Finally, after years of waiting...Malaysians can now transfer funds from Paypal to Malaysian Bank Account for FREE! YAY!

What an accomplishment.

In a way..I am glad that I had delayed plans to sign up debit card or Singapore Bank Account or e-Trade account in the past..coz that would have cost me even more money.

Anyway..as a benefit to all readers of this blog, u can see the step by step screen shot of how to add and transfer your Paypal funds to Malaysia Bank Account.

Step 1: After logging in to your paypal acct, click withdraw. You will see the following screen:

Step 2: Click on withdraw to bank account. You will be brought to another screen to put in your bank info

Step 3: Review your bank account info and save.

Step 4: Then you can just key in the amount to be transferred and click continue. Confirm your bank info..and wait for another 2-3 days for the Paypal funds to be transferred to your Malaysia Bank Account. If you transfer more than RM400, then its free. If less, you will be charged RM3. So remember to strategize the timing and amount withdrawn each time..

So...if you are selling things online..now is a great time to set up your paypal account and accept online payment... This way your online business can truly go global.

But the service quality is not cheap ..believe me.

I was doing some keyword research today, after my cousin was recommending me some potential niches. Then suddenly I stumbled upon a pleasant surprise

Google has delivered a really welcome gift for all of us. Their Google Adwords Free Keyword Tool now features actual search volume.

It used to just show coloured boxes / keyword rating out of 5.

So now since Google has made a change, more accurate search volume is finally available.

I just bought a new domain on last Saturday whilst attending the Blogging Bootcamp.

Found the discount coupon for namecheap at retailmenot.com.

The coupon name - GLOWINGSKY was definitely a great bargain...helped me to pay only $8.41 instead of $9.29..
That 80cents (RM2.60) saved allows me to go back home from office via highway and reach home faster today to get started on my new blog project.

Extremely excited to implement whatever I learnt from the bootcamp, and combine it with the tips I got from Super Affiliate Blogger handbook ...that should help me get back my returns on investment as quickly as possible.

Idea #3 : Set up a blog

Another one of the little known internet business ideas is to start a blog.

How to start?
- set up a free blog at blogger or wordpress
- choose a niche or topic that you want your blog to be about.
- sign up for free google adsense account.
- sign up for some affiliate products to promote (see idea #1)

Once you get it set up, you can make money with it by uploading articles on your niche and then drive traffic to it by writing and submitting one or two articles per day to article directories.

Once you start getting some decent traffic, you can easily sell advertising space to other people and businesses.
Alternatively, you can find a few good affiliate products as outlined at the beginning of this article and write up reviews on them.

So, people can either follow the govt's advice and save (and indirectly suffer)...
or try to make more money to combat the rising prices.

Here are some internet business ideas that is very easy and quick to do, continuing from yesterday's post.

Idea #2 : Sell your unused stuff at home on Ebay

Ebay can be a great and easy way to extra money.

What you need to do?
- Set up a free account at Ebay.
- Look through your basement, garage, closets, and storage units. Look for things you have laying around that you just have no need for. Remember that what is junk to you might just be a treasure to someone else.
- Sort and select items which can be sold off.
- Take pictures of them and transfer it into your computer.
- Upload the pictures together with some description of items & selling price.
- You can choose to sell via auction or fixed price.
- Wait for the sell. if teh item fail to sell, just re-list it.

Making money with an ebay auction is one of those internet business ideas that seems to good to be true but believe me, it works.

I’m just curious...especially for the newbies who are just learning how to build an online business…

Why are you spending your precious limited time in your life in internet business?

To make more money so you can settle your debts?
To make more money so you can travel the world?
To stay in the current trend?
To make money so you can quit your job?
To make more money so you can send your kids to universities abroad?

Would be great if everyone can share their reasons if its not too personal.

As for me, main reason is so that I can buy back my freedom away from the stupid politically bureaucratic company that I’m working for (i.e pay back my study loan), and not have to sacrifice my precious life to the company just because they paid for my university education.

