I love the challenge of internet marketing. It isn't that it is easy. It isn't. What makes internet marketing enjoyable is the never ending thrill of the chase - the anticipation of the next great discovery, you know? Where else can you wake up in the morning, throw $10 bucks at an idea with the very real possibility that the $10 you just spent is going to be a winning lottery ticket every day for the next ten years?

Ok so I read the Jan 2010 issue of Glamour magazine. What on Earth possessed me to do such a thing? Well, for one, I was stuck at the allergist's office for 30 minutes... and I had read all the other magazines in the rack.

Acme People Search Works I really did not think I would be here when I signed up for the people search website earlier this year but here I am, nearly a year later and the site is still going, making a couple of dollars here and there and paying for itself while I do other things. One of these days maybe I'll tally the stats up and figure out how I did over the year but given the cost of the whole kit and kabootle was all of ~$120 I know I have broken even and then some.

I got a question the other day as to whether a high rate CD could be used to function as the 'risk-free' asset in an investment portfolio to improve investment results. I said, "why not?" In all honesty there is clearly risk in CDs or money market accounts or savings accounts - primarily the interest income portion of those assets are at risk (principal is FDIC insured at those type insitutitions if your accounts are setup correctly).
