Brady was surgeon-like as he pinpointed precision passes to lead the Pats to a touchdown prior to halftime and Eli Manning played the role of a sharpshooting cowboy, launching perfect long passes to lead the Giants to victory. I'm not going to rehash the entire game, but it came down to one catch not being made, as it did in Super Bowl 42, however, this time it was the offense and Wes Welker not coming down with a first down catch that gave the Giants the last opportunity they needed.

Regarding the Patriots, I believe they were playing house money, as they were a good, not great team and they caught a lot of breaks on their way to the Super Bowl. The defense continued to be a "bend, don't break" unit and the offense had a lack of firepower from the wide receiver position. The key for the Pats will be to reload with young talent towards the secondary and hopefully pick up a receiver that can stretch the field for Tom Brady. Overall, it was a great season, especially since it was a tough beginning with the lockout and the loss of Myra Kraft, so expect the Pats to be back next season.

This truly is the most wonderful time of the year, especially for Boston sports' fans. The Bruins are now the best team in the Eastern Conference, the Patriots have clinched the AFC East for the umpteen time, and the Celtics are back and the season starts on Christmas day!

Beginning with the Bruins, the team has been on fire, led obviously by their stellar defense and goaltending. The difference between last year's team and this year is the improved offense. It isn't that one player stands above all, although Tyler Seguin is the team leader in points, but getting huge contributions from third and fourth line guys such as Rich Peverely, Chris Kelly, Daniel Paille, and Benoit Pouliot. Their contributions take the pressure off the first two lines to score and instead just letting the game come to them.

The Bruins went 12-0-1 in the month of November, which is incredible. They're 19-2-1 since November and are currently on a five game win streak. The Bruins play at home tomorrow (Friday) against the upstart Florida Panthers, who beat the Bruins at home two weeks ago. With all this winning, Bruins tickets have been flying off the shelf, as they are the hottest ticket in town. Combine that with the holiday shopping season and Bruins tickets are impossible to get. With most of January sold, the best time to head to a game would be weekdays because the start of Saturday afternoons drive the market for those games higher than night games.

The Patriots have been ho-hum while continuing their winning ways. After losing consecutive games against Pittsburgh and the New York Giants, the Pats have run off six wins in a row. The worries are still there regarding the defense as the Pats rank last in terms of yards given up, but are 14th in points against per game, which is really all that matters. The Pats take on the Dolphins this week, who have been showing signs of life, although they fired their head coach Tony Sparano, so the Pats need to make sure this isn't a trap game.

Currently, the Patriots are the number one seed and if they win out their remaining schedule they will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, even though we know that home field doesn't guarantee a trip to the Super Bowl as last year illustrated. The last two Patriots games are on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day, not exactly great days to have games. That means tickets are cheap, sometimes going for below face value, so for the best prices on Patriots tickets feel free to check out our website TicketsofBoston.com.

The Celtics are back as the NBA and its players agreed to a new CBA. The Celtics did not make any big deals during the short offseason, in fact, they were the victims of bad luck as forward Jeff Green, whom we received in a trade for Kendrick Perkins, was diagnosed with a cardiac aneurism and is out for the season due to surgery. The Big Three is now a little older so the shortened 66 game season will be wearing on them heavily, especially with three games in consecutive days. Celtics tickets will be easy to obtain this season (besides the Heat and Lakers games) due to the quick turnover of home games and they'll be at good prices trending towards face value.

With that, I wish everyone the happiest Hanukkah and the merriest Christmas, as well as a blessed New Year.

While it was nice to see the banner raising ceremony, the Bruins apparently forgot that last season is over and this season is out to crown a new champion because they only won three games in the month of October, which put them last in the conference.

Their play showed that the Bruins weren't interested in making the crisp pass or playing the stout defense that they are known for. Basically, the Bruins were still nourishing their Stanley Cup hangover.

With the poor play, questions began to surface as to how to spark the players, as we all knew they had the talent and could put it together from time to time to get the big win, as they did over the Blackhawks in Chicago. Maybe a trade or a coach firing? Cam Neely trusted that the coaching brass would be able to put it together and hopefully a new month meant the page would be turned on last season and ugly October.

Since the turn of the month, the Bruins may have found their stride. After averaging 1.9 goals per game in October, the Bruins have won three straight, scoring an average of six goals per game. The biggest catalyst of the turnaround has been Tyler Seguin, who has five points in the three games, including a great hat trick over the Maple Leafs. He is also the Bruins' leading point scorer this season.

Seguin's production has helped ease the pressing by the Bruins' first line of Krejci, Horton and Lucic. In November, both Krejci and Lucic have six points in three games, whereas Horton has three. This line is expected to produce and set the tone for the rest of the forward lines and if they can continue this trend, the Bruins should have no problem climbing back up the standings.

As for Bruins tickets, it's been pretty stale because of their poor play. Many games during the week have been going for well below face value. But, as the Bruins begin to win, demand has increased so while weekday games are the cheapest, weekend games are still priced at or above face value. Be sure to checkout TicketsofBoston.com for all of your Bruins tickets!

When I last wrote, the Red Sox were in midst of losing the biggest September lead ever in baseball history and I predicted that they would pull it out in the end. Well I was wrong obviously, and the aftermath was worse than what anyone expected. Terry Francona was let go as manager, then published reports suggested he was having serious issues in his personal life, which may had affected his managerial performance. Beckett, Lackey and Lester became fried chicken eating and beer guzzling fools in the clubhouse prior and during games. There was complete disarray amongst the players, manager, and management. Fast forward to today, where even Theo Epstein is leaving to become the GM of the Chicago Cubs, hopefully he will succeed in erasing their 103 year old championship drought.

So what's next for the Sox? Ownership has become a pariah among the public that loved Francona. People are not pleased that the fun-loving "Idiots" of 2004 have turned into egotistical and overpaid complainers, and ownership has a lot to do with creating a organization that puts statistics first and team chemistry last. As the teams currently in the playoffs illustrate, it's all about camaraderie and care for one another, not the "25 players, 25 cabs" mentality that exists here. There's no word on who will replace Francona because the Sox first must replace Epstein, and the man do that job will most likely be Epstein's right hand man Ben Cherington.

Now onto a sport where the players work their tails off, hockey! The Boston Bruins opened up their 2011-2012 regular season at home against the Philadelphia Flyers. It was an exciting night because the team brought out the Stanley Cup, the 1972 Stanley Cup team, and then raised the championship banner to the rafters. As for repeating, the Bruins aren't heavy favorites as most of them reside in the Western Conference and experts still love the underachieving Washington Capitals. Most of us fans are worried about the Cup "Hangover", which means that the Bruins will not play as hard or care as much because they are still in celebratory mode and satisfied from winning the Cup in June. They played a solid game against Philly, but they came up short losing 1-0. They're next game against Tampa Bay, they played very well winning 4-1. Over the last two games though, they've played sloppily and have lost both games to subpar teams, Colorado and Carolina.

