Now according to urban dictionary a sophistacrat is something bad, just like every other definition in the urban dictionary. However being that I am one, I’d like to turn it into something cool. This app, does that.

Occasionally, I go through spurts of loving classical music,  checking the web for the hot new gallery openings in town. Well with this app, you can browse beautiful art from local galleries through your iPhone.

Michael Jordan, the former miracle worker from the Chicago Bulls, (greatest player to play the game according to his many championship rings and the large number of fans that still wait in line to this day for his basketball shoes), married Yvette Prieto this last weekend in April. Mr. Jordan met the 35 year old Cuban model, at a night club in Miami back in 2008. He better not let the republicans in Florida find out he married a Cuban. Wait she was once a registered republican but recently changed her registration to Independent. The couple was married at The Episcopal Church of Bethesda by the Sea, which a beautiful historic protestant church in Palm Beach, Florida. Tons of celebrity guest, including Spike Lee and Robin Thicke, sorry you were not invited! The bride’s dress was a handmade French silk, with Swarovski crystals mermaid style gown by J’Aton Couture, with an exotic long train accentuated with peacock feathers.

however there is one field that it is not okay to date outside of, and that is “HEIGHT”.

 If a guy is shorter than you, or a girl is taller than you than it is not okay? Who made that rule and why? What difference does it make? Why must the man always be taller? Does a man who is within his abilities to be a great man and take care of his family, provide for his wife and kids -must their be a height requirement? Why is the rule in 2013 still the same as it was in the 1950′s when love equality was nonexistent. Do you stand for love equality? OR only when the woman is shorter than the man?

If your allergies didn’t start until Saturday night, don’t worry mine didn’t either. Saturday night, after taking a long drive back from an event in Macon, GA, I felt like I was coming down with something. My symptoms included a sore throat, sneezing and just an overall feeling of “ick”. It wasn’t until I woke up Sunday morning, driving to brunch that I saw the culprit — a yellowish green coating over everything as far as the eye can see, even my car in my parking garage was covered with this yellowish green dust. That is when I knew, what I had to do next! Go to my local pharmacy, whip out my driver’s license and ask for the highest count box of Allegra -D that they have behind the counter. Then, I signed something stating that I would not build a meth lab using this box of 15 count pills or start selling them to minors out of my condo. Also, they put me in the National Meth Lab Federal Checklist, where they run surveillance on my house on a regular basis. Conclusion:: It is far more difficult to buy Allegra D than multiple rounds of ammunition around here geez!

I’m sure you all have read the tips for dealing with our 2067 pollen count, but really there is not much you can do, but try & avoid it!

1- Stay indoors as much as possible, sorry kids no kickball this month!

2- Wash pets off as soon as they come in – remember even your Fido can be suffering with allergies this season

3-Wash yourself off as soon as you come in, the pollen gets in your hair, then spreads to your pillows, (Tips:: For ladies who want to keep your hair color fresh or not dry out your natural hair by daily washes try just running a warm damp cloth over your hair when you come in or spray in a generous amount of leave-in conditioner and brush that pollen out, trust me, it’s in there! )

4- Don’t yell at any friends that say, “Hey have you tried (their favorite over counter drug – usually Claritin or Zyrtec)?”. We understand you are trying to be helpful, but I have suffered from allergies all my life, unless you would like to suggest something that is still in trial stages, just listen to me complain, don’t tell me how Benadryl works for you, it just pisses me off, since NOTHING works for me. Yes, I have tried Claritin, Zyrtec and Benadryl, I usually take all three with breakfast before my Allegra D pill, and an Advil Cold & Sinus for a snack.

5-Over the counters work great, but Rx’s rock! Try Flonase or some nasal sprays if your allergies are as vicious as mine, usually your doctor may have something that  can help you make until summer, that you have not tried.

6- Stay hydrated, drink way more water than usual!

7- Grab a SARS mask for any time you aren’t ashamed too, especially for yard work.

8-Get the humidity up in your home! I sleep with a humidifier in my bedroom, it feels like a cool rain forest in there, it was the best purchase I ever made! I purchased a Vick’s Humidifier about $21 bucks, will help you sleep if you suffer like I do.

9- Never leave home without tissue, that could be very embarrassing!

