Just unleash all that negative thoughts and ideas I have in my head.

And truthfully it's liberating. I mean sometimes we just have to embrace the dark side of ourselves. Let it go. Let it free.

It's more therapeutic than a rootbeer float on a lazy Sunday afternoon with a loved one

Really, it is.

Anyway, this won't be a full blown blog post kinda thing. It's more just random thoughts and snippets that may go thru my head. I mean, Facebook already has it with the status updates but I kind of feel uneasy with it given the number of friends I have there who get to see the kind of things that go through my head. So ironic as it sounds, I feel more private doing it in a public blog.

I can be brash, impolite or even downright mean here but hey, we have to unleash that puppy someday, right?

Let's see how far this rabbit hole goes.

I can honestly say that.

But I also keep saying that I'm arrogant and resilient. It's a bad combination. A real bad combination.

Everyday, I keep thinking it's the day I rise out of the muck. And it isn't. Actually it's the opposite. Each day, I sink an inch or two deeper into this craphole I'm in.

And now I need help. I really need help. Thing is, I don't have anyone to turn to anymore. Not one. Well, not because no one would want to help, but I've already exhausted all the help I can get. And still nothing is happening.

I'm literally a beggar now.

I've even looked thru my stuff that I can sell for a bit of cash. I'm not really a materialistic person. But the few things that I have are dear to me and it does hurt that I may have to part with some. But then again, they're not worth much monetarily rather than sentimentally. And that hurts more.

But then again, I'm arrogant and resilient.

The other day, I had a chance to make a bit of cash but I just didn't have any money to leave the house. It was that pitiful. And now, the guy will be out for two weeks.

I never want to be a burden to anyone. Specially to those I love. So whenever I'm asked how I am, all I say is that "I'm fine". Hard to say those words when things are real bleak and dark on my end. But it's all for the best, I always say.

But like Griffin, I think I'm falling into that deep depression where the only light I see could just be a figment of my imagination.

This probably is my cry for help. To no one. No one knows this blog anyway. hehehe. Maybe it's my get real moment. I still won't give up hope. But it's hard to say that on an empty stomach. But like I said, I'm arrogant and resilient.

Oh well, let's see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully I just die. Believe me, with what I'm going thru, that's a step up.

I haven't used that word in such a long time.

It's the kind of word you use when the pain is so severe, so sharp, so stabbing that it just numbs you all over. I was just served the fine dining of pain.

Beg. I haven't begged for anything as far as I can remember.

But last night, i was grovelling in it. It was just oozing out of my body. I begged like there was tomorrow.

Defeated. Now let's face it, who would want to be in the losing side?

Well, now I feel so defeated. It's as if someone pushed me out of a plane and tossed a parachute at me five minutes later.

It's hard when all three words are a part of what I went thru. I swear, those butterflies in my tummy just went a fluttering up my chest. Each breath i take makes me feel hollow and vacant inside.

Getting up after a fall is easy.

Finding a reason to get up takes time.

But i'm getting there. After a few weeks, everything has turned back to normal.

Or so it seems.

Well, personally, I have left the world of liquor, alcohol (ummm... that's the same as liquor, right?), bars and clubs, and the night life. I am now in the world of healthy drinks, fruits, and upper management.

Anyway, what I planned as a weekly blog for more personal things kind of hit an obstacle. This doesn't mean I'm going to leave this to the blog graveyard. Once things have normalized, I'll be back to posting weekly things over here.

Can't wait to blog about the changes taking place around me. Work schedules, attitudes, new personalities and other stuff. I have always planned this blog to be more of a diary and a repository (I always have wanted to use that word) of my thoughts and opinions. More of like the editorial page rather than a comic strip page.

What's been keeping me busy? Well, I've been looking for a laptop computer that will fit my budget. Alas! All I can find are those Celeron M ones. I would like to keep it branded (HP Compaq Nc6120? IBM ThinkPad R51e?) and not go for those locally made stuff (Neo 550GL, X-Mobile DL7100 Sonoma System...).

Also, since I had to turn in my car, just like the notebook computer, I'm also in search for a vehicle to fit my budget. Seems I'm eyeing this 2001 Honda City. Well, let's see where this goes. I mean, waiting two hours for a cab last night just upped my need to have mobility in my system.

