I haven't been blogging or doing any new videos recently because i have been really busy making collars and cardigans and finding some lovely vintage clothes to go on my brand new online shop called Miss Lawes Adores :) it is a mixture of old and new items in my shop, so lots of vintage clothing and also lots of things hand made by me.

My January, valentines edition glossy box came through the post this morning and i was so excited to open it and find a shocking pink box shining in my face much like a holy relic would! I think i herd angles singing. Either that or a very talented postman.

I have taken photos of my step by step opening the box. (my favorite part). So there they are!

All i have to do is lift the lid!!

Nope, there is a card to read!

Actually, don't look at this yet!

It tells you what the products are. Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise now would we?

Now un-tie the ribbon and un-stick the cute heart shaped sticker.

Bow hair bun 🎀

I really loved paris hiltons hair bow from my other post and wondered weather it was her real hair or just a hairpiece? anyway, i decided i would give it a go using my own hair. so i played around a bit and ended up with this funky doo. i created this look by using one hairband and a few bobby pins (about 10 max).

Im really pleased with the result of this look, it is really easy to do and is a great alternative to an ordinary bun :)

You can wear this bow with a fringe or with all of your hair scraped back, you could also experiment by making a mini bow and have most of your hair down!

John Frieda - Go Blonder spray - £7

I bought this product the other day with the intention to use it on the ends of my hair to gradually lighten it in order to have a style like Drew Barrymore's ombre hair! i followed the instructions on the packet but and sprayed it onto my towel dried hair. i then dried it and started to use flat irons on it, because the packaging stated that it reacts with heat to colour the hair. I Then realised that my hand was burning from the spray. my hand started coming up in little white blisters where it had reacted badly to the chemicals so i quickly went to wash it off! my hand stayed red and saw for the rest of that day, almost as if i had burnt it! i was really unhappy with this product, even though my hair was noticeably lighter after just one use, i would not use it again!
After having this bad reaction i decided to go online and read reviews of the product to see if anyone had the same reaction as me, but to my surprise there were way over 100 reviews saying that it had put there hair in a really bad condition to the point where it was breaking off at the roots after being brushed through! Although this is probably a cheaper way to lighten hair, its not worth the risk! its better to pay a little more for a hairdresser to do it than having a burning hand and no hair left!

My must have accessory for this week is the hair bow!

I have loved hair bows ever since I knitted one in 2009. This particular one I found the other week In Primark for £1.50. It's so cute and such a bargain! How could I resist?

The best thing about this primark hair bow is that the clip on the back is so versatile that it can even be worn on clothes or bags. You could even buy 2 and use them to jazz up some old shoes for a tea party!

from oversized bows such as ones worn by Katy perry and gaga, to understated elegant bows worn by the likes of Lilly Allen and Paris hilton. nothing finishes off an outfit quite like it!

Your never fully dressed without a bow!

I still can't help but think minnie mouse was the trend setter for this though!

Victory rolls part 2 (the up-do)

This is another little tutorial I have created in order to show you something a little unconventional yet creative you can do with the same victory roll technique.

Although victory rolls were a 40's/50's hair style, i still think they are wearable and easy to do for an everyday look. or if you are a busy body, then a great style for a night out when you have more time to get ready! :)

Fancy nails!

Ok, so at the moment I have no life!

My time has been consumed with nail art! If I'm not doing it then I am ordering more supplies from eBay!

I'm just a little disappointed that evolution only granted me with 10 fingers!

Im really loving floral designs at the moment! There are a lot of minx and decals you can buy in floral themes, but the best ones would have to be cath kidston esk ones.

These nails great for brightening up wintery chapped hands and look great with a clashing floral print ring from primark for £2 :) cheap AND snazzy!
