Hi! So.. as I'm sure you all know, I'm not really blogging anymore. I just moved and I don't have internet at my new place. I'm posting this from my parents' house. I'm there for dinner tonight. Anyway, just thought I would share this picture of some of my new polish storage. These shelves were there at my new place in the living room and I LOVE them. I'm not sure how many polishes there are on there, but the rest are in my helmer.

Anyway, I might occasionally post if I have internet, but I doubt it. Thanks to everyone who stuck around with me this last year and a half!

Weekend Pictures. Really Long!

Hi everyone. I'm feeling quite sick again today.. all morning at work I felt like I was going to collapse. Thank goodness my manager was working in a different department because I was moving SLOW and kept having to sit down.. otherwise I probably would have passed out. Or been sick. Anyways, today I just want to share some pictures from my weekend. I went to one of the yacht club's annual events at our private beach.. This event is where everyone dresses up like pirates.. or they're supposed to. They bring a band out to the island, there's a treasure hunt, one of the members makes a TON of carne asada. It's always a good time. We actually got warm weather for the first time! In the years past it's always rained at this event. I went hiking up this big hill and to the point to take pictures. I've been hiking up there ever since the first time I went to Inati Bay but I usually forget my camera.

Inati Bay. One of my favorite places to go.. It has been since I was 12. I've had some really good times there.

The whaler! This is what I came back in on Saturday night. I came over with my parents on our sailboat but they are cruising for the next 10 days so they didn't come back. Also, most people were staying the night Saturday. I had to work Sunday morning. I love whalers. They're so much fun.. I almost didn't get to go on any rides in the whaler this summer but my brother took me and Kathy out earlier in the day and then brought us home that night. FUN.

My auntie Susan and my older brother Jason french braiding Kathy's hair. Well, Jason tried. He decided he is going to become the master at french braiding hair when Kathy comes back to visit in December. He was all "I'm a pirate, I can do anything!" It was hilarious.

My FAVORITE picture from the weekend. I just love it up there.. The first time I hiked up was when I was 13 or so I think. I went with Jason and a bunch of his friends and I was terrified of falling. The hill to get up there is STEEP. I meant to take a picture of it. I remember they lined up and all helped me climb up and get back down. They all made sure I had a hand to hold which was awesome. Ever since then, whenever I go to Inati, I always climb up there. It's like my happy place or something. I always calm down up there.

So yeah! That's where I was Friday and Saturday. Friday I cried a lot, my head was killing me and people were lecturing me about my health and I just kind of lost it a bit. BUT it was also a good day. Before we left, I got to see my favorite uncle. He's in the national guard and has been gone most of this month for some training thing or something. I don't know. But he got a 24 hour leave and I got to see him for a few minutes Friday before we left. Then once we got to Inati I saw my big brother was there. I rarely see him anymore and he hung out with me a lot. It was like when I was younger and saw him all the time. I'm sure you all know we aren't actually related, that's pretty obvious in the picture.. I met Jason when I was 12, when my mom and stepdad first met and we became involved in the yacht club. He helped me get over my fear of boats. One day we were on the boat headed home, probably from Inati, and he said that my sisters and I needed an older brother to keep an eye on us or something and since we didn't have a real one, he would be it. I've been calling him my brother since then.. I also remember bragging in middle school about how I had the coolest brother ever. I had always wanted an older brother. I don't think my sisters still call him their brother but I could be wrong. He will always be my brother though. I love him TONS and I'm happy we've started talking a bit more lately.

Sorry for the ramblings. Can't help it. High five to anyone who makes it through this ridiculously long post!! I like talking about places and people I love though.

China Glaze Cherry Pie

Hey everybody. I wanted to get a post up tonight because I'll be gone the next 3 days. Well, tomorrow I'm off work at 9:30am but we are taking the boat out for the Buccaneer's Cruise. We aren't leaving until abut 5:30 tomorrow night but I need to get stuff ready and help load the boat and figure out a pirate outfit for Saturday. I'm coming home Saturday night unfortunately, since I work Sunday morning.. But after work I'm having another Disney marathon with my bestie. She's moving away in 2 weeks ]:

So anyways, here is China Glaze Cherry Pie. I got this in a blog sale and LOVEEEE it. It's one of my favorite pedicure colors. I find myself reaching for it a lot. If you click and make the pictures bigger it looks better.

