Let's continue my story of interviewing Wong Fu Productions during their visit to Malaysia for Mini Symposium+Wong Fu 4 Lyfe event. Read my first post before continue reading this one as they are continuous =)

XinXian was in blue for Philip while Lainey was wearing grey for Wesley (secret revealed) and no I didn't wear blue for Phil as I just pick a checker shirt among all other colors I have. Hahaha!

These tickets include your door fee as well, so please do not purchase a standard ticket AND a meet and greet ticket. Woke up in the morning saw friends tweeting that we lost another talented singer in this music industry - Whitney Houston. On February 11, 2012, Houston died of unknown causes in Beverly Hills, California. She was staying at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in town for the 54th Grammy Awards the next day.

My condolence to Whitney Houston's family and may her rest in peace! To pay tribute to Whitney, here's some of Whitney Houston legendary songs along her whole music journey.

Since it's weekend I am gonna share with you all one of my favourite music artist. Birdy has a unique voice that I can remember and it just sounds nice. Consider same genre with some of Yuna & Zee Avi's songs?

Just recently, Birdy's new video for 1901 is now out! It was filmed in London on Brick Lane and in a wonderful guitar shop called Hanks. The emotional video plays out the story of a couple experiencing trouble with their relationship.

In first few months/years, usually a couple is as sweet as this hugging each other while sleeping

After years, couple decided to just sleep like this without hugging/cuddle.

When time passed, sometimes they have doubt about each other.

If you've reach this stage, what would you do? Will you still preserve your love? How?

This is actually a common thing that happens between couple and I guess for couple who has been together for so long, must remember to re-ignite the "love fire" that you used to like and appreciate. Or else, each other will eventually take things for granted and ends up break up because of feeling bored.

Valentine's day is coming soon, some loving couple will give each other a special gift(yeah I am still planning nyahaha) but some will break up (according to a survey result that I've seen). Well, I hope you are the one giving each other a surprise, no matter what present you give, that's thought that count =)

Birdy - A girl with voice that have soul

"English singer/pianist Jasmine van den Bogaerde, who goes by the stage name “Birdy,” was born in 1996 in Lymington, Hampshire. What is it that makes period dramas appeal to the audience as big productions just like ntv7’s first blockbuster period drama, Age Of Glory, which garnered explosive ratings in the past? The answer lies within the strong line-up of cast that is coupled with a dramatic plot and major efforts made into customising sets, make-up, hairdos, costumes, and dialogues. With a high benchmark set by its predecessors including Golden Awards 2010 Best Drama Series, The Iron Lady, ntv7’s latest period drama – The Descendant 香火 – which will air beginning 9th February, every Monday to Thursday at 10 p.m., takes no easy approach in its production.

Infused with new, groundbreaking elements, The Descendant makes history with the strongest pairing of cast ever in a local Chinese drama series with both award winning actresses, Yeo Yann Yann (Golden Awards 2010 Best Actress) and Debbie Goh (Golden Awards 2010 Most Popular Actress), taking the leading roles in this epic series. Joining them are Steve Yap, Frederick Lee, Leslie Chai, Brenda Chiah, Kyo Chen, Tan Hau Yen, and Ernest Chong (Golden Awards 2010 Best Supporting Actor).

Shot in various locations including Penang, Klang, and Kuala Lumpur, the 30-episode drama series spans from the 1920s – 1960s. Setting against the backdrop of the incense-making industry, the drama revolves around the conflicts of three generations of a large family.

The Descendant Synopsis:
A teacher in the rural area, Chen Yu Lin (starring Steve Yap) is forced to return to his homeland and is destined to marry Shen Dan Fang (starring Yeo Yann Yann) to inherit the family business after the merger of both families’ incense-making business. For the sake of his family business, Yu Lin has made an agreement with his father-in-law so that the first son that he bore with Dan Fang would be given her surname in order to ensure the Shen bloodline.

