A fairly new “Ride Spot” has recently emerged here in the So Cal area & it comes with a very different look & feel. This place is known as the “The Yard” because of its urban type setting. The location came about after a friend of Vinnie Carbone offered him an opportunity  he couldn’t refuse. His buddy Rick, or better known as “Animal,”  offered to let Vinnie use his property as a Private Training Facility for Freestyle Motocross. The Yard sits along side the 15 FWY and comes fully equipped with onsite power, water truck & tractor . All that was needed was some dirt to be hauled in & some cash to pay for it. Vinnie made some phone calls & got in touch with Javier Villegas, Libor Podmol & Dereck Beckering about having this opportunity to create a new place & train. Between Animal, Vinnie, Javier & Libor they came together on finances to haul in the dirt. Within a short amount of time they built their landing, Vinnie brought in some ramps & their training facility became ready to use. From that point on the The Yard became a reality. If you ever happen to catch yourself traveling upon the 15 Freeway in the So Cal area, keep an eye out & you might just see these guys training on their dirt bikes for anyone & everyone to see. Employees from neighboring businesses will usually come by during their breaks to check out the action from their side of the chain link fence. FWY traffic is always slowing down to see some mind-blowing tricks. The setting of this location is completely different from all of the common ranches, wineries & land parcels. FmX has definitely gone URBAN in this case & the setting for this spot speaks for itself, You’re definitely not in Wine Country anymore!

The race is being held again in the memory of endurance racer Mark Hahn who wa…s instrumental in providing the momentum to keep endurance racing going strong and growing across the country before his untimely death during a PWC race in 2004. The “Team” format features two riders for runabout (sit down) boat teams and up to three riders for a stand-up craft. Solo riders are also welcome to “Ironman” the race on either style of boat, a real test of endurance and stamina reserved for only the true endurance zealots. The 2011 event was the second PWC event to use transponders in the United States and it was well received and help to increase the professionalism of this national event. Transponders will be used in the 2012 event as well.

The Blingstar MAXC Series was created by fellow racers who recognized the needs of the racers and riders. Blingstar MAXC will respect the pro classes as

professional paid classes, but also plans on respecting the first year rider classes no differently. We will provide an incentive for the racers to move up in class. Our

series was set forth to continue the use of private land races and rides. We also understand that in order to continue using private owner’s land we must respect it.

Our goals and values are to create a series that holds high standards for both the land we are riding on and the racers participating in this series. We intend to give

back to the people who work hard every week so they can go racing or riding on the weekend. We also intend to promote this series as a family sport and provide a

family atmosphere for our supporters. We have become associated with the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) to provide our members with the most informed

association in this style of Motorsports. AMA spends a lot of time and financing on land preservation and the rights of motorcycle and ATV riders.

Blingstar MAXC will support a ten (10) race schedule for the 2012 season. We will have a point’s championship for all individual classes. This will be cash and

contingency point’s fund, from the pro classes down to the mini classes. Blingstar MAXC plans on supporting every class and will work to make this a very exciting

series for everyone.
