Thankful Thursday: Extra Mile

How far are you willing to go in serving God? Are you willing to take an extra mile? How long are you willing to stay in the Ministry where you are currently serving right now?

Let us try to assess ourselves.

If you stay on your current Ministry simply because you are obliged, then you miss the point.

If you continue to exist on your current ministry simply because you are told to do so, again you miss the point.

God does need a halfhearted service. He wants the whole you- without any reservations…

He does not need your service during Sundays only or only during special church activities. He wants you to work full time on Him…

Ask yourself this question: Am I missing the point in serving God? Have I walked that extra mile? If not yet, am i willing to start now?

Where is your life heading to right now? Are you following a specific route? If you are just simply wandering in the wilderness, take time to ponder on God’s Word. He needs fisher of men… Are you available? Can you make yourself available? Try to listen to His still small voice, He is calling to you right now. HE ask You to follow Him. Do not ignore His calling…

I Want To be A Part Of The Lanzones Festival

Time flew so fast and before we knew it, we are about to face the last quarter of the year! Who would have thought that today is the mid-date of September and sooner it’s gonna be October. And talking about October, Philippines, being known to have lots of annual festivities will celebrate three of the renowned Festival Celebration which are as follows:

Hermosa Festival in ZAMBOANGA
Lanzones Festival in CAMIGUIN
MassKara Festival in BACOLOD

If given the opportunity, I would love to experience these three festivities however, traveling to Zamboanga and Bacolod is not ideal for me considering that I am pregnant! What I thought would best suit me is the Lanzones Festival since Camiguin is very accessible and not too far from Cagayan de Oro where I am currently staying!

Why do I want to experience and join that festival?

I’ve been to Camiguin just once and I don’t stay longer there. It was just a short visit to Ardent and Sto. Nino Spring, then off back to work. I didn’t really enjoyed so much with my short stay there. I long heard about Lanzones Festival but I never get the chance to experience it but I am still open to the possibilities that someday I will. I also love the lanzones, it is one of my favorites. Want to lead a group? Want to be a guide? How does it feel to tend a flock of sheep by yourself? Are you willing to take this responsibility?

Being a shepherd just like how David was before he became a King may not really that easy. It is such a great responsibility. However, if God calls you to do such task, you cannot do away from it… It is your calling therefore, you should obey it…

NO matter where God will take us as long as we allow ourselves to become His instruments, we will become a blessings to those whom we are able to reach out…

Let us learn to let go and let God to have the total control of our lives.

Pink Friday: Have A Splash @ SpringView Resort

This was taken last Monday, April 29, 2011 at Spring View Resort located at Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. The place isn’t really that big but it is such a good venue for relaxation. If you could notice, there’s only a little pink in there. The main subject of this picture is the boyish face of Pastor John of My Craft and Other Interest (the loving husband of Ate Grace Fancubit- the woman behind A Walk To Remember blog).

The resort is quite crowded that time because it’s a Holiday. Their pool isn’t really that big but it is very obvious that everybody was really having fun. if you are interested to visit Spring View Result, check their details below…

Hilltop @ Davao

This is me six years ago. This was taken somewhere in Davao, Philippines. It’s an overlooking place where there is a fast food restaurant. We stop there for breakfast before heading back home… However, this trip was quite bad because we got an accident along the highway but by the grace of God nobody else were badly injured except me and my best friend out of the fourteen of us.