Obviously it's only been four games, but the Bruins will break out of the funk because of their goaltending and spitfire players such as Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand. I expect the team to get back in shape and eventually take over the division by early November.

Boston Bruins tickets are everywhere and especially cheap during the weekdays, whereas the weekend is a bit more money but not as expensive as they will be come post-holiday season. My advice is to buy them up now because the demand for presents will send the prices skyrocketing on the market. The best place to find Bruins tickets is TicketsofBoston.com, of course, or you can call us at 617-787-2370 where we'll gladly find whatever seat and price your looking for.

The New England Patriots have once again come out the gates strong into the first quarter of the NFL season. The Pats currently sit at 4-1, with big wins over the Dolphins, Chargers, Raiders and Jets, but losing only to the upstart Buffalo Bills who are also 4-1.

The Pats take on the erratic Dallas Cowboys this week at 415PM. You gotta feel for Cowboys QB Tony Romo, one minute he's loved by everyone for playing through a broken rib and leading the team to victory, then the next he's hated for throwing three interceptions and blowing the game against Detroit, and so on. Dallas' main strength will be their pass rush duo of Demarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer so the Pats' tackles better be ready for an aggressive attack. If the Pats protect Brady then they'll win easy, if not then expect the game to be closer because of the Cowboys are very able to score a lot of points. Pats win 31-17.

Not many tickets available for this game, although prices will decrease because the game is very close and there's still a good amount of tickets on the market to suffice a drop. The best priced games will be the KC Monday night game, Indianapolis, Miami and Buffalo, as they are later on in the season when its colder out.

Fast forward to September 27th, how things have changed... The Sox have slowly eroded their lead to a tie with the Rays, with only two games remaining in the season. After an exceptional summer, which they won 53 games and lost only 27 over three months, the Sox have lost 20 of their last 27 games.

The biggest issue has been ineffective starting pitching. Injuries have taken somewhat of a toll, as Buchholz has been out with a stress fracture in his back, Matsuzka's out all season, and Beckett was out a bit because of an ankle. Injuries aside, the team's top three pitchers; Beckett, Lackey, and Lester have pitched quite awful, even against inferior teams. Lester has allowed 16 earned runs in his last three starts, Beckett has allowed 12 in his last two, and ditto for Lackey. Even worst for Lackey, he's getting even more media scrutiny due to his personal life, and he is not adjusting to Boston, even after his second year.

Offensively, the Red Sox bats have been inadequate. Over the month of September, they are averaging five runs per game, which may be skewed due to a couple games in which they scored 18 runs. Their struggles may be due to panicking because of early deficits, which leads to pressing and overexertion to score runs.

Two games left, Bedard on the mound tonight and Lester tomorrow. If they end up in a tie with Tampa, then it's up to Wakefield or Lackey on short rest. Tampa has their aces going in rookie Hellickson and David Price against the Yankees' minor leaguers, because they've already clinched. I want to be optimistic, but I can't. This fall from grace reminds me of the Red Sox, prior to 2004, which they would always lead the division/wild card, then lose it over the last month. My take: Sox win the last two games, Tampa loses tonight because Hellickson can't handle the pressure, wins tomorrow with Price, but too little too late as the Red Sox back into the playoffs.

Red Sox playoff tickets will be trending towards the cheaper side because the demand isn't there for a lackluster team playing in a first round playoff. TicketsofBoston.com already has playoff tickets available, so check out the website for options.

Back to work, no more weekend vacations, the weather will get cooler, and the leaves will eventually change color. Looking back at the summer of 2011, it was a very contentions, if not exciting, summer. It began with the NFL in a lockout, the Red Sox struggling, and the Bruins marching towards their first Stanley Cup in almost 40 years. The NFL ended their lockout, which was highlighted by the embrace of Colts center Jeff Saturday and Pats owner Bob Kraft, who had just lost his wife Myra to cancer. The Red Sox found their stride, although some of the players haven't, and lead most of the summer in first place. Lastly, we all know the Bruins won it all over the Canucks, in an epic seven game series.

As we enter the fall season, the Red Sox look as they will be clinching a spot in the playoffs, whether as the AL East champion or a wild card has yet to be seen because they are still in a tight race against the Yankees, but ahead of everyone in the wild card standings. As the summer progressed, the Sox have been hampered by injuries and slow play by Adrian Gonzalez. Gonzalez participated in the home run derby and it is said that the home run derby will ruin swings. After the derby Gonzalez "struggled" through the end of July, only hitting two home runs, but picking his power up in August, hitting five. After a few good starts, John Lackey has regressed into an unreliable pitcher again, not faring well in his last two starts, allowing the usual five runs per outing. The summer also saw a rash of injuries including Clay Buchholz' back, which still has him out, JD Drew's shoulder has had him out since mid July, Kevin Youkilis missed a couple weeks due to his back, and now Josh Beckett has sprained his ankle pitching in Toronto. Currently, the Sox are 2.5 games behind the Yankees with 21 games left in the season. They are eight games ahead in the wild card. They still have four games remaining against the Rays and three against the Yankees. After this next road trip, Tito Francona will have to figure out whether to rest his players and gear up for the playoffs via the wild card or try to take home field for the AL playoffs (NL has home field because they won the all star game) and beat the Yankees for the AL East crown.

Now that it is September, the tourism is finished and the kids are back to school, which means demand has slowed considerably for the Red Sox. With lower demand, prices will sink at or below face value leading to great savings for you! Check out TicketsofBoston.com for our great selection of Red Sox tickets, including the playoff games too.

At long last the NFL season is here! The season kicks off this Thursday with the champion Green Bay Packers taking on the New Orleans Saints, which should be a great game with quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees slinging it out. It should also be an emotional Sunday on September 11th as the New York Giants head to Washington to face the Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys travel to New York to face the Jets due to the 10th anniversary of the attacks. The Patriots, who just let go cornerback Darius Butler and talented, but lazy safety Brandon Meriweather, will be facing the Miami Dolphins on Monday night with their new look weapon of Reggie Bush. The key will be the Patriots offensive line protecting Brady against the Dolphins' pass rush consisting of Cameron Wake and Jason Taylor. The Dolphins also have a new offensive coordinator so the Pats' linebackers will have to be wary of how they will use Bush out of the backfield, as Miami is known for using unusual offensive tactics to win.

The first four Patriot home games are in very high demand, so I would advise anyone to buy tickets as soon as they can because tickets are flying off the shelves, and prices will only continue to rise. For the lowest prices on Patriots Tickets, be sure to look at our website and find your tickets.

There are still a couple outdoor concerts left this year, Incubus is playing Friday the 9th, prices are below face value, Toby Keith is playing Saturday the 17th, and that seems to be a big show. Big indoor shows this fall, Jay-Z and Kanye West are at the Garden on November 21, ton of shows at the Orpheum, and great comedy shows at the Wilbur.

