METHOD 1:

• Install required drivers which can be found in the CD provided with mobile box or from the internet ( Use official mobile manufactures site or use SoftPedia! ) [ IF YOU ARE ON LINUX/UBUNTU , You don't need any kind of drivers!! ]
• Now connect your android using USB data cable! Make sure your Computer recognize your device!
• Now Navigate to   Settings-> Wireless And Networks -> Tethering and Portable Hotspot  (Path may very as OS version/manufacturer changes)
• Just Tap USB TETHERING and you are done!

• You will see new network adapter created which is connected to the internet!

METHOD 2:

If you don’t want to install drivers and if your computer have Wi-Fi adapter then you can simply use WiFi hotspot which shares mobile data connection wirelessly! To do so follow steps given below!

• Navigate to   Settings-> Wireless And Networks -> Tethering and Portable Hotspot  (Again-Path may very as OS version changes)
• Tap Mobile-AP and you are done! {see the screenshots above ↑ }
• Change security settings,protect your AP with WPA2 security!
• Now scan for wireless APs in your PC ,connect with appropriate AP and Access the internet!!

1. Start Run (shortcut key : win+R) and run “msconfig”
   

   Run msconfig

    

2. Goto Startup tab
   

   Run -> msconfig -> Startup

    

3. Deselect every unwanted programs and you’re done !

It was so easy isn’t it. You want more geeky way to do this ? here it is by editing registry.

The Geek Style

1.Start Run (shortcut key : win+R) and run “regedit”

2.Explore the registry separately 

For local user registries  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\

and

 For all users registries HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\

3.Delete the values of programs you don’t need to Startup.

Although you can add values to Startup  your own programs !

RightClick->New->StringValue

Give it a name  and RightClick to modify the value.Value should be a valid execution command. Common format of execution command for non-geeks  “path to .exe” <argument> path is better written within double quotes however arguments may be optional

Java is an Object Oriented programming language.After the C family (C family nothing but C , C++ ,C#,Objective C,many more languages based on “C” but i like that  ”C family”) its great to learn for fun. The best thing about Java is its flexibility and safety. Let me explain the flexibility in terms of coding, you can write code and compile on any system and create some binary files. In case of Java the compiled binary file executes on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) not like ordinary binaries which executes on the system itself. So if there is a JVM present in any system the Java program or application would work on it. It’s like “Compile once and Run everywhere”.

For Your Information (FYI) : GUI of the Android is written in Java, still the core is based on C.

Here you go for Developing and tweaking with Java.

You’ll need three major stuff to jump into the Java,

The first and the most important : BRAIN (I hope you have it)

The Second thing is JavaDevelopingKit : JDK contains “ javac”  the compiler,and JRE as well.

Windows users download and install JavaDevelopmentKit

Linux users can download and install OpenJDK by following commands in the terminal.

For Debian based (i.e. Ubuntu)

sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk

You can replace “7″ with other new versions (if available)

For Fedora,Oracle Linux,Red Hat:

su -c “yum install java-1.7.0-openjdk-devel”

Further config is not required for Linux users.It was quite easy huh ?

OSX users don’t need this JDK to install it’s pre-installed.

Third is a Code Editor  :It’s nothing but a text editor like notepad or gedit.If you want that your code it well formatted and good looking try  Notepad++     that’s really good

When you have all these things above mentioned wake me up zzzzz………. zzzz…….. zz…… z……………. (LoL)

First try to make a very basic “Hello World” style Program.

Open a text editor and write the code below to test.

class NameOfYourClass {

public static void main(String[] args){

System.out.println(“I’m in Java”);

}

}

Save it as NameOfYourClass.java  keep in mind class name must match both sides in the text and file’s name.

Now we should compile this code in order to run it. If you have installed JDK on Windows still you have to PATH it so you can write code in CMD (or DOS) that compiles the file.

Let’s PATH the JDK. (Only for Windows users)

Do this after you have read this whole part

Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Setting -> Environment Variable

Now you can see the PATH option in “System Variable” ,so just add the path of “bin” folder inside the JDK folder.(Don’t change anything else that may cause system failure)

Quite complicated ?

If you have installed jdk to “C:\Program Files\JDK” then write this “C:\Program Files\JDK\bin\” (without quotes) and don’t forget the “\” at the end.

And yes add a Semicolon (;) to separate paths.

You can path as well by command prompt:

PATH is the environment variable for storing PATH directories on windows as well as Linux. We’ll add path of JDK\bin to it.This is how it goes

Check if there is a semicolon present at the last. The command “echo %PATH%” will write down what is present in the PATH variable if there is not a “;” symbol at the last that means you’ll have to add one.

Now let us change the PATH variable using “setx“.

If there is not ; present at the last write

 setx PATH “%PATH%;C:\jdk\bin”

If there is a ; present at the last

 setx PATH “%PATH%;C:\jdk\bin”

And you’re done !

To test

Write “javac” (without quotes) on cmd or terminal and if it shows many of lines filled with how to use javac, it means you’ve properly PATH the jdk bins.

Why PATH ?

PATH is an environment variable that tells the shell (cmd,powershell,terminal or any other) which directories to search executable files.

So it was like a definition what it really does for us is removes the head and hand ache of leading the shell to the binary file always when we need it.

