Pinterest Challenge #11

2012-03-26T22:30:00.000-07:00

Hello lovelies! It has been quite awhile since my last post. What have I been doing you ask? Well I opened up an Etsy shop! You can find it ---> Here

I also was in my first craft fair with my friend Brittinay {you can find her shop ---> Here}. It was small and nothing to spectacular, but it was a good experience.

On a not so good note I spilled honey ALL over my computer! Yikes! So what normally takes me 5 minutes to type takes me 15. Well looks like I will be buying a new computer soon ;)

But don't worry on my blogging time out I still completed at least one Pinterest challenge! So here it is...

The Inspiration

The Finished Product

Ummm can you say YUM! So this isn't the first time I have made this and this one is a bit different. I made a mexican style version and put salsa verde and some greek yogurt on the side. So good and healthy (minus the melted cheese). I am now making this at least once a week! Truly a must try.

Until next time <3

Hello again Lovelies!

Welcome to another Pinterest Challenge! I has been a busy week and it feels good to end it with some crafting. (as you may be able to tell my work week is strange...)

This I was draw to the project because of my love for bows. Nothing is more feminine and cute than bows!

Take a look for yourself...

Turned out just as I hope it would!

So I say if boy's get bow ties, girls get bow tie necklaces!

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #9

2012-02-21T01:53:00.000-08:00

Well welcome to another Pinterest Challenge week! I must admit I had no idea what I was going to make this week until a couple of hours ago. Even though it was a spur of the moment craft it turned out wonderful.

The inspiration

Source: sincerelykinsey.blogspot.com via Courtney on Pinterest

The finished product

Dare I say that mine is more cute?!?!
The inspiration was a necklace, but I couldn't find a chain that matched the wire, so I made a ring. I didn't dare take a photo of my hand since we all saw my hideous wrist photo a couple of weeks ago. I think this will be a gift for a few :)

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #8

2012-02-17T01:06:00.000-08:00

You didn't think that I forgot to post a Pinterest Challenge this week did you?

Yes, I am a few days later than I normally post but I took this week off from work (my real job that pays me money) and have been getting some much needed rest. :)

Do you know what last Tuesday was? If you said Valentine's Day you are correct, but if you are from around my parts you may also know that it was also Oregon's Birthday! So this weeks Pinterest Challenge is inspired by this great state.

The inspiration

The finished product

Sorry not my best picture taking skills, but it did turn out pretty cute!

So happy birthday Oregon, I am glad to have lived with you my whole life.

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #7

2012-02-06T23:02:00.000-08:00

Wow, I can't believe I have been doing the Pinterest Challenge for 7 weeks already!
I am thinking about a giveaway for week 10, what do think?

Well here is the challenge for this week

Inspiration

Source: abeautifulmess.typepad.com via Courtney on Pinterest

The finished product

This one is not a ten.... maybe a 7. It's cute, but I did run into some issues making this "easy" project. Oh well, I will get a few decent wears out of it.

On a side note, have you ever tried to take a picture of your wrist?!?! Can someone please tell me how to make it not look like a ham hock? :)

Until next time <3

1986

2012-01-31T12:01:00.000-08:00

Today I am linking up to

Yep I am a complete 80's baby and 1986 was a great year for music. Here are some of my favorites

Enjoy!

This last one... two words... Top Gun! How can you not LOVE this?!?!

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #6

2012-01-30T02:19:00.000-08:00

First off I am so excited about all of the positive feedback I have received about the Pinterest Challenge, and how many followers it has brought. So to all those who are new to To Pooses Mooses... Welcome!

But with out further ado...

Pinterest Challenge #6

The finished Product

Ummm can you say LOVE!?!? It turned out just how I hoped it would. Sure there are some changes I would make next time, but it is still cute none the less. And can you say future wedding gifts?!?!

P.S.
Please try and ignore that the 7 is slightly higher than the 10. An artist's eye is never perfect... right? ;)

Crafting menu

2012-01-24T01:28:00.000-08:00

What's on the crafting menu tonight?