Well, maybe John Lackey, since he told me to relax because the Sox would be "in first place come mid July". It is now August 16th and the Red Sox are once again tied with the Yankees for first place of the AL East. It's been a see-saw battle with the Red Sox beating the Yankees handily head to head, but struggling against awful teams such as Seattle, whereas the Yankees are beating up of the soft teams and losing to the Sox. With 41 games left, after today's double header, it's going to be one heck of a battle to see who wins the division, along with the all important home field advantage. Out of the final 41 games, 19 are at Fenway, while the Yankees have only 16 left at home, including a three game series against the Sox from 9/25-9/28.

The team seems to be going through spurts of offensive production. While they lead in most offensive categories, the offense has averaged only 5 runs per game over the last nine games, leaving the pitchers helpless if any mistakes are made. Adrian Gonzalez has one home run and fifteen rbi's since the all star break and many people are attributing his struggles due to the home run derby, which causes batters to adjust their swing for power and not timely contact. Jacoby Ellsbury is still raking, hitting a career high 21 home runs and has 75 rbi's. A bright spot has been John Lackey, who has won six of his last seven starts and seems to have left his past troubles behind.

In terms of tickets, the Red Sox have not been selling as expected prior to the season starting. This could be due to the stock market uncertainty, unstable job market, and maybe just too high of a priced ticket. Granted, prices are still very high and demand is creating that marketplace, however, there has been many games during the July and August months that tickets have been selling below face value, which is a rarity considering the Red Sox are a prominent team and Fenway Park is the number one tourist attraction in Boston. I believe the Bruins championship run took a lot of the revenues that were meant for the Red Sox in the summer time, so people are putting off their ticket buying until the Patriots return in September.

Speaking of the Patriots, there was still a lockout when I last wrote in June, but obviously the two parties came together and settled on a ten year CBA, only losing one preseason game. The Pats made some big headline moves during the frantic day of free agency, trading for troubled defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and outspoken wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. The Pats played their first preseason game last Thursday against the Jacksonville Jaguars and while Tom Brady and other starters didn't play, the Patriots' backups played very good as they won 47-12. The Pats play again on Thursday August 18th in Tampa against the young Buccaneers. The home opener against the San Diego Chargers is on September 18 at 4:15PM and Tickets of Boston has a ton of Patriots tickets on sale for that game, as well as every other game, including the final preseason game against the Giants for below face value.

When I last wrote, the Bruins tied the Stanley Cup Finals series 2-2, after two great games at home. They ended up losing the fifth game in Vancouver, only to come back to Boston and win game six in a dominating fashion. Unlike years past (basically pre-2004), Boston was very confident that the Bruins would win game seven in Vancouver. Boston arrived in Vancouver, only to destroy the Canucks by the score of 4-0, Tim Thomas lead the way with the shutout and he also won the Conn Smythe trophy, which goes to the most valuable player in the playoffs. It was extremely exciting to see the Bruins win it all, they were the last Boston team to not win a championship within the last ten years.

The victory parade was Saturday morning, and it was pandemonium. The city expected a million fans to arrive, and estimates stated that there were easily over a million spectators, making it the biggest sports parade in Boston history. The Stanley Cup was also paraded around Boston, making its way through the North End, rooftop parties, and even sighted down Martha's Vineyard this past weekend.

Lastly regarding the Bruins off-season, they ended up picking a fantastic defenseman, via Friday's NHL Draft, named Dougie Hamilton. Hamilton is expected to make a impact in a couple years when the eighteen year old eventually arrives to the NHL. The NHL schedule for the 2011-2012 season was also released and the Bruins open the season against the Philadelphia Flyers on October 6th. Vancouver comes to Boston on January 7th.

Onto the Red Sox, who have gone 16-6 in June so far. Adrian Gonzalez continues to play like he will be the AL MVP, David Ortiz is going through a career resurgence, although it is a contract year thus the better numbers. The only issues as of late are the pitching; John Lackey continues to struggle, even after his DL stint, and continues to debate who is at fault for his poor performance; the media, the team, or his personal life. With his struggles, and the recent better performances of pitcher Andrew Miller, the Sox will have to make a decision on their rotation; stick the $82.5 million dollar man in the bullpen or spot start Miller.

The Sox have begun their road trip to National League ballparks and it hasn't started well. They lost two out of three against the upstart Pittsburgh Pirates, now they are taking on the Philadelphia Phillies, then finishing up against the lowly Houston Astros. The problem that manager Terry Francona faces is what to do with David Ortiz. He's hitting so well, but he's a DH, who can only play first base. Can't play him there though, Gonzalez is there, but Adrian has volunteered to play right field to allow both hot hitters to play. So far, Ortiz has been pinch hitting with limited results.

The Red Sox come home on the July 4th holiday to begin a seven game homestand, and we have plenty of tickets for the whole week, so check out TicketsofBoston.com and choose your seats to go to Fenway!

It looks like my premonition of the Bruins winning in six and Tim Thomas winning the Conn Smythe may come true. It's been a series with a tremendous loss though, Nathan Horton was crushed with a head blow by defenseman Aaron Rome. Horton received a serious concussion and was knocked out of the series, and he could face hurdles returning next season, while Rome was suspended for four games. The check wouldn't of been bad, but Rome caught Horton's head, then Horton bounced off the ice. If Rome shouldered Horton's midsection, then it would of been a legal hit, a bit late, but legal nonetheless, and both players would still be playing.

The first two games were very chippy as the Bruins didn't play their rough style of hockey, trying to match the Canucks skill wise, which they can't. The Canucks also were playing mind games by taunting Patrice Bergeron, biting his fingers, poking Bruins' faces, and taking dives. Although they loss both games, it wasn't that the Bruins were outplayed, just stupid mistakes, which cost them. In game three, Julien brought back enforcer Shawn Thornton, which lit the fire the Bruins needed to get back to playing tough hockey. The Bruins' style of play gives Vancouver fits, because it takes away their freedom to skate, and set up shots. It confuses them which causes turnovers, which the Bruins have taken advantage of, especially Brad Marchand.

So the Bruins go back to Vancouver with the series tied 2-2, and I believe they're going to beat the Canucks there, then they'll come back and win game 6 in Boston to take the Cup.

Well I was correct on one of the items and guess I should eat crow for the other item. The road to the Cup hasn't been too easy. The first round against Montreal was difficult because we were down 2-0, but came back to win in 7 games. Then we swept the Flyers thus exorcising the demons from last year's collapse. Lastly, we fought an extremely tough battle against Tampa Bay that we won in an epic game 7, which almost put me in the ER. The Tampa series is where Julien's system either was going to sink or swim because the Lightning has an absolute dynamic team with great goal scorers that can score from anywhere. The defensive system was up to the task, along with Tim Thomas, although we did have a bad slip up in game 4, where we blew a 3-0 lead and chance to go up 3-1 in the series, but is anything ever that easy. Tonight is the start of the Stanley Cup Finals, where your Boston Bruins, making their first appearance in the finals since they played Mark Messier and the Oilers in 1990, are taking on the Vancouver Canucks, who are making their first appearance since the 1994 final, where they also lost to a Messier led team, the NY Rangers. I believe the Bruins can and will win this series. If the Julien system took them this far, it can defeat Vancouver, it already had earlier this season. I believe the Bruins will win in 6 games and your Conn Smythe Trophy winner will be Tim Thomas, and lastly there will be mayhem in the streets of Boston so Menino and the State Police better be ready because this is a hockey state.

