I have an interview lined up with a guy named Silver. .

He plays Starcraft 2 for CompLexity as a professional.

I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas for questions I should ask him, and whether or not I should do it over something like Vent or just text

About ME!

2010-09-07T22:07:00.003-03:00

Okay, so about me.. I'm sure most of you people who are here readin this want to know about the kinds of games I play and not all about my personal life, right? But I'll give you a little briefing. I'm currently 19 years old, and going to College to be a Server Administrator or something along those lines. I will probably be many things before I figure out what I really want to be for the rest of my life, but for now it's Server Administrator! A very broad title, I know. Okay enough about me (even though that wasn't that much), and more about the games I enjoy the most.

Obviously you can see here what games I play. I'm mostly an FPS player, with a sprinkle of WoW. I haven't played WoW in a long time though, and I always just end up quitting so, yeah. I'm mostly a Counter-strike man. I just love the game, I always have. A lot of hours are left out as well.. so most of the hours are less than what I have really played.

Tibia is another story. I grew up playing that game, and I'm still in love with it. It has the most amazing PvP I've ever experienced. Because of how much you lose when you die, it makes it very intense. The graphics aren't very good, so most people judge it before they give it a chance, which sucks. A lot of my friends did that.

As you can see, the game is not very detailed. But it has come a long way for a 12 year old game. I recommend you guys give it a try if you like free MMORPGS. Also here is some concept art :D

So basically I'll always be an FPS man. Always coming back to Counter-strike after giving other games a try. But the one thing that keeps me from Counter-strike is that I get so angry. I have been playing it for 4 years, and when I get into a slump or I'm very inconsistent, it pisses me off because I know I'm better than that. Guess I gotta work on that. Pretty awful that I've been in the competitive CSS scene for 3 years and I've never been on any known teams. Well if you're reading this and you happen to have a team that needs someone, give me a shout. :)

Thanks everyone for your time.

Let me know what games you guys are into in the comments! I'd really love to hear all about it.

TLDR; fuck off.

COUNTER-STRIKE: SOURCE, LADIES

2010-09-05T10:25:00.004-03:00

I know some of you are going to complain..

But I swear, it's not my fault. I didn't know anything about the CSS vs 1.6 deal, how Source is bull and 1.6 is way better. I was a gullible little boy and Source looked AWESOME! SO I started playing it, and got better, and better, and then I realized Source was balls. I then tried to get into 1.6 and wouldn't you know it, the games are completely different. I couldn't stand the learning curve, so I just stuck to Source.

There isn't much going on in the online league scene for CSS.. I mean there is ESEA and CEVO, but everyone is growing real tired of the admins at CEVO. The poor children that play CSS can't afford ESEA, and well.. everyone at TWL sucks. CAL is back, but they are only hosting one Heroes of Newerth league? Source is dying like everyone said it would:

They just updated it to be more friendly to new people. Added stats, achievements, all of that crap. I hate the update personally, it was really worthless.

I will post a small video I made a few hours ago,

just using Windows Movie Maker. It's really not a good video at all, but I just wanted to throw one together for you guys. It's actually me in a deathmatch against one guy and a bot, haha!

Enjoy..

Coming soon!

I will be puting more on soon, but for now I need to focus on school and stuff.

I should have new posts up this weekend!

I'm going to put a poll up asking what you guys think I should write my next post about.

Thanks for checking in!

Starcraft II

2010-08-30T22:20:00.000-03:00

There are so many tips and things online for this game.. it's really amazing.

For instance you can go to Team Liquid's website or Starcraft Arena's website..

There are also lots of videos on YOUTUBE to help you out as well.

There is HDstarcraft, Husky Starcraft, and many others.

Here are some examples of great videos to check out.

Basic Terran Opener

Basic Protoss Opener

Basic Zerg Roach Opener

Random Shit

For those of you who are stuck in Bronze League because you lost your placement matches.. there is still hope.

Try playing Protoss and doing the Zealot Proxy rush. I have won countless matches in Bronze league doing this, and I got out in one night. It's really easy against players in Bronze, but kind of harder to pull off once you reach Silver league. So make sure you can hold your own in Silver if you reach it this way.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about:

Start off by sending one of your probes to scout at the beginning.

Keep making probes until you're capped at 10/10. (save your Chrono Boost)

Find a nice spot near your opponents base where he won't find you if he chooses to scout or push you.

Build a pylon, then 2 Gateways.

Put as many Zealots on queue as you can, and continually use Chrono Boost to get 4 out, then push.

8 times out of 10 you will succeed and they will give up.

Congrats you have just accomplished your first CHEESE!
