If I had my trumpet now it'd be fairly easy to figure out.

Perez, real name Mario Lavandeira Jr., now faces serious legal trouble and possible jail time for his careless post, which was later removed. And after all the controversy, we’re finally hearing what Miley thought about the whole thing.

Today, Perez was on the defensive in a video posted to his blog, saying “Miley was clearly wearing underwear. Do you think Miley is that stupid to be out in public without panties?”

He went on to say, “Do you think I’m stupid enough to post a photo of Miley if she’s not wearing any underwear down there?” he said. “Sure I like to be controversial, but I don’t want to go to jail.”

What Perez did is a serious crime and sadly the video he posted seemed like a joke to him.

Is This A Good Email Of Complaint?

Im in the UK, and my radio station has changed and i don't like them. I have prepared an email which you can see below. I have just ran a spell check and made it look professional, but i was just wondering if their is anything i could change?

Hi. First of all, I would like to say that i love real radio, but I really dislike some of the new changes. Chances are you will just put this to one side and forget about it, but however, I need to get this off of my chest.
Firstly, the amount of ads being played through the shows is getting crazy! They are being played every 5 - 10 minutes, more than music, and they are the same boring ads that get older and older each time played.
Secondly, I am not into the Ryan Seacrest show, and a few family and friends have told me they have stopped listening to it from 11pm onwards. I think it’s a good idea about things like that, but he’s American, and he is on an English radio station. And I’m not 100% sure if I heard him swear on last night’s show.
And lastly, the same songs are being played each and every day. I turned it on in the morning, heard a song, in the afternoon and in the evening. And it’s the new songs. Real Radio is meant to be a mixture of new and old, but now, we are lucky just to get an old song.

I am getting very tempted to change radio stations but i really don't want to.

Despite being a regular listener to you radio station and my love for real radio in general, I am really disappointed with some of the new changes your radio station has made and would like to highlight few of the issues i noticed, albeit I am aware that you may just put this letter to one side and ignore my concerns; however, even if that is the case I need to get this off of my chest.

1. The numbers of ads being played through the shows are getting crazy and irritating. I understand that radio stations are not a ‘Not For Profit’ organizations and these advertisements are the main source of revenue for the business, however I reckon a good balance between the main purpose of a radio station ie providing entertainment to the listener and the monetary gains, is more prudent way forward.

Ads are played every 5 - 10 minutes, more than music, and they are the same boring ads that get older and older each time they are played.

2. I am not into the Ryan Seacrest show, and a few family & friends have told me they have also stopped listening to it from 11pm onwards. I think it’s a good idea about things like that, but he is an American and he is on an English radio station. I am not fully certain if I heard him swearing on last night’s show.

Lyrical Solo Song for an 8-9 year old - Very emotional dancer

This is my daughter's 2nd year as a solo dancer and has taken 1st place in all the competitions she participated in. She is very dramatic, very emotional and her technique is beyond her years. We are heading into her second year and are searching for the perfect song! Last year she danced to "In my daughter's eyes" and it was perfect, this year we would like to see her do something "different" -
not about mom and dad but equally as emotional or "story-like". We prefer not to use "overused" or newer songs that are heard thousands of times by judges or songs that are too mature for her - for example, death, love, etc. We have picked a few to present to her lyrcial teacher/choreographer and she will come up with some to but I thought I would put this out there ans ee what others are thinking.

I have seen many post saying that lyrical shouldn't be done by girls under 12 and if you think they aren't capable, perhaps you aren't looking at the right girls doing the right choreography - although I agree it's not for everyone, there are younger kids that can knock your socks off!

Newer pop/rock/techno/etc. songs that are OK for a 7-year old?

