I am a big fan of recycling so when Recover sent me an Ipod Touch cover made entirely from recycled plastic, I was delighted to review it. What I don’t like about the feel of the Ipod Touch is the fact that it is very slippery. I’d really hate to drop it. This cover, allows me to handle my Ipod Touch with confidence. Because the material in the cover feels like rubber it not only makes it easier to hold, but it protects the Ipod shell as well. It’s a bonus that the cover is eco-friendly, and when you purchase a cover, Recover will plant a tree for you! The product is very reasonably priced and they make covers for the Ipod Nano as well.

Sony has designed this organic light emitting diode screen that is only 2.5 inches and weighs a mere 1.5 grams. While they have no specific product in mind currently and this is only a prototype, I imagine a real application is only around the corner.

I don’t know about you but I hate raking leaves. This new product, the Eazy Leaf Hauler makes it…well…easy! The problem I’ve always had was what to do with the leaves once you had them in a pile, and this is where this leaf collecting gadget comes in. It’s like a massive dustpan that stakes to the ground. It’s made of tough polyethylene and can hold approximately five wheelbarrows full. Then simply drag and dump into your bigger pile. We burn our leaves or throw them over the bank to compost naturally so this “leafpan” suits us perfectly.

Automobiles are usually the place where you see high tech body designs emerging. But not this time. This bike was a concept model designed by Reindy Allendra for a lifestyle and bike design competition. Because music is a big part of the designers lifestyle, he seamlessly added this capability to his bike.

The wheel movement powers the music player which has a convenient docking station on the handlebars and an ear plug port is conveniently located below that. I’d love to see wireless earphones though. The wheel movement also can power a tail and break light.

It’s a really clever, eye catching, futuristic bike design.