Anybody else have this polish? What do you think of it? Also, does anyone else have any fun plans for the weekend? I'm sad that boating season is almost over.. I hardly got to spend any time on the boat this year. This growing up business is just no fun.

Color Club You Got Soul-Ar

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Any of you who read my blog regularly should know by now that neons are my absolute favorite.

You Got Soul-Ar is from the Color Club Starry Temptress collection. So far I have 2 from this collection, this one and Glitter Envy. I love both of them. The glitter isn't really sparkly but I think it looks really cool.

Oh man. I was planning on painting my nails to look like chocolate chip cookies today but just looking at this I want to wear another neon polish! Oh maaaaan. I just can't decide.

Here's another polish I hadn't tried until last Saturday on the boat. I've mostly been wearing bright colors the last few months but I really liked this polish. Maybe I'll wear it tomorrow!

Essie Smooth Sailing

I hope you all are having a better Monday then I am. I spent my shift at work feeling like I was going to throw up and then faint. Plus I am bruised on my sides (who knew that hula hooping for an hour would do that?) and my left knee is swollen and bruising (yeah, I kind of had a bad landing jumping from the boat to the dock). And I think I'm getting a cold. Agh. Done complaining now!

I spent Friday through Sunday out on my family's boat Sunstar. Friday afternoon my mom, my stepdad, my aunt and I took Sunstar and towed our racing boat Amore to Friday Harbor. Saturday our friend Jan joined us and the four of them went out to race on Amore. I was left by myself on Sunstar in Friday Harbor. I was an idiot and didn't bring any books with me. I did bring about 10 nail polishes though I spent my time swatching on the deck. The people on the boat we were rafted to kept laughing at me. They were all "why are you taking pictures of your nails? That's just weird." They also thought my name was funny. They kept asking if my name was REALLY Tierney. Yes, yes it is really my name. I know, it's different.

Anywho, I thought it was fitting to bring this polish with me because of the name. And the color. As soon as I saw pictures of this one I had to have it but I still haven't gotten around to actually wearing it. Oh goodness. It's a gorgeous color though and I love it.

If anybody is interested I can post some pictures from this weekend. Saturday night one of my adopted uncles and I took Sunstar to meet the other boat and we spent the night at Sucia Island. I drove most of the way there. My stepdad was a jerk the majority of the weekend but that wasn't a surprise. I just had to tune him out. Although helping run our biggest regatta is more relaxing then being on a boat with him. Just sayin'.

Essie Turquoise & Caicos/SH Hidden Treasure. AND TALL SHIPS!

Hey everyone. I hope your Saturday is off to a better start then mine! Last night I was the last person to leave the yacht club. I left at 10:30 when the bartender closed it. I don't know why I stayed so late.. nobody I knew was there. I really didn't want to go home though. And I'm really going to miss that place when I move. I guess I just felt like being there. Anyways, when I went to leave my car wouldn't start. Battery needs replaced. Luckily I was able to get ahold of a friend to pick me up. It was the friend whose family I just spent the last week house/dog/cat/ferret sitting for. Her stepdad is going to help me with my car tonight so yay. Hopefully it gets fixed tonight. Who knows. Ew, and tonight I work at 9pm until 5:30 tomorrow morning. YUCK. Done ranting now!

Today I have a fabulous layering combo to share with you all. Or at least I think it is fabulous. Last Friday I didn't feel like being at home, so I took some nail polish and headed down to the harbor. I decided to do my nails on my family's boat. It was very nice and the polish combo made me think of mermaids so it fit! HAH.

Am I the only one who thinks of mermaids when looking at this? Well, I know I'm not since my mom said the same thing.. but anybody else agree??

First I used Essie Turquoise & Caicos. I believe I used 2 coats. I might be wrong. Maybe it was 3. Who knows. Then I added 1 coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure over that. I absolutely loved it and was really sad when it started chipping. I'll probably end up wearing this combo again soon because I absolutely love it.

