Seven Cooking Show for 2010 My Kitchen Rules not Masterchef Rip Off.

Accomplished chefs Pete Evans and Manu Feidel are teaming up for a new TV series to rival Masterchef. Pete and Manu met ten years ago when one hired the other to work in his restaurant. Evans hired Feidel as head chef at Hugos Bondi Beach in the late 1990’s.

The pair will be judges on the new Seven series “My Kitchen Rules”. Filming for the reality show began in Sydney last week and revolves around teams of two cooking from their own kitchen for a group of ten who will judge their work to find a winning duo.

Evans says that My Kitchen Rules is unique in the competition style and that he would not have done it if it was a rip off of Masterchef.

My Kitchen Rules will air on Seven in 2010.

Twitter TV Scheduling Updates - A Great Idea.

I saw this tweet in twitter today:

CBSTweet: Due to NFL overrun, each show start time on tonights primetime lineup is delayed by about 20 minutes in East and Central time zones.

From American network CBS advising that all programs would be running late due to foot ball overrun. CBS is the US’s top rating network.

This is pure and simple respect for viewers. I wonder if they also update their EPG to reflect the changed times?

You would never see this happening in Australia! Any sport event on channel Nine finishes 30 minutes late anyway. And they never tell the viewers anything - not on screen, not via their EPG, not by any other means.

I think this tweet from CBS is the perfect example of how the networks can keep their viewers informed. In Australia, they tend to remain too secretive and expect viewers perhaps just to accept what ever is on.

Bad News For ER Fans.

Bad news for ER fans.

It is starting to look like ER is on shaky ground to remain at its 10.30pm Thursday night time slot on Nine.

This Thursday - Nov 12 - ER is pushed back to 11pm as Nine airs a 90 minute special from 9.30 called Fergie: The Duchess on a Mission.

The Duchess of York, who has been attacked in the past by the media because of her weight, moves to a council estate to help an overweight, chain smoking family adopt a healthier lifestyle on only 80 pounds a week.

Next Thursday - Nov 19 - ER is not on due to Nine’s CSI triple cross over night which sees all three CSI franchises air one after the other. This is despite the fact that episodes of both the Miami and New York CSI are will not even be up to date by them as neither of the two currently air. Only the Las Vegas version of CSI is fast tracked. The three CSI’s play out from 8.30pm Thursday Nov 19.

Chk Chk Boom For Nine in 2010

Clare Werbeloff - better known to most as the “Chk Chk Boom Girl” after her comments on TV news at a crime scene earlier this year is to host a new show for the Nine network called Scammers.

Scammers, based on a UK format, warms people of some of the scams or confidence tricks doing the rounds. The show will air in 2010 on Nine.

Clare has knocked back a political run funded by men’s magazine ZOO in favour of the post on television. She would have ran for the seat of Bradfield vacated by Dr. Brendan Nelson.

The Nine network signed Clare up after the “Chk Chk Boom” incident even having her appear “exclusively” on A Current Affair. “Chk Chk Boom” became so well known, that the phrase was even mentioned in Australian parliament during question time.