For Bruins tickets, we still have a couple left, but the demand is enormous, so check TicketsofBoston.com for anything you may be interested in.

The Red Sox have picked up the pace, climbing all the way back to first place, only to lose it back to the Yankees last night. David Ortiz hit .342 in May along with 10 home runs, Carl Crawford hit .304 with 15 RBIs, and Adrian Gonzalez was Adrian Gonzalez. Red Sox tickets still have been very cheap for the early season goings so now is still the best time to catch the Sox. Go to the Red Sox tickets page of our site and order your seats today.

The last month and a half have been impressive for a couple of the Boston sports teams, and down right awful for one of them, we'll start with the good...

The Celtics finished the regular season playing sporadic, inconsistent on defense, and slumping offensively. There were worries about the Perkins trade coming back to bite them, since Nenad Krstic was playing terrible and Jeff Green couldn't put it all together off the bench. The C's ended up losing out on the top two seeds of the conference and fell all the way to third, where they took on the upstart New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs. The Knicks made a giant trade by giving away their entire roster of youngsters for Denver Nuggets stars Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. Now with two dynamic scorers in Anthony and Stoudemire, along with a veteran floor general in Billups, the Knicks were winning consistently to close out the season. Because of the opposite ways both teams were heading, critics were not sure that the Celtics were built to make a deep run during the playoffs, and that they could be upset by the sixth seeded Knicks. As many Celtics fans were worried last year because they didn't look great towards the end of the season, they subsided the worries by making it to the finals. This year, they came out firing against New York and swept the Knicks in four games. The first two games were very dramatic as they both came down to the last minute of the game. In game one, Ray Allen hit a three pointer to take the lead with a couple of seconds left. In game two, the Celtics defense swarmed the Knicks and forced a last second turnover. The remaining two games were blowouts, where the Knicks had no chance.

After the Knicks series, the Celtics got to take on the Miami Heat, who are trying to silence all of their critics. This series is especially important to LeBron James, who was accused to quitting during last year's Celtics/Cavaliers playoff series. In game one, the Celtics started off shaky, missing 20 of their first 26 shots. Dwyane Wade had a monster game with 38 points, while the game got a bit chippy, Pierce got thrown out for taunting Wade, and getting a second technical. Expect the Celtics to come back big in tonight's game two in Miami, as the rust from not playing in a week after the Knicks series should be gone. As for the series, I expect the Heat to win out in seven games, although I hope I'm wrong, because if the Celtics win this series, they'll go all the way. Celtics tickets for games 3 and 4 are on sale at the Celtics page of our website TicketsofBoston.com.

Another team having success is the Boston Bruins. They played well as the season ended, winning seven out of the last eleven games. They won the Northeast Division and became the three seed, which they would play the sixth seed, the Montreal Canadiens (would it be any other way?) The series began with the Canadiens taking the first two games in Boston. The Bruins played so bad, it was disgusting, it looked like they couldn't keep up with the speedy Canadiens, and the series was destined for a Montreal sweep. When the Bruins left Boston, they made a stop to practice at Lake Placid, NY, where the 1980 USA team beat the Soviet Union for the "Miracle on Ice". It must of inspired the team, because they won the next two games in Montreal, and took a third one back in Boston. While the officiating was a major sorespot for Boston fans, it became really outrageous as the Bruins lost game 6 because of a couple of five on three power plays for the Habs. Game 7 was the night after game 6, so there was definitely a restlessness between the two teams to play huge emotional games on back to back nights. Game 7 was a great game as the Bruins took the lead for the most part, only to give it away in the final couple minutes of the game to send it to overtime. Most of us Bruins fans remember history very well, and the B's history against the Habs never fared well, so I was nervous for the overtime. Thankfully the game ended quickly, as Nathan Horton rifled a shot that deflected in and the Bruins advanced to the next round to play the Philadelphia Flyers.

Taking on the Flyers brings pain to the mind because of the memory of losing last year's series after leading 3-0, and then 3-0 in game 7. Many of the players and head coach Claude Julien stated they weren't thinking about last year's choke and would focus on this series only. Well it showed because the Bruins smoked the Flyers 7-3 in game one, and won last night 3-2 in overtime in game two, coming back to Boston up 2-0. It's been great to see David Krejci pick up his game after playing pretty lazily in the first round, but the whole team has picked up the pace, and let's hope there's no repeat of last season. Tomorrow is game 3 at the Garden, tickets are steadily dropping because it's a Wednesday night. For Bruins tickets to the remaining games, go to the Bruins ticket section of our site.

Now onto the bad... The Red Sox, the World Series favorites, the greatest team ever assembled, has been a colossal disappointment thus far for the first month of the season. They began the season 0-6, being swept by the Rangers and Indians. The pitching started off poorly, with the exception of Beckett, and Lester somewhat. The batting was just as atrocious, hitting a measly .245 during April. Adrian Gonzalez has been raking, but hasn't shown any great power that he did in San Diego. As for Carl Crawford, he's playing the worst baseball of his life, hitting .155 with one home run and six rbi's. Although he's hitting .500 in May (three days in). The team's record is 13-15, and hopefully they will turn it on, as the weather gets warmer. Boston Red Sox tickets are selling below face value during the early going and rough patches, so be sure to check out our site for great deals.

Today, St. Patrick's Day, it's absolutely beautiful outside, with temperatures reaching near 60 outside of our Boston office (granted it's not the 80 that I felt in Florida last week but we'll take it).

A lot of great things happening in Boston lately with Lady Gaga in town and driving the place crazy, Charlie Sheen coming to Boston in April to spread his gospel amongst the masses, Janet Jackson rocked the Wang Theater, Bob Seger is playing the Garden, Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks too, just a ton of Boston shows happening within the next couple months so be sure to check Tickets of Boston's website to find tickets to the concert you want to go to!

So the Celtics have been playing up and down basketball lately, going three and three their last six games, not horrible by any stretch, but not consistent like we've seen them. I'm guessing it could be the jelling of chemistry between the core players and the new additions such as Jeff Green, Nenad Krstic, Carlos Arroyo, and Troy Murphy. Obviously the trade of Perk was tough on everyone, but the new crew looks very good, especially offensively, and will be able to easily contend towards a title this year. There's a huge demand of tickets for remaining Celtics' games which means prices have increased in the marketplace. My advice is to wait until the playoffs begin, but you don't have to because Tickets of Boston already has Celtics playoff tickets on sale, so be sure to click the above link to our Celtics tickets page.

