Single-game tickets to all 10 Tennessee Titans home games at LP Field will go on sale Saturday, July 18 at 10 a.m. (CST).

Approximately 3,000 tickets for each game will be made available to the public. Fans can purchase a maximum of up to four tickets per game for as many as two games.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting the ticket office at LP field, calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, visiting any Ticketmaster outlet, or logging on to the Ticketmaster web site at www.ticketmaster.com.

Game tickets range from $43-83.

“We are very appreciative of the loyal support of our fans,” said Don MacLachlan, executive vice president of administration and facilities for the Titans. “It’s always a big day for our fans and I’m sure it will be again.”

The Titans have sold out 104 consecutive games since moving into LP Field for the 1999 season, including preseason contests. MacLachlan said season-ticket renewal rates have been strong this offseason.

The 2009 regular season schedule features home game against Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Arizona, St. Louis, Miami and San Diego.

The Titans play preseason games at home against Tampa Bay (Aug. 15) and Green Bay (Sept. 3).

Tennessee’s nationally-televised home game against Indianapolis on Sunday Night Football (Oct. 11) is expected to sell out first, according to Marty Collins, senior director of ticket operations for the Titans.

Collins recommends trying a variety of ways to help secure tickets to your favorite Titans game.

“If you have more than one person that can try to help purchase the tickets, try several sources at the same time,” Collins recommended. “Try online and then maybe one of the ticket centers at Kroger’s, Macy’s or even down here at the LP Field ticket office early that morning.”

Some fans have developed a tradition at LP Field by camping out the night, or even several days, before the tickets officially go on sale.

“We would be thrilled to have them back again at LP Field,” Collins stated. “They have come back each and every year. We say the on-sale day is the start of the season for us. It kind of kicks off that day when fans start camping out the nights before. It says a lot for them to do that each and every year and we are thankful for that.”

Collins expects the number of consecutive sell-outs to increase to 114 and complements the team’s fan base for its support over the last 11 years.

“First and foremost, to our season ticket holders, it’s a great credit,” Collins said. “We have a huge season ticket base that has been faithful now for 11 years in renewing their season tickets. All the other fans that have not been able to purchase season tickets have been very loyal in buying other single-game tickets. We would not be successful without our fans.”

While fans continue to pay tribute to former Titans QB Steve McNair and try to come to grips with his untimely death, there is more news about things that McNair did off that field that do not paint a very good picture of the family man that many thought he was.

It appears that McNair was not only having the affair with the 20-year-old that ended up leading to his passing, but the New York Daily News today reports that McNair had an affair with a stripper:

The former business manager of a Minneapolis strip club told the NY Daily News that McNair had been a frequent visitor to the club and had an intimate and extramarital relationship with an exotic dancer for about six years.

“She liked money and athletes,” the former business manager said on condition of anonymity. “She went out with athletes before. She was one of those girls who said, ‘You’re married? You have kids? So what?’ Lets have fun. “I can tell you that she was very upset when she learned that he had died,” the former business manager added.

While the pretty brunette mourned privately, Titans fans turned out Thursday to pay their last respects to the quarterback who became the face of the team after the Houston Oilers relocated to Nashville in 1997.

It’s sad that McNair’s name is coming out about all these extramarital situations he put himself in, but if nothing else, it should show players today the danger that goes along with it, and the pain that it will cause their families like the pain that McNair’s is going though today.

Warren Moon on Steve McNair dealing with retirement: “Some guys have a problem that they don’t have that structure anymore in their lives. Some people were telling me that Steve was having some problems with his retirement. Even though it’s only been a year, you’re talking about a guy that’s really been used to having that structure. All of a sudden if you don’t have things to do now, all of a sudden your mind starts to wander and maybe you start doing some things that you shouldn’t be doing because you have time on your hands.”

In what ended up being more of an afterthought than a question, Nashville Police Chief Ronal Serpas officially announced today that former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was shot and killed by his 20-year-old girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, in a murder-suicide.

The story that Serpas told the media is that there did not appear to be a struggle, and that it is believed that McNair was sleeping at the time he was shot. Gunpowder residue was found on the fingerprints of Kazemi. The report says that McNair was believed to be sleeping on the sofa when he was shot in the right temple and then twice in the chest and then in the left temple.

