Oosaravelli ... My take

First day first show @ Urvashi Theatre in Bangalore. Oosaravelli started impressing me with the titles which shows the creativity and care taken in every minute detail of the movie.

I usually love the hype given to heros in introduction, and this movie has one of the best of all i have seen recently. The background score and songs are really a treat and kudos to Rasool for the excellent camera work. NTR looked stylish with the tatto and ear piercings.

Tamanna did an excellent job in the second half and never expected this from her.Undoubtedly career best performance of Tamanna. I have to confess that the climax seemed lengthy. The fights are composed are really well and Surendar Reddy delivered his secod best movie(after Kick ;) ). The comedy is very situational and the songs could not have been better.

And not to forget that Oosaravelli was shot in 112 days unlike big commercial movies which take more than year and half usually. I wont compare this stylish visual treat with other movies .

Really disappointed with the reviews floating outside. Opinions and tastes do differ and this is my take on Oosaravelli.

As a fan i would rate this as 3.5

As a movie buff i would rate it between 3 and 3.25

Oosaravelli is realeasing worldwide tomorrow with record number of prints and screens for the first time in Telugu film industry. Now a days releasing with record number of prints has become a strategy to get good collections at the box office given the piracy and other external factors like hero range , movie genre etc.

In Hyderabad Prasads IMAX Oosaravelli is releasing with 22 screens on the first day and the count is reduced to 9 on the next day. Does this indicate the inside negative talk of the Oosaravelli (Which was also published by another box office website) ? As Oosaravelli is releasing on Thursaday and the weekend following immediately, the screens should not fall so drastically by less than 50 percent.

The film industry is recovering with good collections of Dookudu and hope this spree continues with Oosaravelli. Anyway Tarak has good fan following in B and C centres unlike Mahesh Babu and hope it neutralizes the effect of talk of the movie. Irrespective of the talk of the movie , Oosaravelli will rewrite the records of the first day in TFI for sure and rest has to be awaited.

Last time when Mahesh and Tarak fought face to face with Khaleja and Brindavanam Tarak won with a clean margin. If he proves again he will undoubtedly be declared as the No 1 hero of Tollywood.

This is my review after a long time.

PreMood : I was eagerly waiting for this movie ever since i heard the auido. Went into the theater with lot of hopes.

First half is very slow . Songs and their pictuarization is good. Karthik(nani), Radika(Nithya Menon), Vishnu, Vani (Bindu Madhavi) and Balaji are main leads and the story revovles around them. Karthik and Balaji are brothes , Vishnu being best friend of Karthik.

Vani wroks as a prostitute under Karthik's father who is a pimp.Vishnu falls in love with Vani. Vishnu dares a risk for Vani which involves drugs and local mafia .Vishnu drags Karthik into this and it turns out into a big mess. The remaining story is about how they have got out from it and whether Vishnu is able to save Vani or not.

Second has good pace and scenes between Bindu Madhavi and Vishnu are shot very well. There is no hero character as such, both Nani and Balaji have equal roles. I feel Nani could have been used better and there is no comedy at all.

Most of the character artists are from tamil and i dont think it has any chance in telugu.

Pre Mood : Energetic , enthusiastic as I have got a strong gut feel that this would be the Sankranthi winner making others whiners !

My View :

The movie feel is energetic right form the start of the titles ! Though nothing variety in the story, the director succeeded in making us thoroughly entertained.RaviTeja is as usual put up an electrifying performance but the only difference when compared to his earlier movies is he looks more glamorous in this movie.Quality of the picture is so good ,colorful and appealing.

Richa is fantabulous good in traditional wear.Her character is soft and easily likeable ! I couldn’t stop myself from humming (actually singing ) the songs in the theatre.Thanks to the LOUD system that made others not listen my voice ! By this I just wanted to tell you the songs are too good in this movie !! Thaman disappointed us with Ragada but he is back with a bang with Mirapakaay ! Director Harish Shankar who handled Shock brilliantly carved even this movie with utmost care.I doubted how is he going to handle an energetic movie like Mirapakay after knowing he is the diro of “Thriller Genre” Shock ! But he proved his mettle by directing this movie so good.Now about Dheeksha… this cute-hot gal plays a slightly different character in this movie.Her character might not be catchy but for sure her looks and beauty catches ones’ hearts ! Editing is clean and screenplay is pacy making you nevre feel bored and blah blah blah !

Overall this movie is another KICK for Mass Raja Ravi Teja fans ! of course also for normal audience, Rush to theatres/book your tickets via bookmyshow.com to watch this movie. Clean Entertainer. Sankranthi Winner for sure .. Even though AOD,GHS might become hits but nothing can stop this movie’s box office performance !

