And it was very special that my mother was there next to me during the ceremony.  The last time I remember being at an event similar to this was when my father retired from the Army in 1985.

I would allow companies that are completely incompetent and run by horrible businessmen that can’t compete with all the other companies to fail.  That is the American way.  Case in point – General Motors.  Or Government Motors because the government using your hard earned tax dollars bailed  the company out and and is now the largest shareholder.

The initial offering price of $33 per share is now long gone after less than a year.  It went public on November 19th, 2011 and now sits at $23.40.  That means we have lost almost 30% on the investment in less than 10 months.  Awesome!!

And that price is based on fictional sales.  That is because they count a car sold when it is delivered to the dealers not when it is actually sold to someone.  And the numbers of cars sitting on dealer lots continues to grow every month.  It is called channel stuffing and it will soon blow up and take the company and the dealers down.

This is something that will not happen when I am President.  The company will be allowed to fail, dismantled and assets sold off.  Sorry but that is how the country was built and that is how it should continue.

And what happened to the $45.6 Billion?  Only $2 Billion was used for completely ineffective programs such as HAMP and HAFA.  The government, or more accurately, the people in charge of our government made the programs so complicated and useless that no one can actually qualify to get the money.

They did this for one of two reasons.  Either they intended on making it too hard to qualify thereby keeping the housing market in the dumps or they are so incompetent they don’t know what to do.  Both are viable answers considering the track record of our government officials.

And now that they can’t figure out a way to use the money, they have given up and are going to give the money back to the Treasury.  Well done gentlemen.  Way to fix the biggest single cause of the recession and the reason we are going to go into another recession, if in fact you believe we ever came out of the last one.

Please do not elect anyone currently in office. Please.  I beg you.  We will only get more of the same crap.

Please elect Tony Arko for President of the United States.

If I am elected as the President of the United States, my very first order will be the immediate end to all wars.  Period.  No questions asked.

Also, I would start eliminating unnecessary positions, advisors, csars and departments that are completely worthless and do more harm that good.  Two of the first to go will be FEMA and the Council of Economic Advisors.  These two money sucking groups will be terminated right after the wars are ended.

But a different factor made it the most prolonged of recessions. Aiming at a symptom of recession rather than at the cause, the government pursued an array of policies to prevent prices from falling, which had the perverse effect of preventing the economy from recovering. The government’s would-be medicine was, in fact, poison.

And the main culprit for the price lifting is the printing of money.

I am a natural-born citizen on the United States even though I was born in West Germany.  My father was stationed in the Army and both of my parents are US citizens.  So this will not be an issue going forward unlike the debacle Obama created by failing to produce a birth certificate.  (That should have been a clue he was unfit to lead anything.)

I will not be choosing a party.  The parties are just names that create partisanship and create fighting.  No more fighting.  If I need to pick a party it will be the American party.

I am going to run on a platform of 4 major items.

First Platform Point – Large financial institutions will no longer be legal.  Banks will only be able to be regional.  They will not be able to be international.  They will not be able to own brokerage firms, investment firms, hedge funds or any other speculative business.  They will have to go back to being banks and banks only.  Just like they were before Glass-Steagall was repealed by the idiots in Congress in 1999.  It is not a coincidence that our financial institutions exploded with risk, fraud and corruption at precisely this time.

Second Platform Point – Political contributions directly to candidates will no longer be allowed.  You can raise money for a political party and all that money is pooled.  Term limits for Senators will be 2 and for Congressman will be 4.

Third Platform Point – All wars and military maneuvers outside of the US will end immediately.  We will continue to have a presence in countries only if those countries request our presence.

Fourth Platform Point – The Federal Reserve will end.  All they have done in the last 30 years is create bubbles that burst.  Absolutely useless.

Home ownership hits lowest level since 1965

The National Association of REALTORS, the banking industry, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, Congress, etc. have clearly failed in their mission to increase the percentage of Americans that own their own home.  They have failed miserably.  And they have failed through nobody’s fault but their own.

But was home ownership truly their goal?  Maybe it was for NAR.  But they worked as an unwitting ally with the banks to achieve the real goal of the banks and government which was the increase of indebtedness of the American people.

And they continue to push this same agenda of the banks today in the form of the Mortgage Interest Deduction.  It is the Mortgage Interest Deduction and not the Home Ownership Deduction because you have to borrow money, pay a fee, pay interest and have a lien put on your property in order to get the deduction if in fact you qualify.

People who own their homes free and clear get no tax credit or write off.  Why doesn’t NAR fight for them?
