Korean Street Style in Harajuku, Japan w/ Giant Metal Glove & Thug Club Fashion

Catallactics is a Korean model, club kid, and style icon who we spotted walking along the street in Harajuku. His eye-catching look featured giant metal gloves that gave the impression he’d just stepped out of a video game or anime.

Along with the giant metal gloves by aemc888, Catallactics is wearing a long coat by Korean fashion brand Thug Club (picked up at Nubian Harajuku) and horned “dragon boots” from the Thug Club x Fila Korea collaboration. His futuristic vibe is completed with Oakley Over-the-Tops glasses.

Japanese Clown-Inspired Street Style in Harajuku w/ Hello Kitty, Shironuri Makeup & Room Shoes

20-year-old Japanese beauty school student Rikito wearing a clown inspired style on the street in Harajuku, Tokyo. This street snap was shot on Rikito’s 20th birthday and he was wearing all vintage/resale fashion, a Hello Kitty with a face (that appears to be burned in), and Japanese room shoes.

Rikito has become well-known in the Harajuku street style scene this year as a result of his very original sense of style. Rikito often combines kimono, geta, and traditional Japanese fashion elements with a mix of more modern resale/vintage fashion pieces (sometimes from vintage shops, sometimes borrowed from his mom) along with shironuri makeup influenced by everything from manga to Japanese history and classic French mimes.

While Rikito’s favorite fashion designer is Japanese legend Yohji Yamamoto, he doesn’t generally wear brand clothing.

Japanese Gothic Tattoo Artist Wearing Vivienne Westwood on the Street in Harajuku, Tokyo

Alice Novi Ray is a Japanese gothic tattoo artist who we met on the street in Harajuku after dark.

In addition to his tattoos and piercing, Alice Novi Ray is wearing layered Vivienne Westwood tops with a giant Vivienne Westwood orb necklace, handmade plaid sarueru pants, a Vivienne Westwood skeleton bag, Vivienne Westwood rings, including a Vivienne Westwood armor ring, and iconic Vivienne Westwood wooden rocking horse shoes.

Japanese Visual Kei Singer in Harajuku w/ Kawaii Pink, Asakura Garo & Opanchu Usagi

Erunyan is a Japanese visual kei singer for the band Awake who we spotted on the street in Harajuku wearing a bright pink kawaii style.

Erunyan is wearing a jacket painted by the Japanese outsider artist Shuhei Tsuji of Asakura Garo, with a handmade top, countless kawaii accessories including Kirby, Opanchu Usagi, and items from Harajuku’s Ai to Kyouki no Market, handmade sarueru pants, and boots painted by Asakura Garo.

Japanese Dancer w/ Hime Hairstyle in All Black Harajuku Street Style, Not Conventional & Yosuke Boots

Japanese Designer in Custom Headpiece, Armani Jacket, Wide Short Pants, Kagari Yusuki Bag & Platform Boots

Airi is a young Japanese fashion designer – she just graduated from Vantan Fashion High School in Tokyo – who we often see around the streets of Harajuku and Shibuya.

When we ran into Airi this time, she was wearing a custom headpiece by Rou-chan with a striped Armani jacket over a sailor top, wide cutoff pants that she made herself with a large belt and belt buckle, a vintage metal necklace, a white plush seal, a bag by Kagari Yusuki, and vintage 1990s platform boots with velcro straps.

Japanese Cyber/Y2K Street Style With Pleated Jacket in Harajuku

When we spotted Jin on the street in Harajuku last weekend, we thought he may have just walked out of a 1999 issue of legendary Japanese street style magazine FRUiTS.

In addition to his Japanese cyber hairstyle, he’s wearing a pleated hooded drawstring jacket, sunglasses, wide denim shorts, leg covers, a crossbody bag, and sneakers.

While Jin didn’t share much brand info, he did tell us he’s active on Instagram.

Japanese “Denim Man” Street Style w/ Handmade Jeans Outfit & Denim Mask in Harajuku

21-year-old Japanese Bunka Fashion College student and aspiring designer Haruki wearing a handmade “whole body denim man” look on the street in Harajuku Tokyo.

Haruki is known for making his own clothes and for his love of denim, both of which are on display here. This look includes a handmade miniature denim jacket full head mask (he can see out, look for his eyes in the closeup), with matching tiny denim pants worn as a necklace, a remake jacket with entire jeans for each arm, a vintage top customized with numerous belts (maintaining the jeans theme), a crossbody bag in the shape of jeans shorts (see closeup), wide leg remake denim pants that use a full pair of pants for each leg (matching the sleeves of his jacket), and vintage boots.

Haruki also told us that his favorite band is Nirvana. He has an account for his own brand on Instagram.

Nen is a Japanese college student we often see around the streets of Harajuku. Nen is unmistakable with a unique hairstyle and fun personality.

Nen’s look here features a vintage cropped blazer with embellishments over layered vintage tops, belted shiny pants by the Japanese brand Toga, vintage accessories, and vintage boots.

Jurio is a 21-year-old Japanese college student who we often see around the streets of Harajuku.

When we met Jurio this time, he was wearing a belted blue vintage two stripes track suit with Porta Pro headphones attached to a vintage AIWA TP-17 cassette player from 1984, a vintage hat, a vintage waist bag, and pointy shoes from Tokyo Node. He also told us that his accessories, including rings, were vintage.