Pre Mood : Neutral. After Simha (the movie I rated ‘thumbs down’) became a standing hit in 2010 , I thought it’s time for me to tune my mind to normal Audience.The pre-mood for this movie is NEUTRAL !

My View :

In theatre just 5 minutes before the start of the movie.Balayya fans are roaring expecting another smashing hit after Simha.

Titles are decent with nice back ground score. NTR appearance in the start of the movie is very good (barring the graphic work).

BalaKrishna’s role as Ravana Brahma is simply mesmerizing. His diction (though we are not even eligible to comment on that, but I just can’t resist praising him.) is amazing.The dialogues penned by Dasari are too good (I still doubt Dasari’s hand in the dialogues).Portrayal of JayaSimha’s character is astonishing.The introduction scenes remind us of Vikramarkudu.Daces are too good in the first song. Till date I did not know , Sheela is such a good dancer.Portrayal of Komaram Bheem ‘s character is heart touching but drags at time(s).[Telangana people might have thoroughly enjoyed this episode.]The director maintains suspense through out the first half. Forgot to mention, Brahmi-Ali’s comedy is fun-inducing.If at all , you force me to give a rating for this first half – It is 5/5 !! What do you want… Hype Scenes?Glamorous Heroines? (Ameesha is really cool in this movie),Punch Dialogues?Comedy Scenes? .. Everything… You have got everything in this half.

Interval raised the expectations of mine(all audience).

Pre Mood during Interval: Though I am in the popcorn queue, my mind is still thinking of that interval bang and the marvellous back ground score.

Interval started slowly, suddenly gains some pace and again goes slowly.. this time dead slowly.While the first half makes you feel 1 hour 20 mins of time as just say 30 minutes, this half makes you pay the price for the reason u bought a ticket for Dasari’s movie.Songs timing is ridiculously bad.Slow naration. Over dose of punch dialogues(just like Komaram PULI).But by the time, the movie gains pace, one will be frustrated with slow narration.Nothing wrong with Balayya’s action.It’s a problem of script.Frankly , nothing much in this half worth deserving a mention.

My Rating.. somewhere around 2.5

Overall , Movie can be watched any number of times for it’s brilliant first half, but not even once for it’s pathetic second half.[But the first half makes you watch second half if you are watching it for the first time.]

Rating :3.25 – 3.50 !

If you are planning to watch a movie for this Sankranthi, wait for Mirapakaay !! or if you are comfortable bearing some boring scenes, please rush to ParamaVeera Chakra !

Ek Niranjan movie review

Ek Niranjan movie of Prabhas released today amidst much hype. Puri Jagannadh is desperately waiting for a success .With the response of the benefit show i can accede that he is successful.

The movie Ek Niranjan starts with a descent composed fight by Stun Siva for Prabas. May be same way as in Bujjigadu. Then we have the title song Ek Niranjan one of the best songs composed recently.Prabhas comes to town in search of his parents and he sings Ek Niranjan . Kangana Ranut is also introduced in this Ek Niranjan song. Overall it was a descent start. The dialogues between Prabhas and Kangana Ranut are funny and it depicts the trademark Puri Jagannadh style.

Sonu Sood is the villain and build up and hype built over him are rightly justified .The introduction of Ali as a pirate and comedy track by Brahmanandam are very funny. The heated argument between Prabhas and Sonu Sood is also worth mentoining.

The first half is well established and the pace is maintained in the second half. But the second half has a bit of sentiment. In the second half comedy part is handled by Sunil . Posani plays a different role and kudos to his acting . Brahmaji dialogues are also well received .

Jayeebhava third movie from the banner of Nandamuri Arts banner released today all over. Kalyan Ram has taken up the responsibiliy again after magnam opus Attanokkade and Hare Ram. Kalyan Ram proved his mettle twice with Nandamuri Arts banner and here is the laconic review of Jayeebhava

Jayeebhava stars Kalyan Ram and Hansika in the lead roles. The audio composed by Thaman for Jayeebhava was above average and their fate depends on the picturisation of the songs.

Jayeebhava starts with the introduction of hero Kalyan Ram in an emotional song. Then the fight in the first half is also worth mentioning. Hansika is introduced in a pub and she looks fabulous. The first half of Jayeebhava is amalgamated with good comedy of Venu Madhav . His timing and dialogues are appreciable like in Attanokkade. Then the second song between hero and heroine comes up which has lot of graphic work.

Jayeebhava first half ends with a fight and its average overall. The sentiment between father and son is a bit over. Second half gains momentum with the comedy gang Raghu Babu, Ali ,Brahmi and JayaPrakash Reddy. The song picturized on kids is also nice. Even the climax is entertaining but can be guessed easily. Hansika is added advantage to this movie.