Funny thing is, I don't really need these two to get me into that productivity level that I want to be in. It's just that they have become distractions and (gasp!) and excuses for me to hold back myself a bit.

So, until I get my bearings level, I'll leave you with this thought that have guided me throughout the years:

Don't chew while the bus is in motion...

But he told the Inquirer that he was merely the game show’s host.

Ok... let me get this straight, yesterday Willie was all torn up blaming himself for the tragedy. Everyone came to his side and told him it wasn't his fault.

Now that there might be a case he's saying that he's just a host?

Dude, he should have gotten a lawyer from day one. I mean just for advise or something...

ADDITIONAL

This one from the ABS-CBN Website:

Willie even related how he and his staff painstakingly prepared for the anniversary. “Very hands on po ako sa show, pati stage pinakialaman ko kasi concerned ako sa mga nanay na sumasali at umaakyat sa stage. Kasi pamilya ang bawat bisita. Six months naming plinano at pinagisipan ang anniversary na to. Dahil para sa amin sila ang bida, sila ang magcecelebrate.... [I'm very hands on when it comes to the show (Wowowee). I even monitor the progress of the stage since mothers who join the contest has to climb up. I treat them all as family. We planned this anniversary for six months. Because they (the contestants) are the stars of the show, they are the ones who celebrate...]"

Well, so much for six months of planning.

I find it a bit too contradicting to his "I am just merely the game show host" statement. I pity Willie. He doesn't know whether to distance himself from the mess or embrace it. He's caught between upholding his image as a person who truly cares for the poor or just a game show host who gets paid for doing what he's doing. Maybe he should realistically look at the situation. It's really hard if you start believing your own press.

One thing that's been wracking my mind is the other station. They have a similar contest. The prize is the same. But how come I don't hear people praising them as helping the poor as loudly as Wowowee? I mean, they're the top noon show and all. Maybe they need more marketing people...

Or maybe they're just a game show giving away one million pesos...

The C at's right. It all boils down to ad revenue. You can't disguise profit as a charitable practice. It's either you're giving it away freely or you're profiting from giving things away. I remember the show Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko (I love my brethren). Now that's a charity show. Everyday at three pm on channel 7, my grandfather would watch that show. Since we only had one tv set then, I would once in awhile watch with him. I'm not sure now but I think it's still on air. The show is cut and dry, interview people in need and see if they can help thru medical or financial assistance. They didn't have to guess where the winning box, bag, or whatever is. No dancing girls in the background. They didn't have to dance or sing or make a fool of themselves on TV. There was no hulabaloo about it. It's that simple. And it's called CHARITY.

Until now, I remember Rosa Rosal, Orly Mercado and Doctors Picache and Talusan. That show propelled Orly to the Senate, instilled Rosa with countless honors and as for Doctors Talusan and Picache? I don't know.

Maybe they were part of the shortlist of Envoys for the Department of Tourism...

And his goal to sell more socks, sardines, cock fighting medicine and to properly say the word "conflagration".

Well, Manny Pacquiao is back in the Philippines. Pacquiao beat Erik Morales in a non-title super-featherweight fight boxing match in Las Vegas last January 21. The Filipino boxer is the toast of the town. He has virtually invites to every event in the country.

What is not well known is that Manny Pacquiao squelched the rumored coup d' etat here in the Philippines.

You see, everytime there is a rumored coup here by the military or by whoever, chances are, there is one a few weeks later. The strategy is basically one of surprise and misdirection. First is to surprise the nation with a rumor of the coup (aided by the all too paranoid government). And when everyone thinks it's just gossip, spring into action and actually mount a coup. Then everyone is surprised. No one really knows what happens after a coup since even the coup plotters don't know what to do or how to bring it to it's fruition. It's like watching a basketball game and everyone leaves at half time.

This should not be confused with our Edsa Revolutions. That's just one big party with lots of singing, dancing, and a veiled threat of violence (and that's on both sides). That has run it's course when everyone got it that no one will sponsor portable toilets during the whole event. So by the third day, everyone is so pissed (pardon the pun) that they will march down to Malacanang and raid all the toilets there.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao and how he stopped the coup.

