A potty chair that doesn't look anything like what it is supposed to be at one glance, at least to me:

While all these fancy potty chairs look stylish and I bet would appeal to most toddlers, the question is do you think it helps in their toilet-training? After all, you can get one simple potty for less than $10 but with this type of potty chairs, you probably be paying at least $50 for one.

I'm also wondering if you can get your toddler to relate this type of potty chair to pooping if it looks more like a toy chair in the first place. Maybe it's only me because in my mind a potty or a toilet needs to be of a certain shape. Otherwise, it's kind of hard to do whatever needs to be done, right?

Note: The above potty chairs are available from Amazon

Tracing A Call

Not too long ago, we simply have no way of knowing who called us when we happened to miss a call. Or we may have rushed to answer a ringing phone only to find out that it is a prank call.

However, nowadays with much better technology, calls can be traced to find out who is behind the calls made. Many phones now are able to display the phone number of the caller and using this information, you can then find out the owner of that number through a reverse phone lookup.

For instance, if you have been getting prank calls, you can use the phone number that is displayed to check the owner’s name and address. There are sites now that allow you to simply type in the phone number and search for information on its owner. Convenient and useful, such a service is certainly helpful when we are left wondering who is calling us.

Getting A Toddler To Sit On The Potty

Found this picture here while surfing the net. I spend quite a lot of time there creating webpages or lenses as they are known in Squidoo. Basically, it is a site that allows you to create webpages for free on any topic that strikes your fancy.

The cool thing about Squidoo is it encourages you to sell things on your pages through online retailers such as Amazon. Items that get sold through a click from your page would then earn you some money on a sharing basis with Squidoo.

So, for all the time that I have spent on Squidoo, what have I achieved? Well, drop by Fire Truck Toddler Bed and Toddler Bedding Set to find out then! :)

New Radios

Have you heard of high definition radio? If you have not, then you are certainly not in keeping with the times. Nowadays, radio stations with FM broadcast are beginning to have CD-sound quality. And not only you will be able to listen to crystal clear music when you on your radio but it can also give you iTunes Tagging convenience.

This means if you like the song being played over the radio, you can simply tagged it and buy it online when you next turn on your computer. Of course, to be able to do so, you will need a HD radio with that capability such as the Jensen JiMS 525i model. In fact, there are now many HD radios available in the market and they are fast gaining popularity.

Such a radio is a great investment now because more and more stations are broadcasting digitally. If you are unsure whether you should spend your money on such a radio, simply check out new music stations with HD broadcast or those that are coming on stream to see if it will be a worth a buy.

Getting my Toddler to Pick Up his Toys

Does your toddler have this habit of leaving his toys everywhere in the house? Right now, my son likes to take all his toys out from the toy box which leaves a total mess on the floor. As a result, the poor me end up putting everything back when night time comes.

I don't think a toddler would be cooperative when it comes to putting back his toys, especially when they can fill one whole big box. Nevertheless, I try to get him to do so as he needs to learn to put back his own stuff.

So, what I tend to do is to get him to put back a small pile and I pick up the rest. Or I ask him to help me by getting those toys not within my reach as I sit next to the box. I have to admit that there are times when these methods do not work. I guess even toddlers can be lazy sometimes.

My hope is as he grows, he will create less mess and know how to pick up after his own things. I just can't stand living in a messy home but this is what I have to put up with right now with a little kid around. Grrrr!!

A New Form of Treatment

If you are one of those who keeps track of market and business news through CNNmoney.com, you would probably have come across this interesting article that informed us of treatments of serious diseases may be found in women’s menstrual blood.

It is aimed at the busy woman who has much to juggle between work and family who may have little time to take care of her health. But now with innovative stem cell research, such women can buy a little insurance by preserving her menstrual fluid. Research has shown that a woman’s menstrual blood has self-renewing stem cell properties which can be stored and later used to treat serious ailments that may strike such as osteoporosis, stroke and Parkinson’s disease.

The company that is offering this service to harvest and preserve this menstrual blood is C’elle. On their website, you can listen to C'elle Client Testimonial to check out what others have to say on this. Furthermore, as research into this area advances, more and more uses could be found for stem cells which would make your investment to preserve your menstrual fluid even more worthwhile.

LoudLaunch - Compensating bloggers for their unbiased opinions, reviews, and analysis. View the LoudLaunch campaign release this post was based on.

A Contest

Recently, I have been pretty busy starting up a new website, Baby Crib To Toddler Bed. I started it out of interest as I find myself getting increasingly addicted to online ventures.

The website has articles on choosing a baby crib as well as toddler bed. It also contains information on the transition from crib to bed for a toddler. Well, since I do have a toddler, it was more or less of sharing what I had experienced for the last 3 years.

This new site may or may not earn me money but I will give it a try. So, in the mean time, I'm running a contest in my other blog to get some links going for this new site of mine. If you want to win a 100% combed cotton fitted sheet and pillow case set, then hop on over there to find out how to enter.

Investing in our Health

If we care about our health, it only makes sense to invest a little to ensure our well-being for the future. These days, stem cell research has shown that it can help in treatment of certain major ailments and degenerative medical conditions. Therefore, preservation of our stem cells harvested through our menstrual blood is one way to invest in our healthcare.

