Today I Appreciate….

• Stepping Out of the Box – Last night I ran the Law of Attraction Focus Group meeting in upstate, NY. What an awe inspiring group this is!

Many of these folks have been coming to this meeting twice a month for months… Always eager to learn – eager to apply what they have learned. I have watched them stumble and mostly I have watched them blossom!

Each has been willing to shed the myths of reality, to step out of the box and to claim their Power & Magnificence.

While they thank me often… it is they whom I thank. I thank them for following their inner guidance when it seemed awkward to do… I thank them for following their inner voice when others told them it was wrong… I thank them for acknowledging their power for as they do – they acknowledge us all!

I thank them for stepping out of the box …. into the life they came here for!

Today I Appreciate….

• Thoughts – That that I can choose my thoughts… I can choose good thoughts – thoughts that make me feel good….

• My Mattress – Last night I jokingly said “I’m going to go appreciate my mattress” – After I said it I realized it wasn’t a joke… I do appreciate my mattress! 

This mattress is just a few months old… and it is indeed a joy to sleep on! I never realized how different mattresses are and what a big difference they can make!

When I go to bed at night – I always want to put myself into a good feeling place… “Go to sleep in a good feeling place and you will wake up in that good feeling place.” There are many nights I lay there thinking how nice the mattress feels – how comfy my pillow is – how soft and warm my blankets are…. I can feel myself smiling…. and then… That is all I remember as I am sound asleep.

When you go to sleep tonight don’t mull or fret over the situations of the day… Appreciate your mattress….

Go to sleep smiling – and you will wake up smiling!

Today I Appreciate….

• Let Go – Yesterday I got some info that our reservations for next week were not the way we had planned! 

We purposely booked this cruise early so we could get our room in the back of the ship – now I am looking at papers that say we are on the side of the ship.

What?! Let me make a phone call and get this all straightened out….

I made the phone call and found out it was indeed true our reservations where not going to be the way we booked them. And the woman I was talking didn’t really care and she was not very pleasant at all…. At one point she was basically calling me a liar!

How could this be happening?!  I first needed to get myself centered… OK this doesn’t have to be a bad thing… this is just something that is happening…. I could hang onto this and stay frustrated all week and possible put a damper on our vacation …. or …. I could Let it Go…

I Let it Go! I let it go by realizing this is not a bad thing – it is just different than I thought it was going to be… And it is quite possible that this could turn out to be the best room we have every had!

• Opinions – Well not the unsolicited kind… Though I guess I could appreciate those too!

Last night I visited some forums and even listened to a show on Blog Talk Radio…. I do like to listen to others opinions about things… though I have to admit it is rare that I totally 100% agree.

That is good … to be able to hear what others saying – to respect their opinion – yet not be influenced by what others think or do – instead let all the information in … to decide what does and doesn’t resonate with me… and to quietly generate my own opinion – at least for that moment….

Life is truly Interesting…..

Today I Appreciate….

• Chill Out – One of my sayings that keeps me calm and focused is “It’s not a Big Deal” So I had a big smile when I read yesterday’s TUT message…

“Of all the things that matter, that really and truly matter, working more efficiently and getting more done is not among them. Chill” ~The Universe

Sometimes we have such a tendency to make a big deal out of things… we get ourselves in a frenzy with worry, anxiety, anger…. Is it really all worth it?

For me that answer is No – it is never worth it. I need to step back and get my center back. As TUT reminds us – I need to Chill More and Worry Less!

• The Smell of Spring – I stepped outside today …. and there it was! Amongst a blue sky and mounds and mounds of snow…

It was dancing about … lingering for a brief moment… but I did smell it – it was a bit intoxicating – it was Spring! -

• Smiles – Doesn’t it feel so good to see people smile? I Love it – I feel my own smile getting bigger & bigger!

Yesterday I went down into town… I saw lots of smiling people – in the post office, the gas station, the supermarket, the bank…

There was an unusual amount of people in the supermarket so I guess today was the first day many got out after the snow storm we had. No one was grumbling… no one was even talking about the snow… they were chatting about other things… and they were Smiling!

Me too, I was smiling, smiling! What makes you Smile today?

Today I Appreciate….

• Calm Weather – It did not snow today!    …. And I so appreciate that!

I didn’t take any photos today… as it doesn’t look much different – everything is covered in white! I was going through my pictures to see if I had a shot of the house in the summer…. I guess I don’t take photos of the house when the weather is nice.

I did find the above photo of our 3 dogs, Kuva, Emmy, & Shae… and I was so aware of how nice and green the grass looks! I am soooo looking forward to that!

• Roof Raking! - Yes we were raking our roof yesterday…. I don’t even rake my yard so this was definitely a new experience for me! 

Did I really appreciate it? I did! – we laughed a lot… and as you can see… I ended up on my butt quite often.

Since this snow is here and I’m not going to change that – I am absolutely going to find a way to appreciate it everyday….

Hopefully I won’t have to appreciate it for too long!