OH! Just remembered I wanted to share a couple other pictures with you all. Right now the tall ships the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain are in Bellingham. They've been here for a couple weeks and are leaving in a day or so. They've come out the last couple Wednesday nights when we were finishing races and I got a few pictures.

Here is the Lady Washington. Did you know that Lady Washington was in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie as the Interceptor? Yeah.

And this is the Hawaiian Chieftain.

I have more pictures but I won't spam you all. I just get so excited each summer when the tall ships come. I love seeing them.

Color Club Mrs. Robinson

Today I've got one of my favorite polishes to share with you guys. I had a really hard time getting color accurate pictures of this one. I am going to have to do redo this post sometime I'm sure. Also, my top coat bubbled like crazy. So really, I don't even know why I'm posting these at all! Hah.

So.. the first picture is more color accurate. I still am really not good at taking pictures and it really didn't help that I was running late for race committee and had to hurry taking them. Then of course I managed to chip them so this is all I've got for now. BUT this is one of my all time favorite polishes so I'm sure I'll be wearing it again soon. By the way, this looks INCREDIBLE with Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure layered over it.

I'm house sitting for the next week and won't have internet there.. but I'll bring my camera and maybe do some swatching! I really feel terrible for being such a lame blogger. So I'll try to get some posts half way ready for when I'm back.

BB Couture Pocahontas

I got this awesome polish in a blog sale. It arrived Friday morning and I put it on immediately. And I absolutely love it. Love love love. It's so weird, I always thought colors similar this were boring and just not me. But this one is different I guess! I've had it on for 4 days now and haven't gotten tired of it which is shocking.

Unfortunately I didn't get pictures until an hour ago and I got a few small chips at work this morning.

Yeah.. I was sorta petting my kitten.

This is my 5th BB Couture polish and it's fabulous. Easy to apply. I used 2 coats I believe. Like I said, I love love LOVE this.

Here's a picture of my cat Goober. He was all interested in the lens cap that was sitting on the deck.

Have any of you guys ever disliked a certain color of nail polish and then had one you really liked? There is nothing even close to this in my collection, which is mostly bright colors.

Hi hi hi hi hi!!

I'm back today after a couple months with my 4th of July manicure to share with you guys!! I FINALLY found my camera cord yesterday so I can upload my pictures from my camera to my computer again. YAY. I think I'm going to start blogging regularly again!

For this mani I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, Cult Nails Quench, Orly La Playa, and Cover Girl City Lights.

I've been a little obsessed with polka dot nails lately.. Tehe. I just love them.

Some silly red, white and blue jewelry! I figured my little anchor ring fits because I am spending my 4th of July evening at the yacht club. There is a firework show over the bay tonight and we will be watching from the yacht club deck after a BBQ!! My stepdad's good friend will be there with his family so I'm bringing some red, white and blue nail polish with me to do his 7 year old daughters nails.

And finally, this is my 4th of July shirt. Disney style. Because that is just what I do.

Last year I did THIS mani. Today I did the same thing but with different colors.

Today I used Misa A Sunny Smile Makes Me Go Wild and Color Club What A Shock! Over a Sparitual white polish because I like my neons as bright as can be.

Love it. Makes me feel like maybe summer will be here soon.

So.. random stuff now. I've been more Disney obsessed then usual lately. It just cheers me up. I'm such a child. Hah.

I don't have much else to say.. Life is stressful. And tiring. And my headaches are still bad.. But stuff like this makes me feel better

Hello everybody. It's been about a month since I've posted on here, sorry about that. I'm just going through a rough time right now and haven't like to blogging. I don't feel like I was really a good blogger to begin with anyways. I don't know. I might start back up again when I start feeling better. I might still post occasionally. I just haven't decided what to do really. But I didn't want to just disappear.

There is one nail polish combo I wanted to tell you all about though. I wore it for a whole week, that is how much I loved it. It was Color Club Mrs. Robinson with 1 coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure on top. It looked INCREDIBLE. At least to me. Unfortunately I have no pictures because I haven't been able to find the charger for my camera and my cell phone good NOT get a good picture. It couldn't even get an okay picture.

And this is totally random, but I just love this little clip from Angel.