Using C'elle Stem Cell Research Innovation, you can actually collect your menstrual fluid using the kit provided to you in your own home. This can then be sent back to C’elle for processing and preservation. You can look through the different plans available and although the prices may be steep, the benefits and uses of stem cells are clear with the many research available.

Furthermore, you can listen to C'elle Client Testimonial to gauge the usefulness of this technology and service. You may think you don’t need this service now but just like insurance, when you do need it, you will be thankful that you actually have it.

A Helping Hand

Picture from Funny-Games.Biz

Cute? So, do you know that now free-to-air radio stations are moving towards digital broadcast? This means that you are going to get much clearer reception with CD sound quality for the FM stations when you switch on your radio everyday. On the other hand, the AM stations will now enjoy FM stations sound quality. Hence, no distortions, hisses and other annoying sounds coming from your radio.

Wonderful, isn’t it? To enjoy this better sound quality, all you have to do is to get a HD Radio Receiver. And your receiver can even support iPod tagging. Thus, if you hear a song over the radio that you like, you can tag it and later download and buy it through the internet when you connect your iPod to the computer.

But which radio stations now have HD radio technology? So, if you want to find, say, Texas High Definition Radio stations, there is now a convenient way to do it. Click on the link and there is a guide available that enables you to search for HD radio stations in your area. Why not give it a try and see if your favorite radio stations are broadcasting digitally?

Meetings

Picture courtesy of Extreme Funny Pictures

Aaahhh... that was once upon a time. Not to be left behind is the technological advancement of free radio broadcast. Now, you can get crystal clear reception with CD quality sound with high definition radio broadcast.

You just need to get a HD Radio receiver for your home or car and you will be able to listen to your favorite radio channels with no distortions and sound interruptions. Even more amazing is the new ability to tag songs while they are being played over the radio channels. With the HD Radio receiver, you can enable iTunes Tagging.

This means you can simply tagged the song that you like while it is being played over the radio. The info will be saved on your iPod and when you next connect your iPod to your computer, you would be able to download and buy the song from the Apple iTunes Music Store.

There is also a guide available now if you want to find new radio stations with HD Radio technology in your city. I know of kids who have no problems at all adapting to the new environment and look forward to kindy without hesitation. But I have also come across kids who simply refuse to let their parents out of their sight during the intial stages of starting kindy.

I'm now dreading the worst-case scenario comes August when my son starts kindy. Hopefully, he won't find it a problem and can adapt quickly and I don't have to be there with him for days. Furthermore, I don't think this particular kindy that we are sending him to encourages parents to stay with their kids beyond the first week.

Come to think of it, I started kindy when I was 6 but nowadays, kids start kindy much sooner. My son is only 3 but already has to make his way to kindy as all kids do in this part of the world that we are living in.

One other thing. I just hope he will be able to wake up early each morning comes August to get to kindy on time!

Stem Cell Preservation

With medical advancement, many things that were not possible in the past are now possible due to painstaking research and innovation. For instance, there are now Cryo-Cell Innovative Stem Cell Solutions that can preserve a newborn’s umbilical cord blood for potential use against many deseases. The umbilical cord and placenta used to be discarded following delivery but now it has been discovered that umbilical cord blood is actually rich in stem cells which can be used in bone marrow transplants and to treat other diseases.

Apart from umbilical cord, a woman’s menstrual fluid also contains self-renewing stem cells. These too can be collected and be used to treat medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke and many others. As research into this area grows, there can only be more and more benefit in preserving the stem cells found in umbilical cord blood and menstrual fluid.

So, if you are currently pregnant and your baby is due soon, have a look at Cryo-Cell's "Protect Baby, Protect Mom" package. There is now a "Protect Baby, Protect Mom" Special Limited-Time Introductory Offer which offer enhanced family safety and healthcare protection at great value. Research has shown that women’s menstrual blood contains self-renewing stem cells that can be used to treat medical conditions such as diabetes, stroke, osteoporosis, neurological disorders and others. Not only these stem cells can potentially be used to treat the woman herself for medical conditions later in her life but also can possibly be utilized to treat family members genetically related to her such as parents, siblings and child.

To collect these menstrual stem cells in a non-invasive manner and in the comfort of a person’s own home, there is now a new service available in the market, called C’elle, that enables women to do just that. You can read All About C'elle and discover for yourself all the benefits of this potentially life-saving stem cells from your monthly menstruation.

To help spread the word on this great medical technology and service, this company also offers people to Become C'elle Distributor. If you do successfully sign up to Become C'elle Distributor, the company currently offers you $75 for each person that enrolls in Celle through you. By educating others on this technology and medical advancement, you also get to earn some extra money in the process. But sometimes, toys can also be a good source of learning, especially those educational toys that can help to stimulate a child’s mind and motor skills. Such toys include stacking rings and wooden puzzles for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

For instance, the Melissa and Doug Numbers Sound Puzzle Board will help the child to recognize the different numbers. Lifting a particular piece up, the child would be able to hear the number being said out loud. This type of toy not only provides fun, but also learning, as it can certainly help in speech and vocabulary development.

