Tigger, Tilly and Trip Thomas

First Step

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sun, 15 Sep 2013 16:10:00 +0000

Trip has been working up to taking her first step and has finally done it! Her first step was actually a few weeks ago (at 15 months!) but just got a video of a tiny step.

First, here's a video from August of her crab walking - getting ready.

And here she is taking a tiny step. This is also funny because Papa TT scolds her - she'd been screaming a lot that day so he admonished her. Her face is so funny as she processes it!

Family Photo Shoot for Trip

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Fri, 30 Aug 2013 15:21:00 +0000

Back in July we did our traditional family photo shoot to celebrate the milestone first birthday. Just like we did for Tigger and Tilly. Here are the pics - can't believe Trip is one!!

Bucket of shapes

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Fri, 19 Jul 2013 19:23:00 +0000

Last night Trip was playing with the same toy Tilly has played with so I grabbed the camera. I think the funniest part is the beginning - notice how she reaches down and grabs her pacifier with her mouth, not her hands:)

Trip's First Birthday

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Wed, 03 Jul 2013 01:06:00 +0000

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Trip's first birthday with a low key family get together.

Trip got her own smash cake:

While Tigger and Tilly helped me decorate the big cake for everyone else.

So pretty!

We had hamburgers and fries - the same meal Papa TT and I had on our way to the hospital to deliver Trip.

Our beautiful birthday girl!

The whole family was there to celebrate - Meema, Uncle Michael, Aunt Lorelei and the cousins. G-Ma T, G-Pa T, Aunt Meghan, Uncle Todd and the kids' newest cousins joined via Facetime!

I guess she enjoyed it! And I guess Tigger wanted what was left!

Happy Birthday beautiful girl!! I can't believe it's been a year!

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sun, 30 Jun 2013 00:19:00 +0000

Several weeks ago (this post is a bit late) Trip went for her one year checkup. She is doing great! Her stats are:

Height: 29 1/4 inches (50%)
Weight: 18 lb 15 oz (25%)

And here is the final comparison pic. Trip at birth:

And at one year old:

So big!!!

Walking with help

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sun, 23 Jun 2013 01:35:00 +0000

Things have been so crazy lately but I promise I will catch up on the blog! Here are some videos from a few weeks ago. Trip was walking with her walker toy and Tigger and Tilly were being so sweet to help her!

Isn't that just so warm and fuzzy sweet? Check out this video from a little later, when Tigger and Tilly hijacked that same toy and were running around like crazy:

Trip just sat back and smiled. She loves watching them!

Her First Tooth!!

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sat, 18 May 2013 12:51:00 +0000

Trip finally got her first tooth! It actually came in about two weeks ago (at 11 months old!) but we only just now got a pic. Here it is!

We have fun

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Fri, 17 May 2013 00:52:00 +0000

We have fun at our house. Between racing dump trucks, musical lips....

....and tickles, we all have fun!

Tigger does gymnastics

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Wed, 15 May 2013 02:39:00 +0000

The kids do all sorts of activities at daycare - soccer, gymnastics, spanish. Last Friday was the last gymnastics class of the year so they invited the parents to watch.

Tigger did all sorts of stretching....

..then got a little overwhelmed with all the attention. So he decided to sit on my lap and watch his friends do gymnastics.

But he got a great medal at the end of class - he loved it. We were very proud of our little gymnast:)

She's a mover

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Tue, 14 May 2013 02:31:00 +0000

You would not believe how fast Trip is mastering this whole getting around thing. She stands like a pro! Here she is playing with her big brother:

And learning to walk:

And of course she's super smart. She even figured out Tigger's race track:

Mother's Day

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Mon, 13 May 2013 02:11:00 +0000

The kids' daycare had everyone make Mothers's Day gifts - they were so cute! The best part was this questionnaire they had to fill out about their mommy. Their teachers asked them questions and wrote down their answers. It is too funny:

From Tilly:
My mommy is ______ years old -I think my brother knows
My mom's favorite color is pink.
My mom's favorite food is strawberries and chocolate (I'm pretty sure that's hers).
My mom always says Go play. (I don't really say it that much!)
My mom cooks the best pasta.
My mom's job is on her computer.
My mom laughs when I smile.
My mom and I like to give hugs.
My mom really loves to tickle me.
I love my mom because she laughs at me.

From Tigger:
My mommy is 60 years old.
Her favorite color is black. (he clarified for me that black is HIS favorite color).
When I am at school my mommy is working at a hotel.
When I wake up in the morning my mommy is getting ready for work.
At night we eat dinner.
I love when my mommy cooks marshmallows.
My favorite thing about my mommy is her clothes.

Today Papa TT treated us to chocolate donuts for breakfast and the kids loved it! Uncle Michael and Papa TT made lunch for all us moms and the cousins had a great time playing. It was great! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Trip's 3 Yr Checkup

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Thu, 09 May 2013 14:15:00 +0000

Tilly went in last week for her 3 yr checkup and everything looks great! Her stats are:

Height: 35 7/8 inches (10-25%)
Weight: 28.5 lb (25%)

I was out of town for work so Papa TT took a picture for me. Tigger had to get a couple shots too so he is all up to date for kindergarten this fall. Here they are waiting for the nurse to come with the shots:

Tilly is 3!!

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Tue, 30 Apr 2013 19:12:00 +0000

We just celebrated Tilly's third birthday and we had a blast! We went to a local park and invited her family and friends, including her class from daycare. The weather was perfect and we all had fun!

Papa TT doing double duty:

The theme was April showers so the cake had a rainbow and the cupcakes had umbrellas. The icing on the cake melted a little bit:( It was starting to warm up by the time we sang to Tilly.

