Pantone released their annual color report for spring 2013, featuring bright hues of greens, reds and blues. Spring 2013 is being referred to as a “balancing act” according to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. She says, “…we look for balance between light and bright, classic and new. This season’s color palette emphasizes this need for balance, while at the same time allowing for individuality, self-expression and excitement.”

Topshop Coming to Your Mall!

Topshop may be coming to a neighborhood near you in the near future. The store’s exec Sir Philip Green just inked a deal with investment group Leonard Green & Partners (LGP) to expand the retailer’s reach within three to four years with the sale of a 25% stake.

For starters, the British retailer will continue its partnership with Nordstrom where it has 14 in-store locations but will open the first U.S.Topshop and Topman stores in Los Angeles on February 14 with a possible Manhattan Flagship in the future.

The businessman talked to Women’s Wear Daily about the deal and revealed that there may be up to 50 stores that could hit malls across the U.S. “[LGP] feels that we can go into at least 50 cities,” he said. “We’ve never thought of that.” The new deal leaves open many possibilities, but we’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll see more of the British designs!

Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades Unveiled at Design Miami

Louis Vuitton return to its origins as a travel company, introducing a new collection of travel furniture and necessities earlier this week.

Unveiled at Design Miami this week, the Objets Nomades, which range from a hanging leather hammock to a folding beach chair and a neck pillow, have been designed by a number of collaborating designers commissioned by the French luxury giant.

Atelier Oïd, Campana Brothers,and Constance Guisset are a few of the products’ designers, which are on display now at the Louis Vuitton Pop Up in Miami’s Design District.

No word on when the products, many of which are still in prototype, will be available for sale, following a tour themselves to select LV stores in Singapore, Tokyo, Taipei, London, and Paris and Soho.

Best Dry Shampoo EVER!!!

So... here's my cheap trick!

I spent years and tons of $$ on dry shampoo... it's like $17 on a bottle of dry shampoo and they smell yucky!

I now spend about 3.99 on baby powder... unscented is better but you get what you get on sale and that's what you get to work with.

step 1

sprinkle a little bit ( eyeball about a 1/2 - 1/4 teaspoon) into the palm of your hand

step 2

toss into both your palms - kind of evenly

step 3

rub your hands/palms to where your hair is oily... like your part, hair line etc.

step 4

repeat and rub your hands into your hair until you don't see any more white and you're happy with the results.

step 5

style as usual.

so... some people don't like the smell of baby powder or their afraid of to much white powder showing... So what you can do is, do this the night before... do steps 1-4 and than go to sleep on your baby powdered hair.

While you're sleeping, the powder will be absorbed by the oil in your head... and when you wake up, your hair will be oil free as well as white baby powder and baby powder smell free.
