Property website Rightmove annouced that in January its average sale price was a lot lower at £165,000.

As of the 21st May 2010 you no longer need an HIP or Home Information Pack when selling your house. Although you still need an EPC or Energy Performance Certificate.

Which in my view is the right decision as lots of people spent their own time and money getting qualified to carry out the EPC assessments and if the EPC was scrapped these people would be out of work.
