Ok so I read the Jan 2010 issue of Glamour magazine. What on Earth possessed me to do such a thing? Well, for one, I was stuck at the allergist's office for 30 minutes... and I had read all the other magazines in the rack.

My goof friends at Franklin Footlight Theatre are putting on the hit musical "The Wedding Singer" featuring up and coming local talents Jake Schaffner and Katie Nadeau. Next up is a show getting ready to run casting auditions in Laconia.The Streetcar Company is holding casting auditions for Drood

Acme People Search Works I really did not think I would be here when I signed up for the people search website earlier this year but here I am, nearly a year later and the site is still going, making a couple of dollars here and there and paying for itself while I do other things. One of these days maybe I'll tally the stats up and figure out how I did over the year but given the cost of the whole kit and kabootle was all of ~$120 I know I have broken even and then some.

I got a question the other day as to whether a high rate CD could be used to function as the 'risk-free' asset in an investment portfolio to improve investment results. I said, "why not?" In all honesty there is clearly risk in CDs or money market accounts or savings accounts - primarily the interest income portion of those assets are at risk (principal is FDIC insured at those type insitutitions if your accounts are setup correctly).