Here we are again regarding the Bruins, after winning seven games in a row, six of which on the road, they lost four in a row, but won in a shootout against Columbus last Tuesday. I don't know if it's been a little too emotional for the Bruins nowadays, with very emotional games played against Pittsburgh and Montreal this late in the year, I just hope they're not weary of these games because the playoffs are right around the corner. The Canadiens game was obviously a huge game because of Zdeno Chara almost killing (accidentally) Canadiens' Max Pacioretty, and the Canadiens' feelings toward the lack of punishment, they even got the Montreal police involved, should really liven up the game against the Bruins on the 24th. With 13 games left, we're going to need a big wake up call and make sure we secure a top three seeding for the playoffs, as well as bringing back the tough Bruins hockey we're used to seeing. Spring training also began last week, and obviously the Sox come in as the favorites to reach the World Series out of the AL. Today, Josh Beckett was named the starter of the Grapefruit League opener, which should bolster his confidence, seeing the last two years he's been injured and an ineffective pitcher. As spring training continues, expect more and more analysis from us to scrutinize every Red Sox move.

The last few posts discussed the Bruins' turning the corner, in terms of their inconsistent play. Well as usual I was wrong, as they lost three in a row, two to Detroit, who completely toyed with the Bruins, and then blowing a game to the Maple Leafs, where Phil Kessel scored two goals. The really aggravating part was watching the B's try to play this open and finesse European style hockey, that a lot of the Western Conference teams play, and the fact is that they can't play it. They're a bruising and aggressive team that wins by skating through you, not around you, and if they make it to the Cup Finals, they will get crushed by their Western opponent, as the Detroit and San Jose games illustrated. After last week's debacle, the B's picked up the pace by winning back to back games against the lowly Islanders and Senators to begin a six game road trip. The Bruins return on March 3rd against the Lightning and then take on the Penguins on Saturday the 5th. We will have Bruins tickets for all remaining home games, just check out the Bruins section on TicketsofBoston.com

As the Celts' headed into the all star break, they were a half game ahead of the second place Miami Heat for home court advantage in the playoffs. But what was surprising is seeing the Chicago Bulls only two games behind then the Orlando Magic at five and a half games. The Eastern Conference has had either two or three great teams over the last few years, with the remaining teams just happy to make the playoffs. Now with five better teams, there could be a tough scrum to obtain the home court advantage, with it pouring over into the playoffs. Plus with the New York Knicks trading for all star Carmelo Anthony, the East is becoming extremely competitive than it has been over the last decade. Another thing is regarding the All Star Game festivities, I love the three point contest, although I was hoping for either Pierce or Allen to win, but the Dunk Contest became a little ridiculous because the dunkers get an unlimited amount of attempts within a minute and a half, it just ruins the spectacle, I root for three attempts within one minute. A great thing about the showcase, was how unbelievably athletic Blake Griffin is, if he wasn't a superstar before, he definitely is now. Blake Griffin and the Clippers come to the Garden on March 9th and we definitely have your tickets for that game.

Great day today, as we reached and passed 1000 fans on our Facebook page. The trucks are leaving today to head down to the Red Sox spring training facility in Fort Myers, Florida. With the additions of Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and some extra bullpen help, the Sox are easily the runaway favorites, but we're always cautiously optimistic in Boston. The competition may be a little weaker this year with the Yankees losing Andy Pettite to retirement, and the Rays losing their core of players, but signing old friends Manny Ramirez and Johnny Damon. I expect the Sox to win at least 95 games, with their offense bailing out Josh Beckett and Daisuke Matsuzaka a bunch of times this season. Expect John Lackey to have a better year, now that he's acclimated to the Boston area and Fenway, and obviously Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz should lead the staff in wins and ERA. A healthier Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia, along with the new additions, should allow David Ortiz extra leeway in his early season struggles, so he shouldn't be stressing during his upcoming April-May slump. This season will also be one of the Red Sox biggest season in terms of ticket demand, so we've stocked up on many of seats all over Fenway, so check out our "Red Sox Tickets" section on TicketsofBoston.com and find your seats!

What an end to the NFL season during Super Bowl Sunday. Thankfully the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25, because we didn't want to see Ben Roethlisberger achieve his third championship, tying the immortal and handsome Tom Brady. Obviously, it was a tough postseason because the favorite Patriots got beat by the hated Jets, but it was great to root for a great team with standout character players, like Aaron Rodgers and Charles Woodson, in the Packers, and we all know they love their Packers up there in Green Bay. Now with the season over, the huge issue looming is the pending lockout, if the players and owners cannot come to an agreement within the next month. If a lockout does occur, it would be the biggest blunder in sports history, as well in business history because the NFL is a golden goose bringing in $8 billion in revenue, plus its America's game. For millionaires and billionaires to be squabbling over minor percentage splits in profit is a joke, but it's come down to the union leader DeMaurice Smith being extremely rigid in the players' stance of a 16 game season and greater health care benefits and a group of 32 owners that split in their own opinions of what the next agreement should include. We all hope an agreement is reached because a year without football will leave us really bored on Sundays, as well as force a lot of football related companies to shut down.

No really new news in terms of the Celtics, they are just cruising along, coming up big in great games, like versus the Lakers and Magic, and losing closely to good teams like the Dallas Mavericks. The Big Three plus Rondo were all named to the Eastern Conference All Star team, coming off the bench to support the starters. Breaking news that just came out today, Paul Pierce will be trying to defend his Three Point Shootout championship this year, but he's taking on his teammate Ray Allen, who's only two three pointers from breaking Reggie Miller's all time record, along with all star Kevin Durant, amongst others. The C's have two big games coming up this week, taking on the Lakers on Thursday and then the Heat on Sunday, and then a softy against the Nets next Wednesday. There are some tickets available, so if you have any interest check out the site or give us a call.

On the Bruins front, they've been playing really well as of late, although did lose a tough game last Saturday against the Sharks. I was very hopeful that I wouldn't be writing about the constant inconsistencies of the B's and so far so good. The Dallas Stars found out first hand how great the Bruins can be, if they act like the old big bad Bruins of the past. Three fights in four seconds and two goals in the first 90 seconds, that's how they should be playing every game, then again if they did, they would be 82-0. Most of the play has been without Marc Savard who suffered another concussion against the Colorado Avalanche, and will be out the remainder of the season. While it is a shame that he's lost again, the Bruins will be resilient because they've been forced to play without him over the last couple seasons. I just hope it won't end his career. This week the Bruins take on the hated Canadiens on Wednesday and a rare Friday night tilt against the Detroit Red Wings. We have tons of seats so feel free to look at the "Bruins tickets" section of our site.