I asked this question earlier and nobody seemed to understand what I was asking so I'm going to clarify: I am having my graduation party next weekend. While most people there will be about 16-20 years old, my very young second cousins (2 and 7) will be there for part of it. I need some lists of a few songs each from bands that are okay for kids that age BUT they also have to be pleasing to the main group at the party. That means:
-No Kidz Bop or artists who are specifically for kids (this includes Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, and anyone else from Disney/Nickelodeon, as well as Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber) or edited versions of songs.
-Also, this is not specifically about my personal taste. If you think I'd like DotDotCurve or Jeffree Star, great, but I don't think my cousin would want her 7-year-old son to hear that. The main objective here is to find bands kids my age would like anyway that have appropriate songs (such as Stereo Skyline, Owl City, The All-American Rejects and Forever The Sickest Kids).
-If you do list someone who has a mix of appropriate and inappropriate songs, please list a few songs that would be okay for a kid to hear (like if you say Blood On The Dance Floor, list "P.L.U,.R." and "Lovestruck") so I don't go searching around on lyric sites for hours.
-Please don't list The Beatles or things like that. Again, I'd like stuff kids my age would listen to anyway.

How do you think slavery would have been handled without the Civil War?

I think it would have happened a bit later, but more peacefully and it wouldn't have had the lasting bitter resentment and racism.

Two main arguments could have been used. I know someone must have come up with these, because there were plenty of brilliant politicians at the time, and I'm just a 15-year old nerd. Anyway, the arguments are economic and then cultural.

Economic: You have to spend a lot of time training a slave, breaking his will, hiring overseers to watch the slaves, hiring people to guard the slaves, catching the slaves when they run away, and so on. Also, slaves will deliberately break equipment and won't work as well as higher hands.

Cultural: You could play off the racism there. Go to some big town with a plantation owner, and point out all the unemployed white guys that could be doing jobs held by black slaves, for one. I don't agree with that statement, but it could be used for an argument.

What do you think?
I know the Civil War wasn't about slavery.

However, slavery played a big role and the Emancipation Proclomation and the 13th amendment came up during that time.

I have to say that this is speculation , so nobody is right or wrong...and perhaps it's a reflection of one's hopes and biases as well!

First of all,are those two arguments the reason slavery ended peacefully in other slave-holding societies? That would be interesting to find out.

The first argument is an interesting one...it's actually an inversion of an argument made by the most articulate supporter of slavery, George Fitzhugh (Spelling) who argued in favor of slavery by saying " look we take care of the slaves, make sure they are healthy"...while you snobby northerners hire your workes, don't care if they have home, a livable wage and just dispose of them when they get sick and hire the next guy, etc..

But Anyways, I think the main argument given for ending slavery would not have been either of those...First of all, if your economic arguments were true, then why didn't slavery end earlier? Why didn't the business owners slowly convert to a free labor system? Furthermore, I think that costs you mentioned held true for early industrialization as well, I mean you have to spend time training workers, slave or not a slave, and back then factories had to hire overseers and even pinkerton guards to keep workers and unions in check...and lots of productivity loss due to the reasons described by Fitzhugh...So I think even with all those costs it was still profitable, which is why continued for so long.

So , in the end, I think the main argument for ending slavery would have been the same argument that brought about the end of jim crow laws in the south, apartheid in south africa...and the totalitarian regimes throughout the world, and that is justice...morality...in short "doing what's right"...and crucially through popular movements from below that became morally outraged with the order of things

But that's not to say that economic arguments didn't have an impact and that they weren't there...so I am absolutely positive that some white elites in South Africa thought "oh let's give blacks their civil and political rights" because we are losing tons of money with the international embargo against us...okay but why did that embargo have such force? Because the peoples of the world forced the world's governments to recognize their moral indignation and thus act in a moral way. So morality was the basis of it all...

So, going back to the case of slavery, my hunch is that the abolitionists' moral argument would have been the determinative factor in ending slavery...and any economic arguments by elites would have flowed from those very costs imposed by a morally outraged public (boycotts, embargoes, civil disobedience etc.)...and also boycotts from other countries as well (abolitionism , after all, was international in scope)

At least that's my hope

What is considered quality gun cleaning solvents and oils?

All right, i have only been shooting since recently and knowledge of solvents and oils. As of yet i have used Rem oil and hoppes #9 on the two firearms i currently own, a savage mark II and an older mossberg bolt action, and so far that's all i have needed. But i know nothing about any other types of gun cleaners, oils, ect. Can anybody help educate me on this subject.