On the day of the wedding, Yu Lin is shocked to realise that his lover from the rural area, Shen Yu Hua (starring Debbie Goh), is none other than his wife’s younger sister. Unable to accept the fact, Yu Hua and Yu Lin could only bury their emotions deep down.

An ill-fated Yu Hua has been deemed as a jinx since her birth and has been entrusted by her father into the hands of her nanny. Dan Fang takes pity in her sister and begs her father to let Yu Hua come home. However, having met each other daily, Yu Hua and Yu Lin could hardly contain their feelings and commit adultery eventually. Angered by it, the father of Dan Fang and Yu Hua becomes seriously ill and subsequently passes away. Blaming Yu Hua for the death of their father and for the damage done to her marriage, Dan Fang drives her sister away from home. Yu Lin becomes remorseful for his actions and tries to numb himself with work.

While Yu Lin and Dan Fang deal with their marriage problems, their enemy, Jin De Tang challenges them to an incense contest, and manages to steal the “Best Incense” title from Yu Lin. A guilt-stricken Yu Lin could hardly eat or sleep, and end up dying in despair. On the day of Yu Lin’s funeral, Yu Hua returns home, and when a devastated Dan Fang learns that Yu Hua is pregnant with Yu Lin’s child, she locks her up in their house.

Dan Fang at first wishes to kill Yu Hua’s child, but after being dissuaded by her mother-in-law, she promises to let Yu Hua gives birth to the child. Nevertheless, the baby dies in childbirth and this devastates Yu Hua gravely.

Eight years later, thinking that her own karma has killed the child, Yu Hua has been faithfully dedicating her time in praying. Dan Fang has now become the owner of the family’s business after the passing of her husband. Her children are already grown up and married: the eldest son, Shen Siang Hai (starring Leslie Chai) has gained the trust of the mother and is set to take over the family business, but Dan Fang’s eldest daughter, Chen Shan Shu (starring Brenda Chiah) and youngest son, Chen Siang Yang (starring Kyo Chen), are upset by it and try many times to usurp power. Siang Yang’s brother-in-law, Wen Shang Qin (starring Ernest Chong) also gangs up with Shan Shu and Siang Yang to go against the poor Siang Hai.

Meanwhile, a kind-hearted Siang Hai takes in an orphan, Gou Zhai (starring Tan Hau Yen). Impressed by his intelligence, he gets the boy to work for him. Dan Fang grows to like Gou Zhai and stubbornly wishes to make him her godson despite protests from her children. On the day of making him her godson, the loyal housekeeper, Chen Gui (starring Frederick Lee) who harbours feelings for Yu Hua, informs her of Gou Zhai’s identity. Knowing that Dan Fang still has hatred against her, Yu Hua refrains from acknowledging the boy as her son. Nevertheless, Siang Hai later perishes in the fire while trying to save Gou Zhai, and his parentage is thus exposed.

Dan Fang is shocked to learn that Gou Zhai is Yu Hua’s son, and her attitude towards him changes greatly since. Yu Hua sees her son being tortured and abused, and begins to hold a grudge against Dan Fang. To protect Gou Zhai, she resorts to ruthless measures in harming Dan Fang and her children in her attempt to make him the new towkay.

In her speech at the press conference today, Lai Cheah Yee, Manager (Brand Management Group) of ntv7 pointed out the uniqueness of this drama series and its significant storyline which is said to be close to the hearts of the Chinese. “The Descendant discusses issues such as superstitions, destinies, feng shui, and even sexist beliefs prevalent in Chinese society,” said Cheah Yee.

“Its Chinese title, ‘Xiang Huo’, literally ‘the burning of incense’, denotes the meaning of ‘descendant’ and ‘heir’, thus reflecting the main premise of the drama about the Chinese conservative thinking on inheritance and bloodline,” she added.

Debbie Goh was sharing her experience while casting and being cruely hit by Yann Yann. After that, Yann Yann bought a massage machine as an apology of being in the drama character too much.