Ms. Jellybean was there to do face painting and balloon animals. The kids loved her!

Tilly had quite a few presents to open (even though we told guests not to bring them). The destruction:

Her favorite present was the one we got her - a toy grocery cart.

She immediately started putting the toy food Grandma/Grandpa got her into the cart:

Happy Birthday little girl!

Happy Easter!

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sat, 27 Apr 2013 02:49:00 +0000

I'm a little late posting but we had a fun Easter! On Saturday we did an egg hunt in the neighborhood.

The egg hunt was by ages. The girls were first. They wait with Papa TT...

...while Tigger waits with Meema

Papa TT helped Trip

While Tilly does just fine by herself. She kept opening the eggs to check out the loot, before putting it in her basket.

Trip loved banging the eggs together!

And Tilly was happy with her haul!

Next was Tigger's turn. He was a little intimidated by the older kids but brought in a good haul.

There was an Easter bunny at the egg hunt. At first only Trip would agree to sit with her:

Then I convinced Tilly to join Trip but she was not a fan. She's very leary....

And then Tigger agreed to get in the pic but of course I realize now it was so he could make funny faces:)

We rested up after the egg hunt then worked on Easter cupcakes. They loved putting the peeps on top!

The next day the kids woke up to an Easter basket hunt. They're so smart they found them in no time!

Even Trip found hers in no time!

Uncle Michael, Aunt Lorelei and the cousins came over and we managed to get a pic of everyone.

And there was playing with all the loot!

Good times:)

Trip's dress may look familiar. Tilly wore it two years ago:

Crawling and Learning to Stand

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Mon, 01 Apr 2013 02:40:00 +0000

I start almost every blog with this but Trip is getting so big! She's starting to crawl with her belly off the ground and LOVES to pull herself up to standing.

Here she is working on pulling herself up to standing:

She's learning to use the furniture to stand...

And is practically crawling on all fours!

Isn't she beautiful?!?!?

The kids are so smart!

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sat, 16 Mar 2013 18:53:00 +0000

The kids are so smart!! And growing up!! Tigger is doing math, Trip is clapping and Tilly is a performer.

First we got Trip a walker and she loves standing with it! Her funny face in some of the pictures is because the papparazzi flash was so bright:)

Second, check out how Tilly covered herself with her toys during a recent nap. Impressive huh?

And finally, here are some recent videos. I caught Trip clapping just at the very beginning of the second video. She's now doing it all the time!

9 month checkup

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Wed, 06 Mar 2013 19:42:00 +0000

Trip went for her 9 month checkup and despite having a rash she was happy as a clam! Her stats were:

Height - 27 1/4 inches (25-50%)
Weight - 16.8 lb (10-25%)
Head circumference - 44.2 cm (50-75%)

The doctor said her rash was just some virus that will run its course. Since she had a rash she stayed home with me today. Here's a pic of her helping me unload the dishwasher.

First Word

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Thu, 28 Feb 2013 02:17:00 +0000

It's like Trip is on a trajectory recently to grow up fast! She has started babbling and we've discerned two words - Mama and Dada. She's all about Dada in this video though we believe she started with Mama. We'll call it a tie for her first word:)

Standing

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Mon, 25 Feb 2013 15:37:00 +0000

Last night during the bedtime routine, Trip was trying to stand up off Meema's lap. So we pulled over a toy and she pulled herself up! She showed off her standing and posed for some pictures. So big!!

I love my big brother

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Fri, 22 Feb 2013 02:47:00 +0000

Tigger is turning into such a great big brother. He is so sweet with Trip - just the other night he decided to get her a book and share it with her:

And last weekend (when they were supposed to be napping) I heard noises from the room they share. They were playing together through the crib slats. It was so cute! I wish I'd gotten more before Tigger noticed me.

On the move

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Mon, 18 Feb 2013 02:28:00 +0000

Trip is moving now - she can really get around with her army-belly crawl. Here she is making progress in the hall....

...then proceeding into the bathroom. Yes, that's Tilly saying that Trip has to stay in the bathroom so she won't be lonely:)

8 Months

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Mon, 04 Feb 2013 19:54:00 +0000

Oh my goodness Trip is 8 months old!!!! She's growing up so fast - in fact she's just started scooting. I'll post a video as soon as I can capture it. It's so funny - like an army/belly move using just her arms.

Here is her 8 month pic, along with the one of her just a few days old.

Our performers

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Thu, 31 Jan 2013 02:50:00 +0000

We all know Tilly is the extrovert of the family. The other day she grabbed Trip's ring-stacking toy and turned it into a microphone. Don't worry, I don't know what she's saying either:

Not to be outdone, Tigger had to give a performance too. Thankfully he has inspiration from his new preschool and their challah songs!

A sippy cup

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Mon, 28 Jan 2013 02:56:00 +0000

Last night we decided (ok, decided after the prodding and suggestions from day care) to give Trip a sippy cup. She was game and liked playing with it. She didn't actually suck any formula out of the sippy cup but she will definitely learn over time. Such a smart girl!

I'll close the post with some pics of Tigger and Tilly playing with their sunglasses. Trip doesn't have a monopoly on being cute!!

Papa TT's Birthday

noreply@blogger.com (Mama TT) — Sun, 27 Jan 2013 02:49:00 +0000

A few weeks ago we celebrated Papa TT's birthday. Tigger and Tilly were a great help - they loved coloring his birthday card and decorating the cupcakes...

The two at the bottom are Tigger and Tilly's creation:

They even wanted to help open his presents!

All in all the kids were a big help wishing Papa TT a happy birthday (Trip slept through the festivities but woke up afterwards and gave Papa TT a big grin!).