Secondly… so that I can quit my job and be able to work on my online business full time as it give me the mobility to conduct my business anywhere and anytime I wish.

Thirdly, so that I can have the money and luxury to travel whenever I want without having to apply annual leave, and not having to wait for special travel discounts and queuing up at travel fairs for 12 hours just to get discount holiday packages for my family and relatives.

So what’s your reason?

If you have a blogspot blog, you are wasting income opportunity if you don't include adsense into your blog.
This is already in your blog features.

You would need to register an adsense account first, and that can be done here for free!

How to add adsense to your blogger blog?

Step 1: Just click on "layout" , then select "adsense".

Step 2: Once you have registered an adsense account, you can just change the publisher ID in blogger to your adsense ID (by logging in to ur adsense account.

Step 3: Select your ads type and size. just play around with the available options til you are satisfied.

Malaysians can now sign up for Clickbank .
Why Clickbank suddenly included Malaysia in the country list...God knows why!! But what the heck..seize the opportunity whilst it last.

So How To Sign Up with Clickbank ?

Step 1: Go to clickbank website
Step 2: Click on "Sign Up"
Step 3: Select your country. Put in your personal details.
Step 4: Create your nickname (this will appear in all of your clickbank affiliate links in future, so remember to choose one you plan to use for long time). Click Submit.

Step 5: Create your password.
Step 6: Wait for the confirmation code in your email box.
Step 7: Confirm your account by keying-in your confirmation code and password. Submit.
Step 8: DONE!! Congrats...Your account will be confirmed and you will get the screen as below, as well as welcome email from Clickbank.

Step 9: Click on My Account . This is your main Clickbank page, summarising your sales to date.

How to register a business in Malaysia?

Its easy to register a business in Malaysia.
If you are starting up a business, it's worthwhile to set up your company early.

Then your business related expenses such as domain name, hosting, education seminar fees, outsource jobs, travel, entertainment, etc can all be tax deductible against your business income.
If you feel that you are paying too much tax now, setting up a business is one of the solutions.

So, how to register a business in Malaysia?
Don't worry...it's really fast now.
I registered Thrift Solutions at the Companies Commission (SSM) within 1 hour.
Did it at the Shah Alam branch (Plaza Alam Sentral)...so whilst waiting in between, I could walk around the shopping mall.

So what are the steps?

Step 1: Do your research..visit SSM website (note: You may need to explore around to get info... its not really easy n user friendly).
**tips: click on "services" -> "forms". here you'll find info / guide on business registration. You'll also see the forms. Unfortunately, registration can't be done online. So you would have to go to the branches to collect the forms.

Step 2: Identify location of SSM branch which is nearest to you. ( click on Contact Us)

Step 3: Decide what type of business you want to register -> Sole Proprietorship or Partnership. You also have the option to register a Company (Sdn Bhd). However, the cost of registration and meeting regulatory obligations e.g. audit is also higher. So if you are just starting out, consider sole proprietor or partnership.

Step 4: Think of at least 2 potential names. (lets assume you are not using your personal name as business name)

Step 5: Take along 1 photocopy of your Identification Card (and your partner's if registering partnerhip) & RM70 (for the registration fees)

Step 6: Go to your nearest SSM branch. Collect the form to register proposed business name. Fill in and submit. The SSM staff will do a check to ensure your selected name has not been taken by anyone else. The waiting time is about 15-20 minutes.

Step 7: Once your business name is approved, go and collect the Business Registration Form.
(at the time i registered my business, the staff at SSM info desk was adamant that you can't collect this form til business name is approved)

Step 8: Submit your form and pay the registration fee. Now you'll have about 20-30 minutes to wait for them to finalise the registration and print out your business certificate. So you can take the time to explore around.

Step 9: Collect your biz cert once your name is called. Congrats..now you have an officially registered business.

Start collecting all your receipts for next year's tax filing. Remember to keep records of your expenses and income each month.