Yeo Yann Yann and Debbie Goh who attended the press conference were seen shedding tears after the preview of the trailer. “When I was watching the trailer, I wasn’t thinking the fact that I played the character but instead I can feel for my character as she went through lots of adversities,” said Yann Yann.

“Debbie and I were emotionally drained out after filming this series. I was so worn-out that I slept so much during my holiday after that. It was really an experience!” added Yann Yann.

One may assume that a huge production as this will require expertise from other countries. The Descendant however, is an entirely local production from screenplay, screenwriter, to director and actors. Meanwhile, the local Chinese drama series which air during primetime on ntv7, has continuously recorded high ratings for year 2011. “We are very encouraged by the numbers and we look forward to more quality local productions and what better way to honour the most gifted and skilled talents in the Malaysian Chinese TV industry and at the same time, bring the industry to higher standards and recognition from its regional and worldwide peers with the upcoming Golden Awards which will be held for the second time after its inaugural in 2010,” said Cheah Yee.

Here's some questions and responses recorded during the interview with Wesley and Philip from Wong Fu Productions. They've tried Chicken Rice and Satay thought they arrived in Malaysia less than 24 hours, and this is what keep Wesley motivated. You must watch this video if you are a future film-maker/YouTuber who want to be success. Basically their advises to film-makers is to continue provide quality content and learn how to market yourself/video.

"If you wanna be famous very fast, just do something stupid", that's what Philip said.

"Don't expect overnight success", that's what Wesley said.

There's another session of private interview for media so please stay tune for my next post!

Wong Fu Productions has been trying their best to give what their fans/audience like. Now they are trying to find a balance by juggling between create more quality contents and meet the Wong Fu Fans around the world at the same time. Wong Fu did say that they will keep expanding and hopefully can "fulfill" both at the same time.

Uncle Chen, a coffee shop owner in the town faces many hardships caused by the local triad. His nephew, Jie tries to help by fighting off the triad but ends up causing more problems. Jie's actions soon bring the wrath of the triad and drag the whole town into turmoil. Moreover, Uncle Chen’s daughter, Lily is on the triad side and their relationship is badly affected when the confrontation between the triad and the townspeople reach its peak.

《龙拳》是一部黑社会动作喜剧，故事是述说一个由黑社会控制的小镇里，一间咖啡厅老板陈叔叔面对着当地黑社会给他造成的麻烦。陈叔叔的侄儿，阿杰尝试帮陈叔叔解决黑社会所造成的麻烦不过却招惹了更多的问题，因为阿杰的举动招惹了当地黑社会也因此牵扯到了整个城市动乱。此外，陈叔叔的女儿，莉莉也是当地黑社会的一分子也因此严重影响陈叔叔与当地人民和黑社会的对抗。

PS: Sidelined since early October to deal with vocal cord trauma, British singer Adele will return to performing shape at the Feb. 12 Grammy Awards. Whether the artist would be cleared to sing after undergoing November surgery had remained one of the biggest questions heading into the ceremony, to be held at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Yet the Recording Academy put speculation that Adele would sing on the telecast to bed Tuesday morning, announcing that the singer would perform for the first time in nearly five months on the Grammy stage.

"It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all," Adele said in a statement. Adele told The Times she hoped to have future opportunities to win a Grammy.

I've been listening to Adele's Live At Royal Albert Hall Concert CD and she has a really awesome voice to be recorded down and share with more music lover. By watching the Concert DVD you won't feel missed the concert at all =) Adele do have a unique laugh and good at telling jokes hahaha. I wish Adele will able to perform at the upcoming Grammy and of course win Grammy too!

Highly recommend you guys to get this Adele Live @ Royal Albert Hall [DVD+CD] if you like a singer with true talents and sing with emotions. Yes, she made one of her dream came true =)

Today was awesome to have Wong Fu Productions Philip & Wesley in Malaysia sharing their film making experience and of course answer tons of Wong Fu Fans' questions ended with an encouragement shout-out to all film makers not to give up easily when you feel down as three of them are there to support you guys in spirit. Here's a short post. Courtesy of Nuffnang and Inspire.ME I was able to meet Wong Fu Productions' talented Philip Wang and Wesley Chan in the Press Conference held at Fullhouse, Sunway Giza just now. Wish Ted Fu were there too but I guess he was busy checking out the new awkward animals that arrive in office.

