The most useful feature I’d like to highlight is the new (and really awesome) “Content Aware” filter, which recreates portions of the missing image with it’s own “guess work.”

The video below demonstrates how the Content Aware Filter works.

I’ve noticed something. Apple launched the new iPad. The device runs the mobile Safari web browser which does not support flash. Best browsing experience ever? I think not.

However, I’ve been reading a lot about all these companies preparing for the launch of the iPad with HTML5 content. In a nutshell, one of HTML5 features allows for native video playback within the browser, instead of relying on plug-ins like Flash to play video. ABC, CBS, Netflix and even Hulu are preparing to offer HTML5 video to allow playback in Safari. I find it interesting as to how quickly HTML5 video is being adapted for the web. This is a clear indication to me that the web is definitely evolving towards this new standard. Is this the death of flash as we know it?

Yes, the rumors are true! I have a new website. Plain and simple, this site was designed to show off display all my new portfolio items and to inform and engage users. The site was created using a combination of XHTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript and jquery, along with WordPress to power the blog you are currently reading. I’m hoping to update the site and my portfolio from time to time, so check back and see what’s new.