Last night's win adds to the Celtics record of 32-9, which would put them at a 64-18 pace, should be enough to win the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. For the most part, the Celtics have played well, with their bench coming up strong in key moments, Shaq playing very efficiently, and for the most part injuries haven't decimated the season or any particular player besides Jermaine O'Neal, although we had scares with Rondo and KG. I expect the Celtics to take the second half of the season a bit slower than the first because they'll need their older bodies rested up for the playoffs, plus there's word that Rasheed Wallace will be returning in time for the playoffs. With the Celtics playing well, tickets have been flying off the shelves, so don't be left out. Check out TicketsofBoston.com for the latest prices on all of the remaining games for Celtics tickets, including the games against the Heat and Lakers.

The Bruins might have figured it out since I last wrote. They've gained a point in 13 of the last 14 games, winning the last five out of six. What is really impressive is the fact that they're scoring goals, which is what we need to match our stout defense and goaltending. While a lot of us are excited that the Bruins are playing well again, there remains some that are skeptical because they feel the B's might be setting up the fan base for an epic choke, similar to last year. My hope is that I won't be writing about how inconsistent the Bruins' are for the remainder of the year, but with Julien coaching, who knows. As the Bruins' play well, their tickets sell well, so be sure to check out Ticketsofboston.com for Bruins tickets.

Lastly, the Patriots. What can I say that hasn't already been said. It was a travesty that they lost. The whole world had the Pats beating the Jets, including yours truly, but the Jets outmaneuvered Belichick, confused Brady, and ended up winning. I really can't even talk about it anymore, as the Pats have become the new cursed Red Sox teams of the past. As they always say, there's always next year...

The Jets beat the Colts last week on a last second field goal, even after former Pats kicker Adam Vinatieri kicked a field goal in the last minute and half to give the Colts the lead. While watching the game, I had a feeling that the Patriots could easily beat both teams because it was a bad game, Sanchez overthrowing everyone, the Colts not catching any of Manning's passes, and the defenses just sitting back trying to prevent the big play. Thankfully, the Jets did win, because watching the Ravens beat up on the Chiefs, that would have been a very scary game if we were playing Baltimore.

For the Jets, their loud mouthed head coach Rex Ryan has already zinged Tom Brady last week when comparing him to Manning, and this week has stated that this game is between Bill Belichick and himself, completely undermining the players that, you know, play the game. What really bugs Ryan, is the beating the Pats gave the Jets in week 13, winning 45-3, so he's looking for payback on the biggest stage. Look for the Jets to press the Pats wide receivers because of their short, quick routes, but the tight ends will have a huge game. The Pats will need to contain LT and the long out passes by the Jets big wide receivers. Look for the Pats to win 34-14 and host the AFC Championship against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Celtics have been going through ups and downs as of late, losing Kevin Garnett to a calf injury, just after getting Rondo back from injury. Without KG, the Celtics have looked lost on defense, with teams scoring 100 points in three of the last four games. It's not a big deal though for the Celtics to lose a couple seeing that they were very dominant during the first 30 games of the season. Now they just got to worry about losing the top seed to the Miami Heat who've been on a path of destruction through teams.

The Bruins, same story, nothing new, playing extremely inconsistent, sometimes showing promise but then being lazy. Time to fire Julien, plain and simple, the Bruins need a offensive minded coach who likes to keep the pedal down to the floor. Julien was playing musical chairs with the goaltending situation, pulling Rask after one period, after his first start in two weeks, just mass confusion going on behind the Bruins bench. The holiday rush of gift buying basically rendered me useless in terms of writing because we were extremely busy due to our great clients! But since December 2nd, it's been the same story for the Boston sports teams; plenty of winning and excitement rampant in the city.

The Patriots have been on a tear over the last month and a half, winning seven straight games, clinching the number one seed for the playoffs, which gives them home field advantage throughout, and Tom Brady looks like he's the clear cut MVP this season. This month alone, the Pats have destroyed the Jets, Bears, Bills, and beating the Packers after showing resilience by coming back from a deficit. What is really amazing, is the Pats look like their old championship teams from earlier this decade, with a spread out, quick attack offense. Running backs BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead have provided a spark that many thought the Pats lacked, a good running game. It would be great to see Green-Ellis attain a 1000 yard season, as he is only 72 yards away from that accomplishment. The Pats close out the 2010 regular season by taking on the Miami Dolphins at home this Sunday. The Dolphins haven't progressed as many thought they would, remaining the same average team they've been over the last couple years. Expect Brady and company to play the first half and if it's a blowout, they'll probably get pulled early, otherwise, Belichick will have the second team play the second half, leaving the first teamers sharp, but rested for the playoffs. Tickets of Boston still has tickets left for the Patriots game, so if your looking for great seats at low prices, feel free to checkout Ticketsofboston.com.

The Celtics have been on a tear all month, winning 14 straight until their Christmas day loss against the Orlando Magic. The impressive part is that the Celtics have won most of these games without point guard Rajon Rondo, who's been out with a hurt ankle. Nate Robinson has filled in admirably, but he isn't the pure point guard that can distribute the ball like Rondo is. Now that the Celtics have established themselves as a force, they will probably take it easy for the next few months to rest up their older players and prepare them for the playoffs.

The Bruins haven't been the most consistent team in the league, with some great wins and some really poor losses. Over the last couple weeks, fans have been calling for the head of coach Claude Julien, who's defensive style has hampered the B's offensive production. Julien apparently heard the rumors as he began implementing more energetic practices and promoting a team first attitude. Their first game after the rumors on the 22nd really showed that Julien and the players got the hint, as the B's played tough, offensive hockey, culminating in a huge brawl as the players came to the side of Milan Lucic who was on the wrong end of a cheap shot to the face. Hopefully, the Bruins will continue to play like this, because if they do, their chances of playing for a Stanley Cup are almost definite.

On Thanksgiving, the Pats destroyed the Detroit Lions, after a sluggish first half. Brady and the offense looked unstoppable in the second half, putting up 35 points and winning Brady the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award. The offense reminds us of the team that won the three Super Bowls with a spread and short passing offense that was quick and effective. The loss of Randy Moss has obviously not hurt the Pats, unlike the Vikings and Titans who haven't done well with Moss. But enough about the lowly Lions, the biggest game of the year is on Monday night against the first place J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets. This game will decide who will hold first place of the AFC East, and most likely who will have the number one seed heading into the playoffs, which includes home field advantage. The Pats will be able to handle the Jets secondary better than last time because of their quick strike offense. The Jets defense is able to cover the deep ball and longer passes better than any other team, so quick passes over the middle will expose their safeties and blitzing linebackers. The Jets, on the other hand, have been playing very close games as of late, with the exception on Thanksgiving where they beat the Bengals easily. Their offense has expanded this season with the maturity of QB Mark Sanchez, so unless he really plays horrible, I'd expect this game to be a shootout with the Pats winning 34-31.

The Bruins haven't been playing well lately dropping four out of the last five games until last night where Tim Thomas and the B's shut out rival Philadelphia. The defense played stellar stopping all four of the Flyers' power plays, although they did allow the pesky Flyers to get off 41 shots on Thomas. It doesn't get easier for the Bruins as they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, who have the NHL's leading scorer Steven Stamkos. They'll need a big game tonight by the defense, along with Thomas, who I assume will start against the best offense in the league. The biggest news could be the return of Marc Savard, who may come back tonight, and the B's could use some offense since they've been averaging two goals over their last six games.