Mahatma the 100th movie of Srikanth is a well executed one. Krishna Vamsi did justice to the subject Mahatma.The movie Mahatma released lately against scheduled release date of October 2nd due to the censor board and other cases in the court. Heroine Bhavana finally was able to score a hit with this movie.

Hero Srikanth is a rowdy and the movie starts with a mass introduction song of hero. Bhavana is a lawyer and the encounter between Srikanth and Bhavana is funny. Then the introduction of the villain Jayaprakash Reddy is dealt really well. The intense action scenes in the first half are worth mentioning.

The second half is filled with comedy of Brahmanandam and sattires on politics. Two songs are targetted on political parties and state politics. Hero gets influenced by Gandhi and he tries to change the society around him. The second half is all about his efforts to get the change.The second half drops in pace compared to the first half. It regains pace again with climax .

Overall the movie is a nice amalgamation of commercial ingredients. The charmee song in the first half is also well shot. This is a movie with Krishna Vamsi mark and can be watched once.

Ninnu Kalisaka movie released today. The movie stars Chaitanya, Santosh as the male leads and Deepa Sha and Priya as the female leads. This movie is directed by Siva Nageswara Rao and music by Sunil Kashyap.

The movie is a total disappointment. This is a movie which spoils the name of Ramoji Rao. The story is the worst part and even the new actors are not upto the range.

A twisted tale of romance, the story is about two couples- Chandu (Chaitanya) and Bindu (Piya), Abhiram (Santosh) and Deepa (Deepasha). The story takes a turn when Abhiram and Bindu have to go to US on a project for three months and as fate would have it, they are on the same project.
Their friendship seems to be slowly developing into attachment and by the time the project is over, they feel that they are in love.
Are they really in love? What happens to the love that they are already in? All this forms the rest of the story.

Though the movie doesnt have any recognised faces i am relying on Ramoji Rao taste . His banner Usha Kiran Movies came up with some descent movies in the recent past and i hope they disappoint me with Ninnu Kalisaka this time. The music of Ninnu kalisaka is already out and is rocking . Thats another factor which is driving me to theater.

The three tailers which released in the net are also well shot . Ramoji Rao's last movie Nachavule was a above average movie but it could not do well at the box office because of lack of publicity. I hope he has necessary steps to see that this movie Ninnu Kalisaka is well publicized. Lets see how the movie goes.

Rechipo movie review after first show

Rechipo movie review released today all over the world. The movie stars Nithin and Ileana in the main leads. Nithin is eagerly waiting for a hit as all his previous movies were not even average grossers. This movie is equally important for Ileana as there no new offers for her.

The movie is a good mix of all commercial elements.The first half is filled with introduction, comedy and descent songs. The second half is full of rescuing missions , unreal action scenes and weak climax. Overall the second half changed the fate of the movie.

The movie starts with introducing Nithin in a chase.Then it goes on he falling in love with Ileana and trying to woo her. In the first half comedy is well handled by Sunil and M S Narayana. Movie has cricket betting as the backdrop and hero is a con who steals the money.

Here comes the second half which is dragged a bit. Ileana is kidnapped and hero is the one who rescues her with some unbelievable action scenes. The climax of the movie can be easily expected.

Overall the movie shows Ileana with extra glamour. She has evolved over the years and now her body is well toned. Songs on Ileana and Nithin are the eye catching ones. Nithin once again reveals his six pack.

Ganesh movie released today throughout AndhraPradhesh with huge number of prints. The movie stars Ram and Kajal in the main leads.Ganesh is produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. Their combination was already successful with the blockbuster of Ready. I am afraid to say that they are not upto the mark this time.

Bramhanandam did a great job.He played the role of a don and his timing was excellent.The songs are in no relation with the movie pace. No much story in the first half except the introduction of Ram and Kajal and introduction song for Ram with kids.

The movie starts with portraying Ram as the one with great humanity by helping others. He falls in love with Kajal at the first sight. He tries all the possible ways to get close to her and ends up in troubles. This was shown with comedy.

Finally Kajal approves Rams love and at the same time the rivalry between Ram and Asish starts. The movie ends with Kajal coming back to Ram .

People find the movie dragged. This becomes more in the second half.The climax fight can be easily expected and overall not o good screenplay.Even the fights are not impressive. Picturisation of the songs was good .Ram showed maturity in dialogue delivery and Kajal is just the same . Costumes of Kajal should have been better. The new look of Ram is not well received. The mass rough look with slight beard might work.

Eenadu movie the mutli starrer one which got released is an above average movie .The movie can reach the multiplex audience and A class centres. If you have already watched "A Wednesday" there is nothing much you can enjoy new.

