All American Rejects announced today that their much anticipated third album - When The World Comes Down - will be available on slotMusic, a new form of DRM-free MP3 music on a microSD card on December 16, the same date as the album will be released digitally and on CD. SlotMusic card will give the band’s fans a chance to enjoy their music in a variety of ways and on a host of devices - from microSD-enabled mobile phones to computers and MP3 players.

Eminem Dismayed By New Album ‘Relapse’ Leak

Eminem has spoken of his dismay at finding out that songs from his forthcoming new album, ‘Relapse’, have leaked online. One track, originally thought to be called ‘Number One’, leaked last week (December 7). Speaking to Billboard.com, Eminem said he felt “really heated” after hearing that the track - which he named ‘Crack A Bottle’ - was online.

“It wasn’t close to finished,” he said, “and it even has me doing guide vocals for Dre as a suggestion of how he could lay his verses down. It’s like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up! Nobody is supposed to see that.”

U2 Singer Receives Peace Honour

U2 singer Bono has been awarded with the ‘Man of Peace’ prize by the Nobel peace laureates for helping to tackle African debt, poverty and disease. Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe, who hosted the event, handed the frontman the Peace Summit Award in the presence of five Nobel winners.

“This is a very big award for me, because let’s be honest this is as close as I am going to get, as close as a rock star is ever going to get to the Nobel Peace Prize,” Bono said. “I am an over-awarded, over-rewarded rock star. You are the people who do the real work.”

Hopeless Records has announced dates for the 2009 edition of the annual Take Action Tour. The bill will be headlined by Cute Is What We Aim For and feature Meg & Dia, Breathe Carolina, Every Avenue and Anarbor. The tour, now in its eighth year, raises funds and awareness for youth involvement in charitable action, and for the second straight year Take Action has chosen not-for-profit organization DoSomething.org to benefit from the funds raised and to help spread the message of action to young people across the country.