It was fun to meet them in person especially when we have the chance to private interview them too and courtesy of them both, I have some Wong Fu giveaway soon!

Thanks to neighbourhood who CNY Bai Tian Gong @ 初九拜天公 as this is the time I can witness many fireworks during midnight. I was watching NTV7 "The Super Match-Makers 媒人帮" then suddenly the fireworks started. Rushed out to the balcony with my DSLR and start snapping some left over.

Their latest self-titled third studio album Evanescence, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2011.

Evanescence was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. After recording private albums, the band released their first full-length album, Fallen, on Wind-up Records in 2003. Fallen sold more than 17 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy Awards.

Evanescence's major label debut single "Bring Me to Life", featuring guest vocals from Paul McCoy of 12 Stones, was a global hit for the band and reached number 5 on the American Billboard Hot 100 It provided Evanescence with their first UK number-one single,[24] where it stayed for four weeks from June–July 2003. Producer Tan Yin Yin says that this program was able to capture the six men just being themselves. “Initially, all the participants were very image conscious and camera-aware, but as they became accustomed to the setup day in and day out, the awkwardness and façade faded. Multiple cameras were running throughout the production, some in plain sight, others hidden or shot from afar. Various lightweight and portable rigs were constructed to accommodate all possible shooting conditions with inconspicuous setups. Gerrit @ What Men Want

Gerrit is one guy who knows how to play his game, and claims to always get what he wants. He talks the talk and walks the walk. Some may see him as the full-on player with a heart of stone. But then again, What Men Want stands away from creating stereotypes.

Fendi @ What Men Want

Fendi gives us a taste of Mafia-styled confidentiality and lavishness. At times, he might even come across as an overly conceited snob, but also proves himself to be a man with a big heart. Why would a man like him end up joining a reality show? To break away from his mould perhaps.

Narmi @ What Men Want

Some may insist that romance never leaves the comfort of human feelings and emotions. Singer-songwriter Narmi is out to prove this. Ever enjoying the emotional rollercoaster of being in love, he would do nothing less than to make his girl the star of his fairytale. Despite facing heartaches and rejections, his perception of love has yet to change. Away from his devotion to the female species, he shows to be nothing less than a good friend.

Kit @ What Men Want

Kit lives by the motivation that nothing comes before his mother. The filial son has his life going turbulence-free. With the support of his mother's thoughtful guidance and the long lasting love of his high school sweetheart, Kit shares his nearly perfect life with the rest of Malaysia.

Ken @ What Men Want

At first sight, Ken comes across as a tough samseng you wouldn't want to mess with. But he is probably the one with a heart as soft as a marshmallow, Ken shows us that men are as sensitive and mellow as women claim themselves to be. Self-appraisal seems to be irrelevant in his daily agenda, but his highly observant nature leaves him with plenty of stories to tell. His unconditional dedication to his time consuming girlfriend sets him apart from the generalised perception of chauvinistic macho men.

Wolfie @ What Men Want

Lastly, Imran or more commonly known as Wolfie is the full-on clown. A very lively, bubbly and sometimes annoying character, his cheeky ways adds the comical ingredient into the group. He is the one guy who doesn't seem to have a distinct purpose in life, he represents those who are facing a transition in life filled with indecision that is muffled by a carefree outlook.

The beautiful Deanna Yusoff hosts the show. Content Supervisor Mai Fernandez and Producer Tan Yin Yin say she was invaluable on shoot.