Well, it seems that on January 20, these coup plotters had a secret meeting to plan out their plan of attack. First on their list is to take over television ABS-CBN and the mother of all malls, SM Megamall. What better to hinder communications, and halting the economy in one swift move? I mean two, two swift moves.

The raid was to be scheduled on the 21st of January at 12 noon. No one will expect a Sunday coup. Come to think of it, I think it's in the Philippine coup rulebook that no coups will be launched on a Sunday to give everybody a rest. It's like those peace truce with the war against communist insurgents during Christmas. It seems no one is aware that in communism, there is no Christmas. Oops... I'm digressing.

Everyone woke up at five a.m and started preparations. Some started polishing shoes, some cleaned their guns, and some even sent text messages (SMS) to people to just stay home. Oh yeah, some also started updating their Friendster accounts and added video to their profile. Most of them uploaded Bon Jovi videos, if you want to know.

It was ok until some stupid moron turned on the television.

And there it was, the boxing match.

Of course, it wasn't the Pacquiao fight yet. But the suspense and the buildup was so strong that they were glued to the set. They were all so mesmerized that a soldier mistakenly uploaded the latest Madonna video and was outed to be really gay since he started swaying his hips not so discreetly to the tune. The Clarins For Men Camo Makeup didn't help.

Everything was a mess from there. To make a long story short, the coup didn't happen. Everyone forgot their grievances towards the Philippine government. When Morales went down and didn't get back up, the jubilation across the nation was overwhelming. Husbands hugged their wives. Hospital patients miraculously recovered. Mental patients suddenly realized they were working as government officials. Even those Oreo cookies(brown on the outside, white on the inside)in the U.S. rejoiced and remembered they can speak tagalog and fluently too. Priests made sermons that God beat up Morales because He was a Filipino at heart and a violent One at that. Donation baskets that time filled up to the brim.

And there it was, the unity that these coup leaders were asking for. It wasn't thru guns. It wasn't thru bombs. It was thru boxing gloves. One man's fight with a Mexican in Las Vegas. For a brief moment everyone was united as a nation.

Of course, the feeling was shortlived. The moment First Gentleman (first? So who's the second? Shouldn't it be the Only Gentleman? Ok, scratch that, the Only Man?) Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo came on the screen. It was back to reality for everyone.

Even the image of Pacquiao's mother in the province congratulating his son didn't help. It was Mike Arroyo who should be in the province and his mother in Las Vegas! Then government in it's long years of governing had the one and only great idea they will ever have. Bring back Pacquiao asap so everyone will forget First Gentleman Arroyo on screen. Oh and be sure Mr. Arroyo isn't in the picture. But make sure mom and wife are.

And with that, the coup plotters has postponed their plans. They sent out Yahoo messages, Friendster bulletins and texts to their comrades basically saying that the next coup will be held on March 28. Because March 28 is starting to look like a very boring day.

Of course, the rumors are starting again...

Splat! Blog!

Yup, my second blog. Looking aound and posting links can get tiresome sometimes. Well, this one would be different from my main blog.

Think of this as the non-commercial version of World Famous in the Philippines. I mean, yes, there will also be google adsense here but the content on this blog is completely different.

This blog is where I'll be practicing my funny skills and writing skills. Ok, ok, so I may not be funny all the time, nor am I be funny most of the time but I can try and write funny, can't I?

But don't worry. It won't be that kind of blog where I tell you what's been happening in my life. Well, not exactly like that but I'll try (the operative word here is try) not to fall down that trap. I'm pretty much grounded to know that no one really cares about other blogger's life.

That being said (I always want to say that, makes me sound smart), this blog would be more about the goings on around me and may include some of my experiences. I really don't know how often I'll be updating this but I'm seeing more of a weekly post for this. I mean, as most regular visitors to my main blog (yeah I mean the four of you sickos), I usually just do pithy comments. With this one, it's less or no links and more of me. That could be good or bad depending on which side of the circle your standing on(that's the inside or the outside).

So, here's hoping that this one stays afloat and don't go drifting in the... man! My first post and I'm already rambling...
