposed to perform but was missing during the show.

The show started with BEVAR SEA, young lively band from Bangalore and was really impressive with the symphonic metal and became my favorite among the all. The next bands to perform was CULMINANT followed by DYING EMBRACE and GORIFIED. It was Dying Embrace and Culminant that made the Mosh Pit active and the free Audio CD distribution by Dying Embrace was an good opportunity for head bangers to show their ‘fielding skill’ to grab the CDs.

But it was Gorified’s act that disappointed me; and that 1 hour made the show little boring. The reason may be they were only two and the drums were programmed and played. Although that made guitar sound clearer but still I feel live drums make the stage more energetic. Also the reason behind the let down may be as I expected much from this band as I have seen this band’s name scores of times in other city rock shows.

The show winded up with Orator’s performance. The band was tight with guitars and drums at best. It was the extra symbol that made some numbers special. But still at the end of the day my favorite performance was of Bevar Sea. I don’t remember the vocalist’s name. For me he deserves the ‘Performer of the show’ honor.

The show also featured some cool merchandises like Orator T shirts, Death Metal CD’s and also some free Bevar Sea stickers too.

Overall the show really rocked. Made all metal heads bang their head and mosh. That factor proves that the show was a success. Now waiting for the next fest from Cyclopean and Kyra.

It’s none other than nostalgia that’s haunting me. No it can not be termed as haunting. In fact it’s just the upshot of the over thoughts towards the past.

‘Walk towards the memory lane’:

My office is little far away from where I stay. Want to catch two full jammed buses in the early morning and evening. And the sandwich body massage that one suffers during this journey justifies the high bus fare put up by the Bangalore Municipal Transport Corporation. So after getting down from the first bus there is a little distance that I should walk, towards the bus stop from where I get my final bus.

In this short distance walk there comes a bundle of thoughts that makes my ‘thinking gadget’ busy.

I think about our life journey which is just about food...job…Sleep…Entertainment…And this continues. Here its Buddha’s words that runs into my mind. Who is me and what’s my role in this 'cool dudes' world (could be termed better as ‘Buddha’s words’ modified)

I was in class 7 when my cousin's 10th board result was out. It was at that time the 'thinkers union' announced that year 2000 is going to be world's end. By this news I consoled myself that 'don’t worry by the time board exams come the world will not be there to conduct it!' Time passed way like anything and world didn’t burst and I appeared for my 10th.

Then came higher secondary…Degree…job hunt…Yes everything is happening
that never I though I too will be part of!

World is also running without any sign critical damage!

Never thought I too will roam around metro cities, I too will start drinking, I too will start listening to English songs; will give preference to branded clothes...Hell. Again everything is happening and lots more to happen ...marriage...Kids...Life as a middle aged man…. Life as an old man...

Result of these thoughts: an anxiety assorted with nervousness.

Are these thoughts a result of lack of courage or lack of attitude towards life? NO; in fact a big NO. It’s the consequence of a feeling that I am missing something when I cross each small stage in my life.

For instance now I miss the days when I stayed with my loved relatives and cousins during vacation in my mothers house to be specific 'ancestral house' or 'tharavadu' in Malayalam.
Miss the days when I used to carry my younger brother in my cycle to the school bus stop.
At that point of time I just wanted to be an 'elder boy' to whom no one asks the question 'for what' or 'why'.

Now I am an 'elder boy' with little nostalgic feelings who don’t want to be further elder!

I feel this stage is the best of life where I have no much tensions; having a job (so no factor of dependency), can enjoy freedom of being single (except when blocked by the boxers in pubs who keeps repeating 'stags are not allowed'), care of loving parents and loving relatives and cousins. Feels like to discover a tool that will have the capability to freeze this time.