PATH is widely considered as most important environment variable so beware and don’t mess with it !

Time To Compile

Open command prompt \ or terminal.

First you must have to navigate the terminal to the right place where your program is saved.

Use “cd <path>” to navigate (Trick :  ”use tab key”)

Write ”javac NameOfYourApp.java” to compile.If your screen is not flooded with errors and warnings ,it means you’ve written a code that works.

Successful compilation would make a file named NameOfYourApp.class

Write “Java NameOfYourClass” to run that program you’ve just compiled .

Now you’re done with compiling and running a very basic Java program.

MANUAL METHOD:

• open run and type regedit
• Locate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ System]
• Find for DisableTaskMgr double click and change its value to 0

1= Task Manager Disable

0=Task Manager Enable

Reboot your computer to apply changes in Registry! And you are done!

USING A UTILITY:

Every portable media player (like Walkman) have their specific file system which must not be changed.The file system is a method how the data is being stored in a device or HDD.If you change  the file system while formatting a portable media player, it may result a device failure or get a restart every time you start, means it won’t work as a media player but just as flash drive.Still you can change the file system as well.

Here is how you can format without changing the file system:

• If you change such options you may get a “Restore device defaults” button so just click it before starting.It is not a necessary but avoid changing name (“Volume Label”) because in some case that causes a problem.
• Before clicking next make sure the file system is “Default”

you can  format flash drive with different formats like NTFS,FAT32,exFAT………

Why are too many file systems in there ??? and What’s different between them ???

FAT32 is an old file system which does not allows a single file bigger than 4294967295   (2³²−1) Byte (4gigs) it’s commonly used as a primary file system with old Windows (like 98 and XP),check Wikipedia for more

NTFS allows much larger files than FAT32,and more popular now.So if you’re having error on copying   file >4 gig on flash drive that there’s no space then format it with NTFS file system.

Many times we need to change image resolution, If picture is too big sized or clicked by any Hi-Resolution camera. It is harder to attach those pictures with mail or uploading somewhere having low web space by clouds or something like that.

Windows Paint is built in software in all windows and we can re-size picture with it very easily.

Lets have an example

• This picture is sized 2.85 MB and having 4608 x 2592 resolution which is too big!

• Now open that picture in Paint.
• In windows 7 you will find RESIZE under HOME tab.If any other OS you can get it from menu bar.CLICK IT! You will see like this.Click on Pixels if you want to resize by pixels.Write desired values and click OK.

• Save it and see its size!

Generally ISP provides internet you to your specific MAC address so if you change the LAN card or Computer or connect a router you must register the MAC address of the new connected device to the ISP otherwise internet won’t connect on the device !!! Too bad huh ….. don’t worry it won’t be harrsing you anymore

Here is the simplest way to escape from these process of MAC registration,

Software Method :

• Download and install  Technitium MAC Address Changer. (there are many more softwares like this but this one is quite accessible) to both new and old system you would use.

• Know the MAC address of your current running system and copy it to the new system,be careful to select right network connection of the internet (or any network you want)
• You’re Done !!!

Easy huh….!!!

Manual Method :

• press WINDOWS + R or open RUN and type regedit

• Now  you shoud see numbers in sequence as “0000″, “0001″ and so on. Click on one at a time to check the description of the device to match it with that of yourNetworkCard. In my case (0011)

•  In the right side look for “NetworkAddress” key value. If you find it, right-click and select modify. Enter the new  MAC Address  ( no “space” “.” or “-”)
• If you don’t find “NetworkAddress”  right-click in the rightpane, select “New” → “String Value”. Enter the name “NetworkAddress”. Now modify and set the desired MAC.

It’s very simple to make such sound using a loop which creates highly amplified high frequency sound.(in short “beep” sound).It’s a GeeKy thing

Here’s How

Step1:Connect  Mic with computer then go for sound settings

Step2:Do as in ScreenShots

Right click on speakers volume icon in taskbar

Select “Recording device”

Go for Listen tab and Check “Listen to this device” box.

Change sound levels to have more powerful noise

You’re done with settings and now you just have to put your mic near the spear and here the freaky noise.

Don’t push it more i mean don’t keep making sound because if you do so it may harm your sound card or blow your speakers (i’m not joking this is serious).

This is very simple thing,

• Insert a Flash Drive (also known as thumbdrive and pendrive,this won’t be working with Portable HDDs)
• It may open an Autoplay where is an option “Speed up my system”(RedyBoost) or you can get it from the Drive’s Properties ->RedyBoost

• Select the amount of the storage you want to use for the ReadyBoost.This will be used by the windows as cache memory which makes your windows faster.

You’re done.Now the windows would store some cache on the drive.

It wasn’t the real kind of geek,it’s an inbuilt function of the Windows but the next one is the real part.

Now another way to speed up by increasing virtual memory,

• Go to System Properties -> Advanced System Setting ->Setting (in performance)->Advanced (tab) -> Change (in Virtual Memory)        
• Uncheck the Automatically manage……… then select any drive other then the C (where you’ve installed the windows.Go for Custom size and select a size to make current allowed size near to recommended size or use the system managed size.

Make sure you have made a Restore point before doing this because this is not recombination by the windows so be alert before doing this.