The director is impressive as he is able to maintain the suspense throughtout the movie as in the original one.Kamal Hasan appears in a different look with heavy beard. He plays the role of a common man. Venkatesh plays the role of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner. Both played their roles effectively. Even Shruthi Hasan is effective in her music department. She couldnot have been better. The dialogues are really awesome.

On the flip side the dubbing is not that good. U get to see some flaws in lip synchronization. As the film is made in a very short peroid such errors are common. The cinematography, the pace of the movie are the crowd pullers for this movie.

Overall the movie is a treat for all those who havent watched the Hindi version.

Eenadu the much awaited movie is going to release on this friday.Eenadu stars Venkatesh and Kamal Hasan in Telugu .Mohan Lal played Venkatesh role in other language.This movie is a clear remake of hindi movie "A Wednesday".

Its already revealed that the length of movie is relatively less .Kamal Hasans daughter Shruthi Hasan composed music for this film.There are no songs in this movie.Lets see how well can they portray the roles of Anupem Kher and Naseruddin Shah. This movie was a blockbuster in Hindi but couldnot do well in B and C class centers.

Wish all the best to Kamal Hasan and Victory Venkatesh.

Sankham movie review is here.The first half of the movie is filled with comedy and a twist before the interval.The second half is action oriented one.Overall the movie is good entertainer .

The movie starts in Australia where hero Gopichand happens to see Trisha and he falls for her.He follows her and chases her.Another side story in AP with rivarly between two groups is also simultaneously shown.Gopichand returns to India for Trisha and here get to know that they belong to two rivalry groups.

How Gopichand handled the situation and reached Trisha is the remaining story.

The plus points of the movie being Ali comedy in the first half,Trisha looking gorgeous than ever before and the faction plot.

The negative points being weak story.

Gopichand is very confident of this movie and this movie is a full length mass entertainer.This movie has some political touch to its story. Its clearly evident from the trailer relasesed. The music is average and mostly depends on the picturization of the songs.

Josh Telugu movie review

The much awaited Josh movie released today with hype and is above average. The movie c to be frank is not a pakka hit movie.This movie is a clear cut remake of Shiva.

The director was not totally successful in presenting the Chaitanya.The movie begins with Chaitanya coming to city for studies.Heroine karthika works as a teacher for kindergarten.Then she files a complaint against the villain JD Chakravarthy who involves a riot and Chaintanya being the eye witness. Chaitanya falls in love with Karthika and rescues students of MGM college from the villain and teaches JD Chakri a lesson.

J D Chakri brings the politics into the college and he exploits the students for his selfish ends.This is the story line of Shiva which is copied as it as.

On the bright side the performance of Prakash Raj in the second half,fights of Chaitanya and few songs .

On the flip side the dialogue delivery of Chaitanya and same old story .The flashback could have been more impressive. The movie could have been more impressive by adding commercial elements . The comedy section was talk.

Aarya 2 songs are released in the net and are creating waves.I cannot post the links for you because of the copy rights issue.The songs are really good and that convinces me that they are from the movie.

I doubt this as a publicity stunt as these days we saw many such releases from top movies.Video song from Jalsa,Shivaji songs before release and recenlty magadheera video .All these make me believe that this is a publicity stunt.

The movie stars Allu Arjun,Kajal agarwal and navdeep in the lead roles .The director of Aarya 2 is testing his luck as his previous flick failed at the box-office

Mallanna story is leaked in internet and news and dont know this leaked.Mallanna supposed to be out long back is facing tough time .The sources say that that Mallanna is similar to the movie Sivaji and Gentleman .Mallanna tries to recover money from the wealthy and spreads it among the poor. In the way of stealing money he disguises himself in those getups .This is why he needs those getups. Shriya Saran likes Mallanna and follows him to lover her and she becomes violent at times in the way.

Overall lets see how far these sources are correct .The audio which released recently is average .But the video of the songs of Mallanna is excellent. Even Vikram looks posh and stylish.All the best to Vikram.

Ride movie review-Ride telugu Cinema Review

The movie Ride released today with no hype and is almost up to the expectations. The movie has all the necessary elements of a commercial movie.

The love story, friendship and sentiment worked out well.The background score is also excellent.

The movie starts introducing the family backgrounds of the lead roles and then their daily routine and how they fell in love .Then the groupism and the fights between Nani and Tanish.

Tanish and Nani are good friends.Tanish is responsible and good boy type where as Nani is a bit jovial character who enjoys 24*7. Nani and Tanish get into a fight in a certain issue and how they handle the issue is the rest of the movie.

The photography is excellent.

Overall its a youthful entertainer and one can go and watch the movie for sure.Swetha Basu Prasad and Aksha of "Kotta Bangaru Lokam " and "Yuvatha" fame are well exploited .