I've been watching Angel a lot lately.. I started watching the first season a few months ago and then I got really upset when they killed off Doyle since he was my favorite. I finally got over that a couple weeks ago and started watching it again and got sucked in.

Anyways, thanks to everyone who has read and commented for the last year!! I still read all the blogs on my list and I'm going to try to get better at leaving comments.

China Glaze 108 Degrees

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Today I have a few pictures of China Glaze 108 Degrees to share with you guys :D

I don't feel like talking much today so I'll just post the pics. Oh and BTW I used 3 coats.

Basically, I love this color. It's gorgeous in my opinion. It's so weird, a year ago I almost NEVER wore pink polish.. It's really grown on me though. And I think this one is fabulous.

China Glaze Blue Iguana

Ahh, I love the polish I'm sharing with you all today. It's Blue Iguana from the China Glaze Island Escape collection. I got the collection on Sunday while I was at the Spa Show in Vancouver BC. There were a few different beauty supply stores that had booths there that were selling them. I also finally got a bottle of OPI Black Shatter while I was there for $5.95. Woohoo.

Anyways, back to Blue Iguana. I absolutely love it. It is SUCH a pretty blue. The press release described it as a bold and daring sparkly blue. What I really like about this polish is that in some light it has flashes of purple. I've only noticed it in the shade.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention I used 3 coats of this polish.

Agh. I really need to work on taking better pictures.. I don't know how most of you guys do it. I have such a hard time.. and I wasn't able to capture the purple flash I've noticed a few times. But it's there!!

What do you think of Blue Iguana? I have a feeling I will be wearing it quite often during the summer.

Can't Decide.

Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. I'm being kind of lazy today, I've been watching Psych for a couple hours. Later on I'm going to my auntie's house for dinner.

Yesterday my older brother who I haven't seen since November took me to lunch. [: It was fun.. Then of course I went to the yacht club. There were 3 Irish dancers that performed and it was the COOLEST THING EVER. I grew up watching Lord of the Dance at my dad's house and would hop around it front of the tv pretending I could dance like that. I've always wanted to learn. Anyway, they were amazing and I almost cried. I was so excited and I felt like I was 5 years old again. These girls are actually going to Dublin to compete in 5 weeks or something. Incredible.

Let's see, what else is new... I am thinking about chopping my hair off again. I had been keeping it short for a couple years but I haven't cut it since July I think.

So yeah, that's a picture from last summer, my hair is messy in the picture but whatever. That's how short it was. I had just gotten the hipstamatic app on my phone and was playing with it, hah.

And here's a picture I just took. Again with the hipstamatic app because it's FUN.

I really am not liking it this long.. which a lot of people are telling me it isn't long, but for me it is. I've rarely had my hair this long since I was a little girl and got my hair caught in a kitchen aide and had to be cut out.

Opinions anyone? Should I cut it again? I just can't decide! PLEASE tell me what you think!

I'm also considering moving out of Washington but I don't feel like getting into that right now.. maybe later.

Heyy everybody. Still no nails. I wasn't home yesterday.. I was going to paint my nails while I was at my friend's apartment but I ended up painting other people's nails. Haha.

Cult Nails Living Water

Oh my goodness you guys, you have no idea how excited I am to be posting this. Except I can't really think of words which is a problem. Hah!

I'm sure most of you know, blogger Maria of R3 Daily has started her own line of nail polish. I've been following her blog for months and I think it is incredible what she is doing! Today I'm going to share one of her polishes with you, one that is very special to me. My Cult Nails package came in the mail the day before my birthday which was perfect timing! I am so happy I got to wear this polish for my 19th birthday.

"LIVING WATER is a deep blue jelly polish with ice blue and emerald green glitter inspired by the phosphorescent sea-water and created by blogger Tierny."