In the twenty-first century there is no longer any reason to stink up the house with Hoppe's #9 powder solvent. I use: Iosso Bore Cleaner, Flitz Metal Polish, Ballistol, and WalMart Pharmacy's Mineral Oil. All of the previously mentioned cleaners, except Mineral Oil, remove both powder residue AND copper jacket fouling. For additional lubrication I use either Sentry Solutions, 'Hi-Slip' Grease, or Shooter's Choice, 'High Tech' Lube.

Rem Oil is one of the last substances I'd ever put on a gun. It's way too light and too fluid. I would never trust it not to contaminate casemouths and primer pockets on either hunting or self-defense cartridges. Use conventional cleaning rods, too. Bore snakes are way too difficult to keep clean; and, once they crap up, they leave crud on everything they touch. You're much better off, throwing your dirty gun patches away.

Finally, always wear latex or Nitrile gloves whenever you clean a gun. Wash your hands with Go-Jo or Goop when you're finished, too. Be careful with modern gun lubricants and cleaning chemicals. Some of them are mildly toxic, and belong only on or inside the gun.

Is it safe to use this material versus what is included in the typical gun cleaning kits? Microfiber boasts being good for multiple uses from washing your car to cleaning delicate objects. Would microfiber also be good for this use?

I use a microfiber towel to polish my guns up after I'm done cleaning them and it does a Great job. I can't say that I'd recommend it for the actual cleaning though.

How can I tell the size of my gun cleaning brushes?

I have two universal gun cleaning kits (bought 1 & then a nicer 1 was a gift). One is a rifle/Shotgun cleaning kit and the other is a handgun cleaning kit. I would like to organize these parts. I would like to seperate the attachements by caliber size. I was wondering if there was a measuring chart where I can put the brush to and see the correct size or if there is another way.

I wanted to use the cleaning kit I use on my Remmington 7mm? Is this possible? Will this hurt my black powder rifle?

Well, a 7mm is .284" and most black powder rifles are at least .45 caliber, so the attachments will not work.

If you want to stick to tradition, black powder guns were primarily cleaned with hot water.

The microspores develop into binucleate pollen grains, each containing a tube nucleus and a generative nucleus. Both are haploid . As they develop by meiosis .

When the pollen grain lands on a receptive stigma it grows into an elongate pollen tube containing a tube nucleus and a generative nucleus, the latter of which divides into two haploid sperm nuclei.

Don't know about Portlandia, but "I'm Not in Love" uses a variation on Phil Spector's 'wall of sound' technique from the 1960s. 10cc used vocal multitracking instead of orchestras.

Okay, so I was just wondering if any of you listen to the AT40 Countdown with Ryan Seacrest on the weekends. If you do, have you ever noticed how when he says something that supposed to be funny (but itsnt, its usually cheesey) all of the sudden his studio just bursts out laughing...and everytime its the same laughs over and over again. I can hear them in my head right now...lol anyways Im almost positive they're fake which makes it even more rediculous and annoying.....why would he do that? does he not realize it's really corny? well i was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or if it was just me....

Jam is correct on all counts - however, an associates degree is also an undergraduate degree, and is likely what is being referred to as undergraduate.

Typically, an associates or undergraduate degree is a two-year college program. A bachelors degree (also known as a bachelaureate degree) is usually a four-year program, but there are some five year programs, such as education degrees requiring four years of studies and one additional year or practicum or student teaching. A graduate diploma or masters program is one or more years of higher level studies. This would include juris doctor degrees (law), a med school program up to and including residency, seminary (religious), or other specialty schools providing a graduate degree that has a bachelors degree pre-requisite.

There once was a farmer who was raising 3 daughters on his own. He was very concerned about their well being and always did his best to watch out for them. As they entered their late teens the girls dated, and on this particular evening all three of his girls were going out on a date. This was the first time this had occurred. As was his custom, he would greet the young suitor at the door holding his shotgun, not to menace or threaten but merely to ensure that the young man knew who was boss.

The doorbell rang and the first of the boys arrived. Father answered the door and the lad said, "Hi, my name's Joe, I'm here for Flo. We're going to the show, is she ready to go?" The father looked him over and sent the kids on their way.

The next lad arrived and said, "My name's Eddie, I'm here for Betty, we're gonna get some spaghetti, is she ready?" Father felt this one was okay too, so off the two kids went.