The Celtics continue to roll over everbody, really there isn't breaking news regarding the C's, except for a tough injury to Delonte West, who broke is wrist and is out for a considerable period of time. The C's have won five straight games and only have lost four games this year by a combined total of 15 points. Shaq has been playing excellent and very efficient by piling up 13 points and 7.5 rebounds in 23 minutes per game. Big game Friday against the first place Chicago Bulls, who play a quick, tough and athletic game, and there should be some serious trash talking between Kevin Garnett and Joakim Noah.

Tickets of Boston has all of your tickets to Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots games, as well as concerts to Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Usher, Andrea Bocelli and theater events such as Jersey Boys and Mary Poppins! The drubbing of the Steelers, showed that the Pats may have overlooked the trap game against the Browns and were concentrating on playing a team who has the best defense in football (although the Patriots would never admit that) because they tore apart Pittsburgh's defense and won the game handily. The road didn't get much smoother as the Pats had to face the Indianapolis Colts and their dynamic offense featuring QB Peyton Manning. As we've witnessed so many times these two teams play, the Pats went up big early, but Manning brought the team back within striking distance, only this time he threw an interception, instead of beating us. The Pats will have an extremely short week, as they play on Thanksgiving against the hapless, but decent Detroit Lions in Michigan. This is another game that has all the makings of a trap game, as the next game is a Monday night one against the hated Jets, which will decide who will win the AFC East division. Expect the Pats to be sluggish, but win, as they learned the lesson of the Browns game to not overlook any team towards the next opponent.

The Bruins have come back to reality a bit, although they are still winning. Tim Thomas has actually lost two games, one in regulation and one in a shootout, but he still remains in the elite category of goaltending, while Tuukka Rask has played inconsistent, which makes sense because he's playing backup and not getting a ton of playing time. A big surprise is Milan Lucic playing on fire so far this season. He has ten goals, which is on pace for around 40 goals, along with a 70 point season. I expect Lucic to have the best season of his career, but a 40 goal year is sort of unrealistic, just not his style of play, so I expect 30 goals to be more accurate. The B's overall have played decent, considering they lost David Krejci and Johnny Boychuk to some games due to injury, but have them back now. Expect the similar up and down play, as the intensity and quantity of games increase as we enter into the new year.

The Celtics continue to play well, winning the close games and blowing teams out, as they did to Washington last week and Atlanta last night. Although the great Rajon Rondo hurt his hamstring and has to miss a couple games, Nate Robinson has played well in his absence, and the C's would be smart to let Rondo get back to full health because their upcoming schedule against the Nets and Raptors aren't presenting much of a challenge. The strong start will allow the Celtics to rest their aging stars during the latter half of the season, to ensure they are ready and healthy for the playoff stretch.

In Red Sox offseason news, Victor Martinez agreed to a four year deal worth $50 million with the Detroit Tigers. I think it's a tough loss because of our catching situation, Varitek is barely a bench player now, and Jared Saltalamacchia isn't ready to assume full time duty yet, and his offensive contribution can't be overlooked. But paying $12.5 million for a 35 year old catcher isn't what the Sox wanted to do, so they moved on. Expect Adrian Beltre to move on also, which forces the Sox to scurry for options to fill the offensive and defensive holes those losses provide.

In concert news, Michael Buble is playing the Garden this Saturday night on the 27th, Weezer is playing the Orpheum on December 14th and 15th. Usher is playing the Garden on December 21st.

The Jersey Boys are playing the Colonial Theatre from December 16th to January 30th. The Radio City Music Spectacular will be playing the Wang Theatre from December 2nd to the 29th. Mary Poppins will be in action at the Opera House from February 17th to March 20th.

For tickets to any of these sporting events, concerts or theatre shows, feel free to call us at 617-787-2370 or visit us at Ticketsofboston.com

Pats' Lose Big

This is what I get for being lazy and jinxing the Pats' on my Twitter account. I felt like all the Boston sports teams were doing so well that I didn't need to write about them and then I assumed that the Patriots were going to "destroy" the Browns, and the B's lost back to back games and the Pats' got beat by the Browns badly.

I'll start with the Pats game, jeez was that bad, rookie Rob Gronkowski had a very tough game which he started by muffing a kickoff, which led to the Browns being up early and completely distorting the offensive gameplan, then with the game within reach, Gronkowski fumbled before halftime, which would have made the game 17-14, but instead points were lost. For Gronkowski, it was a learning experience that hopefully he's gotten out of his system so he continue on his stellar rookie year. Browns running back Peyton Hillis continues to make Josh McDaniel look like a moron (McDaniels traded him and draft picks for 3rd string QB Brady Quinn), by running all over the Pats for 184 yards and two touchdowns. The kid is a monster so the Browns are hoping this isn't a one year fluke and he'll be the running back for the present and future. The defense looked extremely bad, after doing well the last few weeks against excellent teams. They allowed rookie QB Colt McCoy to march up and down the field and kept Brady and the offense on the sidelines. I'm sure this week Bill Belichick will practice the Pats hard and have them ready for the Steelers, then the Colts, and Lions all within 11 days. The Colts game is the toughest ticket in town, but there are a few remaining seats so if you feel like catching Peyton Manning in action, check out the 'Patriots Tickets' section of Ticketsofboston.com.

The Bruins' were playing at such an incredible pace that it was only normal that they come back to Earth. Tim Thomas finally showed that he was human by letting up three goals against the Capitals, which he was pulled for Tuukka Rask and the B's made a game out of it, but lost 5-3. The game on Saturday night against the Blues was a tough loss in a shootout, so although Rask hasn't won this year, he still played a good game against what many people say are the best team in the league. It only gets tougher for the B's with losing David Krejci to a concussion and playing the Penguins on Wednesday and the Canadiens back home on Thursday. The Bruins will be playing three games in five days at home starting Thursday against Montreal, Saturday against Ottawa, and ending Monday against New Jersey. Tickets are available for all three games so be sure to check out the 'Bruins Tickets' section of our site.

