Tips 14: Modifying List of File Gallery

Just as the list submission, file gallery list on TikiWiki is also not designed in a certain manner so that only certain users are able to view a list of files gallery. The understanding is like this, suppose you have an image file that you upload to the file gallery, then the image file will be visible through the gallery file lists by all users who have access to the file's gallery. Basically, as long as you upload a file to the file gallery, that file will be visible for anyone to see it. The difference, in TikiWiki, because it is collaborative, then the file can be shared to anyone, even possibly be edited by anyone as well.

Tips 13: Modifying List Submission on Article Object

If you enable the CMS or article features in TikiWiki, then every time you are done editing the articles that are submitted (via tiki-edit_submission.php), TikiWiki will inevitably redirect you to a list called List Submission (via tiki-list_submission.php). List submission contains articles that have been submitted and then still in approval process. During this process, a user can do the editing. In this case, the user that has the right to edit is the user that is authorized by the administrator to edit the submitted articles.

Each time an object is opened, TikiWiki can calculate, how many times the object was opened. It can be seen from the page counter of that object. For example, for object article, page counters is performed by the field nbreads of tiki_articles table that will count every visitor who opens an article page. The counter will never decrease, it will even continue to increase when a visitor opens that article page. In the object file galleries, page counter is calculated through the field hits.

Tip 6: Modifying Maximum Upload File Size in the File Gallery

By default, the maximum uploaded file size on Tiki depends on the initial setting of the php.ini file on the server. With this uploaded file size setting of the php.ini, we can set the maximum number of bytes of files to be uploaded. This does not impair an issue if we have set up our own server so that we can set a maximum number of file size that is uploaded. Problems will arise if we rent a server at a webhosting, which setting maximum size of file to be uploaded depends on the webhosting which we rent.

Knowing How The SEFURL in Tiki Works

You have known Tiki SEFURL already in the previous tips. Tiki stores the SEFURL records internally in the table named tiki_sefurl_regex_out of Tiki database. On the other side, externally, Tiki has created file named _htaccess, which works in the APACHE environment (Server side. To get this _htaccess works, rename it to .htaccess.) To get the SEFURL works, both file .htaccess and table tiki_sefurl_regex_out must be matched together.