Missoni inspired scarves!

Pretty stinking cute!

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #5

2012-01-22T23:46:00.000-08:00

Ello lovelies!

It is time for another Pinterest Challenge post. Featured this week is...

Yarn wrapped letter

Source: etsy.com via Courtney on Pinterest

Yeah I know, it's another letter craft. But did I mention I got a killer deal on the letter blocks, and this is so darn cute!

Here is my version

Once again another winner in my book! But let me tell you these little things are tricky. Getting around those curves and edges were a pain and it took me two times to figure it out, but none the less it was still a good Sunday craft.

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #4

2012-01-17T01:14:00.000-08:00

New week means a new Pinterest Challenge, and for a special treat a fail :)

The challenge this week...

Button Letter

Source: americancrafts.typepad.com via Courtney on Pinterest

Isn't it cute! And buttons hold a special place in my heart, but I am sure most crafters would say that. I also saw something similar on another blog, but I can't remember who or find it :(

Here is my version

I love the way my version turned out. It my not be ALL buttons like the other one, but honestly who can part with all of those buttons?!?! I also love that the C can represent so many things such as:
Create
Craft
or maybe just Courtney :)

Now you are probably wondering about that fail...

I saw this cuteness

Source: julieannart.com via Courtney on Pinterest

Pretty adorable right?!?!

Well this is how mine turned out...

Yep, just a big mess on my desk.
First off these paint chip ideas are a good thought in theory, but I seriously felt like I was stealing from Home Depot. Not okay in my book. But on to why it didn't work. First off they wouldn't lay flat and I didn't like the colors I stole picked out. Those are two big reasons in my book to toss the project.

Look on the bright side, at least I am not out anything besides about a half an hour...

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #3

2012-01-10T02:35:00.000-08:00

Hey there. Time for Pinterest challenge number 3!

Source: delightedmomma.com via Courtney on Pinterest

Well hello adorable super easy clay necklace!
I must admit this is not my first run in with clay, and this is not my first run in with the blogger who this came from. She makes the most adorable easy clay jewelry, so I was pretty excited to see this.

Here is my version

I like. Yep, I just like it. In the words of Cher from Clueless "It's a full on Picasso", from far away it looks alright but when you get up close it is a mess! The lines aren't very straight and the layers are uneven.

Don't get me wrong I will still wear it, I am just not in love with it. I guess not everything can be a 10.

Until next time <3

Pinterest Challenge #2

2012-01-03T02:16:00.000-08:00

Infinity Scarf

I must say I love a good scarf. My cousin and I were talking and she made a good point that a scarf instantly dresses up an outfit...

t-shirt + jeans= boring

t-shirt + jeans + scarf= winner :)

Recently I bought a very cute infinity scarf at a craft show, and don't get me wrong I love it but I paid $35 for it! Yep $35 for a piece of fabric! Not anymore. And then I saw this

Source: vixenmade.blogspot.com via Courtney on Pinterest

Thus came my second Pinterest challenge.

Here is my version...

Here she is! I love it! It turned out just as good as my $35 scarf.

Here I am sans makeup and messy hair enjoying my new scarf!

Until next time <3

Happy New Years

Pinterest Challenge #1

2011-12-31T04:13:00.000-08:00

Hello there!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We had a wonderful holiday here at the Pouliot household.

But enough with that :)

Now that the holidays are over my work schedule winds down as well and I am finding more time on my hands... More time = more crafting!
So when I saw this series on Kayla Danelle, I thought DUH! why didn't I think of that?
So thus starts my own Pinterest Challenge!

Challenge #1

Source: flamingotoes.com via Courtney on Pinterest

I loved this for multiple reasons but mainly because of my wedding.
Remember it? I talked about it here

Well the hubs and I carved our initials on the tree we were married in front of

So it was kind of perfect!

Here is my version

Bad pic, but I loved the way it turned out!