The Celtics are obviously playing like the Celtics, winning games with defense and Rajon Rondo playing out of his mind. With one loss against the Cavs, the C's have taken on the NBA's better teams in Chicago and Oklahoma City, along with the lesser teams and handled them all. The C's are on a four game road trip, which started last night against the Thunder, it doesn't get easy until next Saturday when they play Memphis because they're visiting the Mavericks and then Lebron and the Heat. The minute Moss was traded to the Vikings, tickets have been flying off the shelves, but the hubbub has died down a bit, which is good for you, the consumer. It will be a desperate game for the Vikings, who ended up playing themselves out of a win to the Packers, due to Brett Favre throwing picks and not sticking to using the best running back in the league, Adrian Peterson. The Pats, meanwhile, continue to win, even if it's ugly. The Chargers should have taken advantage of the Patriots' anemic offense, but did everything they could to give the game away, mental mistakes and the missed field goal. The Pats' offense is the midst of a transformation, so it's going to take a few weeks to become a spread it out, short pass offense, rather than their prior deep threat offense. The defense looked fantastic for the first 50 minutes of the game, although, you really can't blame them for letting up the touchdown after the special teams blew the surprise onside kick. The caliber of opponents is also helping the Pats' defense mature, each team they've played has at least a decent offense (Dolphins and Bills), with some being great (Packers, Steelers, Jets, Colts, Vikings, Chargers), this should expedite the learning curve for the young players. Tickets of Boston still has a few tickets left, so be sure to check out the Patriots Tickets section of our website and find yourself a deal!

So the Celtics opened their season up the other night, if you didn't hear, against the Heat. The intensity was crazy within the building, KG looked insane, and you just knew the Celts' weren't going to allow the Heat come in and begin their season with a win. The Celts did have their usual fourth quarter letdown, but they held up and escaped with a win. Now last night against Cleveland, I have no idea what happened, but it seems on back to back games, the Celtics are going to take it easy on their older bodies, similar to what they did last year, and prepare themselves for the postseason. Next home game is tomorrow night against the new look Knicks, who now have Amare Stoudemire as their star, and looking to add Carmelo Anthony to their roster via trade sometime this season.

Lastly, we have the Bruins, who are out to a good start this year, well Tim Thomas is, Tuukka Rask, not so much. But it's early in the season so there's sure to be plenty of ups and downs. Tonight showcases the B's taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the return of Phil Kessel, who has been lighting up the lamp this season for the 5-2-1 Leafs. Apparently, it looks that Thomas will be starting tonight, so hopefully the Bruins can pull out a big win and close the gap between them and the two teams above them.

We are on Twitter now! For a defense that had a tough first half in giving up long drives and committing unnecessary penalties, the young group took a stand in the fourth quarter and overtime, which allowed the offense to gradually reduce the 10 point lead and send the game into overtime, which the Pats won with a field goal. Could this be a turning point? It looks it, the Ravens have a great running game, along with three very good wide-outs, and quarterback, so they're no slouches, and for the Pats to buckle down and start pressuring Ravens QB Joe Flacco, and being physical with their receivers, the youngsters may be getting the hang of this league. The Pats head to San Diego this week to take on the struggling Chargers, who at 2-4 are under-performing as a playoff favorite. This is one game the Pats can't sleep on, especially with the Vikings and Moss looming the week after, because the Pats got crushed by 20 the last time they went to San Diego, and the Chargers are desperate for a big win. As I stated, the Pats return home after the San Diego trip to take on the Vikings, and these seats are flying off the shelves. If you don't want to miss out on the game, checkout Ticketsofboston.com's Patriots tickets section, and take a look at your seats!

This Thursday is the Bruins' 2010 season home opener against the Capitals! So far, so good for the B's, with a split of the series with Phoenix in Prague and a big win over the Devils in New Jersey last Saturday night. What is really surprising, is that both season wins came with Tim Thomas in net, allowing only one goal in two games, while Tuukka Rask got shelled in the first game of the year against the Coyotes 5-2. A problem we had last year was goal scoring because since the trade of Phil Kessel, the B's didn't have someone to bury goals in front or snipe shots from the circle, but that looks to be an old issue as players like Nathan Horton and rookie Tyler Seguin have buried goals with ease. If this offensive skill is to continue, then look out for the B's to challenge Washington and Pittsburgh as Stanley Cup contenders. The Bruins begin a home stretch with the opener this Thursday against the Washington Capitals, then on Saturday night versus the New York Rangers. Tickets are hot for both games, so if you check out the Bruins tickets section on Ticketsofboston.com, you may find some great deals remaining.

Although Ninkovich just came up with a big interception that led to a long drive for only three points, it's looking like Miami is easily controlling the ball and driving at will against us. Last week should have easily been a blow out with the offense scoring all over the Bills, but the secondary made Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick look like the 21st century reincarnation of Jim Kelly. A positive to come out of this is that giving the young players this time to play, should help their development towards the future. After tonight's game, the Pats will have the week off for their bye, and then they come back to Foxboro to take on, arguably the best team in the league in the Baltimore Ravens. A week after torching the Bengals offensively, the Pats were a dud, mostly in the second half, against the Jets and lost 28-14. What was really disappointing, was the exploitation of the young secondary by the Jets young QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez had his way with the young cornerbacks by taking advantage of the Jets WR height advantage, as well as experience. All three touchdowns were thrown within the red zone, with the cornerbacks never turning their heads to locate the ball, instead watching the receivers. The Patriots began the first half marching up and down the field, and looked like the team that beat the Bengals, but during the second half, the Jets stepped up on pressuring Brady and made plays when they needed to be made, making the Pats look like the week one Jets. The good thing is that its only the second game of the season, so there's plenty of football left. The Pats loss leaves them tied with the Jets in second place behind the 2-0 Miami Dolphins, who beat Brett Favre and the Vikings, 14-10. Once again, the Dolphins offense struggled, but their defense held up when it mattered most, stopping Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson on a 4th and goal at the 1 yard line. This week, all the AFC east teams are taking on each other, with Miami and New York playing Sunday night in Miami, while the Pats take on the woeful 0-2 Buffalo Bills, who got destroyed 34-7 by the Green Bay Packers. I expect the Pats to come out and beat the Bills easily, while the Jets go down to Miami and win a close and low scoring game, so expect three teams to be tied for first by Monday morning. There are still plenty of great Patriots tickets for their game against Buffalo on Sunday, so check out Ticketsofboston.com and view our "Patriots Tickets" tab on our home page.

Week one was very impressive for the Patriots, and very troubling for the remaining teams in the division. The Pats ran all over the Bengals, the young defensive secondary played good for the most part, and Wes Welker is not human. The team came out and excelled at every part of the game. While the Bengals piled up yards in the second half, it didn't really matter because they were down by 28 and needed to be desperate in their offensive strategy. Meanwhile, Miami squeaked out a win against lowly Buffalo 15-10, although their defense looked great, their offense was terrible, which is saying something because Buffalo is slated by most experts to win four games at most. The Jets, with all of their trash talking bravado, ended up losing to Baltimore on Monday night 10-9 because their offense is awful. Their QB Mark Sanchez looks like a high school kid with his immaturity and lack of poise. Their defense still played well, although they lost their pro bowl tackle Kris Jenkins for the year again. Although we can't forecast what's going to happen for the rest of the year, seeing that it is only week one, I'm comfortable in saying that the Patriots may go undefeated in the division this year. The Patriots take on the Jets this week, in New Jersey, and come back to Foxboro on the 25th, when they take on the Bills. Tickets of Boston has plenty of tickets for that game, so take a look at our Patriots tickets section and start cheering the Pats live!