Kazemi then shot herself in the right temple and died. It’s being said that Kazemi attempted to shoot herself so she would fall into McNair’s lap, but she fell to the floor instead. The time of the shootings has been estimated between 1 a.m. and 1:45 a.m.

The announcement really became nothing more than a conformation of what was already known. The autopsy on Kazemi Sunday said that it was a “contact shot” that killed her, meaning that the gun was touching her head when it was fired.

Kazemi according to police had told friends that she was thinking about killing herself in the days prior to the incident. She had suspected that McNair was seeing another woman (other than his wife that is). “We believe she had recently learned that McNair was involved with another woman,” Serpas said.

McNair, who was 36, is survived by his wife, Mechelle McNair, and four sons.

It seems that if Steve McNair’s mistress - Sahel Kazemi, thought that she’d have the former QB all to herself and that he and his wife were going to get a divorce, she was…well, wrong.

A friend of McNair, Robert Gaddy, who played football with McNair at Alcorn State, has stated that McNair never spoke of getting a divorce, and that those people that don’t know the facts about the case need to stop talking about it. “People need to quit talking about what they don’t know,” Gaddy told The Tennessean. “Mac never said anything to me about he was going to get a divorce, and ever since this has all happened everybody is trying to paint a certain picture and they need to talk about what they know.”

Kazemi had reportedly told friends and family that McNair told her that he was in the process of getting a divorce from his wife - Mechelle McNair, who he has three children with. Despite the claim, there were no papers anywhere on file that point to Steve and his wife getting a divorce.

There’s been comments from members of Kazemi’s family that they didn’t believe McNair, and that basically he was lying to the 20-year-old. While there still is not an official determination about the case, murder-suicide continues to be the most likely scenario for the deaths of McNair and Kazemi on Saturday.

Since the death of Steve McNair and everything off the field that has gone along with it, there’s another aspect that is starting to be talked about when it comes to McNair - the Hall of Fame.

McNair, a former first-round pick from Alcorn State, had his moments of greatness over his 13-year NFL career, but as the Baltimore Sun points out today, he’s unlikely to make the highest level of a player - the Hall of Fame:

Barring a change of mind by voters, former Ravens quarterback Steve McNair will not be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In The Baltimore Sun’s poll of selectors this week, the three-time Pro Bowl player would fail to gain the 80 percent approval needed for election.

Seventeen of the 24 voters who responded to The Sun - the committee has 44 members - said they did not consider McNair a Hall of Fame quarterback because he lacked elite career numbers. McNair, who was shot and killed Saturday, is eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2013.

Agreed by most, McNair was a very good quarterback, but he’s clearly not on the level of the best ever, and despite the media circus surrounding his sad death, McNair will go down as a good QB, but not one worthy of the Hall.

Details continue to trickle out on the murder/suicide of Steve McNair and mistress Sahel Kazemi. The latest tidbit comes from the Florida Times-Union, which states that McNair and Kazemi had a trip to Las Vegas planned two weeks ago, but McNair stood her up.

Soheyla Kazemi, sister of Steve McNair’s mistress, said she was worried about the age difference between the two but “she never listened to nobody.” Soheyla said she met McNair a month ago when she traveled to Nashville for Sahel’s 20th birthday party. “He was nice,” she said. “He did everything for my daughter.” Soheyla said Sahel had a sad childhood but in recent months “had never been happier.” Two weeks ago, the 20-year-old flew to Las Vegas to meet McNair but McNair never arrived, Soheyla said.

The continued trend is that McNair in different ways seemed to have wanted to pull away from the relationship with Kazemi, and it just seems like the 20-year-old devised a plan to murder McNair, and then herself. More will continue to come out about the last days of McNair’s life.

The Titans are inviting fans to LP Field on Wednesday and Thursday to pay their respects to quarterback Steve McNair, who died on Saturday. A book will be present for fans to leave personal messages, which will be presented to the McNair family. The video boards will be showing highlights from McNair’s career and a large photo mural of his Titans career will be on display. “Mr. Adams thought this would be a fitting place for fans to show their respects to Steve and celebrate his career. LP Field is one of the places where he made so many great memories for so many of our fans,” said Titans Vice President Don MacLachlan.