Courtesy of NTV7, I was one of the person given privileges to watch the premiere of What Men Want before other people does. Overall, I like how phoSumpro manage to record these live stories down without forgetting the artistic angle of capturing motion images. It does looks like a TV Series/movie BUT with real-life stories. All 6 guys do have different characteristics, let's start from the most attractive guy name Gerrit. He looks like a playboy for me and really proud of what he did and that's why fire sparks were ignited when he meet Fendi, a guy who sounds reliable and responsible with everything he do. In WMW Episode 1, it seems like Fendi was trying to make a change in his life.

Talking about Narmi (Imran) a Zee Avi type singer, he said he is a guy who definite love as below "I like the feeling of being hurt(heart) and then when reach the moment of happiness it makes you feel even more being loved". Maybe what Imran means is if there isn't any sadness in your love relationship, you won't be appreciate the happiest moment that happened with your girlfriend? Together with Wolfie, a playful sneaky guy who likes to do something very different to grab your attention. Wolfie looks like having a "secret mission" in WMW along the 3 months and I guess nobody manage to guess what he would do in the next step. A guy who is as complicate as a girl.

Kit, a guy who respect and love his mom very much. In Episode 1 it reveals that he doesn't want his girlfriend to go out and work to earn for money as Kit think it is his responsibility to take care of both mom and his girlfriend. Last but not least, Ken, a super loving guy that would follow almost everything that his girlfriend want him to do. In WMW Episode 1, Ken never complain although her girlfriend was late, he looks like a very good follower among the crowd but Kit doesn't like the situation where he feels Ken was treated like a puppy that serve his master well.

What would happen when 6 different type of guy are gathered to live together for 3 months? Surely you will able to see what men want and what happened when they have different perspective.

There was more in the box of treats than what the fans thought as they were able to catch Happy Family’s main cast gracing the red carpet at the cinema in Mutiara Damansara. Happy Family 哈比全家福 Synopsis:
The story introduces newlywed Yang Cong 杨聪 (William San) and Li Jia Xin 李嘉欣(Wayne Chua) who returns to their hometown in Kajang after a very long time, not knowing that they will be getting into a lot of unfortunate events later. Cong is the middle child in his family, with an elder brother, Yang Yang 杨扬 (Frederick Lee) and his two younger non-identical twins – Yang Guo 杨过(Adrian Tan) and Yang Mei 杨梅 (Lim Jing Miao).

Cong’s relationship with his family is shattered as they would argue over small matters all the time. To Cong, his elder brother, Yang Yang is not aggressive enough and would take a long time to settle small matters. Cong also dislikes both his parents whereby his mother, Lin Lai Jiao 林来娇(Pearlly Chua) would often get herself into trouble when she lends her hand to others, while his stubborn and old fashioned father is regarded as the worst family member to him. His twin siblings on the other hand, would often give him unwanted headache as they are both very different from each other although being twins. The only family member that Cong would miss is his late grandfather (萧裴弘), whom he spent most of his childhood days with.

Meanwhile, as anticipated by Cong, the atmosphere in his house turns out to be awkward the moment he and his wife, Jia Xin steps in. Cong’s mother then tries her best to change the mood by bringing up the family trip they planned for the next day, without Cong and his wife’s knowledge. Upset with his family’s treatment, Cong left and hides in his room.

The angry and tired Cong soon fell asleep and dream of his childhood, where he spent most of his time with his late grandfather in his carpentry workshop behind their house. The place reminds Cong the wish that he had when he was young. He wanted to replace all his family members whom he dislikes.

The next morning of the first day of Chinese New Year, Cong is surprise to see that his family members are still at home and not at the trip that they talked about last night. Little did he know that the family members in front of him are not his real family members but the ones who came out from the family portrait.

His wife, Jia Xin then explains to Cong about how she brought to life the family members from the portrait with the “happy potion” that she accidentally used to wipe the picture. Cong who is still in shock, decides to test them with various ways but fails to prove them as his real family members.

He then quickly finds ways to send them back to the family portrait where they came from but to no avail. He now has to live with the all new family members who had total opposite characters of his real family!