Basically, blogger Tierney = me. Living Water is my dream polish. When Maria announced her contest for her followers create a color for Cult Nails I really wanted to enter.. but I'm not very creative. I sat there for quite awhile trying to think of something.. Then I guess it just sort of hit me I guess! One of my favorite things during the summer is to be on the boat at night and see the phosphorescence.. Last summer one of my uncles took me and some other people out on his boston whaler around midnight. They were looking for shooting stars but I kept getting distracted by the phosphorescence. I just love it! When I first saw it I was 12 years old and on a yacht club cruise. My stepdad was talking about it and I thought it sounded boring or something.. I remember just wanting to go back to the boat and go to bed. But he got me to stay by saying how it would look like Tinkerbell was in the water since I was obsessed with Peter Pan. I still like to think of phosphorescence as fairies swimming around. Anyway, when I finally came up with an idea for Maria's contest I got really excited. I'm still so excited that my idea won and that other people like it! Okay, enough of my rambling. Here are a couple pictures. I don't have many yet, I've had a hard time getting new ones. It's been very dark and cloudy here. The only day it was sunny was my birthday on Friday, but the wind was terrible! I tried taking a few pictures when I wasn't busy, which is what these are. I will add more pictures when I get them! I just couldn't wait any longer to post this though.

Barielle Falling Star

Good morning everyone [: This is my only Barielle polish and I finally got around to trying it yesterday. It's a little messy, I left my house about 5 minutes after I put on my topcoat so I didn't do any cleanup.

I can't decide what I think of Falling Star. It's definitely unique.. But I don't really like it on me. I just can't decide. I think I might take it off today. Tonight I'm going out to dinner with my parents and my favorite aunties and uncles for my birthday and I want to have on a polish that I LOVE.

If I do change my polish I'll try to post it tomorrow if I am home. Tomorrow is my actual birthday, I'm turning 19, and I don't really want to be at home on my birthday. If not I can post it on Saturday. I'm really trying to post more often again :D I've missed blogging!

Nubar Pasadena Purple

Goooooood morning! I'm very cheery today. I got to see my favorite aunts and uncles 3 days in a row which was great. I will get to see them again in a few days for my birthday dinner. Oh man, I'm impatient. I love my birthday. I have a friend who doesn't like anybody knowing when it's her birthday.. I think she's insane. I like having MY day. Haha.

On Friday I got Nubar Pasadena Purple in the mail. I immediately took off Zoya Buffy to try it. This purple is amazing!!! I got so many compliments on it over the weekend. My aunties loved it and so did many of my classmates. I think we are supposed to do pedicures tonight at class so I will bring it with me.

Ohh it's so pretty!! Purple is one of my favorite colors and I think just might be my favorite purple polish from my collection.

Zoya Buffy & OPI Princesses Rule

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. It's actually sunny here which is actually bumming me out. The yacht club's first cruise of the year is this weekend and I don't get to go since I have class tomorrow. Normally I wouldn't mind but my new teacher wastes SO MUCH TIME. So I'll be sitting there doing nothing thinking about how I could be out on a boat with some of my favorite people. Bleh. Oh well! I'll live. Only 6 weeks left of class! Yay!

Okay, back to polish.

I've had on Zoya Buffy for a few days now. It was 1 of my 3 free from the Zoya Facebook giveaway thingy. I picked it for the name. I've been watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer a lot the last couple months. I'm watching it right now actually.

This is 3 coats of Zoya Buffy.. then on my ring fingers I added 2 coats of OPI Princesses Rule. Now, Buffy isn't a color I would have ever picked out. Like I said, I chose it for the name. But when I did my nails on Thursday I wasn't feeling very happy and I didn't want my usual bright polish but I didn't want dark either since that's what my teacher has been making us wear at school. So I decided to try Buffy and I actually like it more than I thought I would.

Butter London Macbeth

Good morning everyone! I'm trying to quickly get this post up before I head out to go ice skating with my grandma. So, today I have pictures of Butter London Macbeth for you. My school just got a bunch of Butter London polishes in to use on the clients days next month. My teacher wanted to grade our written exams without distractions I guess so she had us paint each others nails and see how we liked the polishes and stuff. I chose Macbeth and another student applied it. She said the application was great.

Ohh my nails look awful in these pictures I think. They're still very weak and damaged from the first 3 months of the course. Anyways, I loved this color. Unfortunately it chipped like crazy before I'd even had it on a full 24 hours.

I also feel like letting you all know I totally picked this polish for the name. It made me think of this one episode of Blackadder.
