THRILLED MIND

Looking for new doors, if not, a window

2014-02-18T15:52:00.000-08:00

Thinking in a very conceptual way about doors, they represent new opportunities in life and sometimes when we found ourselves lost in the road a window is good enough. I confess, I have a thing for doors, the real ones, special love for front doors, they have in me this notion of a new opportunity for the unknown, and at the same time is the sometimes familiar feeling of that is home and there you are safe.

I’m now looking for a door to pass through, if not, I will be satisfied with a window, a simple one, no tricks, it opens, I pass and go on with my life.

The lightness of being

2013-10-29T19:29:00.002-07:00

Once a read "The unbearable lightness of being" from Milan Kundera, went right away for my most favorite books of all time. Is not so much about how to be light or whatever you may think, is about how unforgiving it is this lightness we fell when we are being ourselves.
But, actually wasn't about that what I was thinking now and was sharing here. I want to talk about the actual lightness of being, or living, better saying. We go through so much every day, and sometimes this moment of our lives seems like the worst of ever, probably is not. I found my self now enjoying more the life I have, and enjoying even those bad moments, because are those that give the proper importance to all the good ones, is the distance that gives importance to be close...

Le Pantone: Black

2012-11-21T14:17:00.000-08:00

By any means, black is always that color (actually is not considered a color) we use during the Autoum and Winter the most, so this a ode to all that black we love! And I swear by the sword that I use a lot of color during this time too, but I can't resist to a black coat, black botties and of course a little black dress, that one I can't resist the all year! And to go along, this music from Black Sabbath, timeless, like the LBD!

That's all i have to say. In a way is what I fell, and it's not about a love crush, it's about life, nobody can break you, unless you let.

Red Boots

2012-11-14T13:24:00.000-08:00

I bought a new pair of red boots, I was feeling the need for some color on my days, so, when I came across these pair, a flat booties in red suede was love at first sight! Of course they came home with me, and then i was thinking what could I wear and not wear with my new babies, because they are red and red is never a easy color to pull of, I was looking into my closet and thinking, actually at some point i end up though that I could wear them with almost anything, just not to many red pieces and some colors that will never look good with red.

My first attempt with them was not so risky, black skinny jeans and a black and white silky tank top, and a dark brown cardigan on top, just to not wear more black, and for today a pair them with a gray skinny jeans, a royal blue top and a burgundy cardigan! Tomorrow they will stay at home, they are quite a statement for so many days in a row, but I'm already dreaming of pairing them with a dark blue mini dress that I have, but for one other day!

Here a let you some inspiration outfits, just to convince you that a pair of red boots are a DO!!

Go Left

2012-10-30T12:02:00.000-07:00

It´s a fact, when life is not going right, please, go left.
Quite your job, change you perspective love more and smile deeply and go left, you will discover a new world that other way you'll never discover, you will discover that you are stronger than you ever think and more creative that you could ever been.
I moved to Amsterdam, all by myself, and now here I'm, still putting life on the tracks, but more happy and full than ever.
In a world that spins faster and faster every day by day we should spin around, I'm spinning! And by the way slipping around the streets of Amsterdam!

Life won't wait for you, take the risk and go after her.

The Skin That You Wear

2012-09-11T17:03:00.000-07:00

I don't know if you like or dislike tattoos, I personally like, and a lot. I don't have any, for now, because I'm always rambling about what should I put in my skin for all of my life, maybe because is the first one, and of course, the cost.. But one of the things I believe determine if this is the right design is, if you think about a particular draw and you like it for so long, even if you have had several ideas, the one that persists, that's the one, go for it!

We Are Just Kids In Love

2012-09-10T07:48:00.000-07:00

Sometimes I found my self thinking about love, and about the way we "should" fell it.. Most of the times we take the must beautiful felling in the world as something so undervalue.. I deeply believe we should fell love like it's the first day we meet!
It's the lightness of felling in love!

