hello, thank you for sharing this amazing documentation. I am currently looking for any docs or old photos of mid century modern LDS churches in the San Gabriel Valley areas (suburban neighborhood East of L.A.) for a book I’m putting together. If you have anything like this that you can share with me or, if you find anything on it in the future, I greatly apreciate it and be happy to reference you as a source in the book. Still wiping away belly laugh tears from reading the South Pass incident. Pure hilarity! You are a gifted writer in my humble opinion. I learned about your blog from ldsingles.com. I was instantly smitten with the whole Grettir persona from the “gecko” but unfortunately you haven’t logged on for nearly a month now and my message to you remains unread. SO being the adventurous type and risk taker that I am, I googled tiny pineapple, thinking it might take me to a Nickelodean website where I might learn interesting trivia about SpongeBob’s underwater home. (Hey, it’s just as plausible as your explanation) but instead found a delightful story and kitchsy pictures to boot. I don’t do Twitter or Facebook as I’m still in the Stone Age technologically. (you may call me Wilma Flintstone) but I think I’d like to become part of your fan base here on your website. If you do ever venture back to LDS singles and you’re current enough to read messages, I’d hope you’d give my profile a perusal. My login name is tandemonium. It kind of looks like she is trying to use the can as a “thai phone” but needs a string. And someone on the other end. Also, crushed pineapple puts me in the mind of jello salad with suspended-animation curds of cottage cheese.
