LOCAL 3102 MONTHLY MEETING AUGUST 20TH, 2015

Local 3102 had its monthly meeting this evening.

Phil Farruggio was sworn in as the new vice president.

There was a good turnout this evening. Approximately 49 members were in attendance.

The most popular topic was the current contract negotiations,

President Royce Ulibarri updated the membership with regard to the locals preparedness in the event that a strike is called.

He also advised members to stay patient and trust in the negotiation process. The company is testing us and we need to stay united in the wake of their obstinacy.

Strike Captains have been selected for each yard. Members were updated on current Mobility and Wire Tech issues.

Mobility is suffering under a new commission structure designed to make it even harder to earn.

Wire Techs had an increase in grievances of late. Wire techs are still not getting much relief as their dispatching cutoff time is set at 7pm.

Machine Operators are being scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

The locals mobility website is now live. The URL is cwa3102.org. If your are using a smart phone, our website is now a little more user friendly on mobile devices. The main website and mobile website are still being tweaked.
