Oh, and I love you guys.

Baby Steps

Alijah here!

"awkward stare//bright palm.jpg"

On the way upstate for Thanksgiving vacation I wrote some lyrics

(you can check them out in the lyrics section of course)

"You went about it all wrong kid" will be our third song, which is great stuff.

Basically it's about a kid who starts a fire and kills someone by accident.

I swear it's not as brutal as it sounds.

Lyric Excerpt: You never wanted to burn me// You only wanted to make us brighter.

A more innocent touch to it I think.

Well stay tuned for more because.. upstate new york isn't as eventful as you might think.

So this thing'll definitely get updated

I love The Usual Suspects.

Another band practice. Although our vocalist is sick and couldn't make it (get well soon you smooth cornhole) we are still maintaining some level of productivity.

-Future Synth/vocal try out, looking forward to it.

-Looking into ways of recording a decent demo.

Like how I just switched into list form?

"whoduh fuck doyuh think you ah?.."

Listen Benicio del Toro.. I'm in a band. I don't have to take your shit.

Success was inevitable.

2010-11-18T20:45:00.000-08:00

As you can see, a pretty snazzy step forward has been taken.
We are Officially "To the wolves!"

If we had some band pictures those would be posted now to make us seem cooler.. but for now all i have is this:

"Before you laugh, i'm pretty sure that guy is holding an unsheathed katana."

What's scarier is that everyone else just seems to be used to it.

Well expect to see some photos of us up my non existent phantom friends.

For you, the reader.

2010-11-18T16:28:00.000-08:00

For all of you who get bored reading about how we can't think of a name

"why would ya be bowuhd uvv dat?"

I don't understand it either young girl who i shouldn't have a picture of. I don't understand it either.

But yes, for you weirdo's out there. There is this beautiful, wholesome family portrait.

That is not at all awkward.

Okay it is.

There. Now back to your normal scheduling.

Close but no cigar

2010-11-18T16:09:00.000-08:00

We're almost there I think as far as band name's go.

We have a selection to pick from that we're all okay with, but nothing that everyones in love with just yet.

This weekend is band practice and i think it'll be refreshing to get back to just music.

A nice break from all the awesome band name ideas i've been getting..

"Hey, Alijah? Yeah how about "Monster A-Go Go!!"..no? Well fuck you"

P.S: Sorry about all the pictures of babies.. I just have so many, need to get rid of them you know?

Band Name Update #1

2010-11-17T15:03:00.000-08:00

About two days dedicated to throwing names back and forth.

Phrases, words, quotes and sayings.

The best and worst part of a band:

"NO WE CAN NOT BE 'THE CORNHOLERS'!!!"

OH NOES!1

2010-11-16T23:30:00.000-08:00

Upon further inspection there are a couple other bands with a similar name to ours.

"But that name was sooo brootal"

Ah it's okay kid, back to square one. I share your pain.

Now the journey of.. once again going through lists and lists of possible names that five people will have to agree with. ....

It'll be fine....

Meanwhile: "FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-"

So officially on facebook, twitter and myspace 0.o

about a half hour worth of verifying emails and remembering passwords. Feel like a hacker.

"No I do not want you to send me updates to my email!

As I'm writing this none of the accounts are customized or have any content whatsoever but in a few days everything will be up and running.

Until then have this:

I'm pretty sure that's the old vocalist of attack attack..

son of a bitch..

Travis, Kill the Engine!

2010-11-16T09:18:00.000-08:00

This is our first song, I wrote the lyrics based off of a game titled Shadow of the Colossus.

Pretty brutal looking right?

Basically the main character "Wander" brings his love "Mono" to an alter after she had been sacrificed. In order to bring her back to life by this ominous being he must slay 16 colossi with help of his horse.

Spoiler Alert: Well in the end he realizes that with each monster slain he gradually becomes a colossus himself. Inevitably being slain. The ending credits show a garden being opened upstairs, mono awakes and walks through with her newborn child.

I know your weakness

It glows the brightest blue

I've waited for the moment

Where I could put my sword to you

I've searched for so many days now

Following this path of light

I need this more than ever

I can't go back until I make things right

And so I walk you through this garden

I walk you home

But still I am shadowed by these remnants

I've killed more than you know

I feel a darkness pull me in

I swear I did it for the best reasons

Believe me I'd do it again

No matter how long I stand there

She lies motionless in white

I'll take what this voice gives me

If it means you'll wake for the next sunrise

And so I stalk you through this garden

I follow you home

But still I am shadowed by these remnants

And while I'm consumed,

I will defend you,

No they won't take you,

We'll fall back into this dark abyss,

where I'll hold my memories and you hold me

Obviously if you played the game you'd catch the references. Well by the game then fool.

