Bass Guitar Advice: 5 Top Tips

Now I’d like to share with you some of the simplest bass infomation I have learned to date. I’ve managed to narrow it down into the five top tips that will empower you with everything you need to play bass guitar.
A handful of these could seem rather uncomplicated but are often simple to forget. It might be tempting to attempt to jump over some of the basics of studying bass. This is a massive mistake and can really slow you down in the long term.
1. Make sure you bass guitar is tuned
This basic step is easy nevertheless frequently dismissed. Always tune your bass guitar before you begin practising. The quickest and easiest way to go about this is buying an bass tuner.
2. Warm up
After you have tuned your bass guitar you should then warm up. This will help to get your hands ready to play properly. Warming up will help you to avoid hand injuries and pains from practsing. It often gives your fingers chances to stretch and get ready to begin practicing before you jump into the intense part of your playing or practise.
3. Learn the notes of the bass fretboard
Memorizing the notes of the bass guitar fretboard is something you should take a few minutes taking the time to study. Not many people, even bassists who have been playing for years still don’t know the notes of the bass guitar. So take the time to learn it.
4. Start learning songs
It’s a great idea to select a slow song and begin learning it even if you have not been playing bass long. Just start with something simple and slow it down into little bits. Sometimes beginner bass guitar players delay picking up music until after a few years and concentrate on bass guitar chords, bass guitar scales and theory. I recommend that after you're familiar with the basic bass technique of playing and fretting notes you're ready to begin your first song.
5. Have a plan
Having a bass practise routine is what helped transform my bass playing. Once I had a set routine of what to do each day my bass guitar playing developed drastically. If at the moment you pick up your bass and just play about on it, it's most likely the reason you are not seeing the advancement you’d like to have. Having a bass schedule is some of the top bass advice I can tell you.
I hope you have found this bass guitar advice useful. I believe if you put all 5 of these tips in your practise and put them to work for you you will have much greater results.
