This man raps with such flow its almost poetry. He's only 20 years of age and is already throwing such talent into the Hip-Hop world. His style has been described as mellow and chilled nostalgic vibe, with strong influences from 90's Hip Hop.

Over the past couple of years 'Jay Prince' has worked on a few projects. His most recent is 'Mellow Vation' which is quite something. I'm going to share a couple of tracks from this and the free download link to 'Mellow Vation'. Give this young man a listen, it'll be worth your time.

DeJa Vu I hear a couple of you say, well you're not wrong. In September 2012 I fell head over heels with a singer/songwriter who goes by the name of 'Lucy Rose' and since then I haven't found a new female vocalist that I can rave and rant about to anyone I like as I know their feeling would be mutual.

But things have now changed, I stumbled across this lovely track called 'Smokestacks' and it is by an adorable London based singer called 'LAYLA'. Her vocals send shivers down my spine and with the accompaniment of her talented backing singers it is nothing but a work of outstanding artistry. She is to release an EP on the 28th April, 'Black Mud' and I advise you all to get it.

Here is a fantastic band to come bursting out of sheffield at such a young age. They have unbelievable talent and with there soft rock, indie wave vibes I can see amazing things happen to these young lads. With the release of their forthcoming EP 'Sun City' which is being released on 7th April 2014 with 'Plastic Fish Records' come two amazing songs which I'm going to share. The first is called 'You' which is a nice, easy name which roles simply off the tongue, the other is... well, here goes, 'Poa Kichizi Kama Ndizi '. Don't ask, just listen.

Arthur Beatrice - Grand Union

Another band who have shot to fame over the past few months, With the release of there new album 'Working Out' earlier this year they seem to be the talk of the town. I'm going to share 'Grand Union' with you, which has some spectacular vocals, exquisite harmonies and is completed with subtle guitar riff undertones. Playing at various festivals throughout the summer I would definitely try and catch this band well they are still fresh off the shelf.

Khushi - Phantoms EP

Amerigo Gazaway - Fela Soul

I find myself speaking of this man once again. Only a matter of days ago I was raving about the mixtape that 'Amerigo Gazaway' produced, 'Yasiin Gaye'. He has an unbelievable talent to blend multiple genres from all different era's and bring them together like they were meant to be. But I'm not here to speak about 'Yasiin Gaye', i'm here to speak about another fantastic piece of work that this man worked on, 'Fela Soul', which burst into his life in 2011 when it literally became an internet sensation over night. It's an 9 track, 33 minute trip into a world where 90's rap meets 60's afrobeat...

Two South London DJ's have come out with this banger, it's been known to drop this into a genre called 'multipop' but to keep things simple, its chilled out electronica. This song is called 'White Snow' and it has a fantastic downtempo minimalistic beat which, with the lyrics, makes a masterpiece. Enjoy.

The Gap band - Outstanding

The Gap Band is a disco, funk and soul music group who rose to fame during the 1970s. Comprising brothers Charlie, Ronnie and Robert Wilson, the band first formed as the Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band in 1967 in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The group shortened its name to The Gap Band. Here's their tune Outstanding, which was released in 1982.

Scoundrels - Sexy Weekend

Formed in London but as you can tell from there music they've hung around the deep south of the states and got a raw bluesy, soul vibe going for them. Almost a British Alabama Shakes. Clean Bandit - Live Review

Clean bandit are a four piece Electro group which was formed in Cambridge, England. They mix classical music with Electronic and deep-house elements and invite guest vocalists to feature on a track that they produce. Signed to Atlantic records they have blown out of the water with a track called ‘Rather Be’ which took them right to the top of the UK charts. Alongside three other released singles they have been working towards their debut album ‘New Eyes’ which is due to be released on 12^th May.

Tonight was one of the first gigs on what is going to be an enormous summer for the band of 2014 with over 20 shows spread all over Europe, and it was a privilege to attend such an intimate gig.

I walked down the deep dark streets of east London en route to The Laundry music venue in Hackney see the Eminent ‘Clean Bandit’. When we entered the established venue we were hit instantly by a wave of smoke which engulfed us. I was ecstatic to see how they were going to manage to throw string instruments into the mixer but yet come out with a funky, Electro, deep house vibe. And I’ll tell you one thing, they did not disappoint.

They kicked off with there second ever single ‘Mozart’s House’. This is one way to trigger off what was going to be an incredibly powerful spine tingling gig. They then dropped ’Rihanna’ which took us back to the mid 2000s and slowed everyone down into more of a low paced grove. ‘Dust Clears’ was a few tracks later, which once again put everyone in a state of ecstasy. How I had once questioned there ways of producing and playing music was beyond me, I was now a Bandit.

Next to come was a cover, but this was not just a cover, it was a scene of utter beauty as the violins were raised and cello strings were plucked it was none other than ‘Wildfire’ by the masked man himself and London based DJ, SBTRKT. As the heavy base line dropped the band locked eyes with the crowd and poetry was made.

A couple songs later we found ourselves at one of Clean Bandits most renowned songs A & E, their first single ever released. It was nothing but enjoyed by all because of it raw vocals and deep backbeat.

We were then screaming for an encore as Clean Bandit left the stage for a slight pause and breather. As they came bounding back onto the stage in reply to many a shout, we witnessed what proceeded to be the final raise of the string instruments to the cheekbone and pure sound then began to flood through the smokey half lit venue. The first cord of ‘Rather Be’ was then struck and madness spread like a wildebeest across the savannah.

With a total of 13 songs spread across the set list which lasted just over an hour, Clean Bandit did what all had expected and put on a great show.

I’m going to leave with something they did a month ago whilst on BBC radio 1’s Live Lounge. It’s a cover of ‘Royals’ by Lorde. I’m going to leave the rest to the power of this video, if you haven’t experienced this video in for a treat…

Paul Weller - Wildwood

In September 1993 the great 'Paul Weller' released a solo album called 'Wildwood'. He went back to his old habits and created a rock masterpiece. It was his second solo album and to me its his greatest, alongside the amazing guitar riffs comes Pauls raw and talented vocals. Over the past couple of weeks you would have seen that I already mentioned one track from the album 'Moon On Your Pyjama's'. I'm now going to share a couple more.

First is 'Foot Of The Mountain' second 'Hung Up' and lastly, one of my favourites off the album 'The Weaver'. I strongly advise you all not to just listen to these three but definitely get the album, its honestly one of the greatest...

Hunter & The Bear

Hunter & The Bear are a British group lead by Jimmy Hunter & Will Irvine. Inspired by some of the greatest artists in the world, The Band, Dire Straits and & Bob Dylan, Hunter & The Bear have burst onto the music scene. With a performance in late December last year at one of the most famous venue's in the world, Ronnie Scott's, Hunter & The Bear are really making a name for themselves in the capital, and I can tell you one thing, there name is spreading like a stampeding wildebeest across the Savannah.

I'm going to share two songs with you, the first is an acoustic masterpiece which was done in October last year called 'The North'. The second is even better, 'Forest On The Hill' which is taken from their forthcoming EP which will be released in early to mid 2014. Finally, these guys will be supporting the ever so talented Eric Clapton on his 2014 UK tour. Ladies and Gentleman look out for this band because they my friends are in fifth gear burning up the fast lane.

George Taylor - Lonesome Soul