"Yeah I thought so.."

Just because this is the only interesting thing going on in my life

... Other than my gf :D

"good save bro"

Basically it's the most productive i've been musically and I figured the can be an outlet for it's updates.
Whenever we play shows, write songs. Lyrics, ideas. All I need now is someone to read these things.

I can't sleep.

2010-05-20T02:34:00.000-07:00

I can see the sun rise through the bathroom window.

I still can't sleep.

It is a man with his stomach open

There is no pain in his eyes.

Only me.

It is an anatomically color guided map of the female.

Her hips curve gently

like the stems of windblown daisies.

It is insect skeletons.

This is your turn

I have too many pictures of stick figures at desktop computers.

2010-05-14T22:10:00.000-07:00

If I haven't been working
I've been sleeping.

If I haven't been sleeping
I've been playing video games.

"..Why is he telling me this?"

I am extremely pooped and just want to sleep and eat.

It seems like all
my time has been spent at The Home Depot.

"okay okay, say something funny.."

I'm not used to
being tired for a reason.

Usually it's just because
I haven't done anything to keep me up.

So I just would end up in bed all day.

"What's going on here."

Between saving up for transportation and future expenses

I don't feel like much of it pays off lately.

I know it does but.

Still very tiring.

"wat."

But still through all of that.

The work and harsh reality of needed expenses

I stil have...

" Ah okay, here it comes"

Ah, darn it's late.
I have work in the morning.
Goodbye friends.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"

P.S: Farts

"lol"

At least I don't have a Facebook.

2010-05-11T20:29:00.000-07:00

"Mooooooom, I'm l337. All my online friends says so"

So far..

My girlfriends right.

I suck at MW2 right now.

Well, I'm too scared to actually play online.

Don't wanna mess up my k/d ratio or nothing..

Just lurking on campaign till i get used to it all.

But I will pwn.

I promise you that.

And when I do.

You better hope to god that you're not on my server.

"pwease gawd. don't ledd him pwn me. fank you"

God's a little bit busy right now.

"how the.. WHAT?! where did he even come from!! LAGSWITCHER!!"

Am I fly? My middle name is fly.

2010-05-10T20:12:00.000-07:00

Today I cashed my paycheck.
I haven't exactly been able to spend it on anything for myself yet.
Just really transportation to work so far.
I will
(mark my words)

I WILL purchase something awesome.

pic related, it's something awesome.

How awesome?

Corduroy loafers awesome.

In fact I'm just going to make the rest of tonight a wish list of awesome.

My wardrobe will be envied by hipster and natural hipster alike.

You can't see it but they're both wearing corduroy loafers.

Interdependence day! :D

was a filthy

filthy songs of his fathers

and going blerp, blerp in between

personally for me, It's the matching white cod pieces.

Okay

So today during my lunch break
I found out who's egg roll I stole.

...

Wait for it..

You appreciate my use of literary elements?

Well, I'm sorry..

Maybe if I foreshadowed some things before this..

But really you don't know the guy.

He's really cool though.

Made me feel a tiny bit guiltier...

:( I'm sorry unimpressed walrus. you don't deserve this.

AND AND AND!!!!

My mom didn't buy me a Frosty today..

probably not.

The greatest story of all time. OF ALL TIME!!!

2010-05-06T21:06:00.000-07:00

Today while at work i realized my mother forgot to give me a couple dollars for something to eat.

(I don't get my paycheck yet, so until then i rely on her for lunch time nom noms)

So around the end of my shift, i see this egg roll. Just delicately sitting on the table.

It's around 11 pm and just about everyone is gone so..

I did it. I ate the egg roll.

I feel a bit guilty.

I told my mom and she went and got me a frosty from Wendy's.

"hey cute stuff, this one's on the house"

Okay Eva Longoria wasn't at the drive through but.

Would have been pretty cool if she was right?

I only listen to bands who have their ears stretched.

2010-05-05T20:24:00.000-07:00

Auto-tuned chorus's make me moist.

Goodmorning sunshine.
