Have you ever lost you data in Microsoft Office or any text editor while working on it and having an accidental system crash? Well, this is one situation that we face time to time. To avoid we have to manually save it using hotkey Ctrl+S or using the save button after every update. But this method is sometimes too much irritating as there are times when we may forget. In situations like this AutoSaver comes in handy.

Get XP key inside the setup cd

Following are the STEPS to get the CD key:

Insert XP CD into your computer’s CD/DVD ROM.
Now, browse your Windows XP CD and find the folder I386.
Inside this (I386) folder, find the file named as unattended.txt.
Open unattended.txt by using notepad.
Keep scrolling the file and you will get windows XP CD KEY at the bottom.

Open Command Prompt From Any Folder

Yes, You heard it right.It is possible to launch a command prompt from any folder on your computer. This way when the command prompt opens, it is already in the directory you wish to be in.
(Note: This tutorial involves modifying the Windows Registry and if you do not feel comfortable doing this, please do not continue as we can not be held responsible for any mistakes that are made)

Goto Run and type "regedit".
Next goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Classes/Folder/Shell.
Here, we can see our source location for this guide which is "shell".
Right-click on “shell” and highlight “New” and select “Key”.
It will create the key and allow you to name it. Call it “Command Prompt”.
On the right pane you will see a REG_SZ called default. Double-click on it.
A box will popup where you type the name what you want to appear on the menu when you right-click on the folder in which you want to open the command prompt.
Next, create a new key within our “Command Prompt” Key that we made earlier. To do this right-click in the right pane and hover over new and select “key”.
Name this key “command”.
Once you select “command” you will see the “Default” key on the right. Double click on it to enter in the default data.
Enter this as the default data (withour the quotes) "Cme.exe /k pushd %L".

Now close everything and right-click on any folder. You will be able to see the option of command prompt which will open the prompt with the address of the current directory.

PicItUp

PicItUp is a visual image search engine that combines word-based with color based search.
Test it: search for [autumn] and choose any color from the left column (I chose yellow). Now let’s look at the results.

It is common that you would like to copy and paste the data from excel into other MS office softwares like Word or Power Point. You can usually do direct copy & paste without any problem. Until, you realize that the table in Excel is big enough that when you paste it in Word or Power Point, the table excess the margin available.This could be a stressful process trying to reduce the size of table until it fits to the margin in your word or power point. There are several ways to copy your table as a picture and paste it. Some of them are mentioned below:

Do the print screen and paste it first in MS paint. Then select the table that you want to copy and press Ctrl+C (copy). After that you can paste it.

Copy the table in Excel, then go to Word or Power Point, select Paste Special. After that you can choose paste as image.

Select the table in Excel, then while holding the SHIFT key, click on EDIT menu. It will show an additional sub-menu “Copy Picture”. This “Copy Picture” sub-menu only available when you hold the SHIFT key while clicking on EDIT menu. Try it. After copy the image, then you can paste it wherever you want.

3. Increase Text Area: If you need

more space in a textarea, resize it by dragging the lower right corner.

4. Detach a tab and open it in a new window - just drag the tab outside the active window. You can also add it back to the original window using drag and drop.

Has it ever bothered you that you can't change the size of the icons on your XP desktop? Thankfully they added this ability into Windows Vista, but what are your options in the meantime?

There's a small utility called Deskview that lets you change the icons from regular mode into the smaller "list" mode with a double-click. It's as simple as that.

Download and extract the zipfile, and then double-click on deskview.exe, and your icons will turn from this:

To bring them back to regular mode, just double-click on deskview.exe again.

Disable Adobe Reader Popup For Updates

Most of us use adobe reader for reading pdf documents, the most annoying problem with adobe reader is the pop window which pops up every time you open adobe reader.
You may have pressed the cancel button so many times, but it again pops up when ever you load or start adobe reader.

The pop up window can be stopped by showing up, by disabling updates in adobe reader.

Uncheck the option highlighted in the image above which says: Display notification dialog at startup and click OK.
That’s it Done.

Add Programs To Your StartUp Easily

It occurs sometimes when you may like to add a program to your start up by dragging the program shortcut in All Programs >> Startup
But there is more better way to do it, which could save your time and make it simple. (as seen in the image below)

Yes, you can add a shortcut to your startup folder in the send to menu, and when you want to add any program to startup with windows startup, you can right click on the program shortcut and select Startup.
Let’s see how can you do this tweak.

1. Open Start >> All programs and locate Startup and right click on it to create desktop shortcut to its location.
2. Open the following path in windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\username\SendTo
3. Copy the shortcut of Startup folder and paste it into Sendto folder you have opened.
4. That’s it, After following all the steps above you will see startup folder shortcut in Send To menu.