Olympic Monkeys

2012-08-14T09:03:00.003-07:00

The Olympic Opening Ceremony was amazing at every second, and a moment that I wasn't expecting was the mind blowing appearance of Arctic Monkeys, playing I bet you look good on the dance floor, and then a cover of the Beatles, Come Together, all accompanied by an amazing performance of flying cyclists and fireworks.
Amazing. How I wish to be there... Even being a big fan of the band, the all ceremony was breath tacking, seeing this was just one more sigh.
If you did't saw, I highly recommend to see, you can see here both performances.

A Cerimónia de Abertura dos Jogos Olimpicos foi incrivel a cada segundo, e um momento que eu não estava a espera foi a estonteante aparição dos Arctic Monkeys, que apresentaram I bet you look good on the dance floor, e depois uma cover dos The Beatles, Come Together, tudo acompanhado por uma espetacular performance de ciclistas voadores e fogo de artificio.
Incrivel. Como eu desejei estar lá. ..

This is a blog that raves about the simple things in life that we forget, and should be remembered. Pallets Of Nice Stuff

2012-08-04T16:36:00.000-07:00

From time to time I find myself looking and admiring some very inspirational reuses of pallets, I specially like the ones used at the walls, some just for purely decoration, others serving as shelvings or whatever you can imagine! At this point I don't have the space at my house for this kind of project, but I'm maturing the idea for a next decorating mood!
For now I let you be inspired for some of this ideas.

I'm The Master of My Fate

2012-07-28T16:00:00.003-07:00

“Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.”

William Ernest Henley, Invictus

This is one of my favorite poems, is so much simple, but give me this felling of sweet lightness, and at the same time of unbreakable strength.

I Can See You From The Inside

2012-06-22T17:53:00.003-07:00

This is one of the must inspiring photography works I ever see... Dan Mountford made it with double exposure in the camera, just for this technic I was completely sold, and then seeing the all work I was in love! The double exposure are well thought to give a message, or to induce same message.
The firs one I present here is the one I like to think is the most similar to my mind, hair and mind in the wind!!
Hope you like it so much as I like it!

You can find more of his amazing job here.

I adore her, her style and her sweet beauty. She looks always so simple but so put together.
I was never a The City girl, but start watching it just because of her! Unfortinely I don't think that The City is good enough.. so I end up just watching a few episodes from the first season, but it's nice to see her there!
And, by the way, her boyfriend is so pretty looking!

Bloom

2012-05-28T06:42:00.000-07:00

The new album from Beach House, Bloom, is just pure gold, I can't stop listening to it in loop. It's like dive in a giant pot of tea and feel calm and exited at the same time. I assure you, you'll love it too.
Myth is one of my favorite songs from the album, was the first one I listen and was love at first sight, the lyric are sublime as usual, but this particular one make so much sense for me at this point of my life. Wish you like it! Enjoy, deeply.

Apreciem, profundamente.

Breathing Slowly

2012-05-27T10:24:00.001-07:00

Some times we just want to feel it... It so much better to have the feeling rather than the words.. Breath in, breath out, feel it.

As vezes queremos apenas sentir.. Inspira, expira, sente.

Breakfast With Yourself

2012-05-24T14:35:00.001-07:00

Don't spend your time saying to yourself you are looking for who you are or you are looking for your inner persona, just create yourself, in the working process you'll know you found it.

Old Eyes

2012-05-18T12:57:00.000-07:00

Today I was reading a news about a old Leica that was sold for a fortune, and it let me imagining and dreaming about my desire of having a collection of old cameras, not just to look at but to use too, because that lost felling of taking a photo and the expectation of what we'll see is so nice, and the way we learn to control the all camera is so much nicer than the new cameras that is so instantaneous that lost the true photography feeling.
I still wishing one day I'll have a lot of them in my possession! And I'll take a lot of photos!

E tirarei imensas fotos!!
