Happy Monday Everyone! Hope you had a great Father's Day weekend! I went out to lunch with my dad and dinner with my father-in-law! They are both amazing, super loving, and admirable men! I love them both so much and am so lucky to have them in my life!

Another sporty chic outfit for you today! I incorporated my new metallic heels because they were a bit hit from last Friday's Thrifty Finds Friday! I love them so much! I've seen lots of fashionistas wearing shoes that look exactly like these but I'm sure they all paid more than $4 for them!

So, update on the cleanse I did last week. I'm pretty disappointed. I was super disciplined all week and I now weigh the same I did when I started. I'm still glad I did it though! My husband, Jason, and I really bonded and had a great time together throughout this process. I feel like we learned a lot too! I learned that I need to drink more water, that I feel really good when I eat lots of fruits and veggies, that I'm stronger than I thought I was, that I don't need bread, that I need to listen to my body to know when and what to eat, and that I can actually be a pretty good cook! Overall, I think this diet isn't really for someone like me who is already super disciplined about what they eat and doesn't have much weight to loose. I would still recommend it to those whose eating habits have gotten off track and have more than 10 lbs to loose. So there it is! Back to normal today!

Many of you said you liked this wrap skirt but were curious how I was going to style it so here you go!

Yes, I got my hair cut! This is my favorite length for my hair. It feels so good to have it off my neck for summer!

The cleanse is going good! The hubs and I are doing the GM diet this week. I'm surprised how good I actually feel! I feel happier and definitely thinner! I haven't weighed myself yet but I'm already fitting into my goal pants! Today we have to eat Bananas and milk and the special "wonder soup". Not sure how many bananas I can eat in a day but I guess I'm going to find out today!

Music Video Debut

Hi Everyone! Just a warning you might want to grab some tissues before going any further! Today I am debuting the videos on Human Trafficking that I got to have a small part in. I did the makeup and styling for Heather Evans who is the singer/songwriter and star of the music video called Sweet Princess!

It all started with Heather Evans. She is an amazing singer/songwriter and she has a huge passion for the issue of human trafficking. She wrote this song about the issue. Then this producer she had worked with in the past decided to help her make the song into a video and also make a documentary on human trafficking as well. Long story short a ton of talented people and generous businesses donated time and money to this project and now it is finally finished! It turned out amazing and I wanted to share it with you! It was such a privilege to be a part of this project! My prayer is that it will aid in destroying the issue of human trafficking forever!

The hubs and I started a week long cleanse yesterday. We are doing the GM diet (see here). Yesterday was all fruit and today is all veggies. By last night I didn't want to see another fruit as long as I live! And right now it's 7:30am and I'm eating a baked potato! I'm just glad my husband is doing the diet with me- I don't think I could do this alone! Wish me luck!

So in case you are wondering I did end up wearing the peach and gray ruffled dress last night to the rehearsal dinner! My mother-in-law turned to me and said- I see you were in the mood! I was and it was perfect!

Tonight is the wedding! I will be going to the church at 2:30pm to start putting makeup on the bride and the 4 bridesmaids! It's going to be a fun day! I'll show you the dress I'm wearing next week!

Had a great weekend! On Saturday while I was at work, I got flowers sent to me from my wonderful hubby! The best part is that it was for no reason at all! He is so sweet! Then when I got home we went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Bravo! Then have a wonderful light menu now- all the meals are under 550 calories and they are super delicious!

I've been on this healthy diet for 7 weeks now and I'm feeling great! I always hesitate to tell people I'm on a diet because they usually laugh at me and say you don't need to do that. But about 8 weeks ago I found myself at a weight that shocked me! I was about 10 lbs more than I thought I was! Even some of my clothes were not fitting me! So I immediately got my butt into gear! I'm doing 3-4 intense cardio workouts per week eating under 1480 calories per day, and recording everything on My Fitness Pal- which has been super helpful for me! Feel free to follow me on My Fitness Pal and check out my food diary if you need some inspiration! I've also cut out gluten and dairy which has really helped my IBS a lot! So far I've lost 4 lbs and hope to loose just a few more but mostly get toned up at this point! Just wanted to tell you all and hopefully encourage some of you to get healthy too! It's so worth it- just do it!

I love the ease of a kimono jacket. So comfortable but not hot or stuffy so it's great for warmer weather!

As a fashion blogger I feel it's my duty to try out all the trends first. The crop top trend is one of those scary trends that I thought I would never do! That is until I found this super cute one at Goodwill! But, I figured out that as long as you pair it with something with a high waist it is not that different than a tank top. Although I have a very short torso so it would probably be different for someone taller.

Thrift stores are a great place to get items to try out a trend. If you end up hating it or if the trend goes out and you only got to wear it once you didn't spend very much money- so oh well! And yes, you can find trendy items at the thrift store- my blog is proof!

An 80's throwback outfit here on Thrift and Shout today! I was super excited when I found this skirt at Goodwill! It's vintage Guess and I just love the iconic Guess logo print! It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs letter print fabric that lines many of his bags. I feel like so many people are afraid of 80's and 90's fashion so I hope this outfit shows how it can be done in a modern way!

I got this cute vintage Gap dress recently and couldn't wait to wear it! When I put it on it just felt a little bland. Then I saw this tropical print jacket hanging in my closet and it was just the perfect thing to make this outfit more interesting!

This awesome vintage t-shirt is one of my favorite recent thrift store finds! The challenge with it is that is is a little big and boxy on me so I thought I'd sadly have to pass it along to someone else. Then I thought to cuff the sleeves and give it the old half tuck in and all of the sudden it just worked! When I thrift shop, I am always on the hunt for super unique items and this t totally fits that bill! I love the leather and suede diamonds around the neckline! I echoed that design with these art deco earrings I got at Forever 21!

The challenge with styling this dress was that I didn't want anyone to think I work at a zoo or a state park! I figured out that the key is in the accessories! Adding the scarf, the shoes, and the bracelet with a bit color gave it the look I was going for!

This shirt caught my eye one day as I was browsing through Target. I loved the colors in the plaid and the cute patches. Then I realized I was in the little boys section! Oh well! The size large fit just right!

A little white dress has to be my favorite thing to wear in the spring/summer time! They always look so crisp and cute! They are also the perfect blank canvas for styling an outfit. You can take it in almost any direction! Today I decided to give my LWD a rocker vibe. I love contradictions in fashion! It always creates a nice balance!