But this is life-:
a compilation of different short story movies so called stages of life…different way of thinking in each stage and
When we recap the sadness of one stage may be felt as funny in the next stage…
Surprises us with lots of happiness sometimes and at the other end the locked 'sadness package' is kept and opens whenever ‘he’ feels it.

thoughts on change
Music(as a listener) always occupied first in the list of my interests.
Now its heavy metal music that has occupied place in my play-list and even started going to rock pubs just to enjoy it in loud speakers.
But always there are certain thoughts that comes into my mind when i write about my interests in the interest box provided in all social networking web sites. 6 years before if i was asked to write on my music interests i would have written some names of few Malayalam movies released at that time. And if 4 years before i would have added some bollywood movies name into that list. And 2- 3 years before when i joined in orkut (that ruled the social networking world in India before face book) i filled the interest(music) box with name of some international artists along with my favorite bollywood music composers. Just like my friends i mentioned the international artists purposefully just to make the profile impressive! But now when i look into my play-list its filled with international music (mainly rock and classic rock)and 90 percent of the space is dedicated to heavy /death metal (still exploring the various bands with help of some friends who can be called as /m\) and is too much interested in live concerts.
Its interesting to take down a walk on all these small changes in our life that proves the amazing fact' change is the only thing that not changes'.

Racism in 'racism complaining' country

Often we read about racism in Australia, United Kingdom, United States and other European countries. And mostly, the victims are students those who go abroad to study.
While watching all these news through the idiot box one may not feel the mental stress that a person goes through while facing this callous discrimination.
Even always, I thought this all occurs may be just because of any kind of misbehavior from the side of Indian students.
In simple words racism is hatred of one person by another; this hatred can be region based, caste creed etc.
And always our media is always there to give hype to all these racism concerns occurring to Indians 'outside the country'.
What about the discrimination that is faced by the Indian citizens with in India? Have any media discussed about this. Never.
Or is India a racism free country?! Where we all treats others as our own brothers and sisters.

As of me the answer is a absolute NO. Racism does occur with in India and mostly the victims are students who travel to another state for studies.
The best way to show an example is to list out some words that every one may be aware of or would have used to describe some one.'MADRASI', 'CHINKI', etc are the most common words. One will not feel proud if he is denoted as a 'madrasi', he will feel as if he is discriminated or considered as a substandard 'gaav waala'.
North India and south India: Have any one tried googling these words. When you try to Google these words it will show the most searched terms as 'why south Indians are black', ' north India versus south India' etc. And this discrimination does occur but has not been discussed through public media or in an open forum.

Its students who face this problem more. For instance if one goes to Chennai and if he talks in Hindi with some one, the answer will be a stared look as if he is an alien. And there even the government has taken a anti Hindi stand. You may remember the time when Karunanidhi asked to pour tar on the posters that is written in Hindi. But now the situation has improved a little as the educated younger generation understands the value of national language.

But still some state government and regional parties use these language difference as a tool in order to show their 'true patriotism'. For instance Sivsena (who consider Maharashtra as a separate country!!) And I personally feel pity towards the followers of these kinds of unions. It’s good to spread regional values but should not should not end with discriminating others.

And now let’s go towards the northern part of the country. There I have come across people who consider people from south as 'south Indian citizen; and use 'Madrasi' as a term to describe; let the guy /girl be from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka or Andhra-all are 'madrasi' who cant speak Hindi and the default image of a madrasi is kind of people who are in black color and looks ugly and speaks with world's poor English accent. The term 'Mallu English' is also so popular and is commonly used against Keralites to tangle their English accent. But don’t know why Keralites are more targeted where as people from Bihar, Bengal, Tamilnadu also have much regional influence in their English more than of Keralites.

As some one said, in modern India there are no Indians but only kannadigas, maharashtrian, tamilan, malayalee etc.

And now towards the eastern part -There is nothing to write on racism happening there as hardly people consider it as part of India. This should be considered as the fault of our Indian government who never tries to promote those regions and also is afraid to raise voice against any country like china that show some part of north east as part of their country. Staple visa issue is a good example for the poor actions taken on issues happening in the Northeastern part.

But i wish one more disease be included in that list.
Although not dangerous no medicine has been found out to cure this disease that am taking about. And the disease is simply'mouth ulcer'.
This 'character' has been a regular visitor in my life.Consulted various doctors, tried home remedies, googled a lot.and at last finally reached into a conclusion. The conclusion is 'there is no medicine to cure this'.Only medicine available is some sort of anesthetic gel and pain killers.