Meanwhile, Cong’s new mother who is bored takes the “happy potion” and wipes it on the other family portrait where her twin “jajabo sisters” (Tiang Kah Chee and Aenie Wong) – from the 70s are brought to life. Cong and his wife’s misery is doubled later with more visitors from their neighbourhood like the Wan siblings – Wan Ren Mi (Leslie Chai) and Wan Jin You (Yeo Yann Yann, Golden Awards Best Actress 2010), who has a crush on Yang Yang. Cong’s rich and nosy cousins – Fu Gui (Debbie Goh, Golden Awards Most Popular Actress 2010) and Fu Hao (Kyo Chen) also make an appearance later in the show.

Cong who had enough of the mess created by his new family members decides to “send” them back to the family portrait. As he was carrying out his plan, Cong accidentally breaks the photo frame. Cong and Xin is now forced to continue to stay under one roof with their new family and begin developing strong feelings for them soon after. Cong and Xin later worried about explaining the situation to the real family members when they are back the day after. Meanwhile, yet another surprise unfold with the new family members disappearing.

Cong then tries to look for the “happy potion” to bring them back but to his disappointment, it has all been used up. He then seeks solitary in the carpentry workshop behind his house. He fell asleep and dream of his late grandfather again. Will his relationship with his real family members change for good? Will he ever meet back his new family members?

Actress Wayne Chua who plays Li Jia Xin in the telemovie said that the process of filming this movie was very much a group effort that required many rehearsals. “As many of us were unfamiliar with filming ensemble scenes, we needed many rehearsals before the actual filming of the scenes. This was definitely not a one-man show, “she said.

William San agreed and added that there are many touching scenes in this telemovie that will make you reflect. “There are so many touching family scenes; so much so that some Malaysians might find it awkward when watching with their families because of our culture to not verbally express our feelings and love towards our family members,” he said.

However, he added that Happy Family would be a very good family-movie choice for the whole household on the Lunar New Year. It wasn’t only William who felt that way but the entire cast when some are spotted shedding tears after the screening of the telemovie including the bubbly, Lim Jing Miao. “Happy Family is such a precious movie and it has reminded me to spend my time with my family this Chinese New Year as I’ve never gone home for the past few years during this big celebration.

Happy Family is a comedy that suitable for everyone especially family to watch. A picture means a thousand words. The casting and production crew manage to enhance the importance of taking group family photos during Chinese New Year.

I will always remember Miao Miao's act in this telemovie for sure. Oh ya, Jake's acting also good too. That funny Thai accent. Haha! Imagine three people riding the same motorcycle. How I wish I can have the "Happy Potion" too =)

"For the first time a Norton study calculates the cost of global cybercrime: US$114 billion annually. Based on the value victims surveyed placed on time lost due to their cybercrime experiences, an additional US$274 billion was lost. With 431 million adult victims globally in the past year and at an annual price of US$388 billion globally based on financial losses and time lost, cybercrime costs the world significantly more than the global black market in marijuana, cocaine and heroin combined (US$288 billion).

According to the Norton Cybercrime Report 2011 more than two thirds of online adults (69 percent) have been a victim of cybercrime in their lifetime. Every second 14 adults become a victim of cybercrime, resulting in more than one million cybercrime victims every day. For the first time, the Norton Cybercrime Report reveals that 10 percent of adults online have experienced cybercrime on their mobile phone. In fact, the Symantec Internet Security Threat Report, Volume 16 reported there were 42 percent more mobile vulnerabilities in 2010 compared to 2009 – a sign that cybercriminals are starting to focus their efforts on the mobile space. The number of reported new mobile operating system vulnerabilities increased, from 115 in 2009 to 163 in 2010. In addition to threats on mobile devices, increased social networking and a lack of protection are likely to be some of the main culprits behind the growing number of cybercrime victims."

Thanks to Norton, I am now using both Norton Internet Security 2012 and Norton Mobile Security on my HTC CHa Cha. So far so good.