10- Keep windows closed, I know your husband may want to get a nice breeze through the house, since its so nice out, but if he wants you to survive, keep the windows closed, and make sure to check your air filter, you may want to change it out more frequently, since that is the only think helping your a/c unit filter out the pollen coming inside.

11- Homeopathic remedies maybe the way to go for first time allergy suffers or those with light symptoms, I suggest trying the drops you put under tongue from Whole Foods, also there is a sublingual pill that works great as well – All Natural!

**I really hope my friends who suffer with Asthma take extra precautions this spring and be safe!

After an amazingly well put together performance at this year’s Grammy Awards, Justin Timberlake’s new album released today.

So if you are a fan of a very well dressed man in a suit and tie, with smooth dance moves reminiscent of Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr.’s Rat Pack, go buy it and tell me what you think.

The Bahamas has several islands about 365 islands, that’s an island for everyday of the year! The main islands that most of us fly to or port via cruise ship is usually Nassau or Freeport, however the Exumas are where you need to be in order to visit the famous swimming pigs.There are no excursions that I have found that take you to the pigs from Nassau, it is too far by boat for a day trip, there are excursions that take you to the Exumas however they don’t visit anything past Fowl Cay which is the area you need to be in. Bahamas.com is offering free companion flights or $300 off flights to the Out Islands from Nassau, so that is an option, to spend a few nights in Exumas, or as the Out Islanders call it, “the Real Bahamas”!

From mainland Exuma there are boat excursions:  Such as Four C’s Adventure – the Four C’s  has great reviews on my favorite site Trip Advisor, they stop at a variety of cays and sandbars, including Thunderball Grotto from the James Bond film.

-This school is comprised of mostly black kids, around 818 students, only 57 teachers.

-The parents are extremely angry at this point that they still have not seen their children and it is 4:40pm

The parents were told “There was a shooting, the victim was 14 years old, and they are asking the parents to NOT come pick up their kids.” Every major news station reported this. This same amount of news has swarmed for hours.

A reporter, we will just call him, “Morris” finds a parent, Carla Burke, standing outside the school waiting, Ms.Burke spoke with her child via his cellphone.

The conversation went like so:

MORRIS: “Can you tell me what your son told you, or did you get a text or tell me”
(as a woman and another man waves at the camera behind her)
BURKE: “um he called me, and they were just screaming when they first called, saying that one of their classmates got shot. And they were running in the connection building and closed the door. And then we got disconnected. But I called him back and he was like, his teacher was telling him to hang up the phone. I told him just do what your teacher told you to do and ya’ll just get down and hide. So he just called me back and said that they’re fine and they told him, they are going to let them go in a little bit.”
MORRIS: “they’ll let him go in a little bit…”
BURKE: But this has been going on for months. The other day a child was standing over there getting stumped by one of his other classmates. Kids come from Carver standing on the corner, just to fight these kids. This is just ridiculous, something has to be done. The only time something is going to get done, is when something like this happens and that’s a shame! My son doesn’t even want to come back to school, they’re scared for their life. They stop playing sports because they’re getting threatened if they win a game. Its just too much going on at once, and when you try to get them to address the problem, they don’t, they have like one officer up here everyday.”
MORRIS: What what were those seconds like when you got that first phone call, and all of a sudden he was told to hang up the phone, what were those seconds like???

I think Morris will be leery the next time he asked about someones feelings LIVE on camera….

MORRIS: “Ma’am, ma’am, let me talk to you for a second ma’am, Morris Diggs, Fox 5 we’re on live, were you able to get any answers from the police? ”

Ma’am: “We don’t know NOTHING! You see they ain’t letting us through, they ain’t tell us s%#*, they said they was gone get our children two hours ago! Where is our children now? Then they said they is counseling them, we can’t counsel our own f*@!%ing children!”

How’s that for feelings Fox 5? 

Fox 5 News Atlanta —I am wagging my finger at this “feelings and sensitivity reporting” this new style of reporting doesn’t give anyone facts, usually, the people that are asked these questions are usually caught off guard.

Maybe if the newscasters stuck to finding out the Who, What, When, Where or How, we’d know more at the moment. Do your job newscasters! Thank you.