Ok, my dentist was Catholic and here converted to Judaism just to make Jewish jokes. Hes only been Jewish for 2 days and he's making jokes left and right. Where should I go to find out if I have diplopia?

Anywhere specific? I am noticing double vision with my new contacts.
I also notice it somewhat with my contacts out, kind of hard to tell because my eyes are so blurry. I also told my doctor about my double vision and he switched me to torics ( I have astigmatism) but the double vision is still there sometimes. I just want to know where I can go to see if I have diplopia at all.

You can go to your regular eye doctor. They may send you to a vision therapist, or change your contacts, or in a some cases will send someone with diplopia to surgeon but i don't think it sounds like you need a surgeon. It sounds like the power in your contacts is off

Music was made before 1965, after 1990, by people outside of the U.S. And the U.K. Not all music has guitars. Some music is electronic. Some music has rapping. Some music is instrumental. Some music is noise or atonal or completely improvised. With a few exceptions (and relatively obvious choices they are), your list does not reflect that at all.

I suppose that sounds meaner than I intended. To put it more politely, your list is rather limited in it's scope, and what you do have happens to both be extremely popular and generally uninteresting to me. It's a fine obvious list, but I would recommend exploring music further.

Good to see Robert Johnson, less good to see Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.

By the way, if you enjoy Robert Johnson, there are countless other country-bluesmen from the 1920s and 1930s that you would probably enjoy. Perhaps you do listen to more soul, jazz, reggae, and blues than appear on this list, and you just happen to prefer the most obvious choices, but it seems likely that you haven't yet explored many genres of music outside of the most obvious choices. A little effort, and you can find a lot of great music and make your list more interesting.

Guy winked at me. Meaning?

Ok so theres this guy in my homeroom and 2 other classes and we do talk to each other sometimes but were not bosom buddies or anything. I think he's cute and I was talking to him about twilight. He said he was going to see it and I didnt believe him cause he's a jock but also super smart like me and I asked him who the main characters were to test him. He said Isabella, Edward, and Jacob and then he winked at me. He's the quiet but fun type. Can someone please interpret this for me?

a wink is generally not something between platonic friends. Especially considering the subject matter. Twilight is a romance between teenagers, similar to what your situation sounds like to me. It's a search for soul mates. If i'm right, it's possible that he's using the subject matter as a way to subtly introduce the fact that he might be open to dating you. Ya see, it's pretty subtle. The thing here is that i doubt that he's sure about what you feel about him - he ain't a mind reader. So, i think he's dropping hints and clues, but nothing too blatant.

My advice is to see how it goes from the movie. Why not go together?

What is B. Hussein Obama's plan on drilling and becoming energy independent besides inflating our tires??

I followed the Prophet's advice and checked my tire pressure.

I know it sounds crazy, but I immediately felt better after I did it.

Now I really don't mind paying 4 dollars a gallon because Democrats have blocked every attempt at increasing domestic oil production. Thank you Obama. To think that a tire gauge could bring me such happiness.

One can only wonder what other crises will be solved thanks to his brilliant solutions.

Obama claims to have values right out of the Kansas heartland. That might be true but for the fact that people from the heartland tend not to associate with home grown terrorists, radical preachers who hate America, and con-men. Kansas heartland values don't include being ashamed of this country or wanting to become a "citizen of the world" (what does that even mean, anyway?). Heartland values don't include bashing your country while abroad or choosing to work out instead of visiting soldiers who are ill. Heartland values don't include socialism. They do include a bit of humility, something which Obama lacks.

John McCain is the American President, Americans have been waiting for. I'm not sure "what" Obama is (does anyone honestly know?) but he ain't American. Maybe he was born here, but the buck stops there. His penchant for radicals and racism, plants him squarely in the district he has come from, in Chicago Illinois, Bobby Rush, Farrakhan, Ayers, Rev Wright..... Racial Profiling and Afrocentric Legislation....

John McCain is a true "Red Blooded American" and he would die before he would listen to such "lesser men" run down and denigrate this Great Country. But Barack Hussein Obama, loved and "sought out" their company.... It seemed as long as "Hating American" was the common thread that brought, and held, this group together... They had Barack Hussein Obama's ear, (and) he lionized them in his books and his legislation.