On the other hand, there are also toys that can stimulate a child’s imagination such as those Playmobil toy sets. These type of toys let the child to create his or her adventure with the different figures and special themes. Any kid would be delighted to receive such play sets which should offer hours of fun.

When choosing toys for kids, it would always be good if they can provide learning and stimulate creativity apart from their fun value. Toys should also be safe and age-appropriate for the child concerned and that is why care and thought should be exercised when buying toys for our kids.

Unique Coffee Mug

Funny Pics and Myspace Layouts at pYzam.com

OK, would anyone want to use a mug like the one above? Sometimes, they even have to go without sufficient sleep to tend to a crying child in the middle of the night or waking up every few hours to feed a little baby.

A a result, this kind of life takes a toll on their health and this is where dietary supplements become important. One of these types of supplements is metal colloid products which can provide the body with the necessary minerals to maintain optimum health.

Among the many colloid products is colloidal silver. Silver is in fact has long been identified as the natural antibiotic. It is a powerful desease fighter because bacterias dies in the presence of rich silver particles. Uses of colloidal silver include as eye or nose drops and application on wounds and burns. Some people even gargled it with water which supposedly kills germs and bacterias in the mouth.

Colloidal silver can also be taken orally, acting as a natural antibiotic and preventative against infections. It, therefore, supports the defence mechanism of the body. This would then quickens healing of burns and prevents infections.

The Mess

I have accepted the fact that having a toddler at home means the place can never be neat and tidy. When we didn't have a kid around, I always made sure that the home is free of clutter and everything would always be in their proper place.

However, for the last year or so, the home is constantly in a mess. Toys are always strewn everywhere. Each time that I made an effort to have them put back in the boxes, out come the toys again a few minutes later. Sometimes, even my stuff can end up as toys such as handbags and such.

So, I have now decided that I would just let the mess be. If toys are all over the floor from morning till night, so be it. It is just kind of silly to keep picking them up only to have them all over the place again a while later. The only time that I will pick everything up and get my son to cooperate to do the same is at night, just before our bedtime.

Through this way, he learns that is part of his routine and how to put back his own stuff when the day is over. Hopefully, when this phase of having toys everywhere is over, my home can go back to being neat and tidy again once more.

Twin Strollers

I always feel people who have twins are really lucky as to be blessed with two kids at the same time is double the joy. But then again, even with one kid, I'm already struggling. So, I do admire those parents who are able to take care of two kids of the same age, especially during those times when they have to manage them all on their own on an outing.

I guess this is where twin strollers come in handy. I have come across parents pushing such twin strollers at the parks and it is so adorable seeing two babies seated side-by-side. The only problem, though, is such strollers can be a little too wide and it would be difficult indeed pushing them through those narrow aisles or pathways.

The other type of twin strollers that I have seen are those that have one in front of the other. They are definitely narrower and would be more ideal for those trips to the mall and grocery shopping.

I think if you have a set of twins, you can't really live without strollers. Luckily, nowadays there are so many twin strollers available with all the different designs and features for parents' convenience. Otherwise, outings would be a great hassle indeed for parents with twins or two young kids.

Stuck in a Toy Store

Do you have this problem with your kid that each time when you ended up in a toy store, he or she refused to leave? Nowadays, I do have to scratch my head thinking of ways to get my pre-schooler out of a toy store without having to drag him out of there screaming and kicking.

I have seen many kids creating a scene at such stores because of their refusal to leave without a toy in hand and so far, I have managed to avoid that problem. But I do have to linger around longer than necessary because of my son's refusal to go and I do not want to start the habit of bribing him with a toy in order to get him to leave.

So, I try to give him a few warnings that it is time to leave before we actually need to go and I actually tell him what are our next activity once we are out of the store. At times, those methods work but there are also times that they don't. Anyway, during those times that he is stubborn enough not to leave, I would just let him play for a while longer and then try again to persuade him to go. Patience is certainly required to get a kid out of a toy store, I guess.

So, if anyone has any effective method for the same problem, let me know.

Affordable Wedding Dresses

When it comes to our wedding, we would surely want a day filled with perfection from the wedding dress to the little details such as the color of the table cloth for the reception. Since wedding is a once in a life time occasion, it is only natural that we want the best for the day to bring us lasting and sweet memories for years to come.

But wedding can also be an expensive affair. The cost of the ceremony, attires and reception could cost us a big chunk of money. For the bride, most would try out various Wedding Dresses and work within their budget.

However, nowadays, you can have competitively priced Bridal Dresses if you just know where to look. There are many online boutiques now that offer Wedding Dresses at lower prices than traditional retail shops. You can still have a lovely wedding gown and look beautiful from head to toe from the veil to the shoes on your feet by shopping through these online boutiques.

Most of these online stores would also have the accessories to accompany your dress for the big day such as tiaras, veils, jewelries and shoes. Not to forget dresses for your bridesmaid and flower girl to make the occasion a memorable one. With the lower prices that you pay from these online stores, you would then have more money to spend on other aspects of your wedding, making it the perfect day for you and your partner.