Until next time <3

What I made lately

2011-12-20T02:24:00.000-08:00

I love that I have my sewing machine back before Christmas!

This is what I made lately

Stockings anyone?

I <3 how they turned out! Don't you love when your thought turned out better than you expected?!?!

Until next time <3

Christmas wish list

2011-12-14T13:05:00.003-08:00

I saw this idea on The Daybook and I loved the idea.
I figured I would make one on my own and help the hubs out a little.
I know I won't get everything on here since I already got my Christmas gift
(my sewing machine), but he still needs some stocking stuffers! :)

You may be wondering about number 3 though.
Yes they are shelves, and they are ones that I already own,
but they have yet to be put up.
So that is one of my wishes.

Have you all made your Christmas list yet?

Until next time <3

Wrap it in a bow

2011-12-13T19:37:00.001-08:00

Oh a new website to take up my time... Darn you Polyvore!

But, don't you love this outfit I put together!?!?

Until next time <3

Weekend Excitement!

2011-12-02T05:45:00.000-08:00

I am sooo excited for this weekend

Not only will I be out of town

I will be in Seattle ( one of my top favorite cities)

But

I am going for this

www.urbancraftuprising.com

Seattle's largest Indie craft show!

I plan on taking lots of pics so stay tuned

Until next time <3

Let the sewing begin!

2011-11-22T01:42:00.000-08:00

Here she is...

My new sewing machine!

I love it

It is a Baby Lock Melody

But I think she needs a new name

I will think of one in time

I have so many projects I want to get started on

I can't wait!

I just wanted to share that there is no more sad sewing in this house :)

Until next time <3

Sad Sewing :(

2011-11-14T02:59:00.000-08:00

So my first sewing machine died

yes

DIED!

Cannot be fixed or anything :(

Sad day

It's ok though, I was planning on making the hubs getting me a new one for Christmas ;)

BUT

I have no idea what to get!

I am pretty done with Singer since it died in 6 months

but there are SO many brands out there that I am clueless

Do I get a Brother, Baby Lock, Janome, Bernina....???

The list goes on and on!

I am still a novice so I don't need anything crazy but I want something that will last me a while

Since I know I won't be able to make up my mind

I am thinking about sending Cole with a family friend that is a VERY experienced sewer and let her live vicariously through him :)

But if you have any advice let me know!

Until next time <3

Happy Birthday...

2011-11-09T02:04:00.000-08:00

TO ME!!!

Yep it was my birthday this last weekend

Big 25

I am not going to lie, I was a little scared I would have a melt down or even a tear or two

But I am good with it

maybe it was because I spent my weekend here...

Yep

Las Vegas!

I left the hubby at home and went on a much needed girls trip

Here's some pics from the trip

Until next time <3

Lucky

2011-10-25T02:44:00.000-07:00

Some days it is hard to sit back and think about how lucky I am, but today is not one of those days

For example I am super lucky that I have this girl as a friend

Meet Brittinay!

She has an adorable little blog -> here

(aka Courtney- we are often mistaken for each other)

OH! Did I mention I work with her too?!?!

But, a few weeks ago I came to work with this on my desk

I feel in love with this mug at Fall Festival and she went back the next day and got it for me

How sweet!

AND

she made me this card

Pretty talented huh?

Like I said I am pretty sitinkin lucky to have a friend like her :)

Until next time <3

Whoa October!

2011-10-25T01:39:00.000-07:00

Does anyone else feel like October flew by?

It did for me

So much so that I almost didn't have time to make my Halloween wreath

But no worries, I found some time tonight :)

Pretty cute huh!

Here are some other things to catch you up on my life lately...

I am teaching myself how to crochet

But

I had to buy glasses to do so

Don't worry they are $1 cheapies

I made this cute little fall style note clip for work

I have yet to have a note left for me :(

We dog sat this little guy for 9 days

His name is Tux, so I made him a little bow tie for his return home

I am sad he is gone, I fell in love with him

That pretty much catches you up to speed!

Until next time <3