Does anyone actually think that John McCain would have tolerated these radical America hating bosom buddies of Obama's, whose thoughts and actions I'm sure would remind him of his days in the Hanoi Hilton.... Would any person who truly loves this country listen to this (trashing of her) for years, all the while drafting and crafting legislation to support their radical American hating views with tax payers money....

Just last week, he claimed that if only Americans would inflate their tires properly and get regular tune-ups, "we could save all the oil that they're talking about getting off drilling."

This is bizarre. By any reasonable calculation of annual tire-inflation and tune-up savings, the Outer Continental Shelf holds nearly a hundred times as much oil. As for oil shale, also under federal moratorium, after a thousand years of driving with Obama-inflated tires and Obama-tuned engines, we would still have saved only one-fifth the oil shale available in the United States.

A little background information:

My 6 year old son died 5 years ago yesterday, he had leukaemia.

I have a friend who was very supportive after he died in that she raised a lot of money for a memorial for him and for the charity that supports the parents at the hospital where he was treated. She is a good person but is not one of my closest friends. I like her a lot but wouldn't say we were 'bosom buddies' if you see what I mean?

Yesterday she came over for coffee and we chatted a little about my son. The subject of what we believe happens to us after we die came up. As an atheist I don't believe in an afterlife, heaven or any such things.

My friend said 'What would you say if I told you he came to me the night he died and asked me to look after his mum and dad?' I said 'I'd say you were either dreaming or talking bollocks'.

She looked a bit affronted but dropped the subject.

I feel a bit awkward now - should I mention it to her again or just let it go?
Yes she knows what I believe - we had a humanist funeral and I have told her before that I think one you are gone that's it. I was maybe a bit abrupt but it was the anniversary :(
Sorry - 'once you are gone'. Also, she isn't a Christian either BUT does believe in ghosts/spirits etc.

I'm basically a nice person and hate arguments and feel grateful to my friend for all she has done but it really did annoy me when she said that. If my son were to appear to anyone it would be me or his grandma or his daddy or one of my very close friends. Oh my, I've been in an all-too similar situation.
I'm Jewish. Religously, culturally, observantly Jewish. But when my daughter was dx'd with leukemia, church people showed up everywhere (including the hospital room 1 1/2 hours away which for reasons of profound and extended neutropenia was supposed to be limited to immediate family). When she died, it only became worse. There were two in particular (and as a matter of fact, one of them was very instrumental in fund-raising, donor searching, and so forth) who, I started to feel, only did this with an ulterior motive "If the Jews convert, we can get extra points" sort of thing. (And with a family history quite a bit older than xianity it's self, you can be sure nobody here is converting- but that seemed to make it an even bigger challege to them).
We were told about angels taking her 'to jezus', how she was now
'no longer blinded' and only wanted us 'to come to jezus'. There were, in all honestly, too many to get into.
What did I ultimately do?
When politeness failed, and simply contiunuing with our life as Jews failed, they were removed from our lives. Period. Totally.
As you probably know ,the death of a child changes some relationships in really profound ways, and I found one of the most profound, was in simply ending them, making them no longer worth it.
Yes I did feel like one of them felt if I was 'really appreciative' for what she did I would just run off and join her church- apparently maintaining my own honesty, ethics and commitment to my own G-d and people count for nothing.

Sounds like she is some kind of spiritualist? Well whatever it is, you have no obligation to it. And yes, if your son were going to show up, it would be to you:)
Sadly, I also found people liked to 'over state' their relationship to my daughter and to us once she was diagnosed and after her death. I don't know why. I had people tell me how they felt so bereft- people who had never bothered when she was alive and healthy! Telling *me* about their loss, of my very little girl!

People can be strange. There is something about sick children that can make strange people, become stranger.
You know yourself and your son.
Let it go, there is enough to deal with just finding peace and living it.

...Ummm I don't think that this stuff is exactly New Age, but truthfully you have a lot of great songs on here and asking what "New Age" song is the best is pretty hard since people are diverse in their music tastes. BUT I LOVE LINKIN PARK! So, I would say, in my opinion, either Numb or In The End by Linkin Park, but like Captain Planet says, "The power is yours!" So, look at the feedback (answers of users) and hopefully the majority vote will give you an idea. Good Luck!
